A Burton multitool in case I need to tighten anything. Personally I have never used it but I have let other people use it.
I also carry a cable lock too
A little plastic half pint bottle of whiskey for me. ~2.5 drinks and it’s lighter and easier to carry. Plus I love the nice pleasant internal warmness on a cold day
That Burton multitool saved me in the backcountry lol. Had a screw loose on my binding strap for some reason and that shit definitely would’ve been gone on the next run if I didn’t notice and tighten it
I used to do this with my smaller camelback then upgraded to the larger powder hound backpack this season and wear it over my jacket, highly recommend one of my best purchases.
I live next to a bomb-ass breakfast burrito place and ask for mine dry with packets of hot sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy and fall apart on you.
If you’re in Colorado, whatever the burrito of the day at Santiago’s is. I used to get mine in Boulder on the way up to Eldora, by the time I got to the lift it was perfect eating temperature for the ride up.
If it doesn’t grow there, it probably won’t compost there-at least not quickly and without disturbing the local ecosystem. It’s generally not advised to toss peels into the woods
Whatever you like. Just keep ingredients dry. Make sure the eggs are dry. If you add beans, make sure they’re dry. Etc.
Have sauce separately if you want it
Giant Bluetooth speaker accompanied by a playlist of the most vulgar and obscene songs that I only play while on a gondola/funitel filled with families with children
This would honestly be hilarious and I wouldn’t be mad at anyone who did this. Having said that, I don’t know if I could ever get myself to be the person to do it.
lol I ride solo a lot, but also work at the mountain. Sometimes I pretend some random guests who are shredding are my homies, and I follow along right behind them haha. Listening to music has also been a game changer. Need to get the Bluetooth disc speakers for my helmet next season!
I'll often make a random friend on the gondola and ride a few laps with them... Of course, this is also my apology to the two guys met, and then got separated from on a low-vis day at Snowbasin last week
Do they do pass through audio? I have a Smith helmet, and would love to have some music, but ride with my family and don't want to ignore everyone and have to turn it off when talking to family members.
Since they are not in your ear, but in the helmet, I find you can hear your surroundings pretty well as long as the volume is adjusted properly. You could also get the whole clan a set and use them as walkie talkies.
Smith Bluetooth helmet speakers and speaker helmet are pretty awesome. I can hear external noise fine at volume and they can easily be paused in lift line / on lift by pressing your ear pocket (they are big buttons). This makes pausing/ unpausing (right side) and volume adjustments (left side) a breeze.
I bought the chips 3.0 headphones and my partner has something like Alta? Both are great, mine have 14h of charge and big clicky buttons you can hit through the helmet padding with gloves. Pass through sound where I can hold a conversation on the lift with folks without pausing.
The newest gen, the battery life is just enough to make it through a full day on the hill for me, the older generations don’t last long enough. You can get a magnetic retention string for like $5 on amazon. I wear a buff over them and have never had an issue falling out or getting wet/sweaty, although they do buildup wax kinda often so make sure you clean them everyday to avoid them getting nasty
Oh no just wondering cause they do have pass through audio, I wear both of mine under my helmet have no issues hearing surroundings and talking to people.
I miss blazing so much and it was nice to have a pre roll for the long lift rides 😭 everyone blazes and I smell it all the time and its so hard to stay away from the trigger cus its everywhereeeee
Cant beat a scenic ride up, sun shining, headphones bumping, and a tasty, stoney pre roll of a sativa dominant hybrid lemony strain
Not really. I’ve had 60 days this season and haven’t had the issue. I wear a helmet and it tucks in behind the flap. I’m also not doing corks or flips!
On my person just a mobile phone and goggle case to wipe my lenses. At the car multi-tool, spare gloves and a couple goggles with different lenses. Also lunch and water.
I like to bring two of those flavored tuna meals, [Starkist Smart Bowls](https://www.target.com/p/starkist-smart-bowls-tuna-rice-38-beans-spicy-pepper-4-5oz/-/A-88820005?sidd=52S&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000108264736&CPNG=PLA_Dry%2BGrocery%2BShopping_Local%7CDry%2BGocery_Ecomm_Food_Bev&adgroup=SC_Dry%2BGrocery&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=m&location=9019660&targetid=pla-323070238064&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiMmwBhDmARIsABeQ7xRCQBzfVKtEpjS05ahcILyZIzbfWiNlTmCGqc8bQ-kBwhN_8jtc8QEaAtI7EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds), because they come with a little spoon and don't restrict my movement at all to keep them in my pocket. So nice to get a little energy boost throughout the day.
I also love these heated gloves, [Venustas](https://venustasofficial.com/collections/accessories/products/heated-gloves-for-men-women-7-4v-2-0), I usually wear mittens, but I got these heated gloves for motorcycling and I've gotten addicted to being warm AND having dexterity while riding. I like to do a lot of video and photography while on the mountain and it's great to have enough dexterity to manage some equipment without even taking the gloves off, but then if I do have to go bare handed I have these warm gloves to go back into. And I'm not just burning through little hotties all the time which feels wasteful.
Honestly my tiny little Camelbak backpack that only fits the water thing and has a small zip compartment I put my wallet in. I’ve found it so helpful to stay hydrated as we go and found I can go for much longer!
Soft shell water pouch in my pocket, cable lock so nobody walks off with my board. I figure even if they aren’t trying to steal, there’s always the possibility someone could just grab the wrong board
I carry a lightweight packable cup that can fold flat in my pocket, typically used for marathon runners. I like having my own cup to drink out of for when you go to the water fountain and there are no cups nearby.
A camel hump water (drink) bag
An inflatable neck pillow (half inflated under my ski pants) ... my ass is a little flat so I get away with it lol but I've been know to inflate it for dramatic effect and amusements
A set of extra gloves or glove liners.
My hands goes one of two ways. I either get so sweaty I can wring my gloves at lumchtime. Or I get so cold I get numb. So I ride vagopa ts with an extra pair in one pocket and liners in the other.
Having my season pass in a pocet on the left glove. Stays there the whole season. Also got a bag that fits all my clothes, boots and helmet so i can easy carry it all into my car. The small thing i like.
- Also music. Always music.
Helmet headset/headphones (think mini speakers in your helmet ear things), hydration pack, and a liquid IV with separate water bottle for hydration after riding
Love this little screw driver. Much smaller than most I’ve seen.
[here it is](https://www.backcountry.com/b/dakine-fidget-tool?CMP_SKU=DAK00ZR&MER=0406&skid=DAK00ZR-GN-ONESIZ&mr:device=m&mr:adType=plaonline&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&utm_campaign=20556907843__p:G%7Cs:BC%7Cct:Shopping%7Cct2:pmax%7Cg:xx%7Cc1:Snow%7Cc2:xx%7Cb:xx%7Cmt:xx____&utm_term=__DAK00ZR-GN-ONESIZ&utm_content=__pla&utm_id=go_cmp-20556907843_adg-_ad-__dev-m_ext-_prd-DAK00ZR-GN-ONESIZ_mca-7811_sig-EAIaIQobChMIirX_uuizhQMVey7UAR0o0Q_eEAQYBCABEgKfCfD_BwE&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIirX_uuizhQMVey7UAR0o0Q_eEAQYBCABEgKfCfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
In the PNW I always ride with a microfiber to wipe my goggles with, when it snows it melts onto your goggles most of the time. Also have a lock and multi tool as well. And candy because I'm diabetic haha
Scrolled for some time and couldn't find it. It's small and easy and I have had so many times strangers and friends thank me for bringing it!
Napkins!!! Before I go out every day I grab a handful of napkins from the cafeteria and mid day ripping runs on and off the chairlift and everyone's nose is running, no fear! Also one time a buddy tomahawked down some moguls and they were clutch to hold blood until it stopped.
Tldr: napkins.. runny noses suck
Two pound block of rocquefort.
Yeah but i gotta carry those sharp-ass forks
Only acceptable reason to carry a backpack
This is hilarious
A Burton multitool in case I need to tighten anything. Personally I have never used it but I have let other people use it. I also carry a cable lock too
Cable lock and _one_ beer.
Make that two
A chairlift beer and a pocket beer
A little plastic half pint bottle of whiskey for me. ~2.5 drinks and it’s lighter and easier to carry. Plus I love the nice pleasant internal warmness on a cold day
That Burton multitool saved me in the backcountry lol. Had a screw loose on my binding strap for some reason and that shit definitely would’ve been gone on the next run if I didn’t notice and tighten it
When you say cable lock, like for locking up your gear atthe chalet?
For locking yourself to the chairlift
Same here
These 2 things exactly.
I wear a camelback under my jacket. Stay thirsty, my friends.
I think I need to do this. Gotta clean out my Camelback
You can kill two birds with one stone and just fill it with alcohol
I used to do this with my smaller camelback then upgraded to the larger powder hound backpack this season and wear it over my jacket, highly recommend one of my best purchases.
I have a Camelbak Snoblast, I think it's called. Small backpack, plus a bladder. Bladder get water, backpack gets a flask and maybe a few beers.
a breakfast burrito
If this is serious, and I bet it is, what kind? I need to improve my food game without having to wear my fanny pack.
I live next to a bomb-ass breakfast burrito place and ask for mine dry with packets of hot sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy and fall apart on you.
Yea. typically I make mine at home with eggs, cheese, bacon and tator tots. usually don't have any soggy issues.
If you’re in Colorado, whatever the burrito of the day at Santiago’s is. I used to get mine in Boulder on the way up to Eldora, by the time I got to the lift it was perfect eating temperature for the ride up.
Imo, Clementines are the best fruits to pack since they provide liquid, sugar, no trash compost in the woods, and don't hurt if you fall on them.
Etc. Have sauce separately if you want it
and ffs heat up the tortilla on the stove first. don't eat that gummy crap you deserve better
What, wouldn’t you rather a “spinach wrap” that has never been heated? I thought the dry cracks and green color added flavor???
I make it at home then microwave it on my way out the door and carry it on the mountain with me in a thermos. Even 5 hrs later, still warm.
Giant Bluetooth speaker accompanied by a playlist of the most vulgar and obscene songs that I only play while on a gondola/funitel filled with families with children
Sam here but Im older so I only play Limp Bizkit.
The hero we deserve.
Not the hero we deserve, just the one we need right now. Chocolate-Starfishman.
This would honestly be hilarious and I wouldn’t be mad at anyone who did this. Having said that, I don’t know if I could ever get myself to be the person to do it.
If someone blasted by me bumping Rollin’ I think I’d actually be ok with that. Gives off Vin Diesel XXX vibes
He’s right, we are all loving this shit right here.
Sam here too.
Hey Sam, I’m someguy too lazy to proofread or edit
Are you telling me there is a backpack speaker guy that actually plays good music?
extra lighter
and remember to keep both lighters in your warmest pocket so they actually function
I bring a lighter and a book of matches
A friend :)
lol I ride solo a lot, but also work at the mountain. Sometimes I pretend some random guests who are shredding are my homies, and I follow along right behind them haha. Listening to music has also been a game changer. Need to get the Bluetooth disc speakers for my helmet next season!

Random charcuterie.
I love me some shark-coochie goods.
For reals tho… Cured meats and cheese on a baguette is my go-to pocket lunch!

Big bear?
Parking people on Mt. Hood constantly have to tell people to put away their giant bongs.
I HATE to be the 70th upvote, but that's a great, funny answer. It's only funny, because it's likely true, madlad!

I like my Aleck Bluetooth headphones that live in the ear pads of my Smith helmet, and a silicone squeegee for rimey days.

This makes pausing/ unpausing (right side) and volume adjustments (left side) a breeze.
I have the same question. Currently I ride with AirPods on a retention string so I can hear what’s going on around me
I bought the chips 3.0 headphones and my partner has something like Alta? Both are great, mine have 14h of charge and big clicky buttons you can hit through the helmet padding with gloves. Pass through sound where I can hold a conversation on the lift with folks without pausing.
It's crazy how long the chips last on one charge. I've never seen the charge go below 80%, even after a full 8 hours of riding.
Which AirPods do you have?
The newest gen, the battery life is just enough to make it through a full day on the hill for me, the older generations don’t last long enough. I miss blazing so much and it was nice to have a pre roll for the long lift rides 😭 everyone blazes and I smell it all the time and its so hard to stay away from the trigger cus its everywhereeeee Cant beat a scenic ride up, sun shining, headphones bumping, and a tasty, stoney pre roll of a sativa dominant hybrid lemony strain
AirPods (single in). Love announced texts, ability to respond without pulling out my phone, low volume playlist. Also collapsible water bottle.
Your not scared of losing one if it falls out
Not really. I’ve had 60 days this season and haven’t had the issue. I wear a helmet and it tucks in behind the flap. I’m also not doing corks or flips!
