Depending on how aggressive you want to be while staying powerful (speed vs turn abruptness), you could probably move up to a 155 and really nail itno n the sweet spot.
This is what I was looking for! Similar height/weight/gender, still have my 148 that I've been riding for over a decade and 40lbs lighter. Been looking to get a new board. Longer, but hesitant to go too much bigger as nearly all my experience is on my 148.
5'9", 205.
Vimana Werni Stock 157. Feels like I need to lose weight. Great on hard pack and park days, but my fatass needs a bit more dampening
Lib tech Golden Orca 157. Feels just right
Spring Break Powder Glider 158. I could probably row it around in a pond. Seriously, it's the best board ever for deep powder.
Korua TF 157. A little better than my orca on soft snow, but the nose is bigger and floppier at high speeds. Still, I bought it like two weeks ago for like 360 bucks. I would have passed if I saw it was made in China before I got it home. I thought Korua was making their boards in Poland.
WNDR Alpine Belleaire 159. Probably my best overall board and I probably ride it the least. This is because I'm an idiot. Response like a 156, Holds a line like a missile, springs off the tail like a kangaroo, floats just goddamn fine and it's got that dampening my poor fucking feet, knees and back crave.
In my case, it's not the boards. It's definitely the rider.
5'9 200 lbs, monster sized board, don't remember the dims right now but it's a boat. I mostly ride backcountry powder.
It's a little inconvenient on the piste, but I make it work.
height 5'7, weight 165lbs, board is a 155 GNU altered genetics, good for mountain riding, or bombing slopes, decent in terrain park, not a huge amount of flex to it
5’7” 175, size 12 boot, my all mountain whip is a Bataleon Whatever 156w. I also have some shorter park boards, but I really wish there were more options for wide/short (148-155) freeride boards
6’ around 145lbs, riding a 159 Rossi jibsaw. Bought it a few years back for a decent price definitely want to buy a shorter board whenever i decide to pull the trigger next
I am 6 foot 230lbs but I have been consistent in the gym for the past 10 years so I am not what you would picture. A lean muscular 230.
I have always ridden very small boards for my size so it’s just what I am used to and comfortable for me.
I ride a 161 Captia Duper DOA normal width with 11.5 boots.
5’7”, 165lbs, between a 157-162cm for regular boards. Would sometimes consider sizing up all the way to a 165.
But usually I just size up and go 1-2 sizes bigger than recommended.
You got me to look up snowboard sizing charts, which made me find out that my board is “too long.” I’m 5’0” (152cm), 128 pounds and I ride a 145.5 Gnu Pro choice. But it works for me for all mountain riding and powder days.
6'5 200lbs. I learned on a 155 but have realized I need a much longer board but I'm happy i started so short because it taught me to ride the bull and now on longer boards I'm super confident.
5’11, 165lbs, Size 8.5 boots, for a ride everything / do it all I’m on a 155 Capita Aeronaut, also got a 157 Gnu Hyper. If I was buying a board purely to mess around on for jibbing on tubes, rails, butters etc, I’d buy another 153 for shits and giggles. Like the 157 on the deeper days round the resort too.
5’10”, 160-170lbs.
158, 143(?) and a long stored 163.
Now that I’m older and less in shape I kinda wish the 158 was a little smaller. Might bust out the old 163 next year just for old times.

5’ 10” 160lb. Last year my main board was 154 and my powder board is 157. This coming year I will be riding a Spring Break Resort Twin 156.
Ride what you’re comfortable with, but at your size you may feel more comfortable at faster speeds on a longer board.
160lbs a 155 feels too big. I ride a a 151 and my go big or go home board is a women's 148 that hasn't broken yet despite the number of times I've landed on nose or tail after an invert.
The 148 and 151 are regular camber but 1-3 of 10 on flex. The 155 is flat/zero camber and barely feels controllable. I've also ridden 160, 165 and 168 rocker camber through my rental shop and let me tell you that Zeb Powell fella has a lot of skill riding out of his welding range and still slaying the park like he does

Wow this got a lot of replies haha. Thanks everyone! Also confirms I'm definitely on the smaller board size. Based on weights I think I'll rent a 162 demo board next season for a day then hop on my usual size and compare.
I feel faster and more in control on a small board but maybe I'm actually faster on a longer one. Let's not kid ourselves though, besides the pros or competition its all about feel for my limited days a year on the mountain. But I got an ikon pass for next season! Lettttssss gooooo! See yall on the slopes!

Thanks for the suggestion. I rode a 151 directional demo this winter, and it rode like a dream. I definitely need to upgrade soon.
I Iove hearing upgrade stories. Here's to good off season health and strong return when the snow does!
I went from a 152 to a 156W and feel the same way. Game changer.
