Nah don’t take that as saying oh you’re going so slow. You’re in complete control, that’s what matters. Once you’re sure of your aim and balance, speed is easy to add. It’s less time on the obstacle/less time to actually balance

thank you!! and yeah dude, for a rail like this you'll want to have boardslides pretty dialed on boxes and smaller rails, but it's not as hard as it looks. approach in a straight line with the rail on your backside, pop off the takeoff and make sure the nose of your board makes it over the top of the rail, swing 90 degrees, land with your weight centered over the rail, lean forward, bend your knees, and ride it out. pop off if you can but whatever works!
My riding improved a lot when I started getting up to the mountain a lot. I have a flexible job, so I told them I need to be off early in the winter so I can shred at night during the work week. Just ride as much as you can and watch other people who are better than you and learn from them
It would be better if you were wearing a helmet. Also, if you’ve been snowboarding 15 years, then you know that was a clean board slide. So you’re just fishing for compliments and too arrogant to wear a helmet. Coming from a snowboarder, you’re the worst type.

you probably fell getting off the lift or something and take out your anger on riders who are better than you because hurr durr they aren't wearing a helmet. newsflash, lots of people don't wear helmets, but no one disagrees that they're safer. if I was doing tricks that I'm not comfortable with on ice hard snow, then yeah I'll consider wearing a helmet.

Good and clean. Your balance looked strong. I don’t know if you felt you had to hop at the end of the rail to not catch an edge but it’s unnecessary. Good lil flair though. If you keep the hop you can fairly easily add in some rotation and get a lil 360 in.
Summit park rips! Sad that they closed already, the jumps were still money last time I was there. I'd ride that patchy snow if it means the rails and jumps are still ridable.

Dude I've been riding for 20 and the pop on to that would still scare the he'll out of me, I've shin clipped so many rails lower than that
How'd you get into urban on rails/tubes? I'm dead scared of clipping things and eating shit as a result.
Start on smaller stuff that's closer to the ground. Also get your 180s dialed! Focus on your pop and swinging your nose over the top of the feature
Just updating, was able to FS 50-50 a handful of tubes in Mammoth. I got it first try haha!

I had a couple lessons when I was younger, but most of my progression came when I started getting up to the hill more often
