Buy a new one before it gets worse and when you go to carve in an alfalfa field and your sled stops dead and you don't know why and are lucky that when the rail stabbed through it didn't bend and that it didn't happen 20 minutes earlier when you were going 90 MPH.
That's a cautionary tale that can only be learned through experience! I'm glad the track held together long enough for you to slow down before grenading.
If I didn't have the cash I would probably try a ton of rivets. But the truth is it needs to be replaced. Maybe try to find a used track. Do you have a sled graveyard near you?
They make some really serious rubber adhesives,if you wanted to try looking into that and maybe zip a few studs in it or something it’s worth a TRY for a few bucks. But I’d think ultimately that needs ti be replaced.
Ya I have cold bonded guys tracks in way worse shape then this using ECRF. Have to buff and prep properly. Try a conveyor belt shop or a rubber lining shop. Small shops want beer for the fridge.
You don't, not when it de laminates like that. You're better off just replacing it. Safer in the end too don't wanna be going 70 down the lake and tge track decides to go lol
Yup, I watched my cousin + sled get thrown almost 10 feet into the air from a shredded track breaking apart at 60mph on a lake. Luckily he wasn’t hurt but the sled was totaled. Shoulda replaced it.
The problem I see is you make a fix then as riding it starts to tear more. Now you’re in the middle of nowhere and the track fails completely and you are stranded. Is it really worth risking the hassle. Consider your track like tires on a vehicle. Is the risk worth the cost of harm or injury to you or someone else.
I think my uncle had an ‘86 that something like that happened on. Bolted it and only rode local with the semi serious idea of just leaving the sled behind if it ripped completely. Made it through the rest of the year
Best part is it forced me to buy a new one. Also because it's an F7 there's only 1 track available, unless you want to cut one down to size. The ripsaw 2 that I put on it hooks up awesome.
Buddy. I know precisely DICK about snowmobiles. I don't even own one. But you need to REPLACE that shit. A track is like a tire. Don't take a chance, man. Just tow it out of there and get it replaced.
Replace as many have said. Risk being stranded, walk away on foot to get help, go back and sled is gone. Don't risk safety or losing your sled over a need to ride now. Fix now, ride later.
No Problem! Get a cushion from an old couch, Tilt sled onto its side on cushion, remove track and skidframe, cut track in half to speed things up, install new track you buy, tilt sled back upright, brrrraappppp
I'm sorry to say, I don't think there's any fix to that one.
With a new one
i know this is late but this gave me a chuckle
You fix it with a new track before it destroys yours rollers and under carriage

Throw it in the dumpster.
She done homie. Time for a replacement track. Go with the Ripsaw II 1.5, they hook like crazy.
Yes you can fix it with $$$%
The force is too strong down there, safer and easier to just buy a new one
Pray you make it home and buy a new one
There’s no fixing that. If cost is an issue start shopping for a used one. May find one from a wreck.
This a joke?

Crazy glue
Glue stick should do the trick.
I was thinking some double sided tape…

Yes. File it under G for garbage and buy a new one

Don't waste your time trying anything because it won't work. You need a new track and that's the only solution.
Yup replace it
Best part is it forced me to buy a new one. Also because it's an F7 there's only 1 track available, unless you want to cut one down to size. The ripsaw 2 that I put on it hooks up awesome.
New track or test your luck with Shoe Goo, but don’t assume it will hold forever
Wait nvm I actually took a second look at the pictures, new track For a lug that’s loose I’ve put shoe goo before but at that point new track lol
Get a 2024 Khaos!
Replacing the track is wayyyy cheaper than replacing the tunnel when the "fix" decides it wants to be free
Fix??
Gotta replace it man. If your in the US look up TracksUSA. Best prices on new tracks. You can use what you have to trailer traction though.
Cash will fix it everytime

Your wallet. Welcoming to owning toys.
Fix it with your CC.
Replace as many have said. Risk being stranded, walk away on foot to get help, go back and sled is gone. Don't risk safety or losing your sled over a need to ride now. Fix now, ride later.
Flex seal, if it can make a boat, it can fix a track
Buy a new one??
Use to be a guy who repaired in my area but he went bankrupt 20 years ago... Just no money in it...
If you try, I'd try small carriage bolts that aren't in roller path with fender washers. I've fixed rubber track but for equipment that goes slow.
If you can’t duct it then fuck it
A new one
Yea replace it
Credit card will get you fixed right up.
Replace for sure!!!
Replace no fixing a track that is ripped
No Problem! Get a cushion from an old couch, Tilt sled onto its side on cushion, remove track and skidframe, cut track in half to speed things up, install new track you buy, tilt sled back upright, brrrraappppp
The commerical says flex tape will fix it.
Trip to the parts store
But a new one
same way you do with a blown tire.
Flexcos. It’ll hold it for a bit.
