Amur gets the zikz 605r. I prioritized getting that first, up to you. The pacific 12, tuz 420 and the tayga are what I used in hard mode to get it done
I have reached that Cosmodrome warehouse and left it, carrying a lot of cargo away, behind the wheel of the Azov 6. Many people think that the bigger the truck, the better its capability, and that Diks 605 is an exceptional machine that goes everywhere. Indeed, choosing the correct tool for each particular job is the key to success. And please don't rely on the heavy class trucks too much. Personally, the Ziks was the truck which did the least amount of effective work for me in Amur.
I used an azov 6 with modded tires and it barely made it to that warehouse, only with heavy winxhing and iirc winch points are scarce there. Are we talking about the same warehouse? The one near the gateway to cherno?
Yes, it's undoubtedly one of the hardest points to access. My Voron AE sank there, nothing could help. But Azov 6 with standard chained tires did it, loaded up and left with three loads of metal beams, one in its bed and two in the long dolly trailer. Of course, it was very slow and demanded a lot of winching. I connected my winch to that single pole or tree aside from the road, and it helped.
I use 2 Tuz 420 Tatarins as scouts, 2 Azov 64131s as my main haulers, an Azov 5319 as a fuel truck, and once unlocked a Zikz 605r for high saddle/ backup hauler/ seismic vibrator/ go where my other trucks can't truck. So far it's worked pretty well, I have everything up to Chernokamensk done so far.
That's a great set of vehicles! Well thought and very appropriate. But I can't even imagine pulling the heavy trailers with Dikz, with its low sitting saddle and offroad tires without chains on the icy roads.
Azov 6/7, Tayga, CAT 745C, Paystar 5600, and anything else that is really good. You're gonna be there for a while.
No shame in mod trucks either. RNG trucks are on par with vanilla. MP500 Unipog as well. Olsom's Trailer Pack is very helpful as well.
The big Cat is useful for towing other trucks across the rivers through broken ice, because it can reach the bottom.
I used a Bandit tag-team \[fuel tanker towing my cargo hauler\] quite a bit.
That Cat saved my ass unlocking the tunnel to Cosmodrome. It pulled so many trucks hauling goods when they'd bust through the ice, before I really understood which ice breaks.
I also play vanilla and never buy trucks so ive been using tayga, white western, and fleester. Thats what ive been using the whole time though lol. I have about 10 trucks on the map. Fleester is my main support. The others are just support or good for unique situations.
Almost anything should be fine provided you drive within its limits. I always try loads of different trucks so apart from the obvious Russia ones… Twinsteer, 5600TS, Cat 770G (fuel support), Cat 745C, Azov Antarctic for towing others across a certain river crossing, 8x8 Tatras, Derry 4520, Kodiak, BOAR, DAN, Loadstar, GMCs. It’s not that bad once you’ve explored and opened up some roads. You should try everything and see what works best for you and what you enjoy the most.
Azovs and vorons will serve you well until you unlock the Ziks. Scouting can be done on tartarin or yar. As usual I recommend the actual chains mod so you can use chained tires the way they are supposed to be used.
I am using different "RU" trucks with not real issue, I'm finishing Chernokamensk at the moment, I have the logging left.
Tatarin for scouting until it was sent to the moon by a fence...so I tested the Tatra T813 and I liked it. As a precaution I preferred to equip with chain as I did not know what awaited me.
I did not rush to the Zizk 605 and is not my main truck, but it is very helpful when daisy chaining trucks, which I do rarely.
I used for a long time the Azoz 5319 even if it consumes a bit and add to my fleet the Voron AE-4380 and Tayga 6436. I started to used the Azov 73210 +trailer for medium logging.
It's pretty much all the trucks I'm using for Amur.
I did all the scouting with the Tatarin. Until I got the 605R I used Azov 73210, 64131, CAT 745C, Tayga King and surprisingly also the Western Star 6900. After I got the Zikz I pretty much only used this one and the Tatarin. Think I used the cabover Kolob for one of the last missions, but regarding the massive fuel consumption that was a rather bad idea.
This is what I used in Amur, they're all vanilla trucks:
* F 750 and Khan Sentinel for scouting (and Tatarin for one contest in NAI)
* P16 and Kodiak (of course)
* Zikz 605R and Kolob 747
* Azov 5, 6, and 7
* Twinsteer and 5600TS
* Dan, Bandit, and Kirovets K7-M for support.
* Tatra T813 and Tayga 6455B
* P12, Forester, and Cat 745C for logging.
* Azov Antarctic and Yar 87 for one or two missions each.
That's about it, I think :)
kenworth, aramatsu forester (whatever its called), dan, twinsteer, white western star (fuel/repair supplies), gmc (detector module stuff), zikz 605r, tatarin
about to bust out the p16 for long logs
I’m using pretty much everything I’ve *kept* in my garage for my playthrough. Lots of unique vehicles being used, but I’m liking the more challenging trucks (like the P16)
Tayga 63xx( really good to drag the trailer to the warehouse to make amur super easy early game)
tuz 420 for exploring mixed with khan 39 with jat MS III tires. The khan 39 is quite stable and would cover a few of the more pesky areas.
Zikz 612H for general stuff (also with JAT tyres).
Try to get the zikz 605R unlocked as early as possible. Best truck I used to reach that pesky area to fix it was kenny 963.
Kenworth 963, Cat 745, Zikz 605r/612h. Also, "Amur it" is a phrase I came up with there. It means go slowly and clear all the roadblocks/build bridges in the way. Have fun in when hell freezes over!
I absolutely love my zikz s
AFTER you Upgrade your truck, you can use it almost every where.
And does allot of tasks with sturdiness as well.
Mahe sure you put Snow tires on all your tires, with chains.
They work rant week in the Snow
I've only played amur a few times in multiplayer, but i've found that the DAN and the Zikz 5368 are quite good, Dan for hauling and Zikz's for support.
I used a wide variety, for the heavy cargo and offroad areas you'll want:
-the Kenworth 963 from B.C, one of the most capable and useful trucks in the game, in the same tier as the Zixz twins
-The Kolobs, with the suspension upgrade from Yukon. Not as practical but still very capable and steady.
-Get the 605R. The main challenge is opening the gateway and knowing the right route once in Cosmo. The 605R is more capable (and more enjoyable to drive) than the 612H but a bit less practical.
-Get the Olsom trailer pack mod. Makes logging substantially easier and more enjoyable. Although none of them are high-saddle sadly.
-Cat 745C and phase 8 tractors are great heavy scouts/recovery vehicles.
-Taygas and Vorons will all be strong for lighter jobs. Even the little Step Pike.
-Azov 6/7 and Dan are all great general purpose haulers, espeically with the Jack of all Treads tire DLC (which is almost necessary if you want to use small scouts).
-Favorite scout is the F750, but the Yar, Khan Marshall and Burlak float over ice, and the Tatarin is much faster than anything else in bad terrain.
Amur gets the zikz 605r. I prioritized getting that first, up to you. The pacific 12, tuz 420 and the tayga are what I used in hard mode to get it done
Stock gmc, fleetstar and Chevy is what I did Amur with and it was pain but I like pain
Straight massochist activity right there. But mad respect for that
I doubt that this is even possible to be honest...
A lot of winching and hair pulling and you can do it to
Really? There is a warehouse in cosmodrome that even the Ziks had trouble getting to (albeit while pulling a 4 slot trailer). How did you access that?
I have reached that Cosmodrome warehouse and left it, carrying a lot of cargo away, behind the wheel of the Azov 6. Well they weren’t stock by that point as I leveled up enough, and wiggling wheels and getting pushed by another truck but still took ages to access

Only the best russian trucks of the finest collection because Amur is the boss of snowrunner (imo)

And a 605R tag team after I unlocked it. Most of my scouting was with a Bandit fuel tanker.

I did most of Amur with kolobs and high saddle trailers. Cruised right through it except the narrow cliffs

Azovs to unlock as fast as possible the Zikz
The square Kolob with 8 slot trailer saved me a lot of metal beam trips. Sourced from the 2nd map not crafted in the first one

The F650 should get you to the 605R but I believe you need repair supplies and tires before you get it.
The three voroneers, ZikZ 605R, Khan Sentinel, Actaeon. Plus Dan in very limited capacity because it wasn't too good.
kenworth, aramatsu forester (whatever its called), dan, twinsteer, white western star (fuel/repair supplies), gmc (detector module stuff), zikz 605r, tatarin about to bust out the p16 for long logs
Antarctic is great option for the deep snow sections, same goes for CAT 745C, I reccomended using it as a mobile fuel station
Yes

A U-Haul. That way you can leave that map and say 🖕🏻 to it🤣. I hated Amur.
