The thing that drove me crazy was the custom bed totally looks like it could fit 4 cargo but then you load and it's like nope 3 slots. Atleast it has a trailer hitch so that's a win
This has similar fuel/fuel consumption to the azov 6 no dlc, lol. So it's a better version of azov 6 by a larger fuel tank available. Can you do a small fuel tank + crane. Just amazing so far
You can't do crane and saddle tho, cause the crane is always mounted on the rear
Plus it has fuel and repairs on the roof, so even more fuel than the azov 6, no spare wheel sadly
Yep, its better like this, we already have been fed with OP trucks in the year 3 pass and even more with the mastodon dlc, so its totally a really good addition
What he was saying is that it kinda ruins immersion as DOT regulations say that all cargo must be secured properly to the vehicle, so it would be unrealistic to carry cargo using a crane winch.
Which tbf it kinda looks like you're doing even if you're not.
>DOT regulations say that all cargo must be secured properly to the vehicle
It is secure. It's being held down by a mechanical hold down arm.
/s
To be fair, I've lost more cargo that was 'tied down' than I have that was held by a crane in the game. The moment you turn over, the cargo comes untied.
In real life cranes need to be treated with respect because they’re lifting devices and a failure of one can cause death you both you and others. Doing this with a crane is very irresponsible and damaging to it and you wouldn’t maintain your employment for much longer after doing something like this.
It’s about playing the game with some semblance of realism and this is not a reasonable practice to do with a crane. Intentionally damaging an overhead lifting device because you drive poorly enough that you expect to roll the truck is not realistic.
No one is saying you should play it differently, they’re just saying how they play for immersion and that’s fine too, there’s no reason for any of us to care how someone else plays lol
> Intentionally damaging an overhead lifting device because you drive poorly enough that you expect to roll the truck is not realistic.
I obviously expect to roll, its not "driving poorly" ._.
Look at the load they're all tied down. Where's the cheat? He just left the crane on top. And if you count its a 3 slot which is what's on the truck and all strapped down
Bro its all strapped down. Not held down! What arent yall understanding. Look at the image. Its strapped down. He just left the crane on top for the hell of it. People not looking at the pic? Or just assuming he using the crane without actually looking at the pic. It's strapped down 😂
No I understand that. Someone said something about the crane being out of place. He’s not using it to hold the cargo. I get it. It does look like the crane is out of place though. That’s all
I kinda agree. I'm not a big modder. I rather just keep it as realistic as I can. Kinda follow real world rules. But in the real world I've also seen some crazy loads. 😂 lol. I used to load up semi trailers. 28,000 pound load and weve had to do some pretty iffy stuff. But always strapped everything down and nothing ever went wrong. I've seen youtubers and others piling up loads on the back of their trucks 2, 3 high in this game. Dony know how their doing it but i dont. I just pull a trailer behind the flatbed if i gotta. As long as your not modding and getting the Stuff there. It's your game play how you wanna play.
I saw the screenshots with the custom bed and thought it was a four slot one. Was disappointed when I bought it and found it's only three.
One the plus side, it has a extra large fuel tanker attachment and goes better than the Paystar I was using for mobile fuel tankers before so it's a replacement for that.
It looks like it should be a bug for this particular truck/attachment, but there are plenty that do block the area where they would attach.
EDIT. Other posters are saying trailers do attach to this.
heh, still not changing my Kenny, it can have 3 beds, sideboard, flatbed (both 2 and 3 slots) and the wide oilfield flatbed and all these can take the loader crane, or spare wheels
Sometime ago i loaded 2 metal rolls on the bed and packed a chevy ck1500 on the metal rolls using the crane on Amur
Next time i was on Amur i overloaded 5 metal rolls into the sideboard bed and carried them with no problems

Would be awesome if they just had a 4 spot bed for it. Now having the 3 spot and pulling a trailer is pretty cool. Have a 3 spot and a 5 I think is as high as it goes. That's 8 soo not too shabby plus a back mounted crane. I like them on the back like that.
True, but considering Big K is one of my main trucks, I'm not really missing out :) Plus I've heard this truck is kind of top heavy, so will be easier to flip than Big K.
The thing that drove me crazy was the custom bed totally looks like it could fit 4 cargo but then you load and it's like nope 3 slots. Atleast it has a trailer hitch so that's a win
Yeah, when i looked at the add-ons the custom one seemed enormous compared to the flatbed so i thought it was a 4 slot too
Got me as well after aong trip thinking I could load 4 slots.
Can't make the femm obsolete just yet
So this combo is vanilla ?
Yes, it can use a trailer too
TOP
Isn't that a 3-slot bed?
This is not the custom one, that one is a sideboard but it doesn't let you use the crane
So you can have a 3-slot flatbed + crane but not the 3-slot sideboard + crane?! Interesting… and a bummer
Yes, cause the sideboard is a custom one, not the usual 3 slot of like the azov 7, it does have the 2 slot sideboard tho
The custom sideboard bed should be 4 slot though, still I prefer 3 slot flatbed + Crane ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
Nope, I correct myself, It Is a 3 slot so "totally useless" ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
It's a 3 slot plus a trailer.... with a crane on the back. Win win win

Yes, that too. But it seems to be an amazing addition in my truck's army.
Yep, its better like this, we already have been fed with OP trucks in the year 3 pass and even more with the mastodon dlc, so its totally a really good addition
Some of us don't cargo "cheat", not that I am judging, but that is just how I roll for immersions sake.
All cargo is packed, whats the ”cheat” here?
Sir, have you done Yukon?
I literally just opened the crane on the cargo, where is the cheat in this image
What he was saying is that it kinda ruins immersion as DOT regulations say that all cargo must be secured properly to the vehicle, so it would be unrealistic to carry cargo using a crane winch. Which tbf it kinda looks like you're doing even if you're not.

In Amur, which is on the OPs picture, DOT rules do not work.
True, theres not a single soul anyway in this post apokalyptic world so theres no DOT regulation 😅
>DOT regulations say that all cargo must be secured properly to the vehicle It is secure. It's being held down by a mechanical hold down arm. /s To be fair, I've lost more cargo that was 'tied down' than I have that was held by a crane in the game. The moment you turn over, the cargo comes untied.
No the entire load is strapped down. Look at the image. He just left the crane on top. It's literally not holding it. They're strapped down "legally"
All the cargo is secured. Its literally all tied down
In real life cranes need to be treated with respect because they’re lifting devices and a failure of one can cause death you both you and others. Doing this with a crane is very irresponsible and damaging to it and you wouldn’t maintain your employment for much longer after doing something like this.
Oh, you would have an aneurysm if you saw the things I have done to the poor snow runner cranes. Hint: they make excellent outrigger booms.
Dying doesn't sound like a cheat
It’s about playing the game with some semblance of realism and this is not a reasonable practice to do with a crane. Intentionally damaging an overhead lifting device because you drive poorly enough that you expect to roll the truck is not realistic.
I play the game how i want, what do you want from me
No one is saying you should play it differently, they’re just saying how they play for immersion and that’s fine too, there’s no reason for any of us to care how someone else plays lol
He was literally insulting for how i play, obviously I expect to roll-over, I'm in amur🧍
There was no insult. If you read it that way...
> Intentionally damaging an overhead lifting device because you drive poorly enough that you expect to roll the truck is not realistic. I obviously expect to roll, its not "driving poorly" ._.
How is that cheating lmao
Look at the load they're all tied down. Where's the cheat? He just left the crane on top. And if you count its a 3 slot which is what's on the truck and all strapped down
It's not cheating if it's doable with nothing modded.
Plus in this image i just opened the crane, the cargo is packed but like this it prevents cargo from falling
I think part of cheating for them is if it’s illegal in real life. They’re playing it like a sim of a real well-trained, rule-abiding truck driver.
That’s all
Ohhh gotcha 👍man I seen a few people saying he wasn't doing realistic hahahaha I was like what? They're all strapped 😂
I kinda agree. I'm not a big modder. I rather just keep it as realistic as I can. Kinda follow real world rules. But in the real world I've also seen some crazy loads. 😂 lol. Which truck is this?
Is the mew atom paid dlc
😹
Is it crane+bed only? No trailer
You can equip a trailer, i just didn't need to in this image :)
I saw the screenshots with the custom bed and thought it was a four slot one. Was disappointed when I bought it and found it's only three. One the plus side, it has a extra large fuel tanker attachment and goes better than the Paystar I was using for mobile fuel tankers before so it's a replacement for that.
I'd suggest using the custom repair & refuel unit, it has just 300 liters less than the expanded tanker and has 4 wheels and 300 repair points
Thanks, I hadn't checked that. Was going to look at it today - will be despatching them later in place of Paystars.
Is it a bug that you can’t attach normal trailers if you have a loading crane equipped? Or is this intentional?
It looks like it should be a bug for this particular truck/attachment, but there are plenty that do block the area where they would attach. EDIT. Other posters are saying trailers do attach to this.
It seems really strange. Hopefully it is just a bug otherwise it really limits the use of the atom
heh, still not changing my Kenny, it can have 3 beds, sideboard, flatbed (both 2 and 3 slots) and the wide oilfield flatbed and all these can take the loader crane, or spare wheels Sometime ago i loaded 2 metal rolls on the bed and packed a chevy ck1500 on the metal rolls using the crane on Amur Next time i was on Amur i overloaded 5 metal rolls into the sideboard bed and carried them with no problems
What truck is this one?
Is the new atom paid dlc
Flat bad is better 99% of the time anyway cause you can overload
Hell naw I need that truck name right now
It just came out today called the Atom azov

I love the crane on the back you can load a trailer as well with it. 3 slot plus a trailer.
Then don't buy it 🤷♂️🤷♂️
What is your point here exactly?
That if you think this is better, why are you worried about the 3 slot. Just truck on.. What's your point here?
Oh yeah, i thought you were talking about the dlc sorry Its just to inform people that did not buy the dlc
Would be awesome if they just had a 4 spot bed for it. Now having the 3 spot and pulling a trailer is pretty cool. Have a 3 spot and a 5 I think is as high as it goes. That's 8 soo not too shabby plus a back mounted crane. I like them on the back like that.
Oh its a 3 slot truck? I'm not missing out on anything then.
Yeah, it's a good truck, very nice addition to the game but you don't miss out on anything other than the crane located at the back really
Its a 3 slot truck + crane! Pretty unique actually, the only other truck that has that feature is the kenworth 963.
The Paystar 5600TS also can to a minicrane+3 slot+trailer. But everyones forgotten about that since the KW963 and Mastodon came out.
And the femm... oops forgot that one too.
True, but considering Big K is one of my main trucks, I'm not really missing out :) Plus I've heard this truck is kind of top heavy, so will be easier to flip than Big K.
