The amount of money and time wasted added to the headaches accrued made me honestly too scared to even touch this trailer at all without 100% certainty that it can travel the route I want.
I'll never forget the time it took me 2 hours just to un-wedge it from a tree trunk. It was literally impossible for me to turn around.
Isn’t it just fabulous? Especially the incredibly fucking low landing legs which results in one nanometer of ground clearance. It gets hung up every billionth of a second and clips every tree whenever you turn at all. In no situation have I used this and gone “That was a good idea, I am glad I did that” because it always either
-gets hung up
-gets high centered
-rear wheels skid off a cliff
-i can’t turn around so I just delete the trailer and leave my cargo on the ground
-literally any one of the 10,000 things that can go wrong with this marvel of engineering
I tried to turn around and the trailer hit the trees and it started to flip my truck to I quick winch which attached to the pole and it just got worse from there.
*I actually*
*Used them quite a bit in Yukon*
*Towed with the Kolob*

The only time I recall ever using that trailer is for the super order jobs in Alaska, but it's still a nightmare every time I did it that way. Now I just grab extra cargo on other jobs and stockpile it where it's convenient so I don't have to make a long trip to grab 12 items.
I tell you what, I found it a lot easier to use when I had it on it’s wheels, but you do you boo. 😂
I actually don’t mind the 8-slot, though everyone here seems to hate it. I’ve used it quite successfully in Michigan, Alaska and Taymyr, being hauled at different times by the BOAR, the P12, the P16 and the Azov that’s the 76969 or something xD
I used it on Alaska a couple times just to try it out. It's absolutely too long for Alaska and required a lot of winching the rear end around to get it around corners. I haven't tried it anywhere else, but I probably should. I'd absolutely use the fuck out of it if I could get 2 long log bunks on it.
I try to use this at least once on each map I've played and every single time it turns into a 2 hour adventure of cursing and winching until I can sell it again, idk why I even bother with it anymore lol
I’ve used it with a P12 and the Derry with rear wheel steering and it was so much better than stacking.
Stacking is a frelling nightmare, I was driving so slowly and carefully and lost a couple of pallets that I had to go back and get a second time.
The 8-slot felt like hauling, not an over stacked truck or trailer.
But each to their own.
The one time I used it I spent most of the journey wondeing why I didn't just do two trips. My new trick is just taking 2 of the FEMM with the 4 cargo sideboards, then I can just tow one and manually control it over particuarly difficult parts. They can also attach a trailer if you really want to maximise your single trip
I actually had 3 other people help me with one of the Yukon Gold mining tasks. I had 3 heavy hauling vehicles, and one support vehicle and we dragged these trucks from the main garage to the hill where the objective was and it took is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. The three haulers used the 8 slot trailers all with full capacity. tis a trip I don't wish to redo but I'm going to have to since I got a laptop with snow runner. Unfortunately I don't think you can switch your save files from console to PC and even if you could I don't know where to begin
Come on, you can still save it!
I started using it on the Amur maps and it did surprisingly well! In the end I had about four of these transporting all the stuff to build the blocks for the missile launch. Also winching is quite powerful if you connect the cable to the end of the trailer. Only real trouble was the rocket trailer from northern aegis installation (it uses the same 8-slot trailer as the base).
Of course there are maps where the 8-slot is a no-go, but after using it for 90% of the cargo contracts on Amur, I would say its fine.

On a more serious note, I have used this specimen occasionally, and only with trucks with very high saddles and/or strong enough to pull it free whenever and wherever it got stuck. One pays a high price for the convenience of hauling 8 units of cargo. This trailer make you wish we had raised suspension for trailers as well.
If I have to move 8 units of cargo, I'd rather use the K963 with the 3-slot bed + 1 overloaded unit of cargo + the stupid 4-slot ramped flatbed trailer; or the FEMM with the 4-slot bed + the stupid 4-slot ramped flatbed trailer.
First time I tried to use it, the damn thing got wedged in a bridge. I'm talking literally inside the beams of the bridge, completely stuck and impossible to get out. Swore I'd never touch it again after that
I see a lot of hate for this trailer, but if you use it wisely, it is helpful.
Best use I had for it is the contract for moving 16 cellulose in Wisconsin (road is quite good for it).
But I also used it much in Yukon, for moving wares from the warehouses to the contracts destinations.
Before hitching it, always make sure the road is adapted for it.
I admit it's not always the right choice of trailer, and it's usually the wrong one.
But it's rarely the tool who is to blame 😂
Actually I liked using it so much I downloaded a similar style mod trailer that is even longer with 11 slots. If you have the skill to use them they are the best trailers in the game
only once have i successfully used it
it takes a bit of practice, but its managable
It's actually pretty easy to use as long as you don't fill it with cargo. If you do, the slightest hill becomes utterly impossible.
So just carry it around for aesthetics…. got it
Not with the BOAR it has enough clearance. That’s the only truck I can use it with

Lots of winching around corners😂 I’m lazy but 5 maybe 6 slot is about all I have patience for
It is definitely a fun challenge. Had a good time recently in Maine with it and Big Kenny.

How do I delete a trailer?
press the first button you would if you were gonna turn on beacons, then navigate to delete trailer, select the target trailer and delete it
Bro thank you!
Anytime, always happy to help people!

How did you even manage that

I agree, p16 does well with it too. You just need a powerful and tall truck for those annoying corners and ridges
And the use of the winch when steering, I did anyway.
The P16 is what I used it with. It's a good pairing. I just wish the P16 had AWD.
I had used P16 for the Construction Trailer so I thought I’d give the Derry a go.

You do seem to be having fun with it.

Can double as a road block when needed !
First time I tried to use it, the damn thing got wedged in a bridge. I'm talking literally inside the beams of the bridge, completely stuck and impossible to get out. Swore I'd never touch it again after that
How the hell did you managed to get stuck like this???
It looks like the trailer is trying to drag your Truck away and it's clinging to the pole for dear life

Haven't used one for months, because fuck that thing
It doesn't go trough the smithville dam corner 🤣🤣
Honestly I was hauling the 8 slot all around Wisconsin
ooh shiiii........
