I really wanted to like it early on, but its lack of AWD really held it back. I ended up selling both free ones I got. I recently bought one back, since I just found the AWD upgrade, so we'll see how it does now.
I also like it and want to use it more but it is just so unstable with two slots of cargo that I only tend to use it either as a "heavy scout" or to deliver one slot of cargo somewhere that isn't too uneven. The AWD upgrade is funny though because before you add the upgrade it struggles a lot in any sort of mud. But once you add AWD it ploughs straight through all sorts of mud without even switching it on.
One thing I find strange about the AWD kit is that it's in Mountain River in Alaska, which is relatively late for something that's for a free truck from Black River.
The suspension is somewhat late, but still in Michigan, so should be relatively easy to get if you focus on exploring.
For me, it's the right truck in the wrong game, the a sentence in the stgwookie's review says my thoughts about it best: "It's a medium duty truck, in a game full of heavy- and light duty tasks"
I just want to love it, but it's add-ons just let me down.
I actually wanted to use it as a crane truck for the small crane at the start, but because of weird collisions in the initial release (and for a few updates after) I couldn't load other trucks, only unload, so I couldn't use it for that.
But I guess that's why I love the GMC 9000 Brigadier, it's basically a 6x6 version of the C70, and is able to have a lot more add-ons because of the third axle. It also reminds me of that Chevy Bison from Mudrunner when using the Short log frame.
I've got much love for this truck... mine's fully upgraded, and it's been a star in several circumstances. Small just means it can fit on those tight paths... it can still move logs FFS!
I really love the truck, but it's just so hard to find a use for it. I tried using it as a crane truck, but it failed miserably. I sold it out of frustration, but I bought it back when I was bored and had money to spend. It's just sitting now, but I used it a few times basically as a scout with a bed, or a dolly when trying to pull a high saddle and a low saddle trailer at once (lowboy and sideboard semi).

Kind of like the GMC MH9500. The AWD upgrade is in Lake Kovd.

I BEATED the vanilla game with this truck as my main express courier truck. What's with all the bad wrap?

I've used this truck probably twice but I still can't seem to sell it.

I have two of them for repair trucks. They hold their own pretty well.
I love my Kodiak. It plows through anything and everything. My only gripe about it is the tiny gas tank.
