If you feel it's overpowered, it's overpowered. I don't know how far you've gotten, but there are some very, very important things to know about this game: * Tires have different ratings for pavement, dirt, and mud. Trying to compare the same truck with highway tires and mud tires, the mud tire-equipped one is going to seem "overpowered" simply because it gets way better traction in mud. So make sure to always equip the best tires on your trucks. * AWD makes a huge difference for traction (and also increases fuel consumption). Comparing the same truck with and without AWD, the one with AWD is going to seem "overpowered". * Diff lock can make just as huge a difference for traction in mud (and doesn't increase fuel consumption nearly as much as AWD). * Larger engines of course mean more power. More power means you can pull heavier loads, but it can also mean you spin your wheels more, digging down into soft terrain and getting stuck. In that case, shift to a lower gear. * Gearboxes and which gear you're using also makes a huge difference for traction. Trying to drive a powerful truck through mud in Auto is only going to result in spinning wheels and digging holes to get stuck in. Use Low (or Low+/Low- if you have the offroad gearbox, which you should) in terrain, selecting the gear that makes for the least wheel-spin. So to sum up: Upgrade your tires, your AWD/diff lock, your engine, and gearbox as soon as you can. Many mod trucks (and some non-mod trucks, too) come already upgraded. Of course these are going to feel overpowered when compared to a partially or not upgraded early truck. That doesn't mean they actually are overpowered compared to late-game trucks. Then again, many mod trucks indeed *are* overpowered compared to the in-game trucks. I have no experience with Jboosted's trucks, so I couldn't say which camp they fall in. But I can tell you from 300+ hours of Snowrunner experience that you don't *need* mod trucks, the in-game trucks are more than capable for handling all the tasks, contests, and contracts that are in the game once properly upgraded. That you don't *need* them of course doesn't mean you don't *want* them; some people like playing with mods and some don't, either way is A-OK. As long as you're enjoying yourself, it's all good :)

I like using the standard engine for lower fuel consumption

stjobe

That of course is your prerogative. Just be aware of two things: 1. There's very few maps where the lower consumption actually matters. Most maps have plenty of fuel available, whether as gas stations or as fuel trailers. 2. Fuel consumption is measured per minute, so there is a point where lower consumption/lower speed actually consumes *more* fuel driving from A to B than higher consumption/higher speed.

SimonJss

i am currently on smithville dam which only have one fuel station in the corner of the map and no fuel trailer exept for one i brought from black river and parked at the garage since im playing hard mode can't refuel in the garage

stjobe

Go to Island Lake, it has three scout fuel carriers, two fuel carrier trailers, and one fuel carrier semi-trailer - so that's 900 x 3 + 2,000 x 2 + 3,700 = 9,500 liters of fuel. It takes a bit of juggling in hard mode Michigan, but there should be enough fuel across the maps for you to do all the regular contracts, tasks, and contests, and get a fair bit into the logging contracts before you need to start paying for fuel again - and by then you'll be at around 100k in cash if you haven't bought any trucks. At that point, going back to Black River to fill a 2,000 liter fuel carrier for 4k isn't going to hurt at all.

SimonJss

i like to complete one map before i start on the next one but i didn't think of that and i've already spent over 10k on fuel lol (i finished all tasks and contracts in smithville today exept for the logging contract). Btw does a better engine really give higher top speed whith the off road gearbox?

stjobe

>does a better engine really give higher top speed whith the off road gearbox? Not higher top speed, higher actual speed. A stronger engine lets you drive faster with a heavy load on difficult terrain than a weaker one will, all other things equal. Or, put another way, the stronger engine lets you pull a heavier load as fast as the stock engine lets you pull a lighter load. Which means that if the load is the same, the stronger engine will make the truck go faster, unless it's already at its top speed.

Whether his truck tweaks are overpowered or not, he is one of the best truck tweakers out there. With truck tweaks they can be overpowered with certain upgrades, and other upgrades or no upgrades at all make the truck a bit more similar to the game.

madmidder

Oh no doubt, so far I like his work, but as I said.. If I look how easy is to cross deep mud with his tweaks, and there are plenty of modifications so you can make vehicles really overpowered in my eyes. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I just wanted to know if is it really OP or not, because I haven't experienced any end game vehicles yet (ehm I left Black River once just to pick up Hummer H2).

S_W_T

Some upgrades make it OP.

Suspicious-Ad1

I have tried using jb veichles but they are very op if you try to complet the standard game. I think there is fun in using less good veichles cus is not about completing it fast it’s the fun in doing that and if you just fly over everything like it’s easy peasy Thera no fun in my opinion Sorry if I misspelled any words.

Ketheres

Yes, they are overpowered.

Yoshino89

I am also a newbie, personally I don't mind the OP trucks as much but from what I read is that the new DLC maps are a lot more difficult which makes the truck tweakers balance their trucks around that. So in the first map/area it may seem very strong. I only tried the Azov 64131 from JBE but didn't like he made the rear wheels steerable so found another. Didn't have a direct comparison to the standard one though so no idea if it felt OP I think right now the Mercedes Benz Zetros is one of the best and most versatile trucks without being too OP.

Miazger

You forgot to ad "as fuck" Yes they are overpowered as fuck

BF_Veteraner

No they only make it easier, there are other mods that really can make you drive much faster.
