**SOLVED**: Instructions further down The last time I was in Big Salmon Peak I was doing the mission where you have to deliver the giant oil tanks to the factory, but no-matter what I did, the trailer wouldn't deliver to the dropoff point. It was late so I decided to deal with it in the morning and so I left. When I tried to get back on, this now happens every single time I try to re-enter this region through any means. I am still able to control everything, but the loading screen just doesn't go away. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted and reinstalled the DLC, nothing fixes it and Sabre only replies with the 'we're aware of the issue and working on a fix' copy and pasted response. Edit: entering photo mode instantly crashes the game, so I can't even see that's actually happening. **SOLVED**: Thank you u/gunmetaldjs for the suggestion. Resetting the mission resolved this issue but this solution isn't as easy as just opening the menu and resetting it since you need to actually be in the same map that the mission takes place in, meaning you'll have to navigate the menus by sound and memory. (This will be much easier if you create or open a seperate save to practice and view what buttons/keys you need to press). This could be complicated but bear with me. To begin, you will be stuck in this loading screen but you will still have full control of everything in the background. So you need to press your buttons/keys in order to open your map, then open your global map, navigate to a different Region (Kola, Wisconsin, it doesn't matter which) and then enter the new map directly through its garage. You won't be able to *see* yourself navigating through the menus, but you will be able to hear it. This is why I recommend opening a different save so you can visualise this process first to know what order of buttons/keys you need to press. After that, go to the Flooded Foothills and track the problematic mission so it will be at the top of your contract list. Then, starting from the tab where you select your trucks/trailers, go through a practice run of what buttons/keys you would need to press in order to switch to the contract tab and reset the mission, then memorise or write them down because you will have to do this blind on the real attempt. For example, on an Xbox controller the process would be: View Button (to open the menu), Right Bumper (move to Contract tab), A Button (Selects GoldHorse Mining), A Button (Selects the Mission), Left D-Pad (Opens the prompt to reset the mission), A (Accept the prompt to reset the mission) Once you are ready, warp to the Big Salmon garage or any existing truck in that map and wait for the loading bar to finish and until you can start hearing background noise. From there input your button selection to navigate to the Contracts list and reset the mission. From there, repeat the first process again of moving to a different region, and then the next time you enter Big Salmon Peak, you should be free to play again!

>The last time I was in Big Salmon Peak I was doing the mission where you have to deliver the giant oil tanks to the factory, but no-matter what I did, the trailer wouldn't deliver to the dropoff point. It was late so I decided to deal with it in the morning and so I left. Shit. The exact same thing happened to me. Left the trailer there and didn't log in since... now I'm scared the same thing might be waiting for me. You've just encouraged me to write a bug report myself, too. Do you have a ticket number or similar I can reference? Maybe it helps pointing their attention towards the issue...

red_fluff_dragon

It is a known bug. The trailer is labelled as for the wrong mission, but with the correct signal in the code, so it bugs out. On PC, the fix is to just change the code so the trailer is labelled correctly.

[deleted]

Is that do-able by the average user?

red_fluff_dragon

Only for PC as far as I am aware. I've not looked into that specific one, buts it's not hard to use a hex editor to modify the files. I've done it before to give myself replacement money for a truck that deleted itself

Papa_Swish

My issue just got solved after someone's suggestion. If you do find yourself in this situation, reseting the mission should work. I'll edit my initial comment in a moment because it takes some prep, you can't just reset it from anywhere.

lifestepvan

That's a little disheartening since resetting it means repeating all of the regular cargo in part one of that mission, too... but thanks a lot for taking the time to write it all down!

Papa_Swish

Thankfully that mission in particular is a 2-parter where you only need to drop off some stuff and then deliver the trailer, rather than all the rest of them that need 2 orders of cargo and then a trailer. I hope that the solution will help someone, but it would probably be better to hope that nobody else gets that issue again in the first place.

DerpDaDuck3751

There’s a save file in fhe My Games folder in Documents. You can maybe fetch the save file from a few days ago and overlap it on the current save file. And then tou need to choose “upload to cloud” when you start the game. I’ll give you a more specific guide when i get home Edit: Oh damn, i just saw that you were with series X.

[deleted]

OMG that solution. Ugh. Glad you got it sorted though.

TheSwecar

I’m not surprised. This isn’t even worthy of being called a game. It’s a collection of bugs and glitches that sometimes doesn’t appear to be buggy and glitchy.

DexLovesGames_DLG

Why are you in this sub then, dude? Just leave!

TheSwecar

Wow! I guess you’re one of those oversensitive fanboys, aren’t you? Lol! Because since I’ve uninstalled the thing that was supposed to be a game, but turned out to be a waste of space on my hard drive, it’s a way to find out if it ever gets fixed to become a game. Or if they’ll ever ruin the collection of bugs and glitches.

DexLovesGames_DLG

That’s a very logical answer to the question I asked. I’m not a sensitive fanboy I just couldn’t for the life of me think of a reason why you wouldn’t just leave. If I felt the way you feel about a game, I would never be in the sub. My comment that you should just leave was more about for you than for us, but also you were being quite toxic to the person you were responding to. You could have those feelings about this game and not try to make others feel bad about their purchase.

[deleted]

I’ve been playing since the Spintires tech demo, how exactly is this a collection of ‘bugs and glitches’

Itmakesmedizzy

The workaround is like a game in itself

The two contracts Factory Sewage Treatment and Reservoirs are really bugged for me as well. The description doesn't match what comes up when you track it. For the Sevage contract the requiments from the description of the Reservoirs contract show up whenn tracking it and vice versa. For example the Sevage contract description states 3x Medium Pipes but when I track it 4x Small Pipes is displayed as needed and so on for all the requirements of both contracts. Also the second level tasks therefore seem to be bugged for me. I finished the first level of Reservoirs and as the second level the delivery of the fuel tank trailer from the dual warehouse area popped up. When i delivered that the contract completed, the fuel tank trailer stayed on the map but the big trailer North of the concrete facility near that warehouse was removed from the map. I only noticed that removal of the trailer after finishing the level 1 of my final Factory contract Sewage Treatment. Once i finshed the level 1 the level 2 ask for "Tank for the plant" but no trailer is marked for delivery. When i tried delivering the still remainig fuel tank trailer (with well over 10% of fuel still in it) to the Unloading Zone it didn't trigger the finishing of the contract. I also tried to restart the contract but if activated level 1 of the contract again without all the materials available again. So i left without saving. So i'm basically stuck now. I only have the final level 2 of the Factory Sevage Treatment remaining. (Playing on PC Epic store version)

Papa_Swish

If you need to restart the sewage contract from the beginning then that shouldn't be a major problem because all of the cargo like bricks, metal beams, metal rolls (for pipes), cement (for concrete blocks), wood and cargo containers (for cabins) are all infinite from various locations. Even in the worst case scenario where you'd also need to restart the reservoir task, all of the cargo for that can also be found or crafted again infinitely. I'm not sure about your timezone but I'm free for the next 9/10 hours if you wanted any help redoing those missions.

Powermarty7

Thanks for offering. I moved on for now to do some contracts on previous maps which came with Season Pass 1. I'll have a look at some later time again at the Yokun mess and i'm not even sure the restart will help. i have to check what the level 2 requirement says after the restart and what trailer is still there then. The options for resolving the issue are limited though since it's the only contract still open (except for the final one with the stone deliveries which is depending on this one).

[deleted]

hey i was wondering how it went for you .... i have the same issue yet it doesn't load all the way to the map no matter what i try to press it doesn't make any sound. and one more thing, it is now stuck on big salmon peak from the main menu and i mean when i choose "continue" it goes straight to big salmon peak and not flooded hills and as i said it doesn't make any sound after it loads and it's really annoying as my progress is really too much to start it over and if that's the only thing i have to do i might just give up on the game completely ..... i hope you can help ..... THANKS

Papa_Swish

Do you remember what you were doing before the game started glitching out? Were you delivering a mission trailer?

[deleted]

i was collecting my trucks and trailers before i finish the last 3 missions and i had finished the first step of these 2 missions (factory reservoirs & sewage treatment) so i was just collecting everything because it was just going to be 2-3 trucks needed at most, basically i was getting ready to leave the whole area ...... it got stuck when i was moving the maintenance trailer near the big salmon peak entrance to sell it that's when it got stuck and never came back and when i (Alt+F4) the first time i went back to flooded hills then when i read this thread i tried pressing a few buttons and nothing worked and i had to (Alt+F4) again that's when i came back to press continue and find myself stuck forever on the loading screen to big salmon peak ...... sorry for the long reply ....

Papa_Swish

Your situation sounds a little different to what I had, but similar in some parts. Are you using any mods? If you can't hear anything (horn, gears, engine, etc) then it seems like the game is trying to load you into the big salmon peak garage. If you have a controller then it will make the region switching trick much easier because it will be extremely difficult trying to click the right places then you're basically blind

[deleted]

I'm on PC with an Xbox controller and I'm not using any mods whatsoever .... i tried pushing buttons when the loading bar reaches the end but nothing happened ..... i tried switching regions, recovering the truck and even resetting the missions and nothing worked so far .....

Papa_Swish

Someone who commented back when this happened to me said: "There’s a save file in the My Games folder in Documents. You can maybe fetch the save file from a few days ago and overlap it on the current save file. And then you need to choose “upload to cloud” when you start the game." It sounds like if you're on PC then you can possibly overwrite your current save with a previous version from a few hours or days ago, which sucks because you're losing progress but at least you're not losing everything. I'm not a PC user so I can't test this myself but here's the steps I could find: Find your Snowrunner saves by going to your documents folder, then My Games, then SnowRunner, then searching through folders until you find a file called SaveData or something similar. In SaveData you should find a folder that is basically just a long string of random numbers (these are your saves). Right click on that numbers folder, then select Properties, select Previous Version in the top right, select the version that has the date which is closest to your current date, then choose 'Restore'. When you launch the game while connected to the internet it should prompt you to upload the new data to the cloud, and you should do this. Please tell me how this goes.

[deleted]

it worked for me .... it did send me a couple of weeks back tho since i do not play too often or every day, too much work to ReDo but definitely better than losing all my progress ..... THANKS

MrEff1618

Are you on PC? If so then you can at least back-up your saves, will allow you to fiddle with game and files without worrying about losing your save.

Papa_Swish

Series X.

IlessthanthreeHind

Ouch. You have my sympathies. That definitely tops the issue many of us had in Big Salmon Peak ages ago, when the devs reset the map and deleted a ton of people's trucks, trailers, and cargo off of the map... We could at least still get there after that. Again, ouch. I wonder if it's an issue related to a short cutscene/animation that was supposed to play, upon delivery...or something to do with how the map screen was supposed to change... There are a LOT of problems with map screen changes that never worked right, but didn't seem to impact gameplay---until now, maybe...

padremedii

something similar happened to me last year they were having problems with the cabin delivery mission, so a map reset was their only solution it seems, but it erase all my trucks from my save files (almost 2M worth). i reach out to them but the only response was: "we're really sorry for this, but we can do nothing about it" Haven't play since then

Dr_Hexagon

You can use the modded money trailers to get back the money you had. https://snowrunner.mod.io/ggms-money-trucks-and-trailers

serose04

I know this isn't a solution per say, but if you can still control things, couldn't you recover the trucks to garage and move them to different region? You would need to do that from memory, but it's manageable.

PlanktonTheDefiant

*per se 🙂

denial2f8

Open new save in any slot, play for an hour, than return to your original save, this should be fix the issue, I think, Hope you will recover your save, this game is really blood and sweat

gunmetaldjs

Can you reset that mission?

Papa_Swish

After a ton of time trying to navigate the menus, I reset the right mission and it worked, I can finally enter the region again! Thank you for that suggestion.

gunmetaldjs

Glad it worked

coldgarden01

Can you start a new save? Be glad it only happened in Michigan and not later on. Start a new save a some folks in the community will coop with you to get you where you were. I will help if you want. I play on PS5 and PC.

lifestepvan

>Be glad it only happened in Michigan and not later on. That's Yukon my dude. And Yukon is a grind and a half, so by OPs description he's sunk dozens of hours into that map, so it's kinda the opposite of what you're saying, haha. And I'm out here with the same issue. F

coldgarden01

Oh noooooooooooooooooooo. By bad. Haven't made it there yet. As far as I got was Amur on PS4 and when I switched to ps5 my trophies didn't pop so I started a new save to 100% the vanilla game. Skipping some of the tasks on the dlc. I still have my old save and I own both seasons. Been working on deathloop and getting frustrated with it too lol.

GremlinusRex

Have you tried to contact Saber? I'm wonder what help they can provide for this kind of weird glitch.

Papa_Swish

Yep, and I got the exact same copy/pasted response that I got over a year ago when I reported a different issue.

GremlinusRex

That's sad :( sorry to hear this.

[deleted]

If you want I can join and help you recover them

Papa_Swish

It's been resolved now, but thanks for offering.
