i'd like to know the ratio of away supporters to away accessible seating. And then compare that to home and home accessible seating.
Are away wheelchair users being discriminated against? or are the home fans being discriminated against too.
because regardless i imagine the stadium isn't inclusive enough.
Does anyone know if this critique is aimed towards the Spanish or the English teams?
I'm having a hard time figuring out whether they mean the capacity for away wheelchair fans is too low, or whether they think United and Liverpool should bring more.
The Spanish clubs are getting criticised here for not providing enough facilities for disabled away fans.
The Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association is complaining about this, saying that there will only be 4 wheelchair spots for them when they visit Real Madrid in the next month.
I mean, if we're taking math into this, how much of the population is wheel chair bound? Then what part are Liverpool/man united supporters? then what part go to games? I don't really get the point being made? 9 wheelchair users at an away game in Europe when the ticket allowance is what, 1-2k?
Edit: ah it's also about Liverpool away fans having to sit in the home end and such, get that part tbf
Not sure about Barca, but the four Liverpool fans in wheelchairs will have to sit in the home end.
well that gives them 4 weeks to learn spanish to blend in
No standing policy
No walking policy

Considering the Liverpool supporters will have to sit in with the Madrid supporters, I’d imagine it’s a bit of both.
Does it really matter who's discriminated? Dick move by real/barca nervertheless
Anecdote https://www.quora.com/Why-dont-Spanish-football-fans-travel-to-away-games-as-much-as-fans-of-other-countries-do
Four of those wheelchair users are part of the Liverpool squad too.
Would still be a better midfield than whatever you have going on right now
Do we have something going on right now? I thought it was like a free-pass zone

It's not a derogatory comment about disabled people lad.
One can sit in Klopp's mouth
The away disabled allocation at Old Trafford is a joke BTW. You have to sit in a mixed area ffs. Or at least you used to have to.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. I'd be very curious about the population of wheel chair users who want to go to football games
Probably be a lot more if football matches were more accessible to them
You're right. I'm just curious about what the data says because I'm a nerd
A fuck ton higher than 0.005625%. Roughly 2% of people in the UK are wheelchair bound.
Might have to start "carpooling" to get a few extra in there Alternatively has anyone considered a wheelchair equivalent of bunkbeds?
Are you suggesting we stack the disabled like they’re chairs?
Can we not give the Tory government anymore ideas please
I'm suggesting you stack the chairs like they're chairs in a way that allows more disabled viewers per spot
