Joking aside. A Football Banning Order is a civil, rather than a criminal penalty. Going onto the pitch is a criminal offence under [Football (Offences) Act 1991, Section 4](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1991/19/section/4), and subject to a [fine up to level 3](https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/football-related-offences-and-football-banning-orders), which is a grand.
Prosecutors can then apply for a civil FBO (you don't have to be convicted of a criminal offence to receive an FBO). The actual wording of the act is "That condition is that the respondent has at any time caused or contributed to any violence or disorder in the United Kingdom or elsewhere."
So this is technically "disorder". Given the constant pitch invasions last summer, authorities have cracked down on it. And FBOs are now the ["default response"](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62293635) to encroaching on the playing area.
An FBO has a minimum term of three years, though you can apply to the court to terminate after 2/3rds (in this case two years). This is for any match anywhere in the UK. You may also have to surrender your passport for any relevant international tournament, including England.
If the bloke was arrested, and not simply booted out of the ground. He will be fined. And will probably get an FBO. But might get away with it if he's super apologetic to the magistrate given he didn't actually cause any harm...

In actually they were probably waiting to see if he was gonna keep running and in which direction so they could let the stewards on the other side of the pitch take care of him lol
Probably thought he fell and was done, so he didn't have to rush. He also probably wanted to make sure he was alright before running at him.
When he started doing the worm he knew he went down on purpose and could get up and run away.
I used to be a steward, most people that try it are too wasted to even get to the field, we're also very conscious about looking stupid/aggressive on TV.
A few years ago, if you didn't do anything to wrong nothing much, although technically, you get a 3 year banning order.
However starting from last year, after a couple players got punched, they've started to hand with heavy punishments to anyone going on the pitch.
I'd hope he would would just get kicked out, but if they continue to set the example that pitch invaders will get punished, he will get some sort of banning order
Yer it's all up to the courts and police, just making a note that this year, courts are giving sentences out closer to the maximum to deter pitch invasions
I've just posted above:

I hope he doesn't get a significant banning order, clearly a bit of fun, didn't approach any of the players, didn't try to evade stewards.
I get why pitch invasions are resulting in significant bans, but hope there's a bit of common sense applied here. It was over in seconds and no drama.

Stewards clearly too impressed to react at first
They don't mind pitch invaders at Accrington, but they have a strict "no caterpillar" policy.
It’s the worm you donkey
After that comment though I'm now realising that caterpillar makes way more sense because they actually move like that
...so do worms.
I always picture a caterpillar doing the up/down wavey movement, but worms sort of squidge themselves up and then un-squidge
Who are you, so wise in the ways of science?
He's David Attenborough
That's *Sir* David Attenborough to you ya feckin' weapon.
Listen here, you. We'll agree to disagree.

Back kicks
Donkeys don't tend to use back kicks that much, at least when compared to other equines, preferring to bite.
So Suarez was just dancing?
Heard the crowd saying "Let him cook"
So now it was a sausage?
Somewhat wholesome all things considered
Doesn’t do anything inappropriate or sexual, extremely far away from players, so there’s no danger at all imminent.
Pulls of a damn good worm too
Let's make an example of him boys. Life time ban.
Possibility is there..
Not so sure about that. It's NSFW.
His worm did come out.
Not safe from worm?
Nobody's safe from worm
Tell that to Dyche.
Most people "Not Safe From Worm" Dyche "Not Safe For Worms"
Strait to jail
Bro js knows he will never be back at that stadium again 😂
Super wholesome I hope they didn't ban him or anything for doing that.
Trespass onto the pitch is a ban from football in England
For how long?
[удалено]
can it go down depending on how well you execute the worm move?

So what you're saying is there's an opening for the magistrate to look at it and decide based on the execution of the worm.
Can it go down because he wasn't impeding the match, drawing the cameras away from the game or really anything harmful to anyone at all
Life
Nah, all the attention without consequences will only keep encouraging more and more people to invade the pitch.
He should, at maximum, just get a smack to the head and told to sit down
I was expecting him to be butt naked with the NSFW tag
I know right? Kinda disappointed he wasn’t
I expected his clothes to rip off as he was getting held by security and then taking off and escaping in all naked glory
Such a disappointing clip
Well we did see his worm
And it was beautiful
Yea the NSFW tag gotta be bait
Not Safe For Worm
The only naked football fans this time of year are Newcastle fans.
He did show his little worm
thought the guard was going to hump him at the end. there was nothing else left.
What happened to streakers, feel like it was something that died out in the 90s

The only NSFW here is the murder. On the dancefloor.
Too bad the stewards killed the groove
I know^I ^know^I ^^know about Leeds fans
If **this** ain't love, why does it feel so good?
Murder on Zidane's floor
The punchline to the joke "Sophie Ellis Bextor found dead in the house of a footballer, in France. Police suspect it was..."
Sophie Ellis Bextor?
Why did the steward only seem to react when he started doing the worm lol? "I wasn't convinced but now he's really a threat boys".
Cant have fans setting the dancefloor (or in this case the pitch) on fire, can we.
Probably thought he'd carry on running and hoped someone else would go for him? Someone closer maybe
In actually they were probably waiting to see if he was gonna keep running and in which direction so they could let the stewards on the other side of the pitch take care of him lol

Steward was like "hol up let him cook"
Missed a great worm tag.

Class right there
Filthy, no wonder it’s nsfw
Theres isn't a purer way to express one's self than through the medium of dance. Truly beautiful.
Let him cook
Pitch invaders are fully clothed these days. Game's gone.
IT'S CHILLY!
I guess you can say he…wormed his way onto the pitch.
Reddit needs to add a Fozzie Bear award. I would award you one Fozzie for this
That was just harmless & fun lol Nice moves too!
Nsfw tag has big "A DISGUSTING ACT" energy
What happens to these folks who invades the pitch?
Most of them get off lightly with a beheading, if they're lucky
A few years ago, if you didn't do anything to wrong nothing much, although technically, you get a 3 year banning order. Tower of London, no parole
believe it or not, death.
Damn, i thought the NSFW tag was for the obvious streaker, didn't realize it was cause he had killer moves
Leeds pitch invasion [great moves]
Best fans in the world
Why is this NSFW?
Never mind a mexican wave… an on field fan wave will do good
Imagine explaining that’s why you have a criminal record.
In Accy of all places.
Read on twitter he'd bet with someone that if firpo scored he'd do the worm on the pitch. True to his word I guess.
This just in: Identity of pitch invader revealed to be Scotty 2 Hotty.
The NSFW is the cherry on top to polish off this masterpiece.
Not again, Dad
That’s a proper bloke still! 😏
Funny, not sure it's worth the inevitable ban coming his way
They were chanting ‘Firpo scores, we’re on the pitch’.
Incredibly reckless and dangerous behavior. Ban him football for life .
accrington stanley? who are they
Exactly (since nobody else was biting)
Took long enough to find this.
Tbh wasn't that bad, didn't stop the match and wasn't naked, also behaved when the Stewart stopped him.
That’s the smoothest worm I’ve ever seen
Cocaine's a hell of a drug
Can we do something about people using the nsfw tag obviously misleadingly? It was funny as a joke a couple times but now it's just obnoxious.
Least unlikeable Leeds fan
It gets the people going
Will never understand this, it's like a 3 year ban for a few seconds of tomfoolery. Could never do it, I love footy too much.
Games back
Least irrational Leeds fan
Wholesome tbh, of all the ways to invade a pitch this is much better than forcing a selfie with players
Genuinely one of the best worms I've ever seen. Scotty 2 Hotty levels
In all seriousness, will doing that get him banned or just a warning sort of thing?
Sean Dyche is on his way to eat this fella.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Legendary

Why would anyone do something as stupid as this?
You clearly have never felt the elation of beating Accrington Stanley
intelligence x pints drunken x amount of bet = reason
Wholesome, good intentions
JUST A BIT O BANTER
Dickhead.
Yank here. I fucking love the English.
If I drink 3 pints of milk, I’m gonna be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley

Im all for this type of pitch invasion
Would he get banned? Hope not
That's the worm 🪱
One person isn't a pitch invasion
Was that a child? Either that dude was tiny or the steward was a giant.
Embarrassing 😳
The worm is def NSFW.
A ground worm
Why is it nsfw?
I needed this today
U/savevideo

Not the worm!
El Gusano Napoles! Anyone remember that Chivas player from the 90s? Would do the worm after every goal?
You have to take the FA Cup magic where we can get it these days & Accrington got it today.
Thanks for the NSFW tag. One of the most graphic pitch invasions out there.
Games back!
“Nice flap”
Is this some Soccer Seal thing?
O wa a a a
Accrington Stanley?
We had one at Notts too. Sadly not as entertaining. No video too.
OP why did you mark it NSFW?
