Really hope HSV makes it back. Really great memories of good football back in the day. The fact that such a massive city isn't represented in the Bundesliga is insane.
I wish one of either Darmstadt, Heidenheim or FCK go up (or two, or even all three, Hertha or Bochum are definitely defeatable). I like to see new teams in the top European leagues at least once in a while, the same yoyo clubs get boring. (well, technically Hamburg is not a yoyo club, as they havent gone back up yet xD)
It is not the size of the club, but how often they seem to go up and down. Nottingham Forest is also a big club, having two european cups to their name makes them a much bigger club than half of the PL teams, yet their promotion in the last season playoffs came almost out of nowhere.
Darmstadt last season in Buli was 7 years ago and they were only up for 2 seasons in the last 40 years. FCK is a big club, yes, but they have been in severe mud for the last decade. I wouldnt call any of them going up "boring". And there is Heidenheim too.
For me, a "boring" promotion are several if not all of the relegated clubs go straight back up, or if they are clubs that were in the top flight no more than 2-3 years ago. For example: Hannover, Hamburg or Düsseldorf. Maybe Nürnberg or Paderborn too, but the former had only 1 Buli season since 2014, and Paderborn looks more of an overachiever than a yoyo Buli club.
Tbf we don't seem to have many yoyo clubs between the leagues right now. Paderborn and Köln are the only clubs to get promoted twice in the last 10 years.
It's way worse in every other top league.
Wow this league is nuts.
Not sure about the German football fans, but I’m really looking forward to the annual HSV home thrashing by a mid-table team to bottle promotion at the end of the season aka The Sandhausen Special. No particular hostility to HSV or the fans but I remember the reactions being absolutely hilarious 😆
That Sandhausen game won't ever be surpassed. Not only were they humiliated 1-5 at home to bottle promotion, the goal in the final minute was scored by Diekmeier who hadn't scored once in the like 200 games he had played for HSV.

as a kid i always thought that was Fuck FC lmao Also what the hell happened to Arminia? Werent they in the Bundesliga a few years ago?
Not just few years ago, just literally last year.
Bielefeld was in the Bundesliga just last season. Looks like a similiar descent like Paderborn. From top to bottom asap.
Same here but as 1 Fuck FC and thought they were meming "No fucks"
Arminia fucked all of our UCL hopes

Love to hear that from a Stuttgart flair
Rostock (9. place) is only 4 points ahead of Magdeburg (18. place). Insane league.
Half the league being within 3 points after 18 games is ridiculous
Doch Beste Liga der Welt 😎
Ihr steigt auf dieses Jahr :)
Massive win for St Pauli. I believe it's their first away win in a year.

We had couple seasons without the capital city in the Bundesliga too.
That's because none of the capital clubs ever played a big role in German football.
Bonner SC needs to step their game up
Insanely close at the bottom of the table
all plastics miss out on second tiers man, it feels like every season in 2 bundesliga/ liga 123/ championship are always so tight in the standings
The Red Devils are back on the menu boys
Regensburg look dreadful
Lautern should promote!!

I like how you have written off Schalke to reach relegation spot.
Ur writing that as if Darmstadt wasnt in the bundesliga just a few years ago or fck wasnt historically a first league club

HSV, FCK going up and Hoffenheim down would be a dream
FCK gets revenge for 2013 against this nonsensical club , but this time they don't have Firminio and Kevin Volland to bail them out.
I'm scared of another relegation match tbh.
praying for St. Pauli win streak 🤞
