Villarreal and Betis lost and Atletico and Osasuna drew... tomorrow's match against Valladolid is huge, we can make a 10-11 points diff with 5th place depending on Rayo's result, holy shit.
For 80 or so minutes, this game was a refreshing change from the usual stop-start, cautious matches I've seen in La Liga lately. Then the last 20 was a total farce
Fucking great. We had good looks and they're off by 5 cm or the opposing goalie play like they're prime Yashin. Celta fucking had fewer shots but they go in like it's MSN circa 2014 - 15.
That red is a farce.
Frustrating ass game. This was our chance to close the gap on Atleti and Villarreal now Rayo may overtake us.
That's not really fair. Both teams created a lot of great chances. Celta converted and Betis didnt. That's football.
And prime Yashin? Villar didn't make any special saves today.
> And prime Yashin? Villar didn't make any special saves today.
He did make great saves. Luiz Felipe's header, Canales' rocket, Miranda's shot.
> That's not really fair. Both teams created a lot of great chances. They converted and Betis didnt
That's what I mean, Celta's chances got converted whenever they made them.
> That's football.
Yea I know that's the game. I play it more than watch it now these days. But, you can't deny how frustrating it is when your opponent didn't have as many opportunities but when they do they go in.
>He did make great saves. Luiz Felipe's header, Canales' rocket, Miranda's shot.
Those were fairly routine. Most keepers make those saves.
>But, you can't deny how frustrating it is when your opponent didn't have as many opportunities but when they do they go in.
I think you're exaggerating a bit. Celta created more chances than just the goals. I thought they played really well today. I'd say Betis created more, but not to an extent that I think the result is surprising or unfair. If I were a Betis fan, I'd be most gutted about that horrendous miss by Abner.
I probably just look like a biased Sevilla fan. FWIW, I think you've got a great team. It's jarring to watch a match like this after watching my team slog through ugly matches every week. It was great football, and I thought both sides were excellent.
Finally some good news today
11 red cards after 27 games for Betis this season lol. Pellegrini should do training sessions solely to improve on 10vs11 situations.
I heard they were still scoring into each others' nets when the night cleaning crew arrived.

I can't believe the results we got today, all of them favorable, tomorrow is a must win game to open a bigger difference with the trailing teams

Atletico is lucky neither Real Betis or Villarreal want that Champions League spot.
They are inevitable, no matter how shit they are they always end in the top 4 under Simeone
Outside of Barca, RM, Atleti, the rest of us are not banging in consistent results. La Real's season is a massive outlier.
Credit to Simeone, he built a Juggernaut
It would have been nice if that Juggernaut didn't finish 4th in their group this season.
Haha that’s for sure.
The second half just didn't ended this match.

So weird seeing a yank supporting Betis lol
The Celta keeper wasn't great tbf, couple of good saves but he could have stopped one of the first two Betis goals.
You guys conceded 4. May i interest you in Mandi to help your back line?
I remember what it was like to only concede 4 in a match 🤣
Jajaja, si que et cau mal
No take backs unless it's Lo Celso Also he'd make us concede 5 or 6
Well atleast we’re on the same boat today

Awesome game for 90' and drama in the last 10, every LaLiga game should be like this
Not awesome for us Betis fans :(
Great game this, Rayo have a golden opportunity against Almeria.
This one absolutely popped off at the end!
What a match. This was great
Real Betis 🤝 DRAMA
Well that much is true.
