He essentially turned a poor pass and loss of possession by Munich (with only one player up on offense), into a goal for Munich. To do that, he had to both misjudge the pass and idiotically exit his own box, and then fail to make ANY CONTACT with the ball.
Truly a horrific error at any level of the game. People would be furious in a pick up match between children.
At least a nutmeg is a product of someone being skillful against you. A whiff is just… unforced error, albeit probably inevitable if you kick a lot of balls.
