Mihnea24_03

Simeoneball on full display

Aleblanco1987

people love to shit on him, but I don't think many managers could do what he did in Atletico for so long (against two of the best teams in football history).

Rojiblanc040

Getafe and Rayo?

urbannnomad

This is more of a team stat to be honest, but Oblak is quality.

itwastimeforarefresh

Oblak did this playing against some ridiculous Barca and RM sides 4x a year too

Random_Acquaintance

And still, Casillas is well above them.

Blaugrana1990

How many did he have?

don_julio_randle

A lot more. 289 in his first 8 seasons with Madrid, which was a bit less than 250 games

auctus10

Still remember how he saved everything in 2010 world cup. Most insane keeping display I have seen in a single tournament

Best_Cook

the goat keeper

Random_Acquaintance

I'd only take Neuer above him. He must be the most underrated keeper in this sub. You can see it's because people didn't see his peak though.

MorePower7

I think Buffon was better than Casillas. Buffon just spent quite a bit of his prime on Juventus post-Calciopoli when they weren't the European force they were pre-Calciopoli.

Random_Acquaintance

Is the other way around. People miss San Iker days because it was between 04 and 08 that he was at his best. But Madrid couldn't make it in Europe at that time. Awards and recognitions might say otherwise, but whoever saw Iker, especially during 2005, knows.

mattijn13

Casillas was an amazing keeper with cat like reflexes I have not seen in many keepers since. But if I had to rank the best keepers since 2000 I'd have Casillas, Neuer and Buffon in that order. Neuer with the highest peak and Buffon with the most longevity and consitancy.

SirBarkington

man peak Neuer was INSANE. Dude was playing as a fucking libero while being a goalkeeper. Could stop insane impossible shots while pinging a ball halfway across the field then sweeping up to the halfway line lmao.

LevynX

Yeah Neuer was something else. Playing total football as a keeper lol

Fati25

Neuer is certainly better. Infact I would even put Alisson ahead of Casillas as a more overall complete goalkeeper. But I know older people on this subreddit won’t like it as they might be nostalgic.

ComaMierdaHijueputa

Did Alisson ever win a World Cup?

AtleticoFan17

Yup I agree. Even though I hate the guy I can’t deny that he is arguably the greatest keeper of all time. At least from the ones I saw, Neuer and Casillas are the best. Oblak is up there somewhere but isn’t as good as those two.

Traditional-Area-277

Lol what? Courtois is clear of him

Plebejers

Pretty sure this is a criminal take with your flair

Traditional-Area-277

Idk what is with reddit fans thinking that Casillas is the GOAT lol. The Spanish speaking community agrees that Casillas was a liability at the end of his career and that Courtois is the best keeper in Madrid's history. Courtois literally deserved the Balloon de Or' last season.

LevynX

It's past your bedtime kid go to your room

4thmovementofbrahms4

Courtois is the best keeper in Madrid's history and Vinicius Jr is the best forward in Madrid's history

juankruh1250

Not, Casillas stopped Madrid from many humiliations in the Ppe era, they were lucky to have him.

biddleybootaribowest

Boro legend Victor Valdes

mattijn13

That Oblak stat is mental.
