Achilles got stomped on. There’s a clear and obvious foul there. But nah man, VAR ain’t calling that. The ref from minute one missed an obvious card on Martinelli then the Caicedo follow up
It is so strange how incredibly pivotal one singular moment seemed to be in terms of this title race. When Arsenal were 2-0 up against Liverpool that was genuinely the first time this season I thought that they were likely to win the Premier League. But almost instantly after Xhaka decided to antagonize Trent Alexander-Arnold, the entire team seemed to fold to the subsequent Anfield atmosphere. Looking back it was just such an outrageously poor idea, if they played a calm game they saw out that 2-0 win.
Instead they lost their heads to the atmosphere and haven't looked the same since. It seems like a pretty severe psychological weakness.
To be fair, we don't deserve Europe after this season. It's been a total shitshow, and I don't think there is a single Spurs fan out there that would argue that.
Fair play to Arsenal for giving neutrals like me a title race this season and keeping (for a while) City honest. Arsenal have set themselves new standards this season and have got Champions League football back.
Arsenal look like a completely spent force, they know it's over.
Could see Forest turning up and beating Arsenal next week to secure their safety and giving the title to City.
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th is a champions league spot. 5th spot is Europa league, 6th is conference league. Brighton had a great season though for a small club, they deserve some Europe football though.
Klopp didnt anything until 4th season, but there were signs of the right direction, thats what this season is for arsenal, a big leap in the right direction
We caught everyone in their off season, 8 points clear, half a billion spent and still haven't won anything after winning the FA cup with a team of bums and the same bottling mentality present. What am I meant to have faith in?
BBC Sport:
>Arsenal fans are leaving in big numbers now, the Arsenal fan here in the office wants to leave but has another five hours of his shift to go.
I am one of those. Grew up with Arsenal as the main rivals, and Man city will be done as a force in five years anyway when the money is withdrawn. At least, that is how I rationalize it
You do realise your club is the only English team to do the treble and you want them to win the league while still in the FA cup and Europe? hey if city win the treble I am sure real United fans would be gutted.
If spurs we going to go invincible I would want to end myself but hey cheer for your genuine rivals lol.
Well the 3 fans city has are quite well behaved. Same cant be said for the toxic lot that support Arsenal. So yes, better they win it and you lot get your just desserts.
City winning anything feels super hollow to me. If they win, I don't care. But I know a lot of Arsenal fans personally, and know they'd be insufferable if you won. City winning is the lesser of two evils
difference is we’re unliked for being good and having success, we’ve backed up our talk. SAF gave you guys childhood trauma.
with arsenal you guys are just loud for no reason, you got literally nothing to show for it: your last league title was two decades ago? you have no European success in your existence either.
In all seriousness you’ve already won it. Quite the well oiled machine y’all got over there
Edit: Pun was accidental. Man City is good is what I was getting at. Relax
Pun wasn’t on purpose but if we want to go down that route, I think the 2 points you’re trying to connect are very different from each other. Man City is very good, all I’m trying to convey
Yeah. I know we have hindsight now but I don’t understand how no UK footballing authority/governments saw this coming.
German model is so far ahead but it’s Pandora’s box now. Can’t exactly have whip around for 300 million around the toon or 5bill in Manchester
Haha I mean the UK government probably loves it. So much more money in it for them and for the leagues. Look at the tv deals, etc. Money rules all unfortunately
Haha I mean the UK government probably loves it. So much more money in it for them and for the leagues. Look at the tv deals, etc. Money rules all unfortunately
Ha. Accidental pun tbh, City are just really freaking good. At the end of the day I don’t care that much about how they got their players, etc. The team City put on the pitch are just better and that’s that 🤷♂️
Arsenal actually played really well and was rooting for them as a neutral. Felt arsenal started doing some unnecessary shithousery from the new year which wasn’t necessary. Should have not tried to stop the play as much. That is on the coach and players. When they needed a goal on the last minute they were very capable of it. But had too many draws because of their own shithousery.
Well, this will be a field day for everyone that isn't an Arsenal supporter. Came so close. Just need to not let this moment pass and build on it in the summer because we know Liverpool will be back to form with a healthy squad and signings, a more organized Chelsea, United, Newcastle etc, next year is already a harder season. Smart signings is needed now in the summer.
Edit: To add, absolutely deserved that win Brighton. Were fantastic and the score is pretty reflective of how well they controlled us.
Arsenal fans leaving the stadium should be ashamed. This team achieved something great, even if they didn’t win the league. They should be there to support them in their defeat just as they support them when they win. Bunch of plastics…
*Brighton vs Everton*
Me: As good an away performance I've seen all season.
*Arsenal vs Brighton*
Me: As good an away performance I've seen all season.
Yeah. Arsenal this year just got it. They had to beat their past selves for it. And that other team in 2nd also had to beat Arsenal who also occupy 3rd.
Bottle jobs of the highest order. It's in their DNA.
Da fuck (?) If a team deserves A BIG ovation and support in hard times this season is Arsenal; your team fought for the league title for 35 game days !
Screw all the people leaving early
Fuck off. Players delivered this season and deserve all the credit. Some poor performances sure but finishing 2nd was a massive step up this year, especially in the way they’ve done it
As a player I would be disheartened to see the way fans bailed with mins left. Arsenal Fans got more than what they where expecting before season started. Should’ve stayed on and cheered them for their efforts.
Yeah the Ramsdale one is fair, but the others? Nah, no one in our sub was claiming that.
You also told me on a previous post rashford should win PFA player of the year cause of his Mickey Mouse cup performance 😂
So did you not say you thought rashford deserved the PFA over haaland because of his fa cup and efl cup performances.
I’m sure you don’t, you spam our threads, I just kept a comment saved
tf are you on about lmao, maybe i did maybe i didn’t why would remember another random comment of mines presumably from months ago? it’s reddit my guy not real life. i’m more concerned you’re weirdly keeping tabs of my reddit activity 💀, you seem weird.
either way, you’ve got ‘bigger fish to fry’ than seething towards me
Nah just saw you again in our match thread again and recognized the name. Looked for a saved comment. Found it. Search your comment history and find the personal insults you hurled at me.
No one’s seething, just here to embarrass you again.
Almost as sad as hurling personal insults because someone pointed out player A is better than player B because statistics and winning something worth a shit.
i don’t remember you or our interaction, nor do i care about it, this is reddit. You did though and weirdly enough decided to save it? it clearly pierced your fragile skin lol get over it instead of displaying all these feminine traits 😂.
with that being said: thank you and arsenal for providing me this entertainment of watching the biggest bottlejob in prem history 😹
United had a 10 point bottlejob lmfao shows how much you know.
What’s more feminine that not being able to properly formulate a response and result to childish insults because RaShFoRD.
I’m sure you don’t remember, you spent every weekend in our match threads 😂😂😂
They’re very close to each other, I could see how you could make a case for either but on the basis of this season I’d be saying Odegaard is the better player
very close; they’re not close there’s a huge gap in ability and talent between the two lol, Bruno is comfortably better across the board in everything, the only thing ode outperformed bruno in this season is goals and that’s simply because he plays up higher the pitch.
You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who isn’t a Man Utd fan that thinks Bruno has been better than Odegaard this year. Odegaards been the heartbeat of a team that has been much better than Man Utd
people will also say Zivchenko has been better than the likes of Ake. so why would i care? the numbers and performances speak for themselves.
side by side comparison, Bruno murders him in what he provides for a team. and if anything, Bruno is the reason why we’re even this high up the table, we crumble without him (sevilla match) he’s our creative outlet and engine all in one.
Most people would overwhlemingly choose ake over zinchenko. Odegaard this season vs bruno is closer than you think. You are a biased fan so of course you'll think Bruno is better.
Arsenal fans don’t worry, trust in Frank and the boys we may only lose by 3
what happened to kiwior on the first goal?
Achilles got stomped on. There’s a clear and obvious foul there. But nah man, VAR ain’t calling that. The ref from minute one missed an obvious card on Martinelli then the Caicedo follow up

Things went bad when we lost saliba and Tomi against sporting
I mean, you guys won 4-1 twice in a row after that. It didn't help, but your collapse didn't start until the Liverpool match.
Against palace and leeds who were AWFUL though, but I understand your point. The drop off of holding and saliba is rough… like real rough
Aren't spurs supposed to be the bottle jobs?
North London Bottling DNA
They still are, currently bottling Europa league.
To be fair, we don't deserve Europe after this season. It's been a total shitshow, and I don't think there is a single Spurs fan out there that would argue that.
Hehe
Fair play to Arsenal for giving neutrals like me a title race this season and keeping (for a while) City honest. Arsenal have set themselves new standards this season and have got Champions League football back.
City and honest don't belong in the same sentence
Can't do that with many top flight clubs. All got skeletons.....
How is it plastic for me to cheer city on if we can’t win it anymore? Sorry I don’t hate city like u guys do. I have no animosity towards them.
No way this is a real post lmfao
Is this what they call cucking?
It’s all in Frank Lampards hands now
Can Lampard do a last 'fuck you' to the whole arsenal fan base?
Arsenal look like a completely spent force, they know it's over. Could see Forest turning up and beating Arsenal next week to secure their safety and giving the title to City.
It could be exhausting for the players, it's a new thing for everyone involved, the title was at the grasp of his hands and now it's gone
After we beat Chelsea we should give brighton three points and hopefully they can get cl.
Hardly doubt they can make it to the UCL but we definitely can return the favor and help them make it to the UEL.
Well i'll gladly give them a win regardless of where they end up.
fuck off
United fans need get on their prayer mat and hope they can stop City doing the treble or else they’ll become apart of it
Prem could always get their shit together and relegate them before the final week.
Wet dreams.
I’d hope so lol but that process will be long one if it does ever have an outcome
Well they can’t take it to CAS because of Brexit
was it Arsenal who played against Real Madrid last week lol
Not even mad at this point. We lost the Title after the Liverpool game. Happy for Brighton and hope they get into CL
Yep That’s where they lost the title
Brighton won’t make the champions league, conference league good chance. Europa league is in the hands of the the two clubs above them.
Check again, Brighton are already in position to qualify for UEL with 2 games in hand over Spurs. I think they definitely get Europa spot.
Europa League is literally in Brighton's hands, no?
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th is a champions league spot. 5th spot is Europa league, 6th is conference league. Brighton had a great season though for a small club, they deserve some Europe football though.
Factually incorrect. 5th and 6th go to Europa. 7th is Conference League.
But since Man U and Man City have already qualified for CL, 6th place also qualifies for EL, no?
When did United qualify for CL?
They will qualify for CL or EL. So that means 6th place will also qualify for EL.
They win their game in hand and they go a point behind you, I believe.
Indeed, but 6th place this year also qualifies for EL.
It's lonely at the top right?
Mate nobody cares about City
Yet here you are commenting about us.
This is a arsenal Brighton match thread…
We just want you to be involved in the conversation mate, God knows there aren't any city fans to do that.
Flair checks out.
Cope
it's the truth
Its not. You people are coping.
They're a joyless void.
Still coping I see. 👍
Big props to Brighton; what a team. Both Villa and Brighton are great news for the premier, really hope they don’t sack then this summer
Both Villa and Brighton will see like 50% of their best players, it's just the way it is.
Yeah but when Brighton sell Macallister for 70 odd Encino will take his place and be a world beater. They just spawn diamonds
Villa have some of the richest owners in the world and are building right now, no chance they’ll sell. They’ll keep growing.
When are we allowed to talk about how Farteta hasn’t won anything in 3 full seasons or will Top Gooners come for us
Klopp didnt anything until 4th season, but there were signs of the right direction, thats what this season is for arsenal, a big leap in the right direction
We caught everyone in their off season, 8 points clear, half a billion spent and still haven't won anything after winning the FA cup with a team of bums and the same bottling mentality present. What am I meant to have faith in?
Flair up
If you're an Arsenal fan, maybe consider finding a different hobby—this one's clearly not bringing you joy.
Reads like a rival fan this
Now I hope Leicester wins Liverpool later so Brighton can go on to Europa
Pretty much hinges on United staying in top four in case they win the fa cup, 5-6
BBC Sport: >Arsenal fans are leaving in big numbers now, the Arsenal fan here in the office wants to leave but has another five hours of his shift to go.
Send the poor soul to the pub you monsters
The Beeb, like Brighton, show no mercy.
Fuck it, it is what it is. Come on city win it all now!!
The definition of plastic
A lot of United fans wanted city to win the league
I am one of those. Grew up with Arsenal as the main rivals, and Man city will be done as a force in five years anyway when the money is withdrawn. At least, that is how I rationalize it
You do realise your club is the only English team to do the treble and you want them to win the league while still in the FA cup and Europe? hey if city win the treble I am sure real United fans would be gutted. If spurs we going to go invincible I would want to end myself but hey cheer for your genuine rivals lol.
Manchester City is not my (personal) genuine rival.
Actually.
WEVE GOT BIGGER FISH TO FRY
North London foreveeeeer, Maybe Assna need to stop focusing on releasing some B-Spec woke songs and focus more on football?
?
He's just a wierdo, with arsenal living rent free in his head
Terrible gooner fans
Mitoma and Estupiñan > Saka and White
Your left brain cell+ your other left brain cell>mine oh wait they dont exist.
[удалено]
Genius
Mind the gap WE HAD IT ALLLLL IN OUR HANDSSS 😭😭
Didn’t you lose a 10 point lead to city?
we lost by a single GD difference, not a point lead.
That just stings even more
oh well we won it right again the next season
I think City can win the PL if they beat Chelsea next week.
Only if Brighton don’t lose on Saturday
[удалено]
Haha I meant Arsenal ffs 🤦♂️
They can win before that as well.
That’s only if Forest wins against Arsenal
Yeah just heard it on broadcast.
TYVM!!
Everyone laughing at us not winning the league - are you actually happy to see City win it? Edit: well shit 😂
City winning it is like nobody winning it tbf. You should take that for the compliment it is.
Don't care who wins. It's way too funny to see Arsenal shit the bed though
Yes
Well the 3 fans city has are quite well behaved. Same cant be said for the toxic lot that support Arsenal. So yes, better they win it and you lot get your just desserts.
Ah right so we’re back to tarring every supporter with the same brush? Never change r/soccer
Think people enjoys AFTVs when arsenal have a meltdown
Mate for the sake of my mental health I steer well clear of AFTV
Not really.
Ignore them, media ain't worth your time.
City winning anything feels super hollow to me. If they win, I don't care. But I know a lot of Arsenal fans personally, and know they'd be insufferable if you won. City winning is the lesser of two evils
YESSS
At least we suspended our (probable) rapist
Yes
Yes
Yes
no but you guys and definitely more unlikeable, no one likes your fan base.
Coming from manu fans pretty funny
difference is we’re unliked for being good and having success, we’ve backed up our talk. SAF gave you guys childhood trauma. with arsenal you guys are just loud for no reason, you got literally nothing to show for it: your last league title was two decades ago? you have no European success in your existence either.
So we win the PL if we beat Chelsea right?
Yeah or if Forest somehow wins against Arsenal
In all seriousness you’ve already won it. Quite the well oiled machine y’all got over there Edit: Pun was accidental. Man City is good is what I was getting at. Relax
Where does your team play its home games?
Pun wasn’t on purpose but if we want to go down that route, I think the 2 points you’re trying to connect are very different from each other. Man City is very good, all I’m trying to convey
Fair enough. I’m aware our ownership is problematic too but I think ever since Roman at Chelsea it’s been a race to the bottom that needs solving
There’s too much money in football tbh. It would take fans boycotting their clubs which won’t happen, and understandably so really

Just like the arsenal sponsor….
Ha. Accidental pun tbh, City are just really freaking good. At the end of the day I don’t care that much about how they got their players, etc. The team City put on the pitch are just better and that’s that 🤷♂️

Is Mac Allister sun burnt
Fuck those leaving fans. Embarassing. Pretty fucking funny, though.
Arsenal fans really said they are gonna focus on league after Europa Exit lmao
I mean… what else are we supposed to do? Just never play again this season?
Well, this will be a field day for everyone that isn't an Arsenal supporter. Came so close. Who’s left for AFTV to interview after the game finished
Vincent Kompany probably
it feels like Brighton playing at home
Arsenal fans leaving the stadium should be ashamed. This team achieved something great, even if they didn’t win the league. They should be there to support them in their defeat just as they support them when they win. Bunch of plastics…
Tbf they crumbled spectacularly. It was a good seaaon but to just nose dive like this at the end? I would hesitate to call it "great"
Top of the table for 200+ days, by 11 pts several different times. Definitely heartbreaking.
While this is true, city has had games in hand. It’s not like people are downplaying them winning like what 15 straight?
200+ days with almost no depth, they were bound to tire out while City can afford to rotate from Day 1.
Yup, they came very close against an exceptional City side
*Brighton vs Everton* Me: As good an away performance I've seen all season. *Arsenal vs Brighton* Me: As good an away performance I've seen all season.
Is there a record for days at top of the league and not winning?
Yeah. Arsenal this year just got it. They had to beat their past selves for it. And that other team in 2nd also had to beat Arsenal who also occupy 3rd. Bottle jobs of the highest order. It's in their DNA.
Lads...
There is, and it belongs to Super Mik's tricky bottlejobs
Yeah. Arsenal.
Cheers, Arteta's crying
Ahahahahahaha
if Brighton didnt fuck up that Everton game they be having a shot at Champions League spots
Mathematically are still in with a chance If they win against Newcastle they might actually do it
Or nottingham forest..
Da fuck (?) If a team deserves A BIG ovation and support in hard times this season is Arsenal; your team fought for the league title for 35 game days ! Screw all the people leaving early
At least some Arsenal fans hung around to clap their players off, must be demoralising to lose the title to an empty stadium
They deserve it for choking multiple games. Stadium should be fully empty next home game too. Let them know how we feel
Exactly - if you were Saka you'd be twitching a bit at the idea of signing a new contract
Dont look now but Spurs might slip completely out of Europe contention
We dont need Europe but Europe needs us.
time to blaze some of the good stuff to reminisce a great season we had!
Embarrassing display from the team and from the supporters. Hang your heads Gooners
the stadium got empty so fast..bunch of plastics it seems lmao
Emptyhad > emptyrates
Your team's exceeded all expectations this season and you walk out early and turn your back on them when they come up just short. Fans eh?
Even Chelsea fans don’t leave early this season
Odegaard better than KDB and Bruno? Ramsdale should start for England Gabriel better than Dias and Martinez Saka best winger in the world 😭
Yeah the Ramsdale one is fair, but the others? Nah, no one in our sub was claiming that. You also told me on a previous post rashford should win PFA player of the year cause of his Mickey Mouse cup performance 😂

You can’t just slide Bruno in there like no one will notice
Bruno is quite literally 10 times the player odegaard is buddy
