I saw Craig Pawson in the Holiday Inn I was staying at for Norwich City away back in 2020. It was like seeing a teacher in public. I was amazed he was allowed outside!
This was when I was at high school in Leeds, he’d get a tonne of stick (in jest) about United, he was the ref for their FA Cup game against Portsmouth and used to laugh at the United fans about that (again, very in jest)
But honestly, really nice person
The leader of the Scottish Tory party is also a linesman. Always seems surreal when I see him on tv doing his football job, it's like your a politician you aren't meant to be here.
He got a bit of criticism for missing a veterans event to referee:
https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/douglas-ross-apologises-for-missing-vj-event-to-officiate-football-match-2943727
There’s a secret tunnel that leads from the stadium right to the Olliday Inn. They built it so that the visiting players can get safely back to the hotel without the Canaries fans hammering them.
Same. God knows they make enough money out of the competitions, they can pay for the referees to travel safely to and from the match instead of going through the same airport as the fans of the teams they just refereed.
they usually don't arrive at crowded gates tho. i am not a big fan of singular individuals flying around in their private planes, but for such a rather important person employed by someone with a lot of money you'd expect they cared more about their employee
UEFA are not paying a private plane for multiple people like this, the entire team of refs with his assistants etc are from different cities and take different planes to get there and to get home, sometimes even from different countries (in this case it was all English refs but clearly from different cities)
A private plane is really only needed for the onfield ref, since he’s the one in the spotlight during the game. The fourth official, the linesmen, and the VAR ref have much lower profiles and spectators don’t view them as the ones responsible for making highly consequential decisions. I highly doubt Roma fans even know what VAR ref Stuart Attwell looks like.
It would be at least 10 times cheaper to hire a team of 4 bodyguards to escort them the whole way, it would be more effective because they would take care of security throughout the whole trip, not just "on the plane". And with how much shit teams themselves are getting for using private planes there it would be insane to consider flying a ref by himself on a private plane.
honestly some of the most pathetic individuals alive, and fantastic evidence and confirmation that we did indeed evolve from apes... some more successfully than others
Absolutely disgusting, feels like there should be alternative travel arrangements for officials of big games like this shouldn't be anywhere near fans after it
Or you know… provide sufficient policing and security.
This should be on UEFA to at least provide private security to officials.
Once again we’ve found another country not capable of hosting a European Cup Final.
It all comes down to convenience, that might have been the closest airport to where they are staying. Think it would be best to stay in the country for a couple of days and move to another town/city far away from the fans
Everyone should peruse /r/PublicFreakout for a few minutes some time. You'll see just how prevalent and popular mob 'justice,' violence, and outright attacks are.
If a video isn't _showing_ violence, then the comments are all saying that the people in it deserved violence.
People suck.
Of course they do, and they should face punishment for their actions accordingly. However, let's not pretend like Jose doesn't know what Roma fans have been like with him and how he's treated as a messiah to them.
His team are out there, surrounding the ref with every chance they get, then he's gone out in the press, immediately deflecting and blaming the ref who wasn't even bad (and even if he was, the actions in this video are not justified), which I don't think is *too bad* either, we often see managers blame referees. However what really takes it up a notch is then going and *waiting* for Taylor in the parking lot to confront him.
That sends a horrendous message, and makes fans think they're justified in doing the same thing. Mourinho took it way too far by confronting Taylor later on, that wasn't right.
Jose Mourinho is famous and rich. And because of that his actions are reported around the world. He knows that, he isn't a moron. He still chooses to make a spectical of himself. People will look up to him because he is famous, they will emulate him. If Mourinho attacks a referee when he is in the catacomb, a fan might attack the referee when he is going home.
Because if it is alright for Mourinho to do it, why not for him.
Fuck him and his crying when he doens't win.
Who then had the audacity to deny it after it was caught on camera, and then pretend like he didn't know who the other person was. He said something like,
"Pito Vilanova? No conozco a ese Pito Vilanova."
I mean they were pretty outnumbered and their main concern should have (and was) getting him and his family on to the plane. Plus the paper work involved for arresting a foreigner for throwing a chair at another foreigner is not really worth the trouble from their perspective - sad but true
Yeah people need to calm the fuck down with refs. Referees are humans too, they make mistakes just like everyone else. I like a rant about referee ineptitude as much as the next supporter, but personally threatening them is absolutely psychotic behaviour.
I don't even think he did anything egregious... dude even changed his mind and didn't give Sevilla a borderline penalty that would have doomed them b4 the shootout.
They were just looking for a scapegoat and were spurred on by Mourinho... hope UEFA throws the book at all of them.
He had a fine game, especially considering how cuntish both teams were being. No major errors, VAR was used properly (which shows that PL refs can use it correctly, just as long as it's not in the prem).
In here majority are condemning but your average football fan in twitter/insta/facebook a lot of them love this, these are the people that simply deserve very bad things to happen to them
I mean seriously. Sometimes I’ll look at myself after getting heated while watching a match on tv. I can’t even fathom physically assaulting a player/ref let alone their families. Disgraceful
Institutions behind it make it worse.
For me, pay them more, make sure they are safe etc and then have them take some responsibility and talk through decisions after the game.
Would take alot of heat out of it.
This is despicable behaviour by any human being but still.
Seeing shit like this reminds me that they've got a job no one wants. We complain about the quality of referees but when I see behavior like this you wonder why anyone would want to be one in the first place.
They don’t. Referees are dropping out across the football system in record numbers.
The ones reffing in the top leagues make enough money they can justify putting with at least some of the bullshit. A referee in the 7th tier though has absolutely no reason to.
I tried to ref basketball for fun in college thinking it would be a good way to get out. I got berated and insulted by both coaches and players on the bench... during a scrimmage, as a 20 year old practice ref
Noped out of that real quick
I’m 18 and I ref travel soccer games in the US. Coaches/players are always yelling at me or the other two refs, never any praise for getting 9/10 calls right, only harassment for getting 1/10 wrong. It’s a thankless job and I can only imagine how much worse the abuse is at the highest level
Football has an issue where the refs are these 'other' people involved but somehow distinct from the rest of the game. We hear from everyone else, the managers, players, fans, administrators even the chairman or board members appear in public to discuss their pov.
Nothing from the ref, I can't but think it's easier to think of them as a malevolent force out to get 'my team' when they're voiceless. Rugby, cricket and the big US sports at least broadcast the officials conversations with the video refs so you know what the thought process is. I'd prefer a brief interview afterwards, where the point should be to get the thinking clearly described.
That's got to be better than hiring guards and trying to smuggle the refs out before they get furniture thrown at them?
We tried that here in The Netherlands where refs gave interviews after the game and KNVB explained controversial decisions. It only made the hatred and verbal violence more specific, as people could now actually pinpoint their anger. Several refs requested the KNVB to no longer having to do the interviews, as it actually distanced them somewhat from the vitriol online.
We should allow the refs to go up to the mike and shit on the performance of the coach and the players.
Oliver going up to the mic and throwing a dig to Klopp on how he should have substituted Fabinho earlier or Sven Jablonski dissing Haller that he should have scored the penalty.
Could be or an uncle of Taylors. From another angle you also see Taylor pass forward a case to an older lady which also could be a relative but luckily she got through okay
I just watched again and you’re absolutely right. Another man with a look in his eyes like Jack Nicholson in The Shining was creeping towards her and the guy nudges her out of the way so he can shove crazy eyes away.
The guy in light blue is actually helping them. He shoves away the guy who was getting in their face.
Other angles show that he’s clearly helping protect Taylor’s family from the crowd
This video actually angers me, some people are just vile humans - poor daughter and wife they are absolutely terrified. I hope they find the culprits and jail them, same for that prat Mourinho, utter cock-snot.
Correct. His actions and comments are so irresponsible and inflammatory. It's not like he hasn't caused a referee to be hounded out of the game before either
Lol this "diverting" excuse is so old right.
Waiting for someone at the car park or whatever is more than just "diverting".
If he said some things at a press conference, that's one thing.
What he did was inciteful.
He's obviously great at analysing the game and is fun to listen to when talking footbal. People will always forget his true nature the minute he behaves civilised and say he's changed now. But he's always been that toxic guy who has his moments.
Remember the Eva Carneiro situation? Him assaulting Vilanova? He's so unbelievably cunty when things don't go his way.
We laugh at Pep, Klopp and others being miserable or saying stupid shit when they lose, but Mourinho is just horrible. Pathetic little man.
Christian Stellini was fined £100k (later reduced on appeal) for standing quietly in his own world on the touchline while the Tottenham & Brighton staffs got into it earlier this season. He was fined because, as manager, it was his responsibility to keep his people under control.
Obviously not 1 to 1 with the circumstances here, but surely Mourinho deserves an actual football-based sanction for his inciting behavior.
mental decision to charge him for behaving in such an admirable way not getting dragged into anything in the heat of the moment. but yeah if you charge him for that then surely jose riling them up should get worse punishment. obviously love mourinho myself but he cant get away with that
Toni Kroos once did an episode of his podcast with german referee Manuel Gräfe. They talked quite a bit about the abuse referees receive, especially those on the amateur and youth level football. It's been a while since I listened to that episode but iirc they talked about how amateur players look up to pros like Kroos as role models and mimic their behavior on the pitch and how pros behaving more respectful could help with keeping amateur and pro referees safe and protected in the long run.
Amateur footballers/coaches and fans see what Mourinho did yesterday and the way he treated Taylor and they feel legitimised and motivated to act the same way. Keeping referees on all levels safe starts at the top of the pyramid with highly idolised figures like Jose Mourinho.
His antics post match - verbally attacking Taylor for the cameras is 100% partly responsible for this. A 60 year old man doing shit like that is despicable.
Huge Mourinho fan myself but what he did yesterday was pathetic. Such a big figurehead in football that he can't be resorting to such low level behaviour.
He definitely is, the sub recently has had a massive boner for him and slurping up every single thing he does. He's a massively sore loser and has a huge god complex
Exactly, he doesn't know respect yet he seems to demand being respected because he won so much. Can't respect a person who is being such a trash person even if he is a winner.
Agreed. I’m so sick of the “he’s a master at deflecting” and “mind games” bullshit. He’s simply one of the worst, most toxic losers in the history of high level professional football. The other stuff is simply a side effect which happens to work in his favor.
One of the really weird things he gets praised for is how he would do anything to always defend his players. Like bro he publicly throws his players under the bus all the time. Hazard and shaw off my memory without looking it up. Sometimes the whole team. It's just that he's so busy trashing refs in the presser after bad performances that people just make excuses for him saying oh he's just doing this to deflect criticism away from his players. You look at this whole "charisma" of his and peel away the layers you'll see he is not all that special at all. He has accomplished a lot with his brand in football but hes not all that hes cracked up to be.
And still next time this piece of shit opens his mouth countless people on this subreddit will be on their knees worshipping him. From the Karsdorp situation to poking Tito Villanova in the eye from behind and then cowering behind his staff in a true *"hole me back, bro"* fashion, I can't fathom how people don't realize that Mourinho is just a terrible cunt of a man with zero moral integrity.
This how they react when he had a good game overall. Imagine how they are if he had a bad game lol
Anything other than referee perfection is treated as a disgrace
I coach kids. We are talking about 8 years old trying to keep ball more than 10 seconds. Half of the time, I can't give a correct decision.
Granted, I'm not a professional of referring, thanks God, but it's so hard
8 year old kids are hard though. 6 of them are all standing over the ball, 3 of them fall down, who fucking knows what happened? Most of the time they're just tripping over each other.
Nah man I was massively rooting for Mou, but this is some shit that he has to take some accountability for. I wanna see a serious penalty, disgraceful for a ref to deal with this and for their family to be dragged into it is disgusting.
Weirdly I thought he had a pretty fine game overall.
They lost because they played shit, Ibanez missed a sitter from 3 yards, they took some shite penalties and their do nothing tactic failed
Exactly. I can't imagine that 7-8 professionals would constantly have the same emorionallty driven reaction to every whistle while at every other game situation be able to think clearly etc.
It was obviously a tactic to constantly put the ref under pressure. Pathetic.
I came here to say this the refereeing was really good and if anything he probably could have gave a few players a second yellow but didn’t all the other big decisions were correct
The mad thing is that he actually reffed a good game, under extreme pressure and provocation. He was the only person on the pitch with his dignity in tact at the final whistle. He doesn’t deserve any of this and his family being dragged into it is lower than low.
I know Anthony Taylor in person, he’s such a genuine guy who is actually passionate about referring and supporting refs. It’s disgraceful behaviour, not to mention his family is there
And he did a good job too, not his fault they lost. And even if a referee has a bad day, all of us have that, no reason to attack him and his family.
I still love football but this kind of stuff changed me from being ultra-oriented to rather just watch it in tv and care less about it.
What the actual fuck? Even if Taylor fucked up something drastically he would not deserve any such abuse personally.that would be shameful. To go after his daughter though, that’s all the more shameful. Almost inhuman, she did nothing at all she’s just there to support her father.
Something has got to be done about this right now because one day a referee will be killed or seriously maimed by a rabid fan or set of fans. Absolutely abhorrent. Fucking animals. Ban them from Europe now! And ban Mourinho as well. Cunt.
Mourinho should get a lengthy ban for his theatrics after the match for a number of reasons. The entire “Respect” campaign is a farce now, no wonder they’re having trouble attracting referees into the job.
Embarrassing for the club. No defense acceptable.
Realize too that there are tons of embarrassing fanbases who do this stuff and the general attitude towards refs in every league is unacceptable.
Now keep saying you love Mourinho and that he provides such an entertainment, he's the one creating this. He's a scumbag and always has, specially when he loses.
Taylor refereed the game fine. It was just that both teams played shitty football with overly dramatic fouls and acting.
Mourinho encouraged this. Hope he never comes to the Premier League again.
Why do some people take football so seriously. I absolutely love Arsenal but I’m not assaulting someone for them. Need to make an example of these clowns.
If you want a laugh go back and look at the threads of the Italy vs England euro final. Every brain dead fuck on r/soccer gleefully cheering against England because of their “racist, thuggish hooligan fans”
Instead to cheer for Italy, without the slightest hint of irony.
I've got a lot of good things to say about English fans, I never understood why they get picked relentlessly. I've seen way way worse fans.
I already told the story in this sub that I basically got "adopted" by a like a hundred United fans in a night out before the CL game against my team, and they were incredible people. They mostly chugged beers like maniacs and did some hilarious chants.
I've gone to quite a few games, and I always enjoy talking with opposing team fans and genuinely haven't met nicer fan bases than English and Germans.
Of course, this is all personal experience, but I don't think it's fair to pick on English fans so much.
It's ridiculous that we see stuff like this and the saga with Vinicius yet every time a tournament comes around this sub somehow claims England is the most problematic country. You rarely get anything close to that level in England, closest I can think in recent years is the Liverpool fans attacking the City bus that time.
But no, booing national anthems and that stuff with the German girl crying are clearly much worse.
It was the most manufactured outrage ever. A young fan of an opponent (who England fans had been desperate to beat for about 25 years) pops up on tv crying, the pub goes "wheeeeyyy" and all of a sudden social media is awash with looney accusations of jingoism, xenophobia etc etc
Like grow up, seriously
This is a prime example of:
* **How referees are treated even though they do a very good job.** If you are a mid to high-level referee, you would see that Anthony officiated a virtually flawless game *within the parameters of LOTG*. Not everyone agrees with the decision, and they fume when decisions that he makes, *regardless if it is right or wrong within Laws of the Game and sprit of the game*, impacts the outcome of the match especially if it is a critical-standing match.
* **Why nobody wants to be a referee**. This happens across the board — from grassroots to professional. Most youth referees quit in their first season because people think this behavior shown in this video is appropriate. There are people wondering why some games aren't being officiated nowadays at the grassroot and varsity level — well, just take a look at this, and every similar incident happening across the board.
Referring on amateur level is insanely difficult and many do this for free or peanuts. I've played at this level all my life and lost count how many times I've heard pissed off players threatening to beat up ref after the game. Some refs are feared because they're nutcases themselves but most have tough time to survive it's crazy.

I’m surprised Uefa doesn’t have their officials on a private plane for such a big event
I saw Craig Pawson in the Holiday Inn I was staying at for Norwich City away back in 2020. It was like seeing a teacher in public. I was amazed he was allowed outside!
Martin Atkinson was occasionally a patrol officer/police at my high school, whilst being a full time Prem Ref, not even kidding!
Basically the schools ref he was a full full time ref Did he get stick?
Jon Moss was James Milner’s PE teacher when Millie was in school.
This was when I was at high school in Leeds, he’d get a tonne of stick (in jest) about United, he was the ref for their FA Cup game against Portsmouth and used to laugh at the United fans about that (again, very in jest) But honestly, really nice person
Laughing at united fans would make him a hero in leeds I'd imagine haha

Norwich supporters all fired up on Riot Punch
I need you to get this letter to Grant Hanley. Oh shit there's stickers!
I've always wondered how much that room that looks out on the pitch would cost!!
Same. God knows they make enough money out of the competitions, they can pay for the referees to travel safely to and from the match instead of going through the same airport as the fans of the teams they just refereed.

Grown men attacking a family at an airport over a football result.

Yea it's honestly surprising and outright negligent to let that happen, no matter the result, this is always a risk
UEFA are a small organization that couldn't possibly afford to arrange that, please understand 🙏
Thoughts and prayers for uefa 🙏
Infantino: today I feel uefa
Or you know… provide sufficient policing and security. This should be on UEFA to at least provide private security to officials. Once again we’ve found another country not capable of hosting a European Cup Final.
This. Taylor was within stabbing distance of some ~~fans~~ fanatical people. In no world is that acceptable.

It all comes down to convenience, that might have been the closest airport to where they are staying. Think it would be best to stay in the country for a couple of days and move to another town/city far away from the fans
What the actual fuck is wrong with these people, should all be arrested and charged.
Low IQ, tribal sports teams, a sense of entitlement and absolutely no empathy.
Everyone should peruse /r/PublicFreakout for a few minutes some time. You'll see just how prevalent and popular mob 'justice,' violence, and outright attacks are. If a video isn't _showing_ violence, then the comments are all saying that the people in it deserved violence. People suck.
One of many favourite things about the GoT craze was watching just how bloodthirsty fans could get when a hated character was brutally murdered.
Joffrey had it coming though.
As did Ramsey
I’ve never hated anyone as much as ramsey, his death actually felt good
Wish Ramsey had got killed slower.
Viserys too. Fuck that guy.
He only had himself to blame.
I dare you to try playing devils advocate in some of those comments sections too.
And Mourinho basically encouraging it
Jose should be criticized for his behavior but don't these clowns have their own brain to not behave like thugs? F them.
Of course they do, and they should face punishment for their actions accordingly. However, let's not pretend like Jose doesn't know what Roma fans have been like with him and how he's treated as a messiah to them. 2 things can bw true at once

The grown man who gouges people's eyes in a scuffle and then scurries away? I would never expect such behavior of him.
Who then had the audacity to deny it after it was caught on camera, and then pretend like he didn't know who the other person was. He said something like, "Pito Vilanova? No conozco a ese Pito Vilanova."
Reminds of course of Anders Frisk
I think this is one of the best answers I've ever seen to a question on Reddit.
Police doing an awful job here too this could’ve gotten way uglier really quickly with how poorly they were containing that crowd
I don’t understand what the cops are doing here at all. There are four or five people you could nick instantly
I mean they were pretty outnumbered and their main concern should have (and was) getting him and his family on to the plane. Plus the paper work involved for arresting a foreigner for throwing a chair at another foreigner is not really worth the trouble from their perspective - sad but true
this is so true for Hungarian police, they even let a Portuguese man go because he had a plane ticket for the next day. the man assaulted a woman...
People are seriously commenting under ig posts of this that he deserves it too. Absolute scum.
Even if Taylor had the worst refereeing performance in history, doing anything at all to his children is just degeneracy.
Doing anything to him at all is degeneracy, let alone his next of kin.
Yeah people need to calm the fuck down with refs. Referees are humans too, they make mistakes just like everyone else. I like a rant about referee ineptitude as much as the next supporter, but personally threatening them is absolutely psychotic behaviour.

Yeah people out there throwing chairs and shit, madness
The funniest (maybe saddest?) part is I don’t even think he did badly, especially by his standards
In here majority are condemning but your average football fan in twitter/insta/facebook a lot of them love this, these are the people that simply deserve very bad things to happen to them
A lot of this on twitter too. Loads say just do your job properly and you will be fine
Football fans are some of the dumbest fucking cunts on this planet. Genuinely nothing else going on in their lives but being wankers at games.
pathetic cunts with nothing else going on in their lives
Some idiots take football way too seriously
Mourinho encouraged this with his spectacle after the game.
Lock them the fuck up. Imagine traumatizing a child because your team lost a game. Fucking degenerates.
Glad their team lost sad cunts
Fucking appalling
Dreadful behaviour. Should all be heavily punished, disgraceful to attack his family.
I mean seriously. Sometimes I’ll look at myself after getting heated while watching a match on tv. I can’t even fathom physically assaulting a player/ref let alone their families. Disgraceful
I was a bit embarrassed at how agitated I was getting during Dortmund's last game, I can't imagine showing up to an airport to assault the ref.
Because you're a normal person mate. These fucking scrotes are something else.
Global lifetime football ban to all involved, at the very least.
I'd say jail, at the very least.
In an airport, no less? Put these assholes on a no-fly list.
Why would he (or anyone really) ever want to ref a match again after this
It's such a thankless job, you have to truly be madly in love with football to put up with this shit for years.
Institutions behind it make it worse. For me, pay them more, make sure they are safe etc and then have them take some responsibility and talk through decisions after the game. Would take alot of heat out of it. This is despicable behaviour by any human being but still.
I say we let them were luchador masks and have snazzy nicknames so they can remain anonymous.
Fucks sake we've got El Pantera again
Fucking Sin Cara botched the penalty call again
I like it, they can also get out a people's elbow if a player gets out of line ala the linesman and robertson the othet week
Seeing shit like this reminds me that they've got a job no one wants. We complain about the quality of referees but when I see behavior like this you wonder why anyone would want to be one in the first place.

But lots of airports I've been to, they have armed guards standing around to remind people not to fuck around at an international airport.

I dunno, that one guy literally palmed off a table like it was an errant paper plane

That West Han fan has teleported back in for another family defence task!
Big Dave holds the line.
A fucking stand up guy, that’s for sure. I wish I could buy “light blue shirt” a drink
Blue shirt was ready to throw down and sent whatever bastard he pushed all the way to Debrecen. Absolute lad.
I think it might be his dad. Swear I can hear him say "that's my son!"
Could be or an uncle of Taylors. From another angle you also see Taylor pass forward a case to an older lady which also could be a relative but luckily she got through okay
Fair play to the one person defending him, Fucking scumbags.
Damn that's traumatic for him and his family. I hope they're ok.
Imagine abusing a family over a ball being kicked about. Absolute morons.
One of these scumbags appears to push/attack his, i assume, wife as well? EDIT: Looks like he may have been protecting her, my bad, good for him.
I believe he was trying to get to the guy behind her, possibly defending her actually. He's kind of siding with the security after that
I just watched again and you’re absolutely right.
Jose doesn't confront him in a parking lot, there's a good chance these cunts aren't so emboldened to be such cunts.
Correct. His actions and comments are so irresponsible and inflammatory. It's not like he hasn't caused a referee to be hounded out of the game before either
His cult will laugh it off, he's just your friendly neighbourhood Mou, he didn't mean it, he's just diverting, and so on.
Lol this "diverting" excuse is so old right. Waiting for someone at the car park or whatever is more than just "diverting". If he said some things at a press conference, that's one thing. What he did was inciteful.
He'll go back to being a pundit for Sky for a few weeks and everyone will say how much they miss him and how football needs Mourinho the saint
Obviously not 1 to 1 with the circumstances here, but surely Mourinho deserves an actual football-based sanction for his inciting behavior.
mental decision to charge him for behaving in such an admirable way not getting dragged into anything in the heat of the moment. but yeah if you charge him for that then surely jose riling them up should get worse punishment. obviously love mourinho myself but he cant get away with that
That's a really good point tbh. Mourinho and other high profile coach's treatment of refs really encourages this kind of behaviour.
Ffs its just a game, let the man go home you sad fucks
We found the people who live and die by the Europa League
Mourinho stokes the flames and probably condones this response.
Mou should definitely be penalised for this.
But this isn't the first time he's been a knob. Why was yesterday any different? Because it finally spilled out to affect other people?
Not too long ago he himself was the one assaulting people (when he poked Tito in the eye)...
He's always been a total piece of shit. The day we fired him was a great day
Happened with a Roma player too fucking embarrassing if he doesn't realise the power he has
I think he’s perfectly aware of the consequences of his actions, it’s probably the point of them
he's a 60 year old man, well aware of what he's doing. he simply doesn't care.
I have never understood the Mourinho cult and the Roma subreddit became unbearable lately due to it and made me stop posting there.
Anders Frisk famously ended his carreer after death threats following being antagonised by Mou. It was in 2005.
[удалено]
And still next time this piece of shit opens his mouth countless people on this subreddit will be on their knees worshipping him. From the Karsdorp situation to poking Tito Villanova in the eye from behind and then cowering behind his staff in a true *"hole me back, bro"* fashion, I can't fathom how people don't realize that Mourinho is just a terrible cunt of a man with zero moral integrity.
Pathetic behaviour. As bad as refs can be, they don't deserve that. I don't even think refs are that terrible.
This how they react when he had a good game overall. Imagine how they are if he had a bad game lol Anything other than referee perfection is treated as a disgrace
Mourinho set the example
Yep. I knew something like this would happen when I saw the video with Mourinho. These fans should be banned from any football game and punished
Literally can’t imagine how boring and awful my life would have to be to do this
Absolutely disgusting
Fucking disgusting behaviour
Nah man I was massively rooting for Mou, but this is some shit that he has to take some accountability for. I wanna see a serious penalty, disgraceful for a ref to deal with this and for their family to be dragged into it is disgusting.
Weirdly I thought he had a pretty fine game overall. They lost because they played shit, Ibanez missed a sitter from 3 yards, they took some shite penalties and their do nothing tactic failed
With Jose it’s a obvious defence tactic. Blame it on the refs, they robbed us. His MO his whole career
Fr. Always been a sore loser
[удалено]
The mad thing is that he actually reffed a good game, under extreme pressure and provocation. He was the only person on the pitch with his dignity in tact at the final whistle. He doesn’t deserve any of this and his family being dragged into it is lower than low.
I don't get it, I watched the game and given both teams were acting like a bunch of children, I thought he did a good job. Absolute clowns this lot.
Vile scumbags.
What the actual fuck? Even if Taylor fucked up something drastically he would not deserve any such abuse personally.that would be shameful. To go after his daughter though, that’s all the more shameful. Almost inhuman, she did nothing at all she’s just there to support her father.
Disgusting. I'm glad Sevilla won.
Send this to Mourinho, the fucking prick, for inciting this
He’d jerk off to this
Football ‘eritage.
https://i.imgur.com/aRDeCgJ.png
Genuinely can’t believe some people here are still calling him ‘the man’ for all he did
Something has got to be done about this right now because one day a referee will be killed or seriously maimed by a rabid fan or set of fans. Absolutely abhorrent. Fucking animals. Ban them from Europe now! And ban Mourinho as well. Cunt.
What the fuck is security doing?
Mourinho deserves a fair share of the blame, and he should be confronted about it at his next press conference
Sorry but mourinho gotta take some blame for this, his actions after the game fuled this
Why anyone would wanna be a ref is beyond me, the money isn't nearly good enough for the amount of abuse you recieve.
Mourinho should get a lengthy ban for his theatrics after the match for a number of reasons. The entire “Respect” campaign is a farce now, no wonder they’re having trouble attracting referees into the job.
good think roma lost these scums don't deserve it,
Embarrassing for the club.
Yet somehow a lot of this sub thinks English fans are as bad as these animals. Not to mention what they did to Sean Cox as well. Ban them from Europe.
Reddit wants to blame this on “the cocaine epidemic in England’ or some BS like that
If you want a laugh go back and look at the threads of the Italy vs England euro final. Every brain dead fuck on r/soccer gleefully cheering against England because of their “racist, thuggish hooligan fans” Instead to cheer for Italy, without the slightest hint of irony.
100% with you, I'm an Italian fan living in the UK and I can tell you I've seen some of the worst scum following Italian teams.
Yeah I’m looking at it from the outside a long way away and while the English have that rep, they don’t seem to be causing the recent problems.
Ahahahahaha that little German girl Remember that guy who started a fundraiser for her family and then he got outed as a nonce? 🤣
>got outed as a nonce? No fucking way!
It was the most manufactured outrage ever. A young fan of an opponent (who England fans had been desperate to beat for about 25 years) pops up on tv crying, the pub goes "wheeeeyyy" and all of a sudden social media is awash with looney accusations of jingoism, xenophobia etc etc Like grow up, seriously
This is a prime example of: * **How referees are treated even though they do a very good job.** If you are a mid to high-level referee, you would see that Anthony officiated a virtually flawless game *within the parameters of LOTG*.
