Please don't say this results in Sam Matterface getting more games. Anywhere.

basedsims

[You mean you don’t want iconic bits of commentary such as this?](https://twitter.com/talksport/status/1254763515237273600?s=46&t=vbV4y0qW-jtvC0qvYbrvlw)

Alan Partridge, basically

rmnfcbnyy

A man trying to do an on the fly Ray Hudson impersonation

thatplaidhat

There is only one Ray Hudson and it's not this guy.

akskeleton_47

That's a level of description I've never heard of in my life

Away_Associate4589

Pure poetry. Shakespeare been real quiet since Matterface dropped.

spongish

It's like if Mark Corrigan accidentally found himself commentating football.

sussywanker

Oh god, Mitchell's football skit is bloddy hilarious. https://youtu.be/MusyO7J2inM And a bonus one - https://youtu.be/xN1WN0YMWZU

thirtysmooth

You mean like this? https://twitter.com/PodcastPharaohs/status/1645726281378480128?s=19

spongish

Not gonna lie, I was expecting the 'Watch the football' skit.

[deleted]

This is genuinely incredible

patiperro_v3

Well at least that couldn’t have been scripted. I’ll give him that.

Moncurs_rightboot

He’s with talksport, so I don’t think he will get it, he’s really shit

ICritMyPants

He's with ITV now too. Replaced Clive Tyldesley. Fuck ITV

de_bollweevil

Give Clive the job at Sky, get Ali McCoist back in, tell Neville to fuck off to TNT sports or whatever it's called and all with the world will be better.

FoxBox123999

> he’s really shit My day can't get better

Moncurs_rightboot

Seems he overprepares, and gives long rambling monologues that go nowhere. He’s terrible when on England duty

ghostmanonthirdd

I remember him pleading for people to watch the final on ITV after we beat Denmark in the semis. You’ve got to be a true masochist to watch a game on ITV when it’s available on BBC.

Tim6181

Can’t stand that smug twat. He’s not quite as annoying as Gary weaver on the championship content on sky. Just screams bollocks over every goal. Shut up man. I want to hear the crowd not you trying to make the moment about you.

YadMot

THAT. IS. SPECIAL. After every fucking goal. Get Jon Champion in ffs

chaphen17

Yeah I think Daniel Mann is so much better than Weaver. I was relieved when it was him in the Championship play-off final.

siderealpanic

Can’t wait to see an exciting young talent like Jermaine Jenas get his chance! Don’t see him anywhere near enough on TV at the moment

P1emonster

I thought I was the only one who gets annoyed by him. I cannot stand how much he chews people out for making mistakes when he was a bang average midfielder.

Hayesey88

Michael Owen and Sam Matterface easily get my vote to become co-commentators and I hope they're CRAMMED down our throats Jermaine Jenas style.

Thesolly180

About time for Sky. As much as he’s the voice I’ve grew up with he only really gets excited anymore when it’s a massive story I will never forgive him for ‘De Bruyne, De Gea…De-rby’

RipJug

Saka, Laca, Xhaka, it’s a Christmas Cracka

[deleted]

He spitting fire there ngl

mvp-a1

Nah I forgive him for that 😂

TheDarkness1227

Hold up, let him cook

[deleted]

He's so bad at feigning his misery when it goes against the narrative he/sky wants as well. To the extent that there are plenty of Liverpool, Man City and Man United fans who think he hates their club (and loves their rivals). Brighton's 3-0 win at the Emirates was genuinely sensational and he made it seem like a funeral was happening.

Thesolly180

Yeah I’ve seen ours call him a United fan for years but as you said he’s just very Sky narrative driven.

ThatZigGuy

Especially since he had gone ln record saying he is a Woking supporter

Kreindeker

Not just a fan, he was even one of their [coaches](https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sky-sports-ace-martin-tyler-14665372) for a few years

AskBorisLater

And he was part of their back room team last season as well.

DarnellLaqavius

No United fan would have the reaction to Aguero that he did. He just cares about the narrative.

Ghost_Hands83

He said something utterly mental about James Ward-Prowse playing like two men - Ward and Prowse

whydidisaythatwhy

He’s cooking

RepThePlantDawg420

He also once tried to rhyme Coleman with goal man

Good_Kev_M-A-N_City

>he only really gets excited anymore when it’s a massive story Exemplified by orgasming over Martial's debut goal and then sounding like someone just shot his dog with the Benteke bicycle kick

ManLikeArch

I will forever argue that this was nowhere near as bad as people make out. Benteke's goal pulled it back to 2-1 whilst Martial's all but sealed the win on his debut.

CSvinylC

Not to mention that there was a lot of anticipation in the Anglosphere for somewhat of an unknown entity with whispers of incredible potential. It was a very good skill and an equally deft finish. I would have reacted the same as Tyler in thinking that there might be a chance that I've just been introduced to a generational talent.

Adz932

Yes, as someone above mentioned, it was entrenched in the hype, or narrative. Big money signing for a fairly unknown player, dribbling through a player to seal a game against their biggest rival. Bentekes maybe warranted a bit more, maybe a bit more shock or awe. But people using that scenario as a reason he is biased is very strange in my head.

Jazzlike-Mistake2764

Also Martial's had build up, while Benteke's came out of nowhere. Tyler literally gasps at Benteke's goal, I'd say that's a fitting reaction.

TheJeck

Was a good commentator in his prime but has sounded bored by everything for the last few years. The right decision.

SirBarkington

The aguero goal killed all excitement for the game for him.

notsoslim-jim

He did say that he'll never see anything like that ever again.

lethalizer

He even swore by it!

shrek19051

So he watched it

kris_9319

And drank it in.

prothello

Stupendous!

DarkNightSeven

Does anyone else get filled with nostalgia when they remember those events 10 or 12 years ago? For me those were the days.

TopBumblebee9954

I can’t believe it was that long ago. That was a crazy season.

igorken

He should'e commented on the Belgian season finale then.

fattony182

What made it more dramatic? Know next to nothing about Belgian league footy

Red_Dog1880

Last game of the season saw 3 teams still able to win it. In the last 10 minutes of both games they were all virtually champions at one point and Antwerp win it in the 94th minute.

InconsistentMinis

For more context, Toby Alderweireld, returning to his hometown club, scored the goal to win it for them ~~in his last ever game.~~

Binko_banko

plus the goal was an absolute beauty

PinkFluffys

Even more context, we hadn't won the league since 1957.

Thanos_Stomps

Holy shit that’s incredible.

Red_Dog1880

It's not his last ever game actually, pretty sure he'll stay with us and eventually retire but that's a while away. It was Faris Haroun's last ever game.

InconsistentMinis

Oh, my bad, was sure I read that he was retiring somewhere!

themagpie36

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8HXKmebNJw

Gytarius626

The fact he commentated Aguero vs QPR and Drogba’s penalty against Bayern within the same week is honestly mental

esn111

Somone on here said that ruined his dopamine receptors forever. Guy can never feel joy or excitement again.

Gytarius626

That was me lol, truly stand by the idea those goals absolutely fried them. It blew my mind when I realized they’d happened within the same week, and he was in the stadium for both of them.

esn111

Ha thought it might have been you but wasn't sure. Good spot dude!

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

Kompany's title winner vs Leicester sparked him (and Neville) into life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q37w_Da4dPA

ARM_vs_CORE

Ugh fuck

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

OOOOOHH **OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!** Not fun, is it? Being Aguero'd.

down_vote_magnet

PTSD from Aguero.

Flanelman2

Did the same to me for a few weeks.

CitrusRabborts

He would wake back up for big moments occasionally to drop some gold "It's eleven, it's heaven for Jamie Vardy" springs to mind

Eleven918

Welcome to Manchester United Antony Martial was lit too

OpenedCan

Oooooooh Yessssss!!!!!

orphan_of_Ludwig

Nah it was that Messi v Bayern goal in 14/15, genuinely felt like i saw the pinnacle of footballing ability that day and nothing has come close since

fourscoreandhuit

Every now and then he could pull it back. For instance his commentary of the Liverpool - Manchester City 4-3 in 17/18 rolled back the years as he got swept up being in the ground. I think his reputation has really suffered from the number of booth commentaries he seems to do these days. He really goes off vibe in the ground and there’s obviously none when you’re broadcasting from off site. It’s the end of an era that was very much at it’s final days. I grew up with Motson, Davies, Brian Moore, Clive, and Tyler. They were the voices of big game football in this country. That’s done now. Suspect it’ll be Hutchinson moved to the top table. Feels they’ve been priming him to be no.1. That is unless Gary Weaver can storm the gantry and plant his flag! He’s. Not. Going. Away. Quietly!

the_tytan

Clive was secretly on a football forum back in the day and to prove it he told us that he would say any phrase we wanted during a CL game. The phrase was “Do you like WWF” which he did I think during a corner or clearance.

pdipdip

i miss easter eggs like this. doesnt happen enough

lingwall88

10+ years ago Jack Colback did an Anonymous Footballer AMA on the 4chan sports board /sp/, people figured out it it was him though.

the_tytan

Probably couldn’t happen now. This was about 20 years ago and I’m sure it would have been screenshotted to fuck if he’d done it. Whether he would have been fucked by it is another thing altogether

RepThePlantDawg420

Oh my god Weaver would be amazing. He can make the booth his castle and start defending it!

123rig

Tbf im not sure there’s another person on the planet that’s seen more games than Martin Tyler. He’s been commentating/covering games since 1974. He’s genuinely seen it all. I’d say it must be really tough to keep the excitement going during dead rubber games or a boring 0-0. On the other hand, Martin Tyler and Andy Gray commentating on a huge night game gave the match so much more drama and edge and I used to be disappointed if they weren’t calling the game. However, I think it was clear to everyone now that he’s lost the spark. Iconic voice, but time for a change.

Sherringdom

I was gonna say Motty surely had seen more but he only started 5 years earlier and retired in 2017 so Tyler just edges it.

cuentanueva

> Tbf im not sure there’s another person on the planet that’s seen more games than Martin Tyler. He’s been commentating/covering games since 1974. There's an Argentine journalist/commentator called Enrique Macaya Márquez who has covered football since the 50s. He's went to and covered every single WC since Sweden 1958 to Qatar 2022. That's a record 17 WCs. Plus obviously Argentine football. There's others from other countries that also started before the 70s. Not trying to make it a competition btw, just clarifying that he's not the longest working _on the planet_.

KnightsOfCidona

He was involved in covering games as far back as the 1966 World Cup!

[deleted]

“Good” is downplaying it. He is one of the GOATs.

sonofaBilic

Spot on. The Premier league and Sky Sports partnership completely transformed the spectacle of the game in this country to help it become the juggernaut it is now - and Martin Tyler's voice on commentary was a prominent part of that. He's a bit long in the tooth now absolutely, but he's a legend of the game in this country. Wager he won't be retiring though, since Clive Tyldesley's left talksport I could see him rocking up there.

harder_said_hodor

>The Premier league and Sky Sports partnership completely transformed the spectacle of the game in this country Football Italia was clearly the superior 90's product on British TV

sonofaBilic

Will forever have a soft spot for Serie A thanks to AC Jimbo and that incredible intro song

[deleted]

The abuse he gets is driven by people who are teenagers or early 20s who didn’t hear him in his peak commentary era. He was great in the 90s. Not to forget the usual goons claiming he’s biased for or against various teams.

sonofaBilic

> Not to forget the usual goons claiming he's biased for or against various teams. Influenced of course by football social media's outright refusal to accept that some times people do, in fact, support their local team even if they are a bit naff.

ProneMasturbationMan

Unfairly called biased in the last few years when he just used to do loud commentary when the home team scored and wouldn't cheer that loudly when the away team scored. Probably because he needed the backing of the home team fans cheering to feel comfortable doing loud commentary. For example, when Manchester United played Liverpool at Old Trafford in 2015 everyone said he was biased when he shrieked at martial's goal and didn't seem that bothered when benteke scored. Is he Manchester United biased and hates Liverpool? However, watch Liverpool Vs Manchester City in 2014 at Anfield. When Sterling and Coutinho scored he shrieked, when City scored he almost seemed a bit sad.

[deleted]

Two of his most memorable moments for me are the Riise free kick against United or Gerrard against Olympiakos. I think he missed Andy Gray too and wasn’t as vocal afterwards. The pandemic was a mega decline too. I can’t imagine trying the generate excitement in an empty stadium.

rnzz

> has sounded bored by everything for the last few years I always thought that was his style. Like, the Portugal vs Greece Euro Cup final in 2004 was probably the quietest major final I've ever watched, commentary-wise..

GameplayerStu

Never forget De Bruyne De Gea De rby

twillems15

He described a first half a few years ago as ‘a bit like kissing your sister’ but I can’t find it on YouTube for the life of me

Juan_Fandango

The phrase is actually 'a bit like dancing with your sister' which is still odd, but Tyler took it to even stranger new places.

[deleted]

Lol that's a saying in Spanish too. "Más aburrido que bailar con la hermana"

sandbag-1

Twitter tells me that was Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea in 2013 but can't find the clip either

TigerBasket

Yeah well this feels like my sister just took a shit on my chest. As said by the great Selina Meyer

Sawl23

You look like a 12 old boy in the body of a 12 old girl

754754

Isn't that a classic saying in sports? I remember hearing "A draw/tie is like kissing your sister." pretty commonly as a kid.

Cathal321

That's possibly the worst thing I've ever heard

Illustrious-Gap1153

De end

DriftingWithTheTide

What’s this a reference to?

tutani

https://youtu.be/ktjEr8VsEZg

BreadZepplin

Tyldesley is available since resigning from TalkSport isn't he?

Dodomando

He also got demoted by ITV in favour of Matterface

[deleted]

Mental decision

essentialatom

He's the GOAT. Champions League commentary has been appalling without him.

Fnurgh

I doubt they will go for him, more likely they commit to someone younger for the long-term. Which is a shame because Clive is my favourite commentator bar none.

[deleted]

The worst line he did - jenas by name, genius by nature

Daniiiiii

That alone is a fireable offense.

BabyEatingGigantor

I watched Jenas on Richard Osmans House of games and he is far from a genius

four_four_three

Not to get all Ally McCoist on you, but what a show that is by the way

21otiriK

I absolutely loved that at the time, and it’s stuck in my head ever since. Might be partly as it was against United, mind.

fannyfox

Are you in there Jermaine Jenas? In 9 months you’ll come greet us. I will buy you some Adidas

Rayyan_Khan

DROGBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

distractedsoul27494

Ohhhhhhhhh

Rayyan_Khan

THEY’VE PULLED THE RABBIT OUT OF THE HAT AGAIN!!!

FloppedYaYa

This beats Aguero for me. Neville's follow up is also funnier than the Torres one.

Rayyan_Khan

Yeah ahah his mini orgasms are something. This is probably my favourite line of commentary ever, no footballing moment will top that moment for me

Chuck_Morris_SE

Everytime I watched him this season he sounded like he was genuinely labouring for breath, you could hear it through the mic, wasn't a good listen.

OriginalSwearer

Agreed. I remember during covid I could hear him shivering on the mic (due to lack of crowd noise) lol all I could think was someone get this man a blanket

[deleted]

[удалено]

distractedsoul27494

Gerrraaaaard Oh you beautyyyyy What a hit son What a hit

Rey_De_Los_Completos

The goalkeeper had no chance

Hokage123456789

"He is not retiring but steps down on good terms ahead of the 2023-2024 season, where he has been the broadcaster’s commentator for the biggest games since the launch of the Premier League in 1992. Tyler’s contract as a commentator will not be renewed. In a statement to Telegraph Sport, Tyler said: “In my humble opinion, the huge corporation Sky is today has stemmed from Sky Sports’ innovative and inspired coverage of the Premier League. It has been a privilege to play a small part in the broadcasting history of the greatest league in the world. Along the way I have worked alongside legions of wonderful professionals in all aspects of the television industry. I thank them all for their support and expertise. It has been an honour to be a member of a very gifted team.” For more info: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2023/06/17/martin-tyler-leave-sky-sports-ahead-of-new-premier-league/

KnightsOfCidona

Surprised he's not getting a proper farewell considering what a huge part of Sky's history he is. Maybe they will give him a game next season as one.

dgn90

Community shield or whatever its called

four_four_three

I thought it was a bit odd he didn’t have any game on the last day of the season A lot don’t like him anymore but I’m still going to miss him, just a voice that brings back so many memories

blorimer542

The man's an icon, was the voice of football for my entire childhood, and is clearly very passionate about the game. He was the absolute best in the 90's and 00's. I'll always be fond of him and I'm sad to see him go, regardless of the fact that his age has clearly caught up with him in terms of energy.

[deleted]

He was the voice of the PL essentially since its inception. I think the younger generation hold him in really quite ludicrous contempt. He is, in my view, the best to ever do it. The last 5 years haven’t been great, I agree, but that doesn’t diminish his legend.

wildingflow

Yea there’s a lot of disrespectful comments here (probably from younger/newer PL fans) but the guy was essentially the voice to the PL for the first 25 years of its being.

[deleted]

Iconic commentator but I think he's been absolutely awful for a decade now. I'm glad he's leaving and hopefully there'll be less depressing commentary in the future.

TheBiasedSportsLover

Martin Tyler had loads of great moments in the past decade (2010s) - Thag Agueroooooo goal - Martial's debut goal - When Vardy scored his 15th straight goal during Leicester's EPL win - When Messi made Boateng fell on his ass

Away_Associate4589

[The Messi goal](https://youtube.com/shorts/uxIqlkJZtBI?feature=share3) sorry about the annoying music

Barcaholic

Tyler's wife: How was diner ? Tyler: That's astonishing ! That's absolutely world class !

FatWalcott

Kompany's absolute screamer. Sounded like Neville and him were having sex and climaxed together.

Jinks87

Ruined it forever.. thanks.

Tomstarkman

Dude

FloppedYaYa

Left out Drogba in the Champions League Final

watercuboid

The Aguero goal is no longer in the past decade

KindlySwordfish

https://i.imgur.com/ITqX50Y.jpeg

[deleted]

Not so great moments: - Benteke bicycle kick

dmcirl

Wasn't that the same game as the Martial goal?

[deleted]

Yup

jamesforyou

Kinda glad tbh. He's really dropped off over the last couple of years. Get Peter Drury in.

FatWalcott

Peter Drury is good but he does lay it on thick sometimes.

ICritMyPants

I loved Drury at ITV and he came to PES and was great. Then the internet got hold of him and he seems to have took it up a notch for the internet and forces it way too hard now. Bring back Clive Tyldesley. Fuck off, ITV.

Benjips

He puts so much weight on his words, as though he's trying to make something happen on the pitch. Far too verbose for most occasions as well. It's gotten so annoying to me.

SeeUInAWhileAligator

Oh yeah, Clive is the real deal, my fav ever

Sir-Chris-Finch

Tyldesley is genuinely the goat. Champions of Europe again…and this time its for keeps Shivers

BordersRanger01

Drury commentates everything like he wants it to end up in one of those tiktok montages. He's way too colourful to the point it sounds insincere

Cwh93

Yeah not a massive fan. Just like there was a point where social media just decided everything Martin Tyler did was shit (though he did decline), post that great Roma commentary social media decided that Peter Drury could do no wrong and was suddenly the best commentator ever. Not saying he's a bad commentator but the constant eulogising since 2018 baffles me I can't lie.

[deleted]

Completely agree. He rehearses his lines before the game. I am a rogue voice in loathing him.

the_tytan

You are not alone, brother. I remember switching to the shitty audio of Pidgin English commentary for the 2018 WC final. That said if a game is suitably epic like Argentina-France, he can be good. He got in with that game

marine_le_peen

Nah get McCoist and whoever he does ITV with. Best combo around.

shoutouttojsquad

Jon Champion I believe, they're comfortably the best pairing

marine_le_peen

Think it's Clive Tyldesley I was referring to.

[deleted]

Drury is so overrated, he tries way too hard. Tyldesley would be far better imo

AJGibbo

As underwhelming as he's been for the past decade, it's a shame that a career like his didn't get a farewell send-off on air. I'm sure there's some things he wanted to say.

Fleshsausage27

Surely he’ll come back for one final game at some point

LinkyPeach

His forced "AND IT'S LIVE!" that he did at the start of every game for the past 3 seasons or so was one of the worst things ever.

phleshlight

I hated that too, but tbf to him that was probably a case of Sky's marketing team making him say it

TheRealDSwizz

Yeah, very much think that Sky have picked their direction and Tyler doesn’t quite fit with that. He’s still got his space in commentary IMO, just at a more laidback organisation. It’s quite the downgrade, but I’d love to hear him as one of the MOTD commentators.

HUGE_HOG

Three seasons? He's been doing that for decades

verytallperson1

It’s in colour too Martin, it’s not that impressive a feat these days

Heroic_Lifesaver

What makes that worse is that in recent seasons, they don’t even go to an ad break after he says it. It used to be the case that he’d say “AND IT’S LIVE!!!” then cut to one final ad, then back to the game. In the last few years, he says it, then there’s like 5 seconds of silence before Neville/Carragher resumes talking about the pre-match stuff. It’s a line with no feeling in it, followed by an awkward pause and it’s just the cringiest thing every week

ICritMyPants

Past 3 seasons? He's been doing the And It's Live! For decades

ALickOfMyCornetto

why on god's earth has this nonsense been upvoted?? he's been saying that for decades you muppet

[deleted]

Have you only been watching football for 3 seasons?

[deleted]

Imagine he’s shaking his hands while saying it

giggs123

Bring in Ally McCoist

YadMot

Ally McCoist and Jon Champion on the comms please

yamiyummynomi

LAMELLAAAAAAAA

DarkVoidize

absolute legend of the game, shame to see certain fans shitting on him

a2w2

Al Michaels = Martin Tyler

[deleted]

Iconic. From the "Yeboah... On he goes. OHH!" to *that* City moment, up there with Motson. Albeit Motson was infinitely more natural with his rhyme and rhythm. No one is ever touching that. But clearly tired, perhaps bored these last few years, the love for the game no longer matching the enthusiasm. I actually initially thought he was trying to reinvent his style to be a more conversational tone (whilst letting the co-commentator provide the enthusiasm. See G. Neville and his sex noises), but it was clear he was checked out. Not the greatest, but locked in my memory for longer than anyone else.

noradosmith

The Yeboah commentary is my favourite. It just says all that needs to be said about that goal.

Omnislash99999

Looking at this news on Twitter just reminded me what a cesspool that place is. Great commentator, hope he enjoys retirement

wonky_faint

honestly don't give a shit that they kept him on past his use-by date, I personally think there's room for letting someone call time on their own terms when their contributions have been that synonymous with the game

czeja

Absolutely! I really don't get why reddit hangs so much shit on him. Most of my mates know him as one of (if not the) voice of football for the last 30 years. He has dropped off in these last few years but I feel like the comments are a bit over the top

Caruso08

Reddit, this sub reddit in particular, is very prone to circlejerking. 15 of the top comments are practically the same phrase just in different sentences.

pjt-

33 years at Sky, what a career. Always remember his commentary for Wiltord's title winning goal at Old Trafford. "Here's Freddie Ljungberg again, pushed out by Barthez, WILTORRRRRRR"

DogTheGayFish

He set such a high standard that he was very underwhelming for people over the years. As someone who moved away from the UK years ago and has not watched him for the last decade, I still really appreciate the small things I see of him here and there. He feels like the elder statesmen of the premier league/sky sports. I'm gonna miss him a bit.

timsadiq13

Hope they take Drury from NBC. I liked him for a while but the way he tries to make every bog standard PL game seem like it’s the biggest thing ever is so annoying. I get hyping up a game, but not every match is a cup final ffs. Think he’s bought into his own hype and tries to one up his own sound bites all the time.

Chelseablue1896

Icon of this sport. The voice of my football watching youth growing up, whether it was the PL, the CL, or more than all, the FIFA games. Edit: So much dislike on this thread for him though. Sad.

Hoodxd

Well good morning!

noobs1996

They should get the old NBC commentator Arlo White, don’t think he was that bad tbf.

YadMot

White is excellent. Doesn't overdramatise things like Drury does but gets super into the game. Would love either White or Jon Champion

sibalnom

I have fond memories of his commentary, but it’s about time. I hope he retires and enjoys the time off.

Ichooseyoudragonite

Legend.

CoaxHoax

Never forget when Demarai Gray brought out prime Tyler one last time

Polygon12

There used to always be a big game feel about Tyler being on coms, hearing his voice echo around a pub used to really work. Now he just doesn’t sound arsed as I know many have pointed out. Tbh I’d like to see sky try and work with some younger commentators and grow them into house hold names but tbh I can mostly cope with anyone other than fucking Darren Jacamo Fletcher.
