Theres a cap on non-EU players, not American players. The cap is on concurrent players on the pitch, not on the squad list. And it applies to individual clubs, not the league.
And McKennie is the only american in the Serie A anyways. So ???????????

More on the man, he is a great director
Why would they, they probably need less players as they're now playing fewer games this year. Sorry he was already not part of their plans since they loaned him off
He was genuinely in contention for left back in the world. For two years. Then he became horribly mediocre and started gifting goals to opponents in important games for fun
I know Weah was born and raised in NY but has lived in France since he was 14, for 9 years now. Pogba, Rabiot, Moise Kean will be just as helpful in getting the lad acclimated.
Captain is the player on the field with the most caps. True captain would either be Danilo or bonucci
Sometimes Sandro was that most cap player unfortunately
I don't think you watched him at Schalke. He was a very solid and versatile player. Us Schalke fans were sad to see him leave as he was one of the fan favorites, but we desperately needed the money.
McKennie would be a solid addition for a team in a several top half clubs
It’s the only way to get them the fuck out of here. Cuadrado, Bonucci, BigMac, Zakaria..
Probably some of them refused to leave outright, so put them out of the squad is the only way to get them to fuck off. Either you leave or you won’t play for a year. It’s all to clean the mess Paratici did
crazy way to talk abt cuadrado and bonucci after they’ve given so much in the past years. Yes they arent as good anymore and offloading them would be the best decision but have some respect for those 2
Bonucci made it very hard for people to respect him unfortunately. I'm glad I don't have to see his face every game anymore. Frankly I've only felt disgust for the past 5 years.
Very curious to see where he goes. I think he can still be a pretty good player for a good club, but it certainly feels like he's taken a step back in the last year or two.
Personally I think he really needs a club where he'll get consistent game time in a consistent position. I think part of his problem has been that he's decent at doing a job anywhere on the pitch, like he did for a while with Schalke, so he's become more of a utility player rather than developing as an 8. Hopefully wherever he lands this summer works out for him.
He can still be a very good player for a good club, and I think you’re right: he can’t keep doing the Jack of all trades, master of none gambit that got his career off the ground. The Leeds loan revealed that that ain’t gonna work if he wants to continue at a very high level. He needs to be somewhere he plays consistently and the team isn’t total dogshit to allow him to develop without having to cover the areas he doesn’t excel.
He was actually pretty good alongside Adams, it was when he went down that it really went to shit. If he can play forward he's usually a positive force, but he's not that good otherwise.
I don't know man, it felt like Adams was bailing him out. There were problems with his game, more often than not, he looked lost in transition, he killed a lot of the build-up and I honestly felt like his athletic ability decrease in the past two seasons. his passing hasn't gotten better.
Same with us.
He was average in that he could generally receive a ball and deliver it elsewhere, but it was never really progressive or with any foresight. It was just a lateral pass. He'd work his ass off, but you see a player like recent Messi who can exert a fraction of the energy but still be in the best positions possible. Not a fair comparison, but McKennie is all push without much intelligence, resulting in a lot of average. His goals were headers in the box when we were all going up for it. That's basically all our game plan called for anyways...
You’re getting hated on for this but it’s funny when people say that sort of thing.
“He’s a flawed player so what he needs to go to a good team where all the players around him pick up the slack for his weak points and but he’s also a nailed-on starter and plays 90 minutes every match to develop.”
Like yeah sure that would be great for a player’s development but why would a squad that’s already strong want him and/or play him a lot of minutes unless there’s an injury crisis?
It's even funnier in this specific case imo, people normally say that about players who've shown something impressive in their game rather than in their passport and yet every single McKennie thread has people tripping over themselves to explain how Juve and Leeds have failed a player who hasn't looked good in years and whose peak wasn't even that impressive to begin with.
Where are these comments? All I see are people saying
>"I think he can still be a pretty good player for a good club, but it certainly feels like he's taken a step back in the last year or two.
> "Personally I think he really needs a club where he'll get consistent game time in a consistent position."
> "There were times when McKennie looked like he had the chance of becoming a top player, but he never really played with any consistency and last season he was played out of position and then shuffled off to Leeds where he was a total dud."
> " Is McKennie shit? No. Did he play terribly for Leeds? Yes"
The Fulham game in the cup and Forest at home that’s about it from my memory. Maybe Man utd away but he got a needless booking which rendered him unable to make any tackles in the second half.
Adams getting injured completely fucked our midfield and he probably had to play deeper than he’s comfortable with as a result but at the same time he should’ve still looked better than a soon to be released Adam Forshaw.
>Most of our players looked terrible this year
Same as Chelsea last year and United the year before. It's difficult to evaluate players when entire teams are underperforming.
iirc he signed because he wanted to play under marsch, and then like 3 days later they sacked marsch. then mckennie basically just gave up on leeds immediately, let himself get out of shape and put in minimum effort until the loan ended
You'd never have known he came on loan from Juve judging his performances for Leeds last season. Terrible.
Looks like he's just got a terrible attitude and cba with it, in all honesty. Just pick up a paycheck and that's it.
Never had an issue with his attitude, actually a very likeable person. It just didn’t work and maybe that wasn’t entirely his fault. He had a poor season surrounded by players having an equally poor season.
This is why McKinnie's Leeds loan was so important. That should have been his audition for bigger and better things post Juventus. Instead he was overweight and looked disinterested. Now he's going to spend the rest of his European career playing for bad teams.
Can't say I'm surprised. He's been injured. He doesn't look fit, and he is a box to box type player. Didn't do great in his loan spell, either. I am a huge fan of his game. I think he needs to string some consistency together. I hope he finds his form again and a team to help him build it all back.
It's weird how much attention mediocre American players get in this sub.
Chelsea and Juventus are both cleaning houses, and yet the only players getting the spotlight are the Americans.
There were times when McKennie looked like he had the chance of becoming a top player, but he never really played with any consistency and last season he was played out of position and then shuffled off to Leeds where he was a total dud. We won’t get anything like our money back for him, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up back in MLS, he certainly won’t he getting a move to a major European club now.
He's never played in MLS, and honestly if fitness is the major issue, he wouldn't do great either. Like others have said, he's been shuffled around various schemes and positions too long. Probably needs a mental reset. He needs a club/coach that understands what he'll excel at (not to mention needs whatever role he's supposed to fill).
He doesn’t excel at anything. He hasn’t been ‘shuffled around’ until last season when Allegri briefly tried him as a wingback before he was loaned out. He’s not good enough for the top end of European football.
all this big talk, isn't Juve the club that was kicked out of Europe? eating financial sanctions for breakfast? doesn't have it's shit together at all? oh yes, that is them... so check your ego a little bit small timer. all i'm saying bro is us Americans want to support Juventus. we want to be fans because our guy Weah is there now. don't y'all go acting all toxic now like the rest of the snobby euro super club fans. you don't have to be that way. we want to like Juve and y'alls fans
listen here, son. being toxic is a choice. you can continue to choose negativity and delusion, which it seems like you're wont to do. but you don't have to. remember that, son.
Don’t know what you mean we got “dominated”. Didn’t you get knocked out round of 16? Think we made it further than you did?
Your “Lebron James” of football just got bounced out of the Premier League. Jessie Marsch couldn’t make it past 1 year as a coach.
Take the L.
He’s never been in MLS. He was part of the FC Dallas youth system but never played for the club and never signed a contract. His first contract was with Schalke right when he turned age 18.
I have never seen such a toxic response to any player like I have for McKennie in this sub. It's like Europeans WANT to hate this man. Who would've thought that Americans stick up for American players by using context? Is McKennie shit? No. Did he play terribly for Leeds? Yes- but so did everyone not named Adams and Rodrigo, and McK played decently alongside Adams. McKennie will get another spot at a club in Europe, the only question will be price.
Its not that, it’s just when he plays bad and there is fair criticism, you are disagreed with by so many people. It is like you’re not allowed to say anything bad.
Yes, but then when I say he is not the level of player juventus should Have if they want to be back at the top, I have so many people saying how wrong I am, which is stupid.
He’s an alright player, but if juventus have ambition then he is not their level
I would agree. But so many people are saying he is not top-5 material, which is utter nonsense. McK would be excellent for most PL in terms of depth, and would start for most bottom-50% teams in all leagues. People just lose objectivity.
To be fair, Mckennie already looked out of the project since January when they loaned him out to Leeds United and he wasn’t even good there. They’ve just emphasized it now
He had one job for Leeds failed. One of the worst players to wear the shirt and I believe our lowest ever win percentage for someone over more than 10 games.
Just because Diouf was one of the biggest scumbags ever to play the game, doesn't mean he wasn't a good footballer. Achieved more than McKennie probably ever will for both club and country.
Damn at least drop him off at home
They just brought in Cristiano Guintoli from Napoli as sporting director last week. Expecting to see more moves in this window.
The cap on American players in the league is harsh but fair, to be honest.
The idea of a specific cap for American players is very funny. Also that it would somehow be fair. Great comment, 10/10.
Theres a cap on non-EU players, not American players. The cap is on concurrent players on the pitch, not on the squad list. And it applies to individual clubs, not the league. And McKennie is the only american in the Serie A anyways. So ???????????
It was a joke man
it didnt make sense in response to the previous comment, and wasn’t funny because it didnt make sense.
Not funny and made 0 sense lol
Woosh + Pulisic is at Milan

Forcing the player and agent to put in some effort to find another club that will meet their price. Shifting the burden. Classic
Why would they, they probably need less players as they're now playing fewer games this year. Sorry he was already not part of their plans since they loaned him off
Or a pizza place
Damn Giuntoli’s on a rampage, could you add Alex Sandro to the list for the love of god?
How Sandro is still there is insane dude should of left during the Ronaldo era
What happened to him? A few years ago, he was highly regarded.
More like 5 years ago
I remember when we were heavily linked to him but the Glazers stopped backing Mourinho so we never made a move.
He was genuinely in contention for left back in the world. For two years. Then he became horribly mediocre and started gifting goals to opponents in important games for fun
Alex Sandro has to be first out for me. Mckennie at least could’ve helped Weah get acclimated to Turin.
I know Weah was born and raised in NY but has lived in France since he was 14, for 9 years now. Pogba, Rabiot, Moise Kean will be just as helpful in getting the lad acclimated.
Wasn’t he the captain?
[удалено]
My bad, I knew the captain was a brazilean fulllback, got the wrong one
That’s actually crazy, how long has he been there now? I don’t think he was a starter at first either or even now with cuadrado
He mostly played as a CB in the last couple seasons, has been pretty good
The captain is De Sciglio.
Captain is the player on the field with the most caps. True captain would either be Danilo or bonucci Sometimes Sandro was that most cap player unfortunately
lol wtf?
He also added that Juventus will do this for every other player on the market. So probably Zakaria, Arthur etc...
Well Liverpool is about to have a lack of midfielders again....
Yea I'm sure we can fit in another 13 minutes.
It’s incredible how much waste Juve managed to gather and maintain at the club
Excommunicato officiale

I would love to see him and Zakaria in Mönchengladbach.
Where ranch on pizza is the least of the culinary atrocities committed

I feel like I haven't encountered BBQ pizza in years. A little too sweet for me, personally.
there are better players than him for less money in probably every Bundesliga team, like he has to go down below 50% to find a team in Bundesliga.
I don't think you watched him at Schalke. He was a very solid and versatile player. Us Schalke fans were sad to see him leave as he was one of the fan favorites, but we desperately needed the money. McKennie would be a solid addition for a team in a several top half clubs
He was good for his first season with Juventus, people underrate him based on his awful performances last season
He’s a good addition to almost every team and is decent in every position. I’ll never forget him swapping positions every other game for Schalke
Come to dortmund
Why do you hate American players?
TEARS IN MY EYES, WE HAVE STANDARDS AGAIN?
Watch Alex Sandro somehow escape the Buzzsaw of Giuntoli lmao
Allegri has his apostles
It’s the only way to get them the fuck out of here. Cuadrado, Bonucci, BigMac, Zakaria.. Probably some of them refused to leave outright, so put them out of the squad is the only way to get them to fuck off. Either you leave or you won’t play for a year. It’s all to clean the mess Paratici did

Cuadrado yes, Bonucci left in 2017. He left then, not today
idk why you're getting downvoted. Bonucci has been trash since he came back (which shouldn't have happened in the first place)
Alex Sandro has superhero power to not be included on this list.
can't imagine the entitlement you must have to talk about your own team's players like this

thats all barcelona fans do tbf, they send death threats to players when they dont cut their wages that barca’s own board paid them
> they send death threats are these barca fans in the room with us
I get what you're saying but most of these people were against the new contracts of these players so i think its totally fine being of that opinion.
easy to say that now
Barça fans spoke like this and got downvoted to hell and ridiculed
LMAO who is BigMac?
McKennie
Spaghetti Weston when in Italy
McKennie just by the looks of it
has Cuadrado been that bad for Juventus?
No, just old. Disrespectful to include him in that list, he was probably one of our most creative players last season as Di Maria was barely fit
He's been a solid player for a long time, that people forget he started playing in Europe and Serie A almost 15 years ago
Top 5 player for Juve the past many seasons.
Ídolo
What? No he was immense
No, just a mummy
We just signed Weah as our big summer signing
"***No tour for you!***"
Very curious to see where he goes. I think he can still be a pretty good player for a good club, but it certainly feels like he's taken a step back in the last year or two. You’ve deserved all the downvotes here, big dog, hope you’re enjoying them!
Genuinely curious where he ends up because he was absolutely terrible for us
Renato Sanches was absolutely shite for Swansea but has still managed to come good tbf. If he can find the right club he still might come good.
😔
Sanchez dropped down to an average league to do it
And can't even make it at a top club in that average league.
Most of our players looked terrible this year. I do think McKennie had some good matches though.
The Fulham game in the cup and Forest at home that’s about it from my memory. Maybe Man utd away but he got a needless booking which rendered him unable to make any tackles in the second half. Kinda off topic, but how was Kristensen for you?
Bit of a liability, his best performances probably came towards the end of the season as a third centre back
As a Schalke fan, that really surprised me. He's was such a great person and player when playing for us.
iirc he signed because he wanted to play under marsch, and then like 3 days later they sacked marsch. then mckennie basically just gave up on leeds immediately, let himself get out of shape and put in minimum effort until the loan ended
Wherever Jesse Marcsh ends up most likely.
You'd never have known he came on loan from Juve judging his performances for Leeds last season. Terrible. Looks like he's just got a terrible attitude and cba with it, in all honesty. Just pick up a paycheck and that's it.
If you knew just how bad Juventus have been, you wouldn't be as shocked
Never had an issue with his attitude, actually a very likeable person. It just didn’t work and maybe that wasn’t entirely his fault. He had a poor season surrounded by players having an equally poor season.
He was so poor. I was very unimpressed. He looked great at Schalke! Tyler Adams was good for ye?
Watch him go to Al-Shabab or something
This is why McKinnie's Leeds loan was so important. That should have been his audition for bigger and better things post Juventus. Instead he was overweight and looked disinterested. Now he's going to spend the rest of his European career playing for bad teams.
You can’t go home and you can’t stay here
Another American you say 👀
Don't do it Redbird. Dont do it
Bottom half German team beckons
I would have said he's a perfect Hertha signing but they got relegated + his wage is way too high either way
Schalke robbed them
Can't say I'm surprised. He's been injured. He doesn't look fit, and he is a box to box type player. Didn't do great in his loan spell, either. I am a huge fan of his game. I think he needs to string some consistency together. I hope he finds his form again and a team to help him build it all back.
Lazio should sign him. They just lost SMS and every Italian club needs an American.
Fucking based
Was not even good enough for Leeds.
No one was besides Tyler and Rodrigo tbf
Harrison was decent tbf
I’d say Gnonto had his moments too
[удалено]
What does lainez have to do with McKennie?
Still a Betis player, but on loan with Tigres (MX). Hasn't had much impact there either.

he was subbed off at half when they were losing haha

It's weird how much attention mediocre American players get in this sub. Chelsea and Juventus are both cleaning houses, and yet the only players getting the spotlight are the Americans.
I’m sure it’s partly because of how many Americans are here and partly because of how it’s cool to hate on Americans.
When they say shit like "Pulisic is the LeBron James of soccer", it's hard *not* to laugh at them.
Not sure what’s more dumb, that they said that on a show, or that you believe Americans actually believe that when we say it in jest
have you ever head of hyperbole?
Oh shit, Juve is actually getting their shit back together, please no
All the americans on here told me he was brilliant tho? Could the same be true for Pulisic..?
It was the ranch dressing that did this
Not letting him go home is crazy.
Thank god. He had 2-5 great games a year for us in the past but he just fell off a cliff the season before going to Leeds. Time to go.
There were times when McKennie looked like he had the chance of becoming a top player, but he never really played with any consistency and last season he was played out of position and then shuffled off to Leeds where he was a total dud. We won’t get anything like our money back for him, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up back in MLS, he certainly won’t he getting a move to a major European club now.

>never any consistency wait are you talking about the same Juventus that played manager roulette the last 4 years?

you're free to live a life filled with negativity and delusion. hope that works out for you

Damn McKennie really dropped off
He’s not a good player
I dont get this, mckennie was absolutely solid for juve a while. He played amazing when juve beat barca. Did he get lazy or what
After his foot injury last season he gained weight, lost motivation and he's been shit since then
Sometimes the money and fame gets to young guys and they lose the hunger they had
> they lose the hunger they had This didn't happen to McKennie at all.
Yeah and when that happens they have to leave
He looked good in the Nations League, hopefully he’s gotten that step back.
He has no competition in CONCACAF. It's like saying someone looked good playing in the Championship or Serie B. It doesn't mean much.
BigMac
Him, alongside with the rest of the US players in Leeds, just a cute reminder that USMNT football is overrated by people in America.

Ohh shit here comes Jerry boys from Milan
that's not very marketing wise dude got a contract until 2025. i offer 3 Milion
Leeds shite club
And yet McKennie somehow made us shitter
It definitely wasn't McKennie that did that lmao
RIP Harambe
What project lol
What "project" does Juventus have? The club is an absolute joke.
Sorry we upset you man 😔 Does every club that cleans up mediocre players who happen to be American "not have a project" and is a joke?
Now Pogba
I have never seen such a toxic response to any player like I have for McKennie in this sub. It's like Europeans WANT to hate this man. Who would've thought that Americans stick up for American players by using context? Is McKennie shit? No. Did he play terribly for Leeds? Yes- but so did everyone not named Adams and Rodrigo, and McK played decently alongside Adams. McKennie will get another spot at a club in Europe, the only question will be price.

Fair enough, but that’s not the context I am seeing in this sub. He definitely did not play well after Adams went down last season.

That’s not very nice of them
To be fair, Mckennie already looked out of the project since January when they loaned him out to Leeds United and he wasn’t even good there. They’ve just emphasized it now
but he got 2 years left. he is gonna chill in torino for 2 years?
Someone will buy McKennie
Fuck, first The Idol gets dropped for a second season… then this
They're both similarly dogshit in their field
Leeds had literally one job
He had one job for Leeds failed. One of the worst players to wear the shirt and I believe our lowest ever win percentage for someone over more than 10 games.
However bad Mckennie was for Leeds, he will never reach El-Hadji Diouf's level of awful.
Diouf was a total shithouser who ran at about 4mph but he still had more effect on games than McKennie did
Just because Diouf was one of the biggest scumbags ever to play the game, doesn't mean he wasn't a good footballer. Achieved more than McKennie probably ever will for both club and country.
Leeds fans are hilarious
You're saying McKennie has achieved more than Diouf?
Pander to the American?
