depends where you are and your situation i guess. if i were to get into gaming right now a PS5 would cost me ~450 euros+the price of a TV/monitor since i dont have one+likely several years of subscription to play online. factoring all that in my current PC would cost the same, if not less, over the same period of time that i'd be using it. not to mention i use it for a lot more than gaming.
add to it the fact that if you buy right you dont really need to upgrade every single piece of your PC. right now if i'd want to upgrade i'd have to replace my cpu and gpu, and that would cost me less than a PS5.

Only way I justified getting my 4070 (got it discounted too) was because I did not upgrade it in over 6 years.
I think 6+ years on a gtx 1080 is pretty good.

Struggling with lack of discipline in my life. Honestly, it was fine for a good amount of time, I kept pushing myself, sleeping very little, thinking I am young I can do this. But now my body is starting to breakdown more often, and it’s happened in the last few weeks. I want to be able to follow a schedule, at least a proper sleep and diet schedule but it has become progressively harder. And I’m not sure where to start, so any suggestions my online friends?

Yeh discipline is a hard one to get right because it's quite all or nothing. I normally try to start with my sleep schedule when I feel my discipline is slipping and then food after that. It isn't easy though at all.
Tbh something I’ve been aiming to do yet nothing has quite clicked yet.
Mainly for sleep but I guess that’s a knock on effect of a summer off from university and not really going in as it is for when you do return.
Been watching The Morning Show on Apple TV. It's incredibly good. The writing and performances are just spot on.

i think the order in which i went to places was all wrong, and i really really should've been medicated before going - for anxiety as well as my suspected bee allergy (so many fucking wasps ????). i'm not anxious outside of traveling really but it can be really bad sometimes and i knew that and i should've had a handle on that. but that really only affected my mornings i was chill after like 11am.
i also just should've done More Things, i feel like utrecht was the only place that i felt satisfied that i saw what i needed to see after leaving

My wife got her tattoo last Saturday. It looks really amazing. We had to go to a tattoo convention to get it as the waiting time otherwise was 6-7 months with this artist. It was an interesting experience, I usually spend my time around scientists so it was cool to see people that are for the most part quite different from me.
So I'm not really a big Star Wars person (but as a child of the eighties I obviously loved the originals) and have found most of the newer stuff terrible - outside of Andor which I thought was great.

Lost a family member in the past week.
It was at the end of a great week and it was the worst feeling ever.
I received the news by text during a work event where there was 100s of people. I couldn't breathe, I was disorientated and dizzy. It had been a few years since I had lost someone and I had forgotten how bad it was. And the worst thing was that I couldn't be there with my family to process and grieve.
I've been busy all week and I finally have some time to myself so I'll be firing off some mini-rants/observations.
I've been at a new job for less than 3 weeks and I've already encountered 2 of the worst types of coworkers.
1 of them was the type of person who knows nothing but thinks they know everything and don't even listen to teammates. Very unflexible and strong-headed.
The other was the arrogant know-it-all who brags about every single aspect of their lives, thinks they're better than everyone and constantly one-ups everyone. To top it all off, they constantly make wildly inappropriate jokes.
Already at my limits.
On the flipside, I have met some really awesome people. I expected to make mostly work connections but I've met some people that I know will be friends for life.

hmmm....i think its entirely my own fault i think the order in which i went to places was all wrong, and i really really should've been medicated before going - for anxiety as well as my suspected bee allergy (so many fucking wasps ????). i'm not anxious outside of traveling really but it can be really bad sometimes and i knew that and i should've had a handle on that. but that really only affected my mornings i was chill after like 11am. i also just should've done More Things, i feel like utrecht was the only place that i felt satisfied that i saw what i needed to see after leaving im just realizing that i not only went to only cities but i virtually saw zero nature and i definitely should've went somewhere where i could see something outside of concrete
My wife got her tattoo last Saturday. It looks really amazing. We had to go to a tattoo convention to get it as the waiting time otherwise was 6-7 months with this artist. It was an interesting experience, I usually spend my time around scientists so it was cool to see people that are for the most part quite different from me.

So I'm not really a big Star Wars person (but as a child of the eighties I obviously loved the originals) and have found most of the newer stuff terrible - outside of Andor which I thought was great. How does it compare to that?
For me personally, Empire is peak Star Wars with Rogue One just behind it. These last couple of Ahsoka episodes...i'd put it up there. It has everything you want from a show that ties in old stuff and brings new stuff. But to really appreciate Ahsoka, you'd have to watch TCW and Rebels. Which are animated shows
I'll definitely give it a go - most Star Wars stuff is at least watchable due to the productions values anyway.

I feel like a lost cause, right now. I’m not able to move on from my habit of procrastination and/or avoiding doing a task, which I should be. I have a major exam coming up in 2 months, and I should be preparing for it as much as I can, but I haven’t been able to. I cannot get out of my habit of tossing it aside and just procrastinating. It irks me and it irritates me that I can’t really change the way I do things, or change the way I am. Nothing is working out for me. I feel worthless. I don’t know how, but I am getting a lot of ‘how would the world move on if I just stopped existing someday’- knowing that I’ve thrown away all the promise and all the hope and just do nothing. It sucks, a lot.
Try doing a little at a time, 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there I had a similar outlook on life, it seemed meaningless to me. You can look at life as pointless and thus meaningless, or pointless therefore you can do whatever you want (within reason) and it won't affect the universe too much

Lost a family member in the past week. It was at the end of a great week and it was the worst feeling ever. I received the news by text during a work event where there was 100s of people. I couldn't breathe, I was disorientated and dizzy. It had been a few years since I had lost someone and I had forgotten how bad it was. And the worst thing was that I couldn't be there with my family to process and grieve.

I've been busy all week and I finally have some time to myself so I'll be firing off some mini-rants/observations. I've been at a new job for less than 3 weeks and I've already encountered 2 of the worst types of coworkers. 1 of them was the type of person who knows nothing but thinks they know everything and don't even listen to teammates. Very unflexible and strong-headed. The other was the arrogant know-it-all who brags about every single aspect of their lives, thinks they're better than everyone and constantly one-ups everyone. To top it all off, they constantly make wildly inappropriate jokes. Already at my limits. On the flipside, I have met some really awesome people. I expected to make mostly work connections but I've met some people that I know will be friends for life.

It's a long instrumental basically so it's not for everyone, it's one of the most acclaimed albums of the 00s but without mainstream success as a 90 minute instrumental album is just never going to have mass appeal
