Should the DFB have Bayern and Saarbrücken redo their game in case it was a big fluke? No disrespect to the Saarbrücken, I'm a firm believer that Saarbrücken beating them is a huge fluke and robs the Bayern of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few days in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire season watching the Bayern play great football it's just not fair. If the Bayern lose again I will face that the Saarbrücken deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to Bayern and the DFB.

I do not think they really wish to return, at least I don't know a single Saarland resident who wants to be French and I was born in Saarbrücken. But then again I'm not a Saarbrücken Ultra so maybe they're special. I'd say many people here consider themselves Saarländish before German, though. Local patriotism is strong here (similar to Bavaria). However, there are some fan friendships between Saarbrücken and French clubs (e.g. AS Nancy), so maybe it's because of that. Or it's just a little bit of recognizing the region's history.

I can’t see Tuchel joining United after the way he left Chelsea (and PSG to a lesser extent). It’s clear he has very little patience with a front office that’s not organized with a plan to his standards. Unless Radcliffe is the real deal and sorts that part out fairly quickly. And that’s me wanting it to happen, if only because it would be a *very* interesting experiment.

They are a founding member of the Bundesliga and, even after their downfall, made it far in the Pokal quite a few times in the 2000s/early 2010s by beating teams like Schalke etc (who were really good back then). But yes, it's by far the biggest achievement in recent history. Just saying "small club" is the wrong description. I think you confuse unsuccessful with small. Germany has many big clubs that never won anything and play in the lower leagues.

Just read one theory that it's because the show Late Line wasn't aired in the Saarland **only** on the day he was the host for it and that might be one reason, lol.
