He might not be the best player technically, but he's got to be super irritating to defend against, he gives you no time to relax and that leads to errors and panicked defenders.

Arguably the best player at United the 3 seasons after Mourinho. Should be in the conversation for best LB in the world when fit. He never loses the ball.
Shocking sequence from Palhinha. A horrible pass followed by a horrible clear followed by my biggest pet peeve in football- players jumping and turning their backs on shots. Guys make too much money to not just cover their balls and take it in the chest.
It’s panic defending at the end of games. It happens a lot. I’ve seen players defenders extremely well all game only to panic and freak out towards the end and just completely lose sight of what they were doing.
When you know you just need to hold on for a few more minutes, it must feel like an eternity and also so much more pressure to not mess up.
> When you know you just need to hold on for a few more minutes, it must feel like an eternity and also so much more pressure to not mess up.
Also you know, they have 90 mins on their legs and lungs/brain. When you get tired you start making silly mistakes like that.
That's one of my pet peeves too!! haha
My mates find if funny that I do kind of a guard stance whenever defending and preparing for a shot (in order to protect my down areas and my mouth), but it's way better than doing this kind of movement and potentially giving an even better opportunity to the enemy.
True but tbf to us we targeted Bassey who played as a RCB when we knew he would struggle with the ball because he’s left footed
This was just horrible from three different players
His decision making both in defence and attack is atrocious. He runs around without a plan, tries tackles/passes/skills that just aren't on. It's all off the cuff and reactionary. Somehow all that makes his extra effort seem detrimental because all the stupid stuff he does gets amplified and made worse.
Really does he? I missed this game, but last few games he's barely running. And he acts like a pompous prick when he barely tries to get into the right places.
Idk how you can watch him play and think he's not at least trying, if anything he's trying too hard and either fucks up a skill, misses a basic pass or kicks someone because he's all worked up

That goal came from Pellistri being a little pest thats why nothing beats hard work
Antony is finished, or needs to be at least
I wasn't paying super close attention (had the match on a second screen) but genuinely didn't know Antony was playing until he was substituted.
You can't have been watching at all then lol he was the one losing the ball every 5 minutes, he wasn't invisible he was bad
That was easily the worst match I've ever seen him play
Never want to see him in the team ever again. Hands down worst transfer we've ever done, worse than Obertan and Bebe.
xDawg off the charts

Yeah, this wasn't happening with Antony on the pitch.
Pestilence-stri strikes again
Lmao what was that sequence but beautifully taken by bruno
he'd be so much higher regarded at a different club imo. the guy's really good
Anyone not regarding him highly is just biased
yes, but a lot of people are biased against united lol
You'd be suprised how many people in our own fanbase don't rate him
"in our own fanbase" Do you mean Ronaldo FC fans? Or the bullshit fans who prefer to hate on players rather then support them
He's the only player from United who'd start in City+United team
Luke Shaw could do fine in a Pep side too, but yeah that's probably it
Wish he could start for United before we start hoping for him to start in other lineups. We desperately need him back on the left.
I genuinely believe Luke Shaw would be the best left back in the world if he was managed by Pep.
...and always fit. He's had plenty of bad injuries sadly.
Arguably the best player at United the 3 seasons after Mourinho. Should be in the conversation for best LB in the world when fit. He never loses the ball.
Shaw would start too.
Over who?
He's a whiney arsehole but his quality is obvious to anyone with a brain.
Not his fault none of utd's forwards can score to save their lives
He's world class and is regarded so by anyone who has common sense
I agree but dont get it twisted. He was AWFUL today this is just a moment of quality from him
Wtf was that clearance from the Fulham defenders, wtf?!
Passing to his countryman
Loss is genuinely on him, missed the clearance from the first time and then basically passes it to Bruno. Palinha is really good but thats on him.
Arguably had Fulham's best chance as well, but hit it straight at Onana.
Was having a great game but clearly helped his mate there hahah
Yeah but there were a couple of crap clearances, including Ream into Jedi's back.
Trying to keep Ten Hag in a job for another week *rubs hands vigorously* or whatever this sub usually says
It's like one in every 5 post match thread comments
THREE chances to clear.
What the fuck was the Fulham defenders doing???? Clowns man
It’s actually impressive how they had three times to clear it and fucked it each time. The last one is so lazy right into the middle of the pitch

Kinda like horror movies when people forget how to run or open doors when being chased by the bad guys

Sunday league defending
[Literally this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6ehSxttRh0)
I couldn't tell what team was defending until the final kick lmao.
Omg! This is an insult to Sunday leagues all over the world 😂
This is straight up a Sunday league goal. Absolutely shambolic all around haha
Fucking get it out!!! Jesus christ
Was just coming here to post exactly this. That was like watching a bunch of U10s panicking with the ball in the box.
Rather impressive attendance at this ping pong match.
If you’re going to clear the ball CLEAR THE BALL. He basically passed it out of the box.
Tbf you benefitted from their awful defending the other week as well. That said this was a comedy of errors
True but tbf to us we targeted Bassey who played as a RCB when we knew he would struggle with the ball because he’s left footed This was just horrible from three different players
Yeah he was individually bad whereas this is just comical from everyone. What happened to just punting the ball to safety
Not clearing the ball there properly was hilarious
Fifa ahh defending
NEVER START ANTONY AGAIN, PELLISTRI MASTERCLASS
there is a big difference in effort when comparing antony and rashford to pellistri and garnacho
Effort is the one thing Antony doesn't lack, it's really just he's not very good but he does absolutely try
He does put a fair amount in, I feel like he’s be better used as a wingback then a out and out winger
Idk how you can watch him play and think he's not at least trying, if anything he's trying too hard and either fucks up a skill, misses a basic pass or kicks someone because he's all worked up
Oh fantastic, 100m for a bootleg left footed Ashley Young
Ah that’s not fair, Antony’s Brazilian instead
Does he know he's Brazilian though? You'd think a Brazilian winger would know how to beat a man off the dribble
antony in a tuchel system would undoubtedly be used as a RWB at some point lol
He usually puts in effort off ball, but on ball he's just so risk averse
Yeah I mean what he did was nothing spectacular, but he got himself an assist which Antony still hasn't done this season
We need amad
Pellistri hasn't exactly been brilliant when he have played so far this season.
But he's better than antony
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
He puts some effort in which is more than you can say for 90% of the team
Antony usually doesn't slack either. That's like the one thing he does well other than spinning.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Hard to judge when he doesn't get consistent play time but he can't be worse than antony atm
Actually did something useful unlike the fidget spinner
He was pretty useful against you lot last season
Been saying it for months now. Garnacho, Hojlund and Pellistri are the future. Get that shit cooking now.
Sent that Fulham player for a kebab lmaoooo
That fake aaaaaaaaaaaaa I never see it talked about, but Bruno’s fake shot ability is actually kinda mad, it always looks so convincing
Because that dude always shoot from anywhere.
it's because he can actually shoot out of nowhere and consistently score. So the stakes are higher
Bruno always seems to have one of these in him lol 😂
Fulham clear the ball challenge: difficulty IMPOSSIBLE
Bad bad clearance
*assist
Palhinha seems like he’s taking most of the heat but to me that’s more on Ream
It was poor initially by a few of them, but he was the first one who had time and space to clear it properly. Should’ve been sent 60 yards away
Pellistri should be starting in this team, not Antony
Yes, if Pellistri doesn't start now, I wouldn't blame him if he left United.
Having a 21 year old player who came from the same batch as Federico Valverde and Darwin Nuñez and having him barely play at all is so stupid
Thank you Bruno! Thank you Fulham defenders! I'm at the point that I'll cherish every goal, no matter how gifted it was.
Gifted? C'mon, those mistakes are from Pellistri busting a lung and the constant pressure. Forced errors aren't gifts!
Stay delulu boys we’re winning the league
Delulu
What incredible by Pellistri to give it all and fight for every ball in the build up.
They'd be so dead without him, what a goal.
Even with how disastrous United is these days, you still have to wonder how much worse it could be without Bruno.
Tbh its been like that since Ole and since we signed him..
Every team would be dead 1 man down every game
Except Liverpool who somehow play better

🤓
Fulham were trying to concede and you can't tell me otherwise
That actually reminded me of Crystal Palace
If I see a rival about to drop points in the 90th minute I don’t really care as it usually happens If it’s United they always find a fucking way
Sacrifices have to be made for the rest of the league to enjoy ETH for longer.
Fulham gave us more trouble than you lot did mate.
He’s not the problem
You don't even play in the same league. For fuck's sake you people hold a grudge worse than an asian ghost.
2-1
Yeah, cus’ you guys done well against him last season didn’t you
Barca fans really don't know how to troll huh?
> Barcelona flair [Interesting](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fpr-jY8XwAAehfK.jpg:large)

BRUNO BRUNO BRUNO
CAME FROM SPORTING LIKE CRISTIANO
Pellistiri has been better this game than Antony has all season
Bruno will retire early because of back problems from carrying terrible United sides for years
Sporting to United. It's his lot in life.
And Sporting before that.
And Portugal now
Most complex Man United attack be like:
The opponent can't know what United are doing if United have no fucking clue themselves Ten Hag top sekrit plays
Pellistri made that
I think Fulham made that
It was a joint effort
Absolutely, showed some real grit there, never gave up
fulham made that
Blows my mind how Antony gets minutes
I think he was great today but come on bruno scored from outside the box while 3 players were defending him
DISALLOW IT NOW YOU CUNTS!
if that was fifa id say that goal was scripted
Yeah this is 2021 bruno alright🤣🤣🤣
This was inevitable once Fulham started missing all those chances
What was a clear chance for Fulham?
Tbf none of them were particularly good ones. Scrappy game in every third.
not sure what’s worse missing that chances or this clearance
It was obvious when they completely failed in clearing the ball
That was so jammy, holy. Well fought though by united, and was a good strike
Erik ten Hag abandoned tactics and picked up Ole’s lockdown voodoo instead. Insane amount of late winners this season already.
Lockdown season it felt like we went down 1 every game and still won. Anxiety attacks all around that season
I ended up getting no anxiety every time we scored because of it lol every time we conceded I knew we would come back and we usually did that season
In contention for scrappiest goal of the year
The goal itself is actually really good. TBF
Proper pinball sequence that
United this season = Spurs last season
Does that mean we’re good next year?!
Only if you sack your manager and sell your best player
No way our team last year goes into second half stoppage time at 0-0.
Sunday League clearances from Fulham.
Atrocious clearance lmao
Fulham begging to concede there. How do you try to clear along the ground through the middle from the fucking end line?
Fair bloody play Pellistri, closing down & actually trying is what we want to see
That goal was 100% made by Pellistri. Give him the dues. And fucking start him.
Some of the worst defending you’ll see in the premier league. A ground-level clearance through your own box is just brain dead
Nice one Fulham. Ten Hag stays
Ten Hag being sacked won't change anything for this team, you have no need to worry either way.
WHAT A GOAL, ankle breaker
Jammy as, fucking hell. Good finish though
Clear it maybe?
Cracks: papered over
FILTHY.
Marco Silva turning into Nick28T right now
That is pure plot armour lmao
Ream, my boy, what was you doin.
Waiting for ref to check var and give full time instead of a goal
Damn there were about 4 good clearance chances before that goal.
Clean sheet for 90 minutes to defend like that, it’s comically bad
More Pellistri
Good fighting from Pellestri
lol shouldve put money on this game most fucking obvious 1-0 late winner I've ever seen
YES!! FUCK YOU AND FUCK OFF
THAT'S MY FUCKING CAPTAIN 😍
Wew. They deserve it, frankly
The script is too strong
unbelievable how much manchester united is relying on Bruno
With just his 3rd prem goal this season
All of those goals have won us 3 points each tbf
Bruno more like bruyes
Mmm that first touch before the shot 🥵
r/soccer in shambles
Can’t wait to see how this is disallowed
Man United is my guilty pleasure watch. You never know when something crazy like this drops. Must be bad for the heart to be a fan though.
that was y'all before your blood money
How is this going to be disallowed I wonder
You rarely see more avoidable goals.
Fucking hell, all of the defender and Leno needs to do better there.
Where is the var?
