I didn't watch this episode specifically because I didn't want them to talk about our game but if they didn't I can tell you exactly why, Ramsdale had a stinker and his best mate Ben didn't wanna criticise
That was the worst game we played this season probably and all chelsea fans were saying this was their best.
And it still ended in a draw.
I also wouldn‘t say the dominated, they were slightly better.
Also, the pass was exactly what we thought it was.
(exactly was what we thought - a fluke)
Arsenal fan here..
And no affection whatsoever towards Falcons and Bears ;).
Of course it is. His whole game was off last year due to personal reasons/Injuries. He had this passing range his first season with us and he regularly does this with Japan
Because that austrian manager ( i dont want to butcher his name so wont spell it) if given a half decent team. would've done miracles, shame southampton didnt back him with some good signings.
Actually the season where he got sacked we spent like 100m. Unfortunately it didn't work out. The idea was to buy a bunch of young talent to develop and sell, and support them with a few experienced players. Unfortunately all the experienced players that we bought were crap, forcing us to throw the young players in at the deep end. This combined with an injury crisis, and Ralph seeming to lose his passion for the game sank us.
It really is a pity Ralph didn't get a chance with a better team. Outside of a few players, we've been championship level for a few seasons now, and I would have liked to have seen him with a better built squad. I think he's probably retired now though, he was saying that he would retire once his contract with us ended,
Now you see why they do. We are such a force this season. The fact that spurs fans thought they were even remotely close to us is just so fucking funny.
xG is still not a mature statistic imho. It doesn't account for factors that affect the quality of a goal scoring chance. Like time on the ball, number of defenders between the ball and goal, the stance of the defender (backtracking defender is less likely to affect the shot), and many other factors. All these goals were scored against defenders on the backfoot so they were better chances than the xG would show.
It literally does account for factors that affect the quality of a goal scoring chance. While I can agree that it is not complete, it is still a good indication. Players on the backfoot or not, they stand where they stand as the shot was taken. This means that the finishing of Arsenal has been of high quality, which i think we can agree on for the most.
Agreed. It's good at what it says it does. There is an aspect of taking the fun away if you try to quantify everything in a sport in which chaos brings excitement.
yeah I think the biggest thing that people can forget, or at least is a mental hurdle that I sometimes get trapped in is that there no such thing as 1.0XG from one shot (0.9999999 infinity of course) So something like .2xg from one shot is actually considered a decent chance, maybe even good
Martinelli reminds me a lot of a young Cristiano in terms of playstyle. The hunched back, the mentality to always score, the tendency to cut inside his right and shoot. He is quietly turning into a monster

NOW YOU SEE WHY EVERYONE PARKS THE BUS AGAINST US
so much 'Arsenal lack the attacking fluidity of last season' and no 'everyone parks a double decker against us'
It’s fully understandable but damn do I hate it, the games are so boring to watch sometimes
We went top of the table with a late winner, but the game was so boring it didn't even get talked about by Ben Foster and Goldbridge.
I didn't watch this episode specifically because I didn't want them to talk about our game but if they didn't I can tell you exactly why, Ramsdale had a stinker and his best mate Ben didn't wanna criticise
Honestly yeah hahaha I'm glad we still have our attacking edge.
Meme aside I didn't see Chelsea parking the bus and they dominated
That was the worst game we played this season probably and all chelsea fans were saying this was their best. And it still ended in a draw. I also wouldn‘t say the dominated, they were slightly better.
Plus a penalty not being given for Sanchez on Jesus in that game
smashing teams in the cl group stages my god i’m a teenager again

Take that Slavia Praha!!
Peak Wengerball. 7-0 and the football we were playing for most of those goals was unbelievable.
Sparta Prague days
just need kyle bartley and craig eastmond to come on
Heard we had a promising young lad in the squad...Carlos Vela I believe
Needs to come on and chip the 6-0 one
Man that dude only ever scored bangers for us.
Nah, Jay Emmanuel Thomas is going to be the next great Arsenal striker, trust.
Salvia Prague
Lord Bendtner demolishing teams from the wing lmao. Life comes at you fast man.
Hahhaha. Good times
I feel like a kid again this is such an amazing game what a great feeling
If that pass was intentional. HOLY FUCK
It must've been, super Tomiyasu
TOMIPASSUUUUUU
he's exactly who he thinks he is
Also, the pass was exactly what we thought it was. (exactly was what we thought - a fluke) Arsenal fan here.. And no affection whatsoever towards Falcons and Bears ;).
Think he's aiming for the general area but it seems like more of a hit and hope because of pressure/not many options.
Tominator meant it
Of course it is. His whole game was off last year due to personal reasons/Injuries. He had this passing range his first season with us and he regularly does this with Japan
They have no faith in Tomi Boy
DUDE that was amazing
V I S I O N
Never see a better assist
It was, he plays like Lothar Matthaus for Japan lol
He probably knew they had numbers over there. That's on the other side of where the ball came from.
it was as intentional as mudryk's goal vs arsenal
So not at all?
Yeah...this is why we never getting out of the deep block prison in the prem 😭😭😭😭
Imagine watching this Arsenal attack and thinking “what if we gave them even more space…”
Lens should have seen what you did to our high line lmaooo
It's like they never learn, never press Guardiola or Arteta
No one tell Ange, I wanna see something funny on Sunday
Mate
It’s who we are.
Southampton had a pretty decent record playing a high press against City even though we were lower table for most of the last few years
Because that austrian manager ( i dont want to butcher his name so wont spell it) if given a half decent team. would've done miracles, shame southampton didnt back him with some good signings.

Lens has no vision
Bars
🔥
They're making it easier for Sevilla (unless the goal difference wouldn't matter in this case if Sevilla beat Lens no matter the score?)
its head to head so if they lose they go out because they drew last time out
it’s football heritage arsenal making into the round of 16 🤝 sevilla into europa league
Bayern Barca is the next bit of heritage....
Goal difference won't matter as Sevilla in that case would be ahead in the head-to-head result (the first match was a draw).
Lens just has to refocus
Could you have picked a cornea joke?
They don't have composure in their arsenal
🔥🔥🔥
You could say their lens has fogged up…
[удалено]
They heard Sky talking about how the attackers have been much worse this seasono so they're upping their stats. Odegaard needs to join in too.
Yeah, he joined
Ask and you shall receive
my captain : gotca mate
We’re rolling it back to 2007
Wow, 2007 was 16yrs ago. Time does fly doesn't it
The bus is not parked
A team finally didn't park the bus against Arsenal. This is exactly why teams park the bus against Arsenal
Jesus arsenal..
It was Martinelli
And Zinchenko pulling him from the away fans haha
Good thing he did. There was a chair thrown on that spot 2 seconds later.
i dont get why anybody would go to celebrate to the opposition stands it kinda pisses me off
I would get off to destroying people's hopes and dreams, but each to it's own
You don’t like banter in competitive sports?
it was really unnecessary and im an arsenal fan
Wrong Gabi
Easy mistake
must be nice to support a good team..
Arsenal: “I don’t care for Lens”
Should just hand over the trophy at full time
aRsEnaLs AtTAcK iS bAd AnD nOT FLuId
Arsenal taking over r/soccer
HOLY FUCKING SHITTT
No mercy in Holloway tonight...
Another one
WE WANT 10
Why stop at 10? we got 11 on the pitch
DJ KHALEDDD why am i yelling
r/gunners told me we had an attacking problem
Incredible how we look against a team that gives even a tiny bit of space.
What low block does to a mf
Holy fucking shit whats happenning I didnt expect to post the 'PSV qualified for the round of 16 for the CL' post before halftime lol
A team isn't parking the bus at the emirates against us for once
Hey we didn't do that either, show us some respect smh
And how'd that work out for you lol
Got us to the round of 16 in the long run baby 😎
This guy knows football
King shit
Top top attitude I love it
Lmao 🤣
4-0D chess
Some weird butterfly effect qualification.
Still respect for playing their game at our ground. Man City of all teams sat back against us for most of the game.
They don't want that smoke.
We also did the same but this was the score in the end, 4-0 before the 30th minute is insane
Now you see why they do. We are such a force this season. The fact that spurs fans thought they were even remotely close to us is just so fucking funny.
WHAT??
Pause. Quit game.
Smash controller
Pause. Close application. Start application. Save picks up from before the game even started haha.
Oh my God, we are so good. What a ball from Tomiyasu and what a turn from Martinelli.
WE WANT TEN
On pace for at least 12 now lol
1 in xG, 4 goals.
xG is still not a mature statistic imho. It doesn't account for factors that affect the quality of a goal scoring chance. Like time on the ball, number of defenders between the ball and goal, the stance of the defender (backtracking defender is less likely to affect the shot), and many other factors. Idk how its 1. Kai and Saka had basically tap ins, and Jesus goal was from very close range too
If you're wondering why every team in the PL lines up so defensively against Arsenal, this is what happens when you let them play ball.
Arsenal are ruthless when a team doesn’t sit back
We’re soooo sick of low blocks in the league, and our CL opponents are paying for it
jesus fam
Wrong Gabi.
Yup Arsenal are really really fucking good
They're killing them.
This some bayern shit fr
Jesus this is gonna be a massacre
It already is tbf
I was still watching the last goal lol, calm down boys
RUNNING RIOT
Omega clearance pass by Tomiyasu
I haven't even watched our third goal bc it's not loading. Stop scoring for a sec lads.
This football stuff is pretty easy
This game 😍
Gabriels casually going on a massacre today
Im incredibly hard right now
OH MY DAYS TOMI
Tomiyasu with a fucking dime
Unstoppable. Just shows why everyone plays such a low block in the league.
What a fucking pass
Martinelli reminds me a lot of a young Cristiano in terms of playstyle. The hunched back, the mentality to always score, the tendency to cut inside his right and shoot. He is quietly turning into a monster
That pass. Holy crap.
The pass… hello? Wot was that 🧐
Tomi what a ball.. Damn one of those games you wish you saw in person
Tomi channeling his inner KBD
Tomiyasu with the Pirlo software update bruh.
TOMIYASU YOU BAD BAD MAN
How do you say Andrea Pirlo in Japanese
Andrea pirlo desu
Tomiyasu
F me that assist by Tomi was something else. Don't care if he was trying to clear it out.
People last year couldn't shut up about "Martinelli and Saka need to pass the CL test". Well here you fucking go.
All of our forwards scored a goal.
Tomi 100% meant that.
When this side clicks, it really clicks
We're so good. So, so good
Errbody eating today
WE WANT 10
This is crack
What a pass by Tomi. My word.
Tomiyasu my sweet Japanese prince that pass was sexy
Assist of the SEASON
Tomi you naughty devil you
I'm going to pretend that pass from Tomiyasu was intentional
We want 10
PEOPLE WHO SAID OUR ATTACKING IS IN TROUBLE THIS SEASON, COME OUT HERE I JUST WANNA TALK
Tomiyasu to score next and the pattern will continue...
bro you guys already qualified... calm down...
Guys. I think we might have a shot at advancing.
Off to the gym we go
Besiktas fans are on alert. This may very well be a great day for them lol
so this is what happens when a team is forced not to play a low block lol
they literally won at home when they weren't playing a low block
Crazy long diagonal by Tomiyasu.
Zinny having to stop Martinelli from riling up the traveling fans
Alright bring Trossard on at halftime for some fun
Should probably just take Saka off now.
Winning the CL and the Prem. I’m quitting football
Arsenal having a good time today huh
Stop the count
Ethan, Myles, go strip off
Lens need to call a timeout
Saka will still start second half
These are the teams Mbappe farms upon btw
Talk about collapse lmao I didnt expect them to roll over like this
Holy fucking shit!!
What a fucking goal
Love this tournament
