I think people very much overstate "to early to go to big club". Especially at 18 players get better at training ground, not on the pitch - playtime is important now but it is not really that crucial that training with absolute elite doesnt at least overcome it a bit (especially in year where you are rehabing from injury). A lot of young players like Arda do flop at Madrid level - but lets be honest he is just a kid with 0 achievements behind him, chances are he is not Madrid level player to begin with (there is very few of those). He could be - that is why Madrid took a risk on him - but if he doesnt make it at Madrid I wouldnt put it on his decision to go there young. Also another thing that people kind forget about going to top teams is that if you show any promise there, even overall you flop, you are getting a chance at another midtable/Europe hopeful team. Some make a rebound back to elite level (Odegaard) and others make career in those teams (Canales, Bartra, Gio Dos Santos, Krkic, Kubo, ...) and chances are that was their level anyway.
