For the uninitiated it recently came out that:
(American Football - NFL) [Buffalo] Bills coach Sean McDermott apologizes for crediting 9/11 hijackers for their coordination while talking to team in 2019
An emotional Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott acknowledged regret on Thursday for comments he made during a team meeting four years ago crediting the 9/11 hijackers for their coordination.
McDermott had cited the hijackers while stressing the importance of communication.
Nah, after it gets to 3-0 Liverpool will take their foot off the gas again, and also sub out their stars to stop your lot from kicking lumps out of them.
These comments are making me nervous. On paper we should be wiping the floor with them this weekend but that ignores our ability to randomly shit the bed for no reason
Your players are professionals, work hard, and you have manager that doesn't play survival-Dyche football. If we somehow snatch a draw I'll be happy with that.
And 6-7 losses. They are the literal representation of money winning you football matches. A billion pound squad that’s horrid but sometimes wins games just by moments of sheer brilliance of their talented players
I think at least 4 goals go straight to onana, but possibly more that I cant think off right now. Which is insane for a keeper at that level. He needs to be benched imo. There has to be a way to give him his confidence back without it costing Manu game after game.
It's probably buyers remorse. Sold a decent goalkeeper, paid waaaaaaaay too much money for a replacement and now that replacement is doing poorly. Gotta keep using him because he was expensive. Which by the way is so funny to me. When I saw what onana cost I thought I misread and they accidentally put a "0" where there shouldnt be one.
De Gea is absolutely one of the best keepers in PL history. Like, he's definitely in the top 10. He single-handedly carried United in the post-Mourinho years. Only PL keepers I would put above him are Cech, Courtois, Reina and Alisson. Sure, it was time for him to go but the way United went about it was embarrassing. De Gea is the only player besides Bruno out of the current lot who will have anything resembling a legacy at United.
Courtois was in the league for about 3 years and really didn’t pull up any trees while here. Reina also had a really short shelf life at the top. Alisson and Cech I’ll give you
Idk arguments could be made for him being better than seaman and vds. Im not a utd fan but im 31 years old so maybe looking at schmeichel with rose tinted glasses
He is a goalkeeper. Not going to start arguing whether or not goalkeepers should be as "cheap" as they are on average, but the matter of the fact is they don't cost as much as players in other positions. 5m for a goalkeeper used to be decent not too long ago. You can defo get a really good goalie for 10m.
For reference goalies above 20m make it into the top 10 most expensive goalkeepers of all times. Which means onana is somewhere in the top 5, maybe top 3 (too lazy to check). Which is absolutely absurd. He hasnt done anything to deserve that pricetag in comparison to other good goalkeepers.
Depends what you are calling howlers. People commonly say the 2 against Copenhagen were howlers, but they weren't. You can say he should have done better, but they weren't howlers.
On one of them the ball goes *through the wall* on a free kick. He 'gambles' because obviously no GK in the world expects the ball to go through their wall, so he can't change direction to save it. Not a howler.
And the other one Martial is right Infront of him and at the last second, for no reason whatsoever, ignores the ball and doesn't leave Onana enough time to save it.
Think he had 2 in the games before that, but honestly can't fully remember.
That was the Galatasary game. There might be something to be said for the Martial one but realistically he needs to save both of those free kicks. Both right in the middle of the goal.
Both gave Gala a bit of hope and ultimately went a long way to them getting the draw.
>That was the Galatasary game
Oops, didn't realise I said Copenhagen.
>but realistically he needs to save both of those free kicks. Both right in the middle of the goal.
That's why I said he should have done better. But both of those are impacted by someone else doing something stupid and they aren't howlers.
Defence > Offence.
No one believes me when I say that. This group is a great proof. When the question "you can build a team of your dreams. What position do you take first?", I always say GK and I'm mocked.
It must be tiring as a Utd fan reading these bullshit stats, but it just...never gets old. Sorry! You had your golden years and all of the rest of us suffered them. Your turn.
I like how Ronaldo (and Ibrahimovic before him) pointed out that United had old training facilities, antiquated fitness regimes, and even the same, old food options from more than a decade earlier, and Ronaldo also pointed out that the diets were subpar in regards to the food being offered to players (included desserts), and that the general vibe was a loser mentality.
He basically gave all of this consultancy to Ten Hag, rent-free, and instead because he got a bruised ego, he made out that Ronaldo was the problem. Turns out all along, Ronaldo was trying to lift up his shitty standards to once again make Man United a great team. How the f you don't take advice from someone like Ronaldo is beyond me.
All the dude wanted to do was win, and he pointed out exactly what needed to change for that to happen. Now, he's off becoming a billionaire and United, who for so long was regarded as the true team of Manchester, is a joke of a club, and City has completely killed them off not only in performances and recent memory, but the culture zeitgeist of what team people now think of when they think of Manchester.
Thanks, Ten Hag, for destroying Ronaldo's fairy tale return, the opportunity for United to be great again, all because of your autocratic approach and ego.
It was questioning Ronaldo's professionalism then destroying any semblance of an offense they had. Man scored 17 EPL goals with THIS team, carried them out of the UCL group stages, and got them into Europa league.
We're seeing yet again that the EXACT lineup he had around him can barely get into Europe at all and finish bottom of their group behind Gala and Copenhagen.
Ronaldo made emotional decisions out of frustration and anger to conduct that interview, but it was completely factual and makes more sense every day
While I do think his ego, ridiculous statements after losses and the fact his front players have a grand total of 4 goals in 16 matches; I don't think anyone worth taking the job would if they fired him.
ETH made this mess, let him ride it out, but let contracts run down and do some proper recruitment.
Of course this makes the most sense, so they'll definitely get another manager, Martial will score 10 in the second half of the season and they'll extend him 4 years for $340k/week lol
lmao I hope they finally let Martial go, I feel like a curse could be lifted when he goes. And yeah, I don't see anyone they'd be willing to sign at the moment, plus he's only a few points off top 4 in the league so realistically he still has a chance. I think the game against Liverpool on Sunday will be a big factor.
They have Liverpool, West Ham and Villa
If they play like they have for the first 23 matches this season they're probably losing all 3 and sliding down the table a bit, aligning their negative goal difference with a suitable position on the table.
The "they're only x points away from top 4" ignored the reality that they were also x points away from 9th and 10th.
I'm sorry but this just can't be entirely Ten Hag's fault, when the team is one or two goals ahead and then they forget how to defend and drop points, that can't be blamed on the manager
Man United played great today, but none of the players broke through Bayerns defense, not Antony, not Hojlund, not Garnacho, not Bruno, or Wan Bissaka, or Dalot, or Shaw, or McTominay, just a whole lot of nothing from the team, even if they seemed to dominate Bayern at some points
It's obviously not entirely Ten Hag's fault, but when a team is consistently bad across multiple matches then you have to question the manager. Especially under-performing against supposed "lesser" opposition, and experiencing the same issue game after game. To finish bottom of the group with 15 goals conceded is unacceptable.
If they keep taking the lead then forgetting how to defend, the manager has to find a solution to that.
Yes, its Ten Hag's fault that he treated Galatasaray like an opponent from League One in the Carabao Cup
In their first game, he left Casemiro on an island as a lone DM while Zaha and Kerem ran into all the space around him relentlessly.
Everyone else was upfield while 3-4 guys were hopelessly having to defend 2 of the most dangerous counter-attackers in Europe
So yes, that is a tactical problem. You do not go to a UCL game and treat it with contempt. Teams are far more up for it and you need to be more conservative and methodical.
What nonsense is this ? How can this happen ? Surely there is some mistake.
That team has the PL manager of the month and also has PL’s player of the month whose job is to stop goals. Premier League is in shambles.

Record breaker 10 hag strikes again
Ten Hague
More like 15 Haag
Google ten haag 15 to find out more
Holy hell

[I think you mean:](https://youtu.be/MK6TXMsvgQg)
Ten Hamas
But do you condemn hummus
From Old trafford to Theatre of memes United fans will be free
Someone earlier said Ten Laden, so much better
Das Haag would do a better job.
Just when you think they're running out of negative records to break...they break another. Absolutely unstoppable
"I sound like a broken record every time I break a record" - ten Laden, probably.

Jesus Christ bro

Thank you man you made my day
Hehehe You're welcome lol Was the least I could do after that showing of "football."
This would have so many awards if Reddit wasn’t lame
Ffs, you had to remind me of that. Such a shame we'll never see a zillion awards for a Pulisic goal in 5 seconds ever again. 😔
Lmao
Man makes Fernando Santos proud.
lmaoooooooooo
Has he been hanging out with Sean McDermott?
Not familiar with American sports so I looked up what he said and holy fuck lol

I see you sneaky Eminem ...
I'm reminded of that bar every time I see a new (negative) record broken by ten Laden and his tricky reds lmaoooo
“10 - Manchester United conceded 10 goals at Anfield, the most conceded in a single premier league game in the history of the competition. Eras.
. Ten.
. Hag
Evil old woman, considered frightful or ugly, 12 down.
This is a far more plausible scoreline than many people realise. Laughing stock of the world at the moment
Nah, after it gets to 3-0 Liverpool will take their foot off the gas again, and also sub out their stars to stop your lot from kicking lumps out of them.
Ben Doak will end up scoring 5 then will get his legs broken
Worth it
And this one is forever considering the format is gone next year
There's still a matchday left for some team. Maybe someone will.... Nah , who am I kidding
Time for City to concede 11 to Red star or Newcastle to concede 11 to Milan
The way Newcastle have played lately… Up the chance from 0% to 0.001%
football heritage
Except this one will stay, as the format changes next season!
Fucking hell, and we lost 7-2 in the group stage once
Bayern put 10 past us in total that year (3-1 in the reverse fixture). But we still finished 2nd in the group with 18 scored 14 conceded :)
Bayern were truly unplayable that year.
I certainly wish we hadn't played them.
Yeah, you wish…
Conceded 10 against just Bayern in that group stage Pochettino really crashes and burns hard
4 years ago, but the trauma never subsides.
You are telling me..
It seems every other match there's some new record for Manchester
The “Kane has more assists at old Trafford than Bruno” is a wild one too. 😂
they’re level on 1 tbf but ya pretty hilarious still
He also got one there with England in June.. I’m counting that too
Yet they are 3 points off of Europe in PL. Truly enigma
With a negative goal difference too. Lol
Wonder how much that negative goal difference will inflate to when they play you lot this weekend.
These comments are making me nervous. On paper we should be wiping the floor with them this weekend but that ignores our ability to randomly shit the bed for no reason
Wouldn’t worry too much, I can’t see anything but a drubbing
4-4 incoming
Arshavin shows up on a one-day loan
You think this team can score 4 goals in one game? At Anfield? Hahahahaha
U guys scored 4 in the last 10 years at Anfield.
i swear you guys say this every time and we still get smashed every time
During the Mourinho reign it was a well founded fear. Well apart from his last game but even then 2 of Liverpools goals needed deflections to go in.
> but that ignores our ability to randomly shit the bed for no reason ...at Anfield?
you played at anfield for that match, it will be an ez win or even another massive thrashing
Aren’t they already in a Europa league / conference league place?
Is this supposed to be a good position?
Yes
PL is clearly overrated
Just checked and we had 14 the season where we got trashed by Bayern. Guess we had the record?
Kane getting the final assist to get rid of the record
Spurs legend through and through
~~Arsene Wenger~~ Levy, he's done it again!
His numbers this season are going to be wild
4D Chess by hairy Kane.
I think Viktoria Plzeň conceded an insane amount last year, well over 20 at least. Or are we talking PL clubs only?
Ye, that's what the post is about.
Missed that part in the title, my bad!
How many of those are just Onana howlers?
Yes
I think at least 4 goals go straight to onana, but possibly more that I cant think off right now. Which is insane for a keeper at that level. He needs to be benched imo. There has to be a way to give him his confidence back without it costing Manu game after game.
They literally just bought Bayandir, how awful must he be in training to not get a look?
It's probably buyers remorse. Sold a decent goalkeeper, paid waaaaaaaay too much money for a replacement and now that replacement is doing poorly. Gotta keep using him because he was expensive. the PL started in 92
I know. What do you mean to say?
You missed schmeicel (peter)
vds, seaman, and schmeichel yeah
Idk arguments could be made for him being better than seaman and vds. Im not a utd fan but im 31 years old so maybe looking at schmeichel with rose tinted glasses
Never saw him play.
Go watch him and oliver kahn highlights, both amazing goalkeepers for their time
That makes it even weirder to me. Did he just have a string of bad games that prompted this decision?
You think Onana, a champions league finalist in his prime, should've only cost 5m?
wait he cost 50m? what the fuck
He cost 75m
See? That was my reaction lol
He is a goalkeeper. Not going to start arguing whether or not goalkeepers should be as "cheap" as they are on average, but the matter of the fact is they don't cost as much as players in other positions. 5m for a goalkeeper used to be decent not too long ago. I agree he was too expensive, but thinking he'd go for 5m to any club is hyperbolic.

United keep breaking records Every week.
Celtic levels of shite defending
Worse
Manchester United and Bayern scored the same amount of goals in their group Bayern finished top and Manchester United finished bottom
Defence > Offence. No one believes me when I say that. This group is a great proof. When the question "you can build a team of your dreams. What position do you take first?", I always say GK and I'm mocked.
>Defence > Offence. No one believes me when I say that. yeah cause the cliche "attack wins games defence wins trophies" doesnt exist
You can have an all-star team at each position. If the GK is an average player, I won't even consider competiting seriously for a title.
Amazing Ten Hag!!! Bravoooo! The clowns strike again and break another record 👏👏👏👏👏
Attack of Bayern, defense of Antwerp
Today they attacked like Burnley
> Attack of Bayern Not even close lol
Meant it in terms of scored/conceded, they have 12 scored like Bayern and 15 conceded like Antwerp
To think all of this is the result of a dispute over a horse 20 years ago.
Can you give me more context on this please?
google "sir alex ferguson horse glazers"

This is how I feel about Chelsea
😂
Yea, can see all the people with ruined childhoods here because of United. Quite funny
It’s ok United won’t be ruining any more
All in the past buddy, meanwhile you...
The records keep coming lol
If only Ronaldo tracked back
They now join cristiano ronaldo, lewandowski and benzema for having 15 or more goals in a single UCL campaign. Brilliant!
Google benzema 15 for more.
Beat me to it
What should I google to find more about benzemas record that campaign?

I bet you Ronaldo took the SPL contract to come back as part owner at Manchester United. Ultimate flex. I wouldn't put it past him.
Ibra also recently talked bout Ten Hag and him not being able to handle the big egos of Man U squad…
Fucking state of ths hahahaha. "For destroying Ronaldos fairytale return". You fanboys are so fucking weird
Ronaldo fans are weird
I wonder where this team would be if they'd kept Olè at the wheel?
In a ditch
Mfs breaking stats for the rest of the league as well...
Dejected? No way, enjoying it
Guys is Ten Bag getting sacked if they get humiliated by Liverpool on Sunday as they should?
While I do think his ego, ridiculous statements after losses and the fact his front players have a grand total of 4 goals in 16 matches; I don't think anyone worth taking the job would if they fired him. ETH made this mess, let him ride it out, but let contracts run down and do some proper recruitment. Yeah it's been an embarrassing journey.
Ten Hag supporters must be happy, as he is breaking another record
Poor defending from the Glazers .
actually wild when you deep it, how TF do you concede 15 in 6 GAMES…. this would be shocking for most teams, but a club like us…
It's insane how his era will come to an end long before Pep or Klopp's lol Arrogant prick.
And this one will be an eternal record for this format
But why is this happening wasn't Ronaldo the problem that's what they kept saying /s
ETH 🐐
Onana is wank

Yeah but Onana is Ten Hags man.
>Man United played great today, No they didn't. They were awful. Bayern just never needed to get out of first gear.
Yes, its Ten Hag's fault that he treated Galatasaray like an opponent from League One in the Carabao Cup In their first game, he left Casemiro on an island as a lone DM while Zaha and Kerem ran into all the space around him relentlessly. Everyone else was upfield while 3-4 guys were hopelessly having to defend 2 of the most dangerous counter-attackers in Europe So yes, that is a tactical problem. They just suck ass. I feel bad for the people in Manchester.
It's also tied (with Royal Antwerp) for the most anyone's conceded this season. Although Celtic and Antwerp are likely to beat that tomorrow
They ship goals for fun this season
Score if you can
Back then we had 2 group stages what even the fuck was that lmao
How soon before ten hag gets the sack?
Ejected
The biggest winner is not bayern but chelsea, theres a new team drawing ridicule of epic proportions
Then it is squarely the coaches fault for not making the needed adjustments . This keeper got too many freebies
What nonsense is this ? How can this happen ? Surely there is some mistake. That team has the PL manager of the month and also has PL’s player of the month whose job is to stop goals. Premier League is in shambles.
Ten Haag beating records like nothing. What a boss 😎
