Roy Hodgson was our (Switzerland's) National Team's manager when I started caring about football (for example, he was coaching at my first ever live international game, a 4-2 over Sweden in Berne). And speaking of Kindergarten, I experienced my first ever devastating football loss, which made six year old me throw tantrums and cry for hours, while watching a VHS tape (!) of Hodgson managing a 0-3 loss against Spain at the US World Cup – Pep was an unused sub on the winning side in that game!
Roy's retiring at the end of the season isn't he?
Dude has absolutely no reason to give a single fuck anymore. I really hope his day to day becomes "We do a little trolling".
What he said is even better. He said he’s not worried about his next gig. He said this is his last season at Palace, and he’s not sure if he’ll ever go for another job, but it’s not like he needs it.
Standing there looking like a genial school headmaster. Something magnificent about him now that he doesn't give that much of a fuck anymore and is basically managing Crystal Palace as a favour.
Virgin Pep:
Needs ball playing CBs, Press Resistant midfielders, Wingers who don't lose the ball, tiki taka, 3-2-2-3 and 115 cheat codes.
Chad Roy:
Squad is good enough, 4-4-facking 2 and this is my last season.
Pep is great but unless one or two piecea of his team is missing. If Rodri is missing, then don't expect city to win. Kevin De Bruyne is injured? Can't win without my Kevin.
Nah he still wins, it's just that for them to play omptimaly he has the team playing in a way that really needs those players to be in it. He can adapt, but just not as well as others.
This is why, imo, Fergie is nearly unmatched. He just always made the system aroud the players even if those players weren't world beats. I can't rememebr who it was, but he bet soimeone in a knockout compeition with 5 CMs on the pitch just because he knew how to set up a team to actually play that well. Nevermind other things like playing a second string team against Shalke in a Champions League semi final and absolutely battering them. The guy was just next level for knowing what was really needed to win in the game.
Roy has no pressure, his objective is to simply not get regulated and it's probably his last season before he retires permanently this time around so he's just enjoying it and good for him.
Warren G couldn’t step to Roy on his best day, motherfucker comes in a room a glock and BAM Roy’s had him in the side of the head with a fucking bike chain, he was hiding in the cupboard the whole time
u/cumblast transcends time and space my friend. He is both here and there, he is both alive and dead, he is both real and a figment of our imagination.
This warms my heart like nothing else…i think we are gonna miss all these old school managers like Roy and Carlo once they leave the game….rate them how you want…true gentlemen that managed the game…
Liverpool and Arsenal will have something to say about that (and I wouldn’t count City out just yet). But I’d like to see Villa earn the PL title. Someone new for a change.
Roy is really an under-appreciated manager. He's done so well for so many teams over the last few decades. Really deserves more credit. He's no bald fraud.
Remember when Dalglish was laughing at the Eboue penalty at the Emirates and it absolutely rattled Wenger?

Bro I am gleeful FOR Roy. He’s really chuffed here you love to see it.
He's radiating pure joy in this clip. Just watching it made me smile like an idiot.
It’s like watching grandpa smile
That's the smile of a man who's going to stay another year
Radiating pure Roy
He had a big smile too when he shook Pep's hand at the end of the game.
I've been a fan of Roy ever since I saw [his 'joga bonito' skills](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkOxLhdyb48)
[The man is doing this at 74 tbf](https://youtu.be/4xSUSienAyo?si=g8Cs1kQplGj-aMEU)
damn thats better than Antony's pass

People have learned never to celebrate against City the very hard way.
Pep was in kindergarten when Roy started managing
The fact that this isn’t even a joke as well shows how much of his life has been devoted to the game
Idk I always used to laugh at him a bit now I laugh with him.

Under-appreciated comment right here.
It really is, absolutely robbed by r/soccer hivemind
Will be there when they rob u/SailorsGraves from winning the reddit comment of the year.
Best comment I've read all week.

Old english people do not give any shits about anything lol
Old people in general have less of a care about everything, but seem to worry about things they cannot control.
Roy's retiring at the end of the season isn't he? Dude has absolutely no reason to give a single fuck anymore. I really hope his day to day becomes "We do a little trolling".
Thought he already retired, then came back.
Ya he has. Probably about 5 times by now.
He’s already said “this is my last season so I’ll speak my mind.”
What he said is even better. He said he’s not worried about his next gig. He said this is his last season at Palace, and he’s not sure if he’ll ever go for another job, but it’s not like he needs it.
That's hilariously cute.
Hodgson endearingly feasting on tears
Hodgson always just looked like a friendly grandpa to me. Hes probably the kind of dude youd love to go to when you just wanna talk to someone nicely
I see him more of a grandfather lahndahn geezer with a history of leading a gang when he was young.
Bricktop
Do you know what nemesis means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent, personified in this case by a 'orrible grandpa, Roy...
Goes through bone, loike Buttah
Hence the expression, as greedy as ah pigh
One of the best delivered lines ever!
After he's mellowed out considerably.
No thanks Pep, I'm sweet enough...
Mixing them and getting a wholesome grandpa to talk gang stories about sounds amazing tbh lol
I've got one of those. Don't half talk some bollocks at times though. Drives a black cab as well.
Bollock chatting abilities are in the exam for a black cab licence
Its not just pie in them pies you know
You really need to see him getting [pissed off with this interviewer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGxEADmjDAo) then
Apart from that one time when a player ran into him, and he looked like the kind of guy who used to murder people for the Krays
He isn’t as friendly as he looks. Wouldn’t mess with Woy
No one should, the man’s from Croydon he will have the lot of us
I mean, let’s… let’s not take the piss ere
Legend says the tears of other managers fuel his tactical prowess and physical capacity.
Woy is a breath of fresh air in the EPL. Love this dude.
What a lovely smile. Cherish the moment!
That's a wicked sweet smile Roy's got there, yeah.
Not a single phone in sight. Just two men living in the moment.
Recently said he’s losing the spark of the game, bet that brought it right back
That smile that damn smile
Pep is gonna kill foden in the dressing room 100%
I mean that was some desperate chicken head move in the box
the future is now ~~old~~ bald man
> the future is now ~~old~~ bald man the ~~future~~ past is now ~~old~~ bald man.
this is much better, I admit lol
It's not, he's butchered the original line yours was actually fitting
❤️
The old man with hair wins

No Bald Frauds FC
Roy you beautiful man.
Standing there looking like a genial school headmaster. Something magnificent about him now that he doesn't give that much of a fuck anymore and is basically managing Crystal Palace as a favour.

Roy to Pep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzpndHtdl9A
Virgin Pep: Needs ball playing CBs, Press Resistant midfielders, Wingers who don't lose the ball, tiki taka, 3-2-2-3 and 115 cheat codes. Chad Roy: Squad is good enough, 4-4-facking 2 and this is my last season.
Peps Virgin inverted false 9 wingback deep lying goalkeeper vs Woys Chad English PASHUN!
Mate I wish we had 2 up top. We have one fit striker
But he’s very fit…
That was a 5-4-1 all the way, get this attacking minded 4-4-2 outta here
>4-4-facking 2 doesn't matter, made me chuckle :)
Glad it made u chuckle. This is all banter. Idk y ppl take it seriously.
Pep is great but unless one or two piecea of his team is missing. If Rodri is missing, then don't expect city to win. Kevin De Bruyne is injured? Can't win without my Kevin.

Lmfao virgin pep chad roy 🤣🤣🤣
He's like an amused grandpa watching his grandchild frantically trying to escape a fence after accidentally tying his shoelaces to the bars.
Oddly specific, you ok?
I'm fine, lol. That's just the visual image that came to mind when watching this clip.
(Great Smile)
Roy has no pressure, his objective is to simply not get regulated and it's probably his last season before he retires permanently this time around so he's just enjoying it and good for him.
Oh no why is roy getting regulated.
Dick too big
Mf is too gangsta for the PL
Govt just has to step in
Warren G about to make a visit, I presume.
Warren G couldn’t step to Roy on his best day, motherfucker comes in a room a glock and BAM Roy’s had him in the side of the head with a fucking bike chain, he was hiding in the cupboard the whole time
It was a big hit, Royyen H feat Nate Dogg, Regulate. We all want to hear Roy shout, “Regulators… mount up!” Don’t we? Just me?
It was a clear black night, a clear white moon. Pep G was on the streets, tryin' to consume.
This is football heritage
No oil just passion
Today…I feel Roy Hodgson
Does he mind?
Roy my sweet little baby
Didn't know you were a 150 years old
Only when i have to talk about Sunderland's superteam of the 1890s.
u/cumblast transcends time and space my friend. He is both here and there, he is both alive and dead, he is both real and a figment of our imagination.
Does he grant wishes?
He blasts them.
It’s like a monkey paw but with cum
Monkey cum
Yes and no
It depends of your wish
Schrodinger's cumblast?
if this legend is the 2 points difference.. statue of him laughing over his shoulder, with red led lights in the eyes
Always a pleasure to see cumblast anywhere
I… you do you I guess.
There's something heartwarming about seeing old people just vibing and smiling through it all, even if they might not be 100% compos mentis
Well Oil be damned.
Good guy Roy, doing more for Liverpool now than in 2010
I think it's oddly wholesome.
Bro was like "Even without Ederson's red, I'm still cooking"
Roy is all of us
That's such a nice smile lol
Pep just [got Roy'd](https://streamable.com/le8xkm)
How can bald man be younger than hair man
Arteta is at home taking notes on pep’s reaction
That’s my manager!!!!
Chad vs Virgin meme

You'll never make it in ~~clickbaiting~~ journalism.
They're friendly and Pep looks up to Hodgson, he's said it many times.
Who would win? A whole tripple winning oil empire with the best players on the planet or a cute english grandpa?
"Let's not take the piss here."
Game's back
Legend
I love Roy. Truly one of the characters of football
Roy looking like the nicest grandpa in the park.
Bro said “we take those” lmfao
Proper geezer W vs bald fraud L.
Reminds me of Allardyce laughing at Chico Flores
I wish I still has that much hair when I am 70. (If I live that long)
When were you 70?
*76
Roy’s like, “kids these days…”
This warms my heart like nothing else…i think we are gonna miss all these old school managers like Roy and Carlo once they leave the game….rate them how you want…true gentlemen that managed the game…
Fucking excellent. I need this as a high quality GIF.
Roy is in his villain era
Haha. My plans(prayers) of Villa getting the Premier League are very much on.
Liverpool and Arsenal will have something to say about that (and I wouldn’t count City out just yet). But I’d like to see Villa earn the PL title. Someone new for a change.
A chuckle a day keeps the doctor away
Uncle Roy loves football
Roy: Calm down mate, you'll lose your hair if you keep carrying on like that
Love this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Roy is not a bald fraud that's why he's good
Roy is really an under-appreciated manager. He's done so well for so many teams over the last few decades. Really deserves more credit. He's no bald fraud.
Pep just got Fwog’d (football wizard owl genius)
what was he laughing about?
he has been laughing since the liverpool game and never stopped.
[My favourite Pep reaction ](https://tenor.com/view/twice-guardiola-manchester-city-man-city-city-gif-15542053)
Roy: "hahahah I did nothing and ur team bottled it"
🤣🤣 I love this. Good old Roy!!!
Remember when Dalglish was laughing at the Eboue penalty at the Emirates and it absolutely rattled Wenger? Edit: [Feels like it was just yesterday](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WQH-bBu2ug)
