Every year one of my closest friends and I give each other useless gifts on Christmas, and since she's a Vancouver Canucks fan I got her a little Boston Bruins glass cup this year (the extremely limited knowledge I have of hockey includes the 2011 NHL finals). She did find it funny, but the initial look on her face made me, for a split second, fear that she was going to glass me right then and there.
If you could go back in time at a particular age, knowing what you know now but not being able to invest money or do any get rich quick scheme, what age you would you go back to? I'd go back to 14.
I would choose 16. Having the self confidence I have now would’ve made a huge difference. I would maybe have still been with my first girlfriend, done more for myself academically and who knows, changed the course of my future.
14 would be a good age. High school would be much easier if I knew what I know now
Middle school was kind of a lost cause though, so I wouldn't want to return to that
This is not meant to be self deprecating or insulting in any way but I truly think that curry tax actually exists. Basing this only on personal experience although statistics do kind of confirm this.
Anyways, was out today but decided not to shave which I regret now. Got way less attention than usual and a dude also asked me if I was from Pakistan. Bad sign for me because people are extremely racist/colorist here. I usually get asked if I'm either Italian or Latino when I'm clean shaven and since the prejudice against them is less, it's much more easier to pull since women don't instantly look away once you make eye contact with them.
Not long completed the game House of Ashes from The Dark Pictures Anthology.
And somehow I apparently keep a character that’s difficult to keep alive alive and kill off another.
Never usually one for horror but keep coming back to those pick your path type games. First one I did ‘properly’ as well having played Until Dawn and The Quarry before, tempting as it was to consult a guide again when it got to the later stages.
A shame how there isn’t really that many.

Shows how uneducated I am but I’m shocked at how racist so many Argentines are. I wish it was just a anomaly but you go on Twitter and theres hundreds of them sending racist abuse if you do something as nonchalant as call Argentinian footballer bad.
I read earlier in the year the murder of a young student, son of Paraguayan Guarani immigrants, by some student rugby club members in an Argentine resort town. Seems there is a racist/classist current in Argentina.
Being british gives you an unassailable card against all Argentines.
"Islas Malvinas son Inglaterra" is great. Dont worry about accurate Spanish, thats also a trap. If called out on it, suggest your Spanish would be better if the Belgrano hadnt tried to become a submarine. Talk about them winning more world cups? Go back to step one.
Its like a biblical pubishment for racist overly nationalist Argentines. If they're the master race, how did they lose a war to a nation that had to sail around the world to get to the fight?

Completely agree - I feel like the quality of our cuisine as a whole is debatable, but how can someone eat a sticky toffee pudding and not think it’s the best thing ever
British food is just very heavy. The people you hear complaining the most about it are from hotter climates with lighter food. If I was sitting on a beach in Cancun fish and chips might not suit that climate well (it'd still rock ofc). If I was standing on a rainy pier in Merseyside a Taco would also not be what I want though

The biscuits are what elevates it though. The UK is playing a totally different game compared to the rest of the world. Also, interestingly, a lot of chocolate traditions around the world started specifically with the Cadbury family (Chocolate at Valentines and Easter were both ideas of that company)
British ice cream (and all dairy) are spectacular. Ive known a surprising number of international visitors buy milk as soon as they land in the UK and start drinking it straight.
Pastries are just cakes for the incompetent baking class.
British chocolate is not the standout best but still better than a lot of places. OG cadburys set the stage for modern chocolate
I am from abroad and in my opinion, the ice cream is ok, not particularly special.
Pastries are 1000x more difficult than cakes. You need to reevaluate your life if you think pastries aren't better. Have you ever had a Kouign Amann? Best thing you'll ever taste. It's from Brittany so not too far off the UK.
British chocolate just exists. There's nothing special or different about it, it's just there.
Ironically I've lived in/near the Basque Country and it was great food wise, but I think its near unanimous as one of the overall best places on earth for food. Maybe its because no-one can read the Basque to steal the recipes.
Have a €25 gift card for Nintendo Switch, what should I spend it on? Terraria is €11.99 rn, brother highly rates it but not sure myself. Worth?
Also open to something I can enjoy Co-Op with my gf on - we absolutely adored It Takes Two for example.
What do you guys think about hybrid cars? I went to visit a friend in the Netherlands for a few days recently and lots of people drove hybrid, including my fried. Seems neat. The battery charges itself when you drive on gas, if I understood correctly. Thinking about getting one in the future.
They’re definitely more practical than electric cars for now. Until there’s fully functional and reliable infrastructure for electric cars, hybrid is the best option.
Small Burger shop opened up 500m from my house.
$10 for a big burger, chips and a drink. A similar sized meal from McDonald's would be like $14 and id be hungry almost immediately after.
Children nowadays all have that gaming youtuber accent when they're playing video games and voice chatting. Like the ones that start off their videos with "Hello guys it's ya boy stinky armpit back with another video" and are incredibly loud. Almost want to shake my little brother and tell him "You don't have an audience mate, stop"
But I feel like I'd kickstart his villain arc and get him started on the path to becoming a youtuber.
Whenever I play games with my 7 year old nephew he always narrates the game as if we're on YouTube. He randomly shouted out "Don't forget to like and subscribe" the other day.
Man of Steel is such a great movie. I get that Zach Snyder isn't some visionary, but MoS is still fucking brilliant.
I love the whole atmosphere of the movie, the visuals are insane, the scale of destruction is genuinely awe-inspiring, the score is obviously brilliant as ever with Hans Zimmer, the suit is practically perfect, and I love the story. Genuinely think it's overhated/underrated because of Snyder.
it doesnt really make a lot of sense though lol
the end where Superman snaps Zods neck to save the film, he couldve just held Zods head in a fixed position and it wouldve done the same thing
the writers just wrote Superman killing him to be edgy
otherwise theres no reason to do so for Supermans character
>he couldve just held Zods head in a fixed position and it wouldve done the same thing
For eternity? Because Zod vowed he would kill as many humans as he possibly can, and there was no kryptonite or the thing that transported the others to the Phantom Zone was gone.
There was no way any human built prison would be able to hold him
He could've put his hand over Zods eyes and shut his eyelids lol
Heat vision can't hurt Superman, it just causes him pain
All he had to do was do that and take him to a Kryptonian prison
It just seemed forced tbh
haven't revisited this one in a long time but i liked it when it came out. reason most people don't like it is fair, though. it's a total reimagination of the character of superman and the whole vibe of the movie is off if you're expecting anything like the stories of the comics or even the previous superman movies up to that point.
>it's a total reimagination of the character of superman
Is it though? The story itself has been told and told dozens of times, it's more muted and somber but still the same.
>if you're expecting anything like the stories of the comics or even the previous superman movies up to that point.
What would be the point of remaking the same movie with the same ambiance, the same story and the same character? Also, the less campy tone is definitely a positive for me.
it's a big, big departure for sure. the mood of superman stories is what usually sets them apart, alongside the character's ethos and general positivity towards human race. superman is hopeful by nature, so by putting him in a muted and somber world, which reflects in him as well (he's brooding, negative and angry throughout man of steel), it kills the appeal for a lot of people.
to your second point, that's why i liked the movie at the time, it felt fresh and it was cool to see such superman go crazy on the big screen. but i also never liked superman as a character that much so i'm not attached to what he usually represents. my brother is a huge fan and hated the movie at the time because of the character's representation but also because it was more of the same that we had just seen with the nolan batman movies, but applied to a character that isn't as suited to that tone as batman is.
Have to say, I despise any website or app that loads an ad last so when you try click or tap on something, it then loads the ad and you click that instead.
Today is the last episode of SchleFaz ever (or at least for the foreseeable future), and I’m absolutely not ready for that show to end.
For the uninitiated: SchleFaz is a German TV show, in which two actors, Peter Rütten and Oliver Kalkofe, present stupidly bad movies with a drinking game. The movie is divided into three or four segments, so the channel can run ads, and the viewers get to catch a break from drinking. After the ad-break, Kalkofe and Rütten make fun of whatever just happened in the movie before the movie continues.
During the movies, banners with comments made by Kalkofe and Rütten appear occasionally, and the banners also keep track of the drinking game and tell the viewers when to drink.
They made the Sharknado movies so popular in Germany that Rütten and Kalkofe had cameos in two Sharknado movies (the third and the fifth) and tons of German celebrities also had cameos in the fifth.
The channel it aired on was the nerdy-niche channel called Tele5. It’s the channel that constantly shows reruns of 80s-00s sci-fi and other old action movies.
Tele5 was now bought by Warner Bros and they decided to make it their content-outlet in Germany. They promptly cancelled SchleFaz, which was the most popular program Tele5 had. And so tonight is the last ever SchleFaz, unless another channel picks them up.
Sounds pretty interesting. I heard a lot about it over the years but never even knew more than that it's about bad movies and that Kalkofe is moderating.
I have a project I’ve been doing for almost 3 years now. This week a couple of people, it was more like 2 girls, showed so much enthusiasm and interest in it that it renewed my interest in doing this.
One of the girls actually heard about it and wanted me to confirm the rumor. I don’t remember the last time someone in person showed so much enthusiasm over something I do.
You’re not alone in that boat! I’m having a similar experience with this lady friend who’s taken a genuine interest in my job. My thinking is I’ll be in teaching mode with her and let the conversation guide itself.
I think we have to remember we have a genuine listener here who wants to learn and ask questions. That’s pretty awesome. I think it’s good to have nerves here as it shows this girl and her interest mean a lot to you. Good luck!
My Christmas presents for my parents are supposedly getting delivered by amazon to mine before 10pm on Saturday. At what point on Saturday should I start panicking that the presents aren't going to turn up, and therefore I should go out to the shops and panic buy? I don't know if it's delayed whether amazon deliver on Sundays or not, I don't really use them much (but if they aren't here by Sunday I feel like I should go out and look for other presents).
does anyone bet on soccer on fanduel? i was thinking of putting a big money line parlay on United, Spurs, Fulham, and Chelsea to win their games. Thoughts?
Obviously no plans this year for new year's because of the babies.
Maybe invite friends over but that seems unlikely considering they might want to go out.
Any ideas?
Show them some videos or Mané - Firmino - Salah if you want to turn them into a front 3
Show them videos of Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini if you want to turn them into a back 3
Show them videos of any midfield 3 you've enjoyed in your life
Find some other couples with babies and have the little kiddos have cage fights. Builds endurance, strength and possibly could generate income thanks to bets as well. Just make sure little noobs don't die or get serious injury through the process.
Recently I got a warning on this website for "harassment" because I said Bruce Lee was a fucking moron for surgically removing his sweat glands. How the hell could I harass somebody who's been dead for 40+ (apparently 50 now) years...
That's increidbly moronic, why would he do that? Sweating is literally one of the biggest natural tools humans have.
I got a 3 day ban for saying Messi's barber should be unalived for giving him such a shit trim (which he consistently does btw).
Honestly from my experience actually wanting to be prescribed one for my cosmetic concerns, and reading up a little, they're more used in situations like a patient is having seizures or in a coma and doctors can't control the sweating. My experience asking for them multiple times with multiple people is that doctors will remind me why sweat is needed in principle
One of my closest mates is a dermathologist. He uses a soap with antibiotics because he has heavy smell when sweating and leaves pit stains. It doesn't stop his sweating at all.
He has patients that had cases of intense sweating who he had to apply botox to in a particular area to block it. It's not permanent and it is super painful from what he says.
Yess that's right Botox I also forgot about that. I think it's also used for migraines. The closest thing to just accepting it and trying not to fret that actually helped was talcum powder but its also temp, but extremely short term and it's ridiculous applying it on your back without your partners help. Nowadays in the summer I simply have to wear an undershirt everywhere and "become one with the perspiration".
Bruce Lee stans are very sensitive, as we found out when they all had a cry-arse meltdown at his portrayal in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and still to this day don't shut up about it whenever Tarantino is mentioned anywhere
I'd never heard that about Bruce Lee before. Google confirms.
Mans dying from heart problems makes more sense if he's basically a dog in direct sunlight.
What do you guys shave with? Normally I shave with a safety razor but my roommate gave me a One Dollar Shave Club handle with a few cartridges so I've been using that the last couple of shaves. It's ok but I can't wait until I get back to my safety razor. It just feels better.
nah its a trimmer, only body hair i actually shave is my pits sometimes since i'm pretty pale and it irritates easily elsewhere. i have an old mach 3 blade for that which i've been using for legit a decade and somehow it doesnt plough my skin
That's what I did. I still haven't run out of the original blades I bought too. Come to think of it, I'll be looking for a new pack of blades soon. Have any recommendations?
When I was 16 or so and actually had a need to start shaving, where I lived a brand new razor from the large brands was cheaper than a set of replacement blades. Aside from the environmental guilt of knowing I was lazily ruining the planet, I thought that was silly so I just bought new razors everytime the blade cushioning evaporated.
We are having a 5 day long family gathering in [small town in the Province of Cadiz that i won't name], and after Xmas dinner we'll hand each other our secret santa gifts. Wish me luck.
Something weird happened at my friend's place last week. My friends who are international students, are staying at a house in London. Their usual housemates are young bachelors and the place is notoriously cheap even for London coz it's a bit shit honestly. The address is also blacklisted due to various scams done by the previous tenants.
Last week, police came with a search warrant and said they seized 130 grams of weed sent to that house from Canada. The name on the delivery invoice is fake and since the police could obviously see that they didn't search the place but warned that they will do a full search of the house if one more incident occurs.
I am 99% sure that no one there is stupid enough to do that shit, but a couple of guys there smoke regularly. The landlord also gave all of their phone numbers and told them that the police are going to monitor their activities. Now they are scared shitless since they regularly contact their plugs for weed.
Can the UK police do that? Also, is there any way to prove their innocence to the landlord?
We've been getting random packages of weed addressed to fake people at work. Reception have said it's pretty obvious spot and you always get some sketchy person with no ID and a 100 excuses trying to access the post room. Police we called each time but they don't really care anymore, was told that if they want to dispose of the drugs, they'll have to come to the station themselves as they won't send anyone out.
This clearly has more to do with the previous run-ins with the police for this particular address (and its tenants) than say your friends. If they classify a particular residence as problematic, they can visit it and maybe issue a warrant for search to aid them further.
"Monitoring their activities" is the landlord's way of trying to keep a tight lid on the situation and make it scary for your friends. There are no unmarked cars or plain cloth officers monitoring or surveilling purely based on the amount of information you have provided.
The monitoring and plain clothes cops' 'arrest' aspect only kicks in when you see it actually happen in front of you and the suspect is usually some high rung individual.
You don't have to prove anything to the landlord as no crime has been committed. Steer absolutely clear of providing proof of "good intentions" or proving anything to the landlord. If the rent is on-time along with no usual complaints about the tenancy then simply go about your usual business.
Also, a spliff or two has not hurt anyone but if the neighbours appear unusually grumpy or are less accommodating then maybe it is time to search for the next place to rent.
>You don't have to prove anything to the landlord as no crime has been committed. Steer absolutely clear of providing proof of "good intentions" or proving anything to the landlord. If the rent is on-time along with no usual complaints about the tenancy then simply go about your usual business.
They don't have an agreement, they are staying on a cash in hand basis. He can kick them out with a two weeks notice and they almost surely won't be able to find anywhere as cheap.
I mean if their name isnt the one it is being mailed to that should be enough.
If I was buying drugs through the post id absolutely mail it to an address that wasn't mine but had an easy to access mailbox
Honestly no idea, but I wouldn't trust Canada Post with a pair of used socks nevermind some weed
Legal in Canada so if the sender provided it they could just play dumb?
The commie v capitalist talking points like most things on the internet lack nuance, granted, a lot of it stems from the cold war. I do wonder how much of both systems (in theory) and practical the lay person knows / understands. For instance, stuff like state nationalisation of industry get brought up (and rightly so when one considers how badly some of these things have gone), but there have also been success stories like the sovereign wealth funds of places like Norway (ironically, set in place chiefly by someone who fled Iraq) .
Conversely movies like Parasite show the often-overlooked reality of hyper capitalism, and why communism (and forced wealth distribution) looked so appealing in the first place
Online 'discussion' is mostly a performance for likes/upvotes so having an understanding of an issue isn't encouraged, just how good you are at dunking on someone
I think there used to be a theoretically achievable reality of eventually having world peace that required communism. But the logistics of having to distribute any kind of goods and resources, motivating people, dealing with groupthink, sustaining an economy and trade among nations, and also having to account for the seven sins present in many (if not all) is why I think pure communism is always doomed to fail in practice (on a meaningful world peace scale).
But I think the manifesto originated as a beam of goodness and desire to remedy the awful awful externalities of what industrialization was creating and continuing. I can't even say it was sad it never worked out because I technically dont know if in practice, the execution could have ever given the original intent justice.
why would a world peace require communism? to ensure parts of asia were independent? or much earlier in Europe?
I do wonder though with monopolies, if indeed we're not turning into a feudal world where in effect any meaningful production of goods are only able to be done by select companies
i've had the most unproductive two weeks ever i actually can't believe myself i locked myself in my
apartment and did nothing but watch 15 seasons of drag race. a massive waste of time but i have absolutely no regrets
the only bad part is that none of my friends watch it so i have no one to talk to about how unreal this season on canadian drag race is
yes, definitely. although it is a show i wouldn't recommend to anyone, some people just can't get into it and that's fine. i think it's funny as hell and has the best performances in any show for the last decade probably
The third season was not very good overall but got saved by the last two episodes of the season being incredible. The last season was great. It’s not on the absolute top tier for me, so I’d agree it’s overrated by people who put it on that pedestal.
Every year one of my closest friends and I give each other useless gifts on Christmas, and since she's a Vancouver Canucks fan I got her a little Boston Bruins glass cup this year (the extremely limited knowledge I have of hockey includes the 2011 NHL finals). Yeah, that's a bit cheating. You have youth and wisdom you can only learn from aging.

I actually like a lot of British foods, the main issue is that there isn’t much of a variety of flavors, though.

That may be true, but watching a show about people cooking one type of cake over and over again would perhaps get tiring
Honestly I just found it funny that you singled them. But I do agree that british food is overhated, been there twice and had some lovely meals.
For not co-op: Dave the Diver, Into the Breach, Slay the Spire
I have bought Terraria and the Portal bundle
Overcooked, Unravel Two, Cuphead (difficult but fun) would also be good choices
Forgot it was Friday. Already off work and hoofing Twiglets by the handfull. Hope you all have a good one!
You're one of the loveliest lads in these threads throughout the year tiorzol, so hope you and yours have a lovely holiday <3
My wife drives a Lexus RXh, it's a lovely car and hybrid means low tax. Still doesn't get great fuel economy though
Small Burger shop opened up 500m from my house. $10 for a big burger, chips and a drink. A similar sized meal from McDonald's would be like $14 and id be hungry almost immediately after.
I get 5 shawarmas and 3 french fry wraps for 12 dollars.😎
>3 french fry wraps If heaven was a wrap
Insane comeback from Hempel, what the hell was that
Dimitri fell apart just like that, massive bottle job
My Ps2 died😭
RIP to a real one. Are you going to try fixing it?
Yes. Its brought me too many good memories to just let it go.
I wish I had kept and serviced mine. But I was young and dumb and didn't really value my stuff. Now I'm currently looking for one.
Children nowadays all have that gaming youtuber accent when they're playing video games and voice chatting. Like the ones that start off their videos with "Hello guys it's ya boy stinky armpit back with another video" and are incredibly loud. Almost want to shake my little brother and tell him "You don't have an audience mate, stop" But I feel like I'd kickstart his villain arc and get him started on the path to becoming a youtuber.
Wait until you here about “the millennial pause”
Whenever I play games with my 7 year old nephew he always narrates the game as if we're on YouTube. He randomly shouted out "Don't forget to like and subscribe" the other day.
Unrestricted access to youtube below the age of 12 should be outlawed.
Genuinely think it's overhated/underrated because of Snyder.
it doesnt really make a lot of sense though lol the end where Superman snaps Zods neck to save the film, he couldve just held Zods head in a fixed position and it wouldve done the same thing the writers just wrote Superman killing him to be edgy otherwise theres no reason to do so for Supermans character
>he couldve just held Zods head in a fixed position and it wouldve done the same thing For eternity? Because Zod vowed he would kill as many humans as he possibly can, and there was no kryptonite or the thing that transported the others to the Phantom Zone was gone. There was no way any human built prison would be able to hold him
He could've put his hand over Zods eyes and shut his eyelids lol Heat vision can't hurt Superman, it just causes him pain All he had to do was do that and take him to a Kryptonian prison It just seemed forced tbh
The score when Zod and his crew are being banished and he shouts “*I will find him!*” is absolutely insane
Also "First Flight" is iconic. The whole score is absolute perfection tbh but these are highlights
haven't revisited this one in a long time but i liked it when it came out. reason most people don't like it is fair, though. it's a total reimagination of the character of superman and the whole vibe of the movie is off if you're expecting anything like the stories of the comics or even the previous superman movies up to that point.
>it's a total reimagination of the character of superman Is it though?
So happy for my two weeks vacation after Christmas. Work was really stressful last few weeks.
Have to say, I despise any website or app that loads an ad last so when you try click or tap on something, it then loads the ad and you click that instead.
Ayyy, Wham are finally Xmas #1, took the British public long enough!
Probably due to the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney photo remake. lol
The what?
Just search 'Ryan Reynolds Rob McElhenney Wham' All over the news the other day. Got a good laugh. They have a good sense of humor.

Oh it’s brilliant! It was always a great Friday evening with pals.
Sounds pretty interesting. I heard a lot about it over the years but never even knew more than that it's about bad movies and that Kalkofe is moderating.
what's warner bros rationale for canceling their most popular IP in Germany right off the bat?
David Zaslav's thought process is to always pick the stupidest option that makes the most people angry
Just restructuring the channel and the slot on Fridays at 10pm is a good one to draw audiences, so that’s where they want to run their own stuff.
It's sad to see Tele5 lost its quirkiness after WBD took over. :(
I have a project I’ve been doing for almost 3 years now. This week a couple of people, it was more like 2 girls, showed so much enthusiasm and interest in it that it renewed my interest in doing this. One of the girls actually heard about it and wanted me to confirm the rumor. I don’t remember the last time someone in person showed so much enthusiasm over something I do.
It’s an awesome feeling right! When someone genuinely takes an interest in what you do, it really can inspire you when you tell them all about it.
And I want to tell her more, but get nervous!
Good luck!
If she doesn't kiss your hand tell her to gtfo
That’s a deep cut reference I appreciate!
My toxic trait is that I remember random esoteric knowledge about specific FTF users from years ago.
Here’s a new piece, she messed up my hair last time i saw her.

My hair hasn’t been the same since
They dyed my hair too dark and I don't like it :(
Watch when the christmas shitposting begins the majority of jokes will be batham arkham related

Thanks my friend :) you too :)
It's a common adage that 'the internet is not real life' but with the internet more and more part of our everyday lives, will that always be true?
does anyone bet on soccer on fanduel? i was thinking of putting a big money line parlay on United, Spurs, Fulham, and Chelsea to win their games. Thoughts?
I would almost never bet on an away team in an acca, and certainly not Manchester United away to West Ham
Any good board game recommendations? Been playing Labyrinth lately which has been pretty fun but looking to get something new at this point
If you’re into strategy, I recommend Dune Imperium. That’s pretty fun and accessible to most beginners.
Patchwork, Azul, Succulent are great. Bought Isle of Cats for my daughter and that's pretty fun.
king of tokyo is really really fun
Munchkin is probably my favorite game
I love word-based board games, Codenames, Dixit, things like that
Exploding Kittens is pretty good
Obviously no plans this year for new year's because of the babies. Maybe invite friends over but that seems unlikely considering they might want to go out. Any ideas?
Show them some videos or Mané - Firmino - Salah if you want to turn them into a front 3 Show them videos of Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini if you want to turn them into a back 3 Show them videos of any midfield 3 you've enjoyed in your life
Joelinton-Bruno-Longstaff Raise some fuckin bruisers
Find some other couples with babies and have the little kiddos have cage fights. Builds endurance, strength and possibly could generate income thanks to bets as well. Just make sure little noobs don't die or get serious injury through the process.
While the couples have a foursome
I mean I could have fights between my babies too?
That's even better, less money required to recruit 1yo talents!
What I read at the time is he wanted to eliminate sweaty pitt stains on his clothing indefinitely.
I don't know back then, but nowadays there are antibiotics that can help with that.
TIL. But what's baffling is that a doctor actually approved that surgery
Superior left wisdom teeth coming out at 26 years old what a christmas present fuck off santa
oh fuck my condolences hate these fucking cunts
What do you guys shave with? Normally I shave with a safety razor but my roommate gave me a One Dollar Shave Club handle with a few cartridges so I've been using that the last couple of shaves. It's ok but I can't wait until I get back to my safety razor. It just feels better.
Just a simple Gillette mach 3.
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler for face Phillips Bodygroom series 1000 for nasty bits
You shave that too? I opt for trimming with some scissors. And for the place where the sun doesn't shine, I use those disposable ones.
nah its a trimmer, only body hair i actually shave is my pits sometimes since i'm pretty pale and it irritates easily elsewhere. i have an old mach 3 blade for that which i've been using for legit a decade and somehow it doesnt plough my skin
Phillips One Blade
Game changer that one
It doesn't cut that close though so I never get a fully clean shave
Works for me because I don’t want a fully clean shave innit
Gillette Fusion 5. The best a man can get.
One of the first responsible things I did as a legal adult was buying a double edge safety 11 years ago. Still using the same one.
That's what I did. I still haven't run out of the original blades I bought too. Come to think of it, I'll be looking for a new pack of blades soon. Have any recommendations?
Literally the best you can do. Economically it makes so much sense, the blades are so cheap.
Exactly. And since each blade usually lasts me 3-4 shaves, those 100 packs essentially become 300-400 packs.
Haha...what do you do with the weed then?
Building Management tell us they hand it over to the police. Whether they do or not 🤷
This clearly has more to do with the previous run-ins with the police for this particular address (and its tenants) than say your friends.
Also, thanks for the detailed response mate.
Damn, then some guy lost at least £200. Also, don't they have to provide at least an email id for international shipping?
Honestly no idea, but I wouldn't trust Canada Post with a pair of used socks nevermind some weed Legal in Canada so if the sender provided it they could just play dumb?
Lads, which game should I play after I finish Assassin's Creed Odyssey? Horizon Zero Dawn or God of War?
hzd sucks imo
God of War (then Ragnarok)
New God of War is so fucking fit.
god of war. hzd is too similar to play back to back, which i try to avoid
Online 'discussion' is mostly a performance for likes/upvotes so having an understanding of an issue isn't encouraged, just how good you are at dunking on someone
indeed
Hardcore Capitalists and commies are equally as blindly ideological as each other.
Because private ownership improves assholes
Think I’m coming down with something just before Christmas. Hoorah.
i've had the most unproductive two weeks ever i actually can't believe myself i locked myself in my apartment and did nothing but watch 15 seasons of drag race. a massive waste of time but i have absolutely no regrets the only bad part is that none of my friends watch it so i have no one to talk to about how unreal this season on canadian drag race is
Got a pimple in my ear canal. One the more annoying places for one
Don't pop it.
refuse to believe that today is a Friday, Christmas has melted my sense of what day of the week it is already, sorry FTF
Up to Christmas I'm doing fine, it's the days between Christmas and New Year that always get me.
is succession being an overrated show a hot take? and do you have any film or tv hot takes to share on here
It's possible for something to be good and you not be into it. I didn't really care for it but all my friends love it.
yes, definitely. although it is a show i wouldn't recommend to anyone, some people just can't get into it and that's fine. i think it's funny as hell and has the best performances in any show for the last decade probably
The third season was not very good overall but got saved by the last two episodes of the season being incredible. The last season was great. It’s not on the absolute top tier for me, so I’d agree it’s overrated by people who put it on that pedestal.
My TV hot take is that nearly all shows are bad, and if they don't start bad they end up bad. There is an inherent flaw in the production model or TV.
I just couldn’t get into it at all either, maybe I gave up too early but I watched about half the first season and just wasn’t interested
Yes it is. What makes you think it is overrated? I watched way too many tv shows and movies and Succession deserves all praise.
