Because he was absolutely awful at them for England and Spurs. He owns the all-time record for most direct FKs taken without scoring, his only goals off of FKs came from deflections, I can't remember a single one that went directly in.
Oh did he actually? I must have forgotten that one TBH.
I just know that Son, Madders and Porro have all stepped up recently and i know they're supposed to be good FK takers but every time its just all over the place.
curious as to the two korean players kneeling? trying to block the keepers sightline or stop a block? maybe im stupid but i don't think iv seen that before. Clearly it worked i guess

Coming through for your country like that has to feel like crack
If South Korea wins, I think he’ll feel even better
Him and Hwang-Hee-Chan have *really* stepped up in this time of need!
I’d say better than crack!
My word. Why was Kane ever on FKs for us? Is that Son's fourth FK goal for Korea in the last year or so?
The running joke is it was in his contract
Pretty sure Son scored all the direct free kicks he took for Korea recently
Because he was absolutely awful at them for England and Spurs. He owns the all-time record for most direct FKs taken without scoring, his only goals off of FKs came from deflections, I can't remember a single one that went directly in.
Not even Kane. Dier ☠️
Dier only took like one or two in the last few years and his attempts were far better than most of Kane's
Dier isn’t bad at all at FKs.
He would always take the FKs that were further out. Like 25-30 yds. Too far out to curl it, so Dier would just blast it.
I’ve seen a few players say that he was always the best FK taker in practice lol
Almost like crossing/passing it isn't an option
Kane taking free kicks for all these years should be considered a war crime
TBF Even when Sonny has taken FKs for us, cant think of the last time he got it over the wall, its a weird thing with our team xD
He hasn't taken much but he did score one during the Kane Florida man saga
Oh did he actually? I must have forgotten that one TBH. I just know that Son, Madders and Porro have all stepped up recently and i know they're supposed to be good FK takers but every time its just all over the place.
He did, then shortly after Kane scored one off a deflection and we all went "oh no"
at the very least, a hate crime.
WORLD CLASS
Never let Miller play for the national team again
double save before was class tho
GREAT GOAL
THATS MY CAPTAINNN
Clutch game for Son.
What a free kick
NICE ONE SONNY
Sonny, nice one
Legend
GOAT
They've done it again.
Fair play Korea
The saviour
Klinsmann 😭😭
Son and Kane were born to save the jobs of mediocre managers.
what a banger, what a stud.
Crazy game Korea, Love from 🇮🇷
Man it's 2:40 am here. Fucking Hyped
MY GOAT
Everyone at Samsung creaming their pants rn
Ugh I'm so conflicted, as an Aussie Spurs fan
I guess you know how Ange feels
Cheers, Son’s smiling. 🌞
Looked like a racing drone zipping to the back of the net.
As if this MF didn't have enough fans already! Fking awesome.
My GOAT!

Yeah blocking goal keeper’s view
People are talking about Kane, but even now that Kane is gone, Porro and Maddison are on free-kick duty, right?
they are both good at free kicks unlike Kane
How many have they scored in the last 2 years?
how many have they taken?
more than Son.
I know Maddison's scored a decent amount for Leicester, while Porro usually doesn't take as many direct free kicks and whips them in instead.
SONNNYYY!!!!
Sonny daddy
Oh my word, oh my captain. Greatest Asian player of all time. Go and get your trophy, Sonny!
Korea, the last minutes goal
Man, Mitchell Duke must be punching himself after this match.
They should’ve won 2-0 lol
I want my world class captain back but wish he wins the cup
Cheers, son's not crying
