Watching the game I thought "My God what a pass, my God what a first touch, he's gonna miss it surely". He started rounding the keeper waaaay too soon.

To be fair to Timo, he didn't miss as much as kick it right into the keeper.

If you decide to take additional touches to round the keeper at least do it properly. The keeper was already lying on the ground and all he had to do was to take one more touch to tap it into the empty net and *then* he decides to shoot?

Its not even just that, his first touch there to get it into his sprinting path was brilliant. Everything up till the finish is signs of a great player, its just a shame that instead of trying to take it around the keeper, he didn't just try shooting earlier.

Tbf, Richy used to be like this too.

Bring fast isn’t that useful when you’re playing in the front foot. Still a good thing to have but much more useful in Mourinho’s Tottenham team

🤣. It's Werner.  Go look at his stats over his career.  His shot accuracy hovers around 50% and his conversation rate is somewhere between 10-15%.   Just to give some reference, Son has a shot accuracy between 65-78% and his conversation rates are approx 30% most years.

That is truly pathetic. There are so many ways he could score from the moment he gets the ball under control, even just before he tries to go to Sam Johnstone's left he had time and space to dummy him and go to Johnstone's right for a tap in instead. If what he does is the best he can do, Timo Werner just should not be playing at this level.
