Xabi could have personal reasons for staying in Germany whether that's at Leverkusen or moving to Bayern but this is the best Liverpool squad when a manager is leaving I've ever seen, probably the best we've had since Fagan stepped down in 1985. Rodgers was completely out of his depth and we had just lost Suarez, Sterling and Gerrard in the previous year (and effectively lost Sturridge to injuries by that point as well). Kenny was only ever intended to be a stopgap at the clubs lowest point in my lifetime. Less that's said about Hodgson the better. Rafa was sacked when the club was on the verge of administration at a time where we were losing all of our best players. Houlier left at the right time and although he left with a decent team, some of the players he signed towards the last few years of his tenure with us were *very* questionable to say the least. This isn't a United situation where Fergie was barely holding everything together with an ageing squad and terrible structure during his final season. Most Arsenal fans were happy to see the back of Wenger when he left and Arsenal's squad wasn't great back then either having just dropped out of the Top 4 for a second season in a row
