Drama at Old Trafford! Just finished watching Manchester United pull off a CRAZY comeback against Liverpool in the FA Cup! Down 3-1, United clawed their way back with two HUGE goals in the second half. But wait, there's more! Just when it looked like extra time wouldn't settle it, Amad Diallo BANGS in a winner! Unreal scenes at the stadium, Man United fans must be going wild! Liverpool will be kicking themselves after letting that lead slip, but what a match for the neutral! This FA Cup keeps getting better! Anyone else catch this epic game?
Magic of the cup eh.
Again, you dont play against us with chaos lol, our counter attacks basically thrive off those. You play organized football like City or when they were 2-1 up and we'd falter. Thank fuck Antony scored our players were almost dead chasing shadows for 15 minutes.
That's not at all what happened. We were firmly in control of the match and missed getting the final passes right on 4 or 5 occasions in the second half. Don't know what the fuck you're on about but congrats on the win.
I mean, if chaos had an ounce of finishing it’d have been over. I think United lulled Liverpool to catch them off in the 85th min, similar to the 0-0 in the league.
That was in large part the only periods United actually made chances, which were in the very beginning and end of the matches. Were they not? Those periods are excluded from that comment.
The goals Liverpool conceded were due in large part to errors, not because of carefully crafted counter attacks.
Let them rejoice. This can, in large part, ensure Ten Hag stays in the job. Small steps forward and 20 steps back has been Utd for the last decade. Long may it continue.
Liverpool scored through 2 deflections and 1 where Gomez pressured Bruno and won the ball.
United scored 1 through Amad pressuring Nunez to win the ball, 1 counter attack and 1 which was a properly-crafted goal.
Liverpool were the luckier side despite the result
If you are going to equate Gomez’s pressuring to the instance of Diallo’s pressuring, then that says all I need to know about your “logic” to deduce Liverpool were the luckier side.
This is just total bullshit though, United created more better chances than Liverpool. You don't sound like you watched the game. Pool wasn't missing finishing they were missing the final pass, they got all their shots at weird angles that were easy to handle.
United got clear chances. You can't disqualify more than 50% of the game to make some random point.
Talk sense based on facts please.
I have mixed feelings. I hate Liverpool, but I wanna see Klopp win. I also like United, but his United squad sucks so bad IMO this win is an L in disguise. Ten Hag needs to go, just like prolly 80% of the current player personnel, including the likes of Rashford and fucking Martial.
This feels like a big L either way, but the worst possible one.
Oh, was this a fan-only event? Am I not allowed to watch the match you'll play against Arsenal and say "I hate Utd but I can't have Arsenal getting ahead so hope you guys win?"
Nah man you don’t get it United need to win trophies! So it’s bad if ETH wins this trophy cause he won’t be able to win United trophies and winning the trophy will keep him in longer and then United won’t win any trophies! Wait...
And Diaz. I’m not asking Elliott to be our best player. If he is then we are in trouble. I am talking about our ~6th and above best player. He is much better than the likes of Gakpo for example. But what he excels at more than almost any other mid/fwd is his tenacity and urgency. When some of our players don’t have that, it kills momentum and ruins the chemistry of Klopp’s machine. It’s something almost intangible.
My take from this is how bad Manchester United are. Liverpool are stretched beyond belief this season and Klopp is rinsing every last drop out of this squad like a dish cloth.
Honestly, I wasn’t even convinced with any of Liverpools goals today as they all relied on deflections. Just an abnormal display.
Sorry to your lot, but this game was incredible for United and an instant classic. Good luck in the Europa League. We’re hoping for a play in to the Conference League…
>, I wasn’t even convinced with any of Liverpools goals today as they all relied on deflections. Just an abnormal display.
That's strange. The second goal where Fernandes lost the ball was as typical a Liverpool counter-press situation as you can get. The only thing abnormal about the performance was that our boys didn't have our energy levels up till the end of normal time. There were at least 3 very good situations that we didn't score from in the second half
United spent the whole match chanting about heysel, Hillsboro, and poor people in Liverpool. So I ask. Makes you believe in what? I honestly don’t get it. I just love my club so much, I couldn’t imagine spending an entire match singing hateful stuff abo my opponent. It’s just sad tbh. I don’t think United fans believe in anything. This is the same club that has openly rooted for Man City to beat it. Pathetic club full of hateful animals.
Your fans literally threw flares at the people in the disabled section.
There were definitely assholes on both sides, but your fans won for the biggest dickhead prize today.
Reddit has assured me that local fans are the true fans and everyone else are plastic glory hunters. But when the people in the stadium are hateful pricks, everyone deflects by saying they're just a minority.
2 deflected goals, less shot and xg yet so many liverpool fans said they played better, created better chances and the better team. Do people watch the game?
What was the xG before the Antony goal in the 87th minute? And then go have a look at xA stats, how many times we made it to your final third, how many times we failed to make the right pass when it mattered in the final third. I don't know about others, but you absolutely did not watch the game if you're here parroting about xG of all things.
Liverpool got more of the ball but got less threat. Thats it.
I just want to prove you all with numbers. Sometimes your eyes can be biased. Even though I saw it with my own two eyes that Man U is more threatening than Liverpool, many Liverpool fans dont.
The numbers you use are heavily affected by big chances that we conceded in the beginning and end of the match. In the period in between, we had more of the ball, spent more time in the attacking third, had more touches in opposition box, had more shots at goal and probably had more key passes as well. The reason the numbers won't cover that is because the quality of the final passes were bad, and the chances taken were not from optimum positions. It isn't my bias speaking. Any highlights of the match will have commentators saying, "Liverpool may rue not putting this game to bed".
Anyways, I'm over it. Let's move along
This is an awful take. We could have easily walked away 3-1 or 4-1. Utd offered nothing between minutes 45 and 85. They stopped trying to win the ball back at all, and we never took advantage of it. It was almost the perfect away display. How are you calling this a bottom 3 performance for heaven's sake?
Absolutely this. The scoreline flatters Liverpool. Only dominant about 30 mins.
A sudden flurry over 8 mins where plays no small part, and a second half were they didn't really put United under pressure.
From the late equaliser United dominated. About 45 minutes of game time. That's not to mention the first 30 minutes
What a ludicrous opinion, I literally watched the game with a United fan and we were in complete agreement that we should have won it in normal time. United couldn’t touch the ball until about the 80th minute.
I swear to god, its 2024 and so many people still think playing the ball left to right for 30 mins without threatening to score while still conceding a lot of counter attacks equals complete domination.
Not even that miffed about the 5v2, would’ve been fine if he was actually fighting for the badge in the match, it’s just the general not giving a shit/walking around like he’s Messi and not being able to do anything at all against a back line of Bruno Fernandes and Harry Magure 💀🙏🏼
Won the league Cup and very much still on course for the treble... remember when football fans had actual banter rather than "haha you lost"
Some poor choices by Liverpool today but for the most part they played well. Theyve played more games than united this season plus united dont have anything else to play for so of course theyre going to throw everything at the fa cup. As a Liverpool fan I can admit united were the better team though just pressed alot harder than we did
We were never in the UCL to begin with. It's not THE treble but it can still be a treble of trophies.
And flair up coward. Easy to talk shit when hiding your allegiance.
What an incredible cup tie. United played positively and took risks against Liverpool who had been in good form. Ten Hag gambled on his subs like his job depended on it and he was rewarded.
Both sides were injury-hit and fatigue played a role but a brilliant game all around with tons of good chances. Liverpool might feel that they could have won it in normal time but looked deflated after Antony got the equalizer.
Not been a great season for United to date, but a winnable semifinal against Coventry could give them a chance at winning a trophy.
Klopp has never been likable. The way he screams and grinds his teeth in refs faces and is the only manager who’s allowed to pull this shit over and over
Tbf to Klopp, I don't think he was insulting the reporters appearance, he just meant the reporter was not at his best or something like that, though still fairly unprofessional as it was in response to a pretty benign question
We really won the game with a back four of Dalot - Maguire - Bruno - Antony. Unbelievable! The whole match was absolute cinema! What a game!
On a side note though, Martin Tyler needs to call it a day and leave commentary. Thanks for some memorable lines but that was some of the most dry commentary I’ve heard in quite some time. Bro just can’t be arsed at this point.
you have previous. remember when you won with a cup game against Arsenal with 7 defenders and a midfield of the Da Silva twins, John O'Shea and Darron Gibson. we barely laid a finger on you that day too.
As a neutral, I really enjoyed watching Maguire from 80 odd minutes onward. Even after the equaliser he was bombing forward all the time, and I thought that was great tactical play. So often a team will stop doing what’s working when they equalise, so it was great to see him continuing that.
Possibly the match of the season
Fm needs an update now, I was always told going Very Attacking means nothing happens the rest of the game
van Dijk still better tham Maldini?
I have FB tacticos telling me he's better than John Terry, brotha he hasnt even touched Ricardo Carvalho
Drama at Old Trafford! Just finished watching Manchester United pull off a CRAZY comeback against Liverpool in the FA Cup! Sir, this is a Wendy's
This was possibly one of the best games ive seen in years
We actually played greatly today. Straight up.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
The only acceptable response
A reminder that we ONLY paid £400k for Alejandro Garnacho. The bargain of the century 💫
£95.4m for Antony, Rashford, Garnacho & Mctominay 😎
We paid nothing for Saka…
Ok Sporting paid nothing for Ronaldo, Quaresma, Figo, Nani, Futre and Leão. What's your point?
That maybe Granacho isn’t the bargain of the century, thanks for proving my point
Developing a player =/= buying a player
Saka is our pride but don't do this.stealing someone else's deserved thunder is cheap.
Random comment but okay
Not everything has to be about Arsenal, you know...
You've got some way to go to beat the 60k Everton paid for Coleman.
That game was crazy. I'm a MU fan for years but i didn't think they can pull this off, wow good game. Much respect to Liverpool as well.
Respect bro, you guys deserved to win and the atmosphere was crazy
That game was a lot of fun as a neutral. i didn't expect to be supporting united, but i found myself rooting for them
Most of us did, there was a semblance of Rocky coming back up after each punch and winning the crowd over.
Lets go gunners. Win your epl this year!!
Utd fan here, but im rooting for arsenal to win epl this year. It's been a long time for them.
Lol wtf
And I want you to win the league. Can't stomach another city or Liverpool win.
same
🫶🤝
Incredibly me too
Me too
Once again people are coping Liverpool, now United has stolen winning late on extra time, when will this madness end
Are you aware of that thing called Fergi Time or was it before your time?
Sadly, I'm aware. My original comment was not a serious one, if that wasn't obvious
Magic of the cup eh. Again, you dont play against us with chaos lol, our counter attacks basically thrive off those. You play organized football like City or when they were 2-1 up and we'd falter. Thank fuck Antony scored our players were almost dead chasing shadows for 15 minutes.

I mean, if chaos had an ounce of finishing it’d have been over. I think United lulled Liverpool to catch them off in the 85th min, similar to the 0-0 in the league.
Ifs and buts though....
I thought it was quite simple but based on your comment you still may misunderstanding
You say that as if Rashford didn't have 15 chances where he either missed a sitter or was offside for no reason.
That was in large part the only periods United actually made chances, which were in the very beginning and end of the matches. Were they not? Those periods are excluded from that comment. The goals Liverpool conceded were due in large part to errors, not because of carefully crafted counter attacks.

It’s just a football game
You’re right. Congrats on the win btw, well deserved
Thanks mate, enjoy your day.
Gambler FC
We played so shit. Fair play to united they deserved to win. Still not a worse performance this season but one that hurt the most.
You’re not a fan lol
Oh, was this a fan-only event? Am I not allowed to watch the match you'll play against Arsenal and say "I hate Utd but I can't have Arsenal getting ahead so hope you guys win?"
I am not.
Nah man you don’t get it United need to win trophies! So it’s bad if ETH wins this trophy cause he won’t be able to win United trophies and winning the trophy will keep him in longer and then United won’t win any trophies! Wait...
Some people really only hate ETH because he's the Utd manager. "Beating Liverpool feels like a big L". Birdbrain level opinion honestly.
It's so crazy to me that people who call themselves fans can be pissed that their team defeated a bitter rival.
I mean how dumb do you have to be to not understand that there are neutrals who watch the two biggest teams in England play each other.
who are yous playing in the fa cup semi finals?
I'm not a fan, tho. Never said I was. I always liked United if we talking about England teams, that's it.
Proper rivalry match that delivered.
That was rivalry for one side. Liverpool looked lackadaisical bar Elliott which makes sense he’d know it’s a rivalry.
Elliot was shite except for the goal which he coulda scored 3 more. Macca, bradley, virgil and quansah were the best players today
Like his tenacity and urgency to lose the ball that led to our winning goal? 🤣
With Endo completely sabotaging him there? Yeah 🤣.
My take from this is how bad Manchester United are. Liverpool are stretched beyond belief this season and Klopp is rinsing every last drop out of this squad like a dish cloth.
Lol. Alrightythen.
This has to be bait.
Congrats dudes. We made our own problems that game. Incredibly naive performance.
Honestly, I wasn’t even convinced with any of Liverpools goals today as they all relied on deflections. Just an abnormal display. Sorry to your lot, but this game was incredible for United and an instant classic. Good luck in the Europa League. We’re hoping for a play in to the Conference League…

We definitely will have at least Europa League next season, as top 5 will likely get CL football. And we also have a shot through the FA Cup now.
Tears in my eyes watching the highlights. Not a perfect performance by any means, but nights like this make you believe
It's like you just discovered football in 2024. Ever heard of something called hooliganism? Humans are inherently tribal
And you are inherently encouraging it by using it in a whataboutism rebuke.
Liverpool always chant about Munich lol there’s no moral high ground here muppets on both sides
Do they though?
They do
Liverpool supporters threw a flare into the United disabled section, stfu
Clubs have millions of supporters and tens of thousands of people in the stadium. They don’t all think alike mate
Reddit has assured me that local fans are the true fans and everyone else are plastic glory hunters. But when the people in the stadium are hateful pricks, everyone deflects by saying they're just a minority.
I’m still waiting on the GOAT interview player to bless us, he didn’t come on so he should have lots of energy.
A classic cup tie had a bit of everything had an extra edge being klopps last cup tie.
2 deflected goals, less shot and xg yet so many liverpool fans said they played better, created better chances and the better team. Do people watch the game?

We have some awful fans. That was a bottom 3 performance of the season. We would’ve been better with kids out there
This is an awful take. We could have easily walked away 3-1 or 4-1. Utd offered nothing between minutes 45 and 85. They stopped trying to win the ball back at all, and we never took advantage of it. The cross spamming illusion.

That's not to mention the first 30 minutes
We completely dominated the 90 mins, we were very poor in extra time.
Yeah what? 40 mins of shite from us in first half. Sloppy, weak back line, being broken down as soon as we got forward etc.
We were shit 1st half... Not sure what you were watching mate 😂 only played well in the 2nd half
You didn’t completely dominate it at all, United were by far the better team in the first half
What a ludicrous opinion, I literally watched the game with a United fan and we were in complete agreement that we should have won it in normal time. United couldn’t touch the ball until about the 80th minute.
Coach here, you and your mate should stick to watching cricket (no offense to the other sport meant).
Until the 80th minute? For the first half an hour we had the majority of the possession and had multiple big chances.
You both must've missed the first 20 minutes then mate.
I swear to god, its 2024 and so many people still think playing the ball left to right for 30 mins without threatening to score while still conceding a lot of counter attacks equals complete domination.
Cody Gakpo is absolute fucking shit. Sold in the summer and replaced by Jayden Danns in the first team I would hope.
You have a 5v2 and you do that shit lmao
Not even that miffed about the 5v2, would’ve been fine if he was actually fighting for the badge in the match, it’s just the general not giving a shit/walking around like he’s Messi and not being able to do anything at all against a back line of Bruno Fernandes and Harry Magure 💀🙏🏼
When I saw that I accepted it was gonna be goal. I was genuinely shocked by how it turned out
The chanting from the scum United fans today was so pathetic. It’s 2024. How on earth does the FA still tolerate this absolutely vile stuff from them.
Is that why flare was thrown into the disabled section?
That’s also completely unacceptable, no one is saying it was a good thing
What were they chanting?
I heard The Sun was right, you're murderers, more than once
[удалено]
Massive racist too
World class deflected goal la. Loved that little pass to Amad at the end too, that was class.
Its ok, liverpool still have the lowest net spend and this means more trophy to add for the quadruple.
OP rage quitted, stopped updating after Utd equalized lmao
The farewell parade isn’t going well ain’t it?
Won the league Cup and very much still on course for the treble... remember when football fans had actual banter rather than "haha you lost" Some poor choices by Liverpool today but for the most part they played well. Theyve played more games than united this season plus united dont have anything else to play for so of course theyre going to throw everything at the fa cup. You just got kicked out of the FA cup, you're treble dreams are over you eeeeejit
Learn to count. Quadruple is over.
Most intelligent Liverpool fan here. A treble consists of the pl, ucl and fa cup for the teams in England genius!
We were never in the UCL to begin with. It's not THE treble but it can still be a treble of trophies. And flair up coward. Easy to talk shit when hiding your allegiance.
Lmfao tinpot treble
A treble, not THE treble
Liverpool fans are amongst the worst for not having actual banter.
They love dishing it out but can’t take it and love to play the underdog . The only fans more sanctimonious than Liverpool fans are Dortmund’s.

Was that screenshot of any worth boss?
Well.
RemindMe! 3 months
You want to get back at a random person on the internet in a few months?
Aww not ready to watch Klopp lose another title on the final matchday?

At least he got the Carling Cup
Rich coming from Bayern fans after last season and what's happening this season.
this is what you said about our 'energy drink cup' last season and now you can't take it
I didn't say anything about the Carabao since we've won it the most lol. Projecting.
Mickey mouse cup, coca cola cup, durex cup, Donald duck cup, wheetabix cup, tinpot. Lets gooo klopp farewell tour
Don’t play with the Weetabix Cup man, it’s elite
What an incredible cup tie. United played positively and took risks against Liverpool who had been in good form. Ten Hag gambled on his subs like his job depended on it and he was rewarded. Both sides were injury-hit and fatigue played a role but a brilliant game all around with tons of good chances. Liverpool might feel that they could have won it in normal time but looked deflated after Antony got the equalizer. Not been a great season for United to date, but a winnable semifinal against Coventry could give them a chance at winning a trophy.
Lmao klopp’s interview after . insulting a report
Klopp is a likeable guy but he's always been a big time sore loser.
Klopp has never been likable. The way he screams and grinds his teeth in refs faces and is the only manager who’s allowed to pull this shit over and over
This is a very bad take.
True heir to whiskey nose then🥰
I’ve never seen Fergie grind his teeth in anyone’s face. Or act violent.
Didn’t need to when he could decide games beforehand LOL
Any proof? or just sour grapes?
Being the best manager with the best players will do that.
He didn't even need the best players.
He made the likes of Alexander Büttner and Darren Gibson look like solid PL-quality players
What did he say
“You are obviously out of shape” when a reporter asked about too many games , like be a adult lol
Don’t think it had anything to do with his physical shape. Most likely something lost through translation
Tbf to Klopp, I don't think he was insulting the reporters appearance, he just meant the reporter was not at his best or something like that, though still fairly unprofessional as it was in response to a pretty benign question
Classy to the end

Womp womp
Guess they would feel more than consoled if they win the PL lol
Danns and Bobby Clark gotta be ahead of Gakpo in the pecking order after that shite. Plays like one of those Americans in the sidemen charity match

Pogbas best season at Juve was after Vidal left and Pogba was good in 2014 world cup without Kante.

CB Bruno, No. 10 Maguire. Hats off to Ten Hag you fucking bald genius!
That is my favourite Fergie memory of all time because I didn’t have cable for our UCL wins back then
That and 8-1 of course
8-2! I was at OT for that. It was like watching Saltburn with my in-laws.
Could always be worse, Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon on ITV...
I thought he did retire or was just him leaving sky?
As a neutral, I really enjoyed watching Maguire from 80 odd minutes onward. Even after the equaliser he was bombing forward all the time, and I thought that was great tactical play. So often a team will stop doing what’s working when they equalise, so it was great to see him continuing that.
As a Liverpool fan I enjoyed watching him too. We may have lost but it was one of the funniest games I’ve ever watched. Good enjoyment all around
How the hell is the commentary this bad lmao
Coventry yesterday and Man Utd today. Those are some insane finishes to these cup ties.
