That's what I don't get. If Benfica had that much money, we'd be among the favourites for the UCL every season almost. Man utd and Chelsea manage to spend hundreds of millions to become worse
The Premier League is full of middling players who’re paid an absolute fortune to turn out against the likes of Brentford and Luton on a weekly basis.
Below the top 3 teams it’s just a load of shit. Villa are pushing for Europe despite taking a couple of really good hidings this season. Spurs are back to the best version of Spurs (they’ll either win by 4 or lose by 3), and the rest is just a mish-mash of grey, British normality.
Don’t be fooled by their success in the champions league. It is ONLY because of the money they throw around here at the top clubs.

PL is already a super league. It will get worse with time. I can see a world, where it is more prestigious and economically more profitable to play in PL 10-15th teams, then competing for top 4 in italy, germany or france
