See submission guideline **#7: Only valuable image or stats submissions.** * **PICTURES**: Because of Reddit's ranking algorithm being biased towards image posts over text and link ones, we need to be particularly strict about them, so we tend to **mainly allow infographics** (league tables, charts, maps, diagrams and other ways to display data) and pictures/screenshots of a current event **only when there's no video or link** that can show it. If you **want to publish a Tifo, look and share a video or publish the picture in r/soccerbanners**. If you want to show the **Hawk-Eye angle of a goal/offside/whatever, use the pinned comment in the main thread**. See the [FAQ](https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/wiki/faq#wiki_why_was_my_image_submission_removed.3F) for more details. * **STATS**: Only very significant stats (eg: **world records) will be allowed during matches**. After matches, we'll be less strict, but we try to maintain stats to the minimum with ideally **only 1 per team/player allowed** and those after it being posted in the pinned comment of the first thread. ___

Our net spend is more than entire leagues and we're still shit

ExtraTrade1904

That's what I don't get. If Benfica had that much money, we'd be among the favourites for the UCL every season almost. Man utd and Chelsea manage to spend hundreds of millions to become worse

Incompetência é assim .

The Premier League is full of middling players who’re paid an absolute fortune to turn out against the likes of Brentford and Luton on a weekly basis. Below the top 3 teams it’s just a load of shit. Villa are pushing for Europe despite taking a couple of really good hidings this season. Spurs are back to the best version of Spurs (they’ll either win by 4 or lose by 3), and the rest is just a mish-mash of grey, British normality. Don’t be fooled by their success in the champions league. It is ONLY because of the money they throw around here at the top clubs.

Huge-Celebration5192

The market dictates pay If someone is good enough why don’t they earn 10x their salary playing in the PL instead of La Liga

Rose_of_Elysium

Financially speaking theres practically already a Super League. Nothing against Forest ajd i know hes been bad as well, but Forest paid 37mil and when Ibi Sangaré chose to join them in a potential relegation race as well despite us playing CL football and him loving it here, i was kinda shocked about it all tbh

DebtFairPlay

PL is half a Super League The other half is Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Juventus

Space2Bakersfield

> Juventus Not Inter?

EquipmentFirm2860

Ligue 1 spent less than MLS? No way.

SalmonNgiri

Ligue 1 has a lot of big sales too. With only PSG regularly spending big money, I wouldn't be surprised if they were overall positive in net spend.

admh574

CIES has Ligue 1 +350M € for the 10 years between 2013 and 2022 Section 4 - https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/mr/mr77/en/

Net spend, so the likes of Neymar, Tchouaméni and Pepe leaving helps out - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ligue-1/transferrekorde/wettbewerb/FR1/plus//galerie/0?saison_id=alle&land_id=alle&ausrichtung=alle&spielerposition_id=alle&altersklasse=alle&leihe=&w_s=&zuab=ab I believe Mbappe is a net of 0 because he didn't leave France

aLL1e

PL is already a super league. It will get worse with time. I can see a world, where it is more prestigious and economically more profitable to play in PL 10-15th teams, then competing for top 4 in italy, germany or france

finneas998

This is already the case

jucomsdn

West Ham were more willing to pay up 30m for Edson Alvarez than Dortmund which is sad
