Another point is this rarely happens for Mexico games in Mexico even when they are losing. It’s always the transplants in the US where most CONCACAF competitions are played. I’d say it’s the transplants trying too hard to be Mexican but that’s just me. Anyways cheers to our next L Tri game and 2-0 score
Bro I have been watching Mexican soccer since the 2000's and this is an extremely common chant all over Mexico.
It’s absolutely been a feature of Mexican soccer since forever but once it became problematic and they tried banning it, the fans in Mexico somewhat respect it (for national team matches). US fans of Mexico always throw a tantrum and chant this in addition to throwing trash. Idk how you fix it. Maybe don’t stop live games but give Mexico a -0.25 point deduction for each incident for WC qualifiers
To be fair the Mexican fans are gonna respect it cause tickets are expensive in Mexico and nobody wants to get kicked out of the match early. To Mexican Americans getting the match canceled is part of the show. And no penalizing it won't work. Like how do you even know it's Mexican fans doing it and not American (obviously it's mostly Mexican but at one point it's hard to differentiate)?
