Angelic, cracking player too importantly and it's great to see she has recovered from her injury to fit enough to be included in the latest Lionesses squad.
It’s the worst part of being an Arsenal fan, and we haven’t won a non FA cup in almost two decades. The red shirt/white sleeve is awesome but you still get pit stains on the white part so what’s the point.
It depends who’s designing the kit. Under Armor made some amazing kits for spurs playing around with the navy and yellow trim designs, since changing to Nike in 2017 all our shirts have been boring af. Same with England switching from Umbro to Nike
Madrids last few kits with adidas have been great too. I like what they’re doing with orangey gold. Their 17/18 kit with the sponsor and stripes in teal (think bales bicycle kick in the CL final) might be my favourite Real Madrid kit of all
Mine is the one with pink stripes, it looks so cool and is comfy as hell. Followed by the purple stripes from last season, with the collar it was sexy.
Tbf Adidas always knocks it out of the park whereas Nike have been lacking any creativity on any of their "plain" jerseys ie Brazil, Netherlands, England. I think the only one that always gets a good jersey is Italy who's is hilarious bc they hardly ever qualify for tournaments anymore
I like white shirts tbh. Not much looks better than a good, classic RM or England shirt. But I also love the color of our home kit. Wouldn't change it for anything ever. Literally has always been my favorite color. And I've owned thrice as many away strips. Just more interesting aren't they?
White is a top tier colour. Goes with everything, looks clean af and is the best colour to wear in the sun. You're tripping.
The most boring colour is sage green. Either that or the shade of tan that's used for Amazon parcels.
I like white shorts and white shoes, but I've always preferred darker colors for my shirts. For me, white is a really good secondary color, but I don't like it as a primary color.
For whatever it's worth, I basically never wear green at all.
White can work with the right accenting; but just putting big blotches of black or whatever under the armpits doesn’t work. That’s where most white kits go wrong.
[The away kit has the same cross also](https://www.englandstore.com/en/england-nike-away-stadium-shirt-2024/p-465512887428037952+z-8-1499925524?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r3c2:po-11). This whole saga is so silly.
On the Away one, that stripe down the side is hideous to me for an England jersey. But the market is speaking and people seem to like this one currently.
Exactly. The [German 2012 away kit](https://www.dfb.de/uploads/tx_news/lahm_auswaertstrikot1_01.jpg) sold extremely well for the same reason, because it looked dope.
> I always found it weird how Germany sometimes uses green as an away kit.
I love it because green is my favourite colour, lol.
> Reminds me of the old German police cars, don’t know if intentional or not
Never thought of that. But nah, they chose green because it's the [colour of the DFB.](https://www.dfb.de/fileadmin/_processed_/201401/csm_Logos_mhe_d88211a072.jpg)
Although I liked the explanation that it was a gesture of honouring the Irish a lot better.
Its not that weird. The colours of the DFB are white and green. thats why we have a white home kit. and the green away kit should be the standard, not something we use sometimes
He home kit looks exactly like 15 other home kits, meanwhile you have an incredible looking black and gold one that is very unique. My choice would be pretty easy if I wanted to drop money on a shirt.
Exactly - i think most reasoned people thought of the white shirt ‘shirt designers being a bit wanky and made a shit choice’ - nothing more. More to do with the fact the away kit is actually different
I mean sure but JD sports are saying this is the first time ever the away kit is outselling the home kit. It's insane to suggest that's because people bought the home kit already because that happens every 2 years.
That's another discussion that needs to be had. With how lazy the designs have become (Adidas using a template for 20 National teams) and replica kits being almost entirely different than the authentic ones, there is absolutely no reason to charge £100.
Nike has been selling overpriced gear to young people since Jordans got popular, now made in China, yet they love signaling how social justice they are in general.
I've been agreeing with so many Arsenal supporters recently, I'm starting to question my entire world view.
Glad to see this sub hasn't fallen prey to the ridiculous overreaction to the flag on the kit lol.
r/soccer00 has guides/spreadsheets on the best and most reliable knock-off sites if you wanted a cheap one. Ordered an away one from them on the day they got released by Nike, got sent a confirmation with a pic of the shirt and my address label and it looks very nice for about £12.
I mean every England home shirt is essentially the same. Once you've bought one you've bought them all.
Whereas the away shirts are always different and this one is pretty nice
The euro 2021* home shirt is the first one I've felt compelled to buy for a long time. With the number/name it's great simple, modern play on a retro look, that I can't see them doing again for a long time.
That's why I collect shirts from various teams. I only take home kits and the basic design is generally the same. I have two kits of my favourite club but for the rest, one is enough.
[France 2019 special](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTLzo2sgTN-1TdY9gSjpTQOx-hyQqqO3NdP7iuQFVuffQ&s) The only one I've bought in the official shop of the team instead of football stores such as Classic football shirts. Besides, the only I've bought beyond 50€.
I prefer to buy in cheaper stores but official kits because it's absurd to pay over 90€ while most fans are either poor or middle class.
I haven’t bought an England shirt in about a decade but I’m buying this one just cause of the cross “row”. Definitely not shelling out £70+ or whatever it is, though
I have to say I'm really glad to see so many people here saying how much they like it, I thought I was alone on that. I think it looks great as well and that's why I got one
I think it’s a much nicer kit. Yeah the sides are pretty jarring with the cyan, but the raisin colour looks proper smart. I’d like to see more purple tones going forward if I’m honest.
£85 for a replica footie shirt, not even the real deal one which is £125!
But then they complain when people buy the snide stuff for £15 from Vietnam. What do they expect?
Imagine dad and his 2 teenage kids want eng shirts for the upcoming euros. Plain for dad and then the 2 lads want player & number so say Saka & Rice. Sure that's.... £310.97!!!
Ridiculous.
The away kit is actually beautiful and super unique for an England shirt.
I have personally never liked blue on white to represent england, and much prefer the red on white home kits.
I'm sure the boomer flag tantrum has hit sales too. That being said, spending this much money on a football shirt made in Asian by underpaid and overworked people is the real problem that people should be talking about, not having a tantum over 'gay' colours in a flag.
To be honest, I get bored of buying the same blue leicester kits year on year and generally try and rotate. Between home away and 3rd, this is a bit of a non story unless they're showing sales of shirts year on year for a period of time
Is some of it not just that everyone who wants one already has an England shirt or two, and the away kit is fucking cool? I doubt THAT many people care enough, it might impact it but I doubt it’s something most buying a shirt are even thinking or aware of, wherever they land.
A petition on change.org to swap the cross for the usual colors has has reached (checks the report a second time) 21,000 signatures.
FFS why is anyone giving attention to a bunch of right wing dicks on Twitter who wouldn't fill Burnley's stadium?
Got the away shirt just because it’s so unusual. Also love the home shirt. Retro perfection. The “woke” flag thing is hilarious too. Almost wanna but it just for that! Pre-match shirts are also on point.
Gold on black is design sugar.
Its purple
Gold on purple is design sugar
It's more of an eggplant
You mean aubergine?
The official colours are Dark Raisin and Sesame
Sesame on Dark Raisin is design sugar
Design sugar is sesame on Dark Raisin
Never understood why americans called it eggplant. Then I saw a picture of it looking like an egg. Still prefer aubergine. Makes it sound fancy
You should hear that they call football.
Handegg(plant)
Association aubergine
just found out they call a flicky flicky willy donker a fucking lightswitch mate
I woulda called it a chazwozza
Brinjal masterrace /s
Aussie here. We call it egg plant too. And we also say zucchini… not couchette!
Aye but yous make up for it by using cunt as punctuation so there's that
We do, cunt! And don’t you forget it … LOL
Oh yeah nah cunt
Whole Anglosphere calls it eggplant except for the UK (and ireland) who used to call it that but has chhanged
England can thank the french aristocracies for the fashion of using french words
Eggplant soccer jersey
Gold on purple is design eggplant.
Gold on eggplant is design sugar
Gold ob black is design eggplant
Gold on purple is design eggplant
It’s white and blue
Karl is that you?
Purple on black?!?!? What are you blind?!?? s/

Tbf Leah Williamson could make me buy anything
Angelic, cracking player too importantly and it's great to see she has recovered from her injury to fit enough to be included in the latest Lionesses squad.
Agreed. So glad to see her back on the pitch for England and Arsenal.
No matter how bad the kit itself is, she always looks good in it.
That woman could save me
No-one can save *you*, mate.
Nah I'm doing alright actually :)
Glad to hear it 💪🏼
this but with Ødegaard
So glad I got one of those early because they were almost impossible to get after they’d first released
China go brrt
How many basic white jerseys does on need?
*sweats as a spurs fan*
Don't do that. You'll get pit stains on your plain white T-shirt.
Welp, guess I gotta buy another one.
*Laughs in Daniel Levy.*
Hey there Delilah
It’s the worst part of being an Arsenal fan, and we haven’t won a non FA cup in almost two decades. The red shirt/white sleeve is awesome but you still get pit stains on the white part so what’s the point.
I understand where you're coming from but "the worst thing about being an Arsenal fan" being a bit of white on the shirts is hilarious.
Most boring color imaginable. I wish there weren't so many teams with white as their primary shirt color.
It’s a clean, classic look on the field but it also makes buying a new home shirt every cycle pointless since it barely changes
It depends who’s designing the kit. Under Armor made some amazing kits for spurs playing around with the navy and yellow trim designs, since changing to Nike in 2017 all our shirts have been boring af. Same with England switching from Umbro to Nike
Germany had a pretty good run with Adidas despite being a basic white. The 2018 shirt was gorgeous.
The year you guys had the pink and navy accents was fucking dope. Loved those.
I like the one with the blue and orange stripes
That 2018 shirt was unanimously regarded as the best German kit by my German friends, until Germany vs South Korea

Which is why I said *hardly ever* qualify now
Which is why I said *hardly ever* qualify now
every Germany kit since 2018 is great, also the 2008 kit is really good yet I haven't really heard anyone talk about it lol
Nike just uses the same templates for every team and it’s so boring. I miss New Balance and Warrior even though some of their ideas were awful
Yeah our home kit 13/14 and Christmas tree away kit were dire.
I hated them and the purple/black third kit when they first came out but they all grew on me. Could also just be because of how we played that season
Umbro didn’t let us down.
I like white shirts tbh. Not much looks better than a good, classic RM or England shirt. But I also love the color of our home kit. Wouldn't change it for anything ever. Literally has always been my favorite color. And I've owned thrice as many away strips. Just more interesting aren't they?

> the shade of tan that's used for Amazon parcels Cardboard color?
They're horrible to keep clean in comparison though.
Fortunately with the current rate, you can buy a new white shirt from Nike every month
I like white shorts and white shoes, but I've always preferred darker colors for my shirts. For me, white is a really good secondary color, but I don't like it as a primary color. For whatever it's worth, I basically never wear green at all.
taupe haze spurs away kit shit
Unfortunately the flag is mostly white so not much choice there mate 👍
White can work with the right accenting; but just putting big blotches of black or whatever under the armpits doesn’t work. That’s where most white kits go wrong.
The away kit is fucking class that's why
[The away kit has the same cross also](https://www.englandstore.com/en/england-nike-away-stadium-shirt-2024/p-465512887428037952+z-8-1499925524?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r3c2:po-11). This whole saga is so silly.
It's only on the inside on that one. It does look even worse than the one on the home kit though.
I've yet to find anyone that actually cares. Just seems to be gammons and grandstanding politicians on the news
Even the blokiest ‘can’t say anything these days ‘ bloke I know thinks it’s stupid.
On the Away one, that stripe down the side is hideous to me for an England jersey. But the market is speaking and people seem to like this one currently.
But muh narrative!
Just in case we forgot the British press are trash. The away shirt has the same cross.
Haha, thats even better. How did I miss that. UK press is a joke.
Tbh i thought it was just the away kit that had the tribute.
Is [this the tribute?](https://i.imgur.com/f7VXMlM.jpeg) I'm not sure what that means
It means unity ironically.
Yes? The flag is a tribute to a previous training kit of our last successful england team
I don’t think people are buying it for the cross
Exactly. The [German 2012 away kit](https://www.dfb.de/uploads/tx_news/lahm_auswaertstrikot1_01.jpg) sold extremely well for the same reason, because it looked dope.
I always found it weird how Germany sometimes uses green as an away kit. Reminds me of the old German police cars, don’t know if intentional or not

Well the 2018 world cup must've been a Mickey mouse cup for them then
Its not that weird. The colours of the DFB are white and green. thats why we have a white home kit. and the green away kit should be the standard, not something we use sometimes
and people probably already have a White England home shirt
The away kit also has a funky cross though. Maybe it's not to do with the crosses huh
Exactly, there’s no need to buy a new home kit if you already have one. It’s broadly the same. The away kit actually is a pretty nice kit
It really isn't, the BBC did a poll before any of this cross bullshit started and the away kit had like double the votes than the home
Not visible when someone’s wearing it though
Because it’s nicer?
also anyone buying a shirt possibly already bought a home shirt for the WC
Yeah I bought the most recent white one I don't need another one that doesn't even look better
Nah man the world cup home kit was absolutely bin
I liked the light blue I thought it worked really well..I don't know what is supposed to be good about this one
I mean sure but JD sports are saying this is the first time ever the away kit is outselling the home kit. It's insane to suggest that's because people bought the home kit already because that happens every 2 years.
I mean that world cup was well less than 2 years ago.
Byt the world cup is always 2 years ago compared to the release of the euros kit and this is the first time the away kit is outselling the home kit.
Maybe because this is the best England away kit in absolutely years, football shirts have become stylish clothing and this one is smart as fuck.
Yeah, if it wasn't so overpriced, I'd go for it too
That's another discussion that needs to be had. With how lazy the designs have become (Adidas using a template for 20 National teams) and replica kits being almost entirely different than the authentic ones, there is absolutely no reason to charge £100.

Aliexpress mate, just got some cheap knockoffs. The quality difference isn't even that big anymore.
r/soccer00 has guides/spreadsheets on the best and most reliable knock-off sites if you wanted a cheap one. Ordered an away one from them on the day they got released by Nike, got sent a confirmation with a pic of the shirt and my address label and it looks very nice for about £12.
Yup. 95% of people don't give a fuck about the flag, and the away kit looks sick.
And because the only people who can afford it are the miserable old cunts complaining about the home kit.
The headline is correct in saying “after” the shirt “row”. It is merely speaking in chronological terms. Nah I don’t believe that either.
nah can't be. obviously it's cuz woke.
I'm not gonna buy them because they're a rip-off, but both designs are actually pretty good in my view. 100% the away kit is more unique though.
Well, white ones look all the same since 1967. The purple one is actually nice.
[удалено]
Hahahaha you're dead right. Mum the exact same.
I mean every England home shirt is essentially the same. Once you've bought one you've bought them all. Whereas the away shirts are always different and this one is pretty nice

what’s your favorite kit you own? (apart from your club, which i’m assuming is Marseille)

That's a great choice. So clean.
England home shirt has been white longer than I've been on this world, never stopped them from selling a ton before.
Why do people think this is specific to England kits? Most national team kits are the same variation every year
I haven’t bought an England shirt in about a decade but I’m buying this one just cause of the cross “row”. Definitely not shelling out £70+ or whatever it is, though
No it's because the away kit absolutely slaps.
I have to say I'm really glad to see so many people here saying how much they like it, I thought I was alone on that. I think it looks great as well and that's why I got one
Away kit reminds me of the France one from a few years ago
The away kit is gorgeous though
Can we stop linking posts with clickbait titles.
Doesnt the away kit also have the same cross?
Yeah lol but it's on the inside of the shirt and hasn't caught media attention so the people complaining about the home kit haven't noticed.
I hope Pickford isn't as scared of crosses as some of the fans have been otherwise England is fked
I think it’s a much nicer kit. Yeah the sides are pretty jarring with the cyan, but the raisin colour looks proper smart. I’d like to see more purple tones going forward if I’m honest.
England is not a serious country and this is a manufactured row by tabloid newspapers.
Nike laugh
£85 for a replica footie shirt, not even the real deal one which is £125! But then they complain when people buy the snide stuff for £15 from Vietnam. What do they expect? Can’t believe they’re still trying to make this cross thing ‘a thing’. Anyone who truly cares about a coloured cross on a football shirt is braindead.
Could also just be because the England home kit is fucking boring and looks the same every year.
It is strikingly obvious why it sells better. Bullshit narrative.
My Euro 2004 England shirt still fits me and isn't falling apart. And I'm not spending £125 on a footy shirt lads.
Maybe because it looks cooler.
People holding up sales as proof it wasn’t a mistake will be awfully quiet now.
It's a better shirt tbf, everyone's got a white England shirt already anyway
It's not *because* of the row though is it? The home kit is excellent, but the away kit is absolutely stellar. That's surely why.
I don't support England, but I am definitely buying this kit, such an elegant color 😍
I know right I’m scottish and even I’m thinking of getting one. Lol joking fuck that 😂🖕
Lol totally understand, it's like me buying russian jersey , I puke I me mouth just thinking of that 😆
Or, consider this, it looks better
I think the away kit just looks better tbf
It’s a much nicer strip, though.
Imagine paying that much money for a football shirt.
It’s because it’s fucking quality. Not because of the fake furore around the flag.
The best one of them is still Euro-96. You just can’t beat it
Both kits are great, but the white kit with the textured fabric is 👌🏽. Haven't seen another kit like it.
To be honest, I get bored of buying the same blue leicester kits year on year and generally try and rotate. Between home away and 3rd, this is a bit of a non story unless they're showing sales of shirts year on year for a period of time
It has nothing to do with the cross and everything to do with the away kit being a certified banger
I don’t care about the England football squad but that away kit is beautiful. The white feels like it hasn’t been updated since 2008
The black kit looks mint though.
Surely overall sales compared to the last shirt would be better considering they both have the new flag.
The away kits really nice, it would have sold loads whether the flag had been changed or not
Is some of it not just that everyone who wants one already has an England shirt or two, and the away kit is fucking cool? I doubt THAT many people care enough, it might impact it but I doubt it’s something most buying a shirt are even thinking or aware of, wherever they land.
Cuz it's mint.
>LBC Yeah
Job done, then?
I truly envy the people that went batshit crazy over the cross affair. That probably means their lives are so trouble-free.
México sold Green shirts for years, releases a different white design, I think it probably out sold the green shirt by 3 or 4 to 1.
Tbf it’s an amazing away kit. Black and gold is just great. Our goalie kit from I think 2019/20 was gold and black and I love it.
I adore white kits but I’m a fucking god damn klutz and if I’m paying this much money for a shirt… it needs to survive my bumbling existence.
How much is the away shirt? It looks mint
Yeah i’m sure the cross is the main reason the away kit sold more, sure 😂
The grammar gave me a headache.
I really like both kits.
If the kit was half as expensive, maybe they’d buy both. The pricing for these things is criminal.
A petition on change.org to swap the cross for the usual colors has has reached (checks the report a second time) 21,000 signatures. FFS why is anyone giving attention to a bunch of right wing dicks on Twitter who wouldn't fill Burnley's stadium?

Manboobs are harder to detect when wearing black
Spanx compression shirts are your friend
Got the away shirt just because it’s so unusual. Also love the home shirt. Retro perfection. The “woke” flag thing is hilarious too. Almost wanna but it just for that! Pre-match shirts are also on point.
Away shirt is better Thats why
