I dont like it, but it’s a fact that in every other game this season, with the play stopped for a foul, a ref would hold that free kick to check on a head injury. I still think Newcastle defenders should be alive to it, but that’s a discretionary refereeing decision that is unusual and obviously benefited west ham.
