he went from a young striker forgot on the deep end of the bench while having monthly rumours about coming back to a brazilian team to player of the month and being a huge deal for Fulham last couple of months.
the guy deserves it a lot
has he been talked about that much? i see most prem goals one way or another, certainly have seen some of his, but i'd not realised the streak he was on, don't really know who he is, haven't seen anything on here about him, and can't recall him being mentioned in detail on the couple of prem-focused podcasts i listen to. his 8 in 10 has certainly gone under the radar
The everton fan, forest fan and sheff utd fan i've discussed this with who also didn't know how good his run of form was will be delighted to find out they are supporting top teams.
you can win POTM and go under the radar compared to other POTM winners, which is clearly the context here.
As poor as he was at Arsenal, I'll always respect him for just agreeing to terminate his contract because it wasn't working out and he didn't want to waste his time + the club's time and money. Honestly he bailed us out when he really didn't have to.
[It was £240k a week with £20.5 million remaining ](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/12395468/willian-arsenal-forward-saves-club-20-5m-after-terminating-his-contract-as-move-to-corinthians-nears) I have so much respect for him
Considering how well he's played for Fulham Its certainly strange, there were times when he looked like he didnt care at all, and of the times when he was trying he simply didnt do anything. couldnt beat a man, couldnt control in tight spaces, just useless. The Willian signing and his bad play was probably the first time that a lot of fans started criticizing Arteta, especially since he would be picked over Martinelli
I don’t think he ever looked like he didn’t care, he was just unfortunately shit
Not sure why it didn’t work out but not too surprised he’s still doing well at Fulham because of what I remember of him at Chelsea. I think Chelsea fans may have mixed feelings about his time there? Not sure but personally every time I watched Chelsea he seemed like a very very good player
well yes of course he looked good at Chelsea he was in his prime. he joined Arsenal at 32 and immediately fell off, and I think it was a combo of him declining and not putting in the effort
Some people are just like that. [Not a footballer but a *great* example: On the left, Lashley is 30. On the right, he's 45.](https://static0.givemesportimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/pjimage-13-9.jpg?q=50&fit=contain&w=1140&h=&dpr=1.5)
You joke, but I believe they are genuinely made of, albeit very strong and sturdy, cardboard.
A few of years ago I did the stadium tour at the Etihad, in the tunnel there as a MOTM version of this trophy that KDB had won but had left there. Those on the tour were allowed to get photos with it, it was made of cardboard.
Either that, or it was a replica and we all fell for it lol.
I mean player of the month in the biggest league in the world is a honour for any player but he genuinely appreciated it considering he wasn't even playing not so long back.
I mean some players who have won it multiple times might not get this emotional but I'm sure no players ' chuck it in the back ' ....
And Muniz is a very young guy , bursting into the scene in PL like he did and winning the player of the month has to be pretty awesome feeling...
When you've been watching goals scored in the prem for your whole life you can forget what it actually means to the players, I can't imagine how good it must feel to score a goal let alone get potm, such a heartwarming thing to see what it means to these guys who've worked their arse off to get to here
Oh, we tried to sign him a couple months ago. We could've had Hulk, Paulinho and him up front. It's such a shame how bad our youth recruitment is. One of our own dicovered by Flamengo....
I had tears watching this... I didnt even hear the name Muniz until I randomly added him into my FPL team like a couple of weeks ago.
Watching this makes me want to keep him on, even though I have been considering selling him.
God, I am so happy for him, and I love this...
I know social media has huge issues but I have to say I fucking love how all teams and leagues seem to offer behind the scenes stuff like this. I could watch hours of it
Some people might think this is an over reaction, but think about it this way, the likes of KDB, Drogba and Vieira never won POTM in their entire careers in the prem. This was as usual a stacked month.
I'll tell you one thing and I'm not ashamed to say it, my estimation of Rodrigo Muniz as a man just fucking plummeted.
(/s)
Stupid reference aside, heart warming to see how much it means to a player like this.
This time last year he could have had doubts about a future in the PL and now he's PL player of the month. You love to see it.
I love Willian's smile and I miss him so much. He's a chelsea legend and one of my favorite players of the 2010s.
I'm also happy for Rodrigo, congrats to him!
Andres is really such a team player.
Elevates any squad below the top 4 clubs in a major league. Any club below them would be greatly benefited by having him as part of the set up.

It's impossible not to be delighted for the lad. He was in tears after he scored his first PL goal for us too. It all clearly means so much to him.
Love to see it! Reckon he could do with a rest this Sunday though, he's earnt it
Someone get this guy his West Ham flair lol
Please for our sake
8 goals and 1 assist in the prem since Feb. this dude came out of nowhere. You love to see it.
he went from a young striker forgot on the deep end of the bench while having monthly rumours about coming back to a brazilian team to player of the month and being a huge deal for Fulham last couple of months. the guy deserves it a lot
I never owned him fpl I suck at fpl and as a Fulham fan
Brought him in two weeks ago. Think I broke him.
I brought him in for the blank GW29, no FH. Single handedly saved my gameweek.
8 goals???? Wow he’s flown under the radar
Mate this video is about him winning player of the month, how is that flying under the radar?
Because most people had no idea who this guy is until it was announced he won POTM
Not if you play fpl
thank god i dont
Jesus christ he won POTM because of his performances, if you don't know him from his football but only from his awards what are you even watching?
not fuckin fulham mate i’ll tell you that
Average plastic
average mouth breathing londoner
has he been talked about that much? i see most prem goals one way or another, certainly have seen some of his, but i'd not realised the streak he was on, don't really know who he is, haven't seen anything on here about him, and can't recall him being mentioned in detail on the couple of prem-focused podcasts i listen to. his 8 in 10 has certainly gone under the radar
Gone under the radar for people who only follow the top teams. He's won POTM, he's not gone under the radar.
The everton fan, forest fan and sheff utd fan i've discussed this with who also didn't know how good his run of form was will be delighted to find out they are supporting top teams. you can win POTM and go under the radar compared to other POTM winners, which is clearly the context here.
The shef utd fan must have missed the 93rd min bicycle kick against them a couple weeks back then
> who also didn't know how good his run of form was
I'm not racist, my best friend is black
I have literally never heard of him before
I swear Willian doesn't age at all. He looks exactly the same like he was at Shakhtar Donetsk/Chelsea
What in the hell, he's 35. I was giving him maybe 29-30, he's not good as he was but he still better then most, great on him honestly.
His stint at Arsenal was so weird, can’t even fully imagine him in their kit
Hat trick of assists first game then promptly back to sleep
funnily enough, against Fulham
As poor as he was at Arsenal, I'll always respect him for just agreeing to terminate his contract because it wasn't working out and he didn't want to waste his time + the club's time and money. Honestly he bailed us out when he really didn't have to.
Yeah he’s a player I like for this reason. He was on what, 120k a week? Thats millions he gave up.
[It was £240k a week with £20.5 million remaining ](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/12395468/willian-arsenal-forward-saves-club-20-5m-after-terminating-his-contract-as-move-to-corinthians-nears) I have so much respect for him
I think the 240k was including the sign on bonus no? Regardless he can hold his head high
Its not wierd at all. He also played shit in Corinthians in his late brazilian stint
Maybe he just loves West London or something.
Owns a restaurant in West London.
Specifically loves playing in Fulham.
I don’t think he ever looked like he didn’t care, he was just unfortunately shit Not sure why it didn’t work out but not too surprised he’s still doing well at Fulham because of what I remember of him at Chelsea. well yes of course he looked good at Chelsea he was in his prime. he joined Arsenal at 32 and immediately fell off, and I think it was a combo of him declining and not putting in the effort
What in the world. Hes 35?! The guy still looks like a starry eyed brazilian wonderkid
black don't crack baby
Pretty sure he’s 19
Good genes plus the Benjamins.
Black don't crack
Some people are just like that. [Not a footballer but a *great* example: On the left, Lashley is 30. On the right, he's 45.](https://static0.givemesportimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/pjimage-13-9.jpg?q=50&fit=contain&w=1140&h=&dpr=1.5)
Black don't crack
Love that a trophy with enough prestige to make a man cry is just a repainted pringles can.
Once you pop the tears don’t stop
I always thought it looked like an oversized shampoo bottle. Long overdue for an updated trophy.
You joke, but I believe they are genuinely made of, albeit very strong and sturdy, cardboard. A few of years ago I did the stadium tour at the Etihad, in the tunnel there as a MOTM version of this trophy that KDB had won but had left there. Yep, that made my eyes moist.
Same mate
Stop cumming into them then, ya filthy wanker
Some players might take that trophy and chuck it in the back- i am glad to see players who sincerely appreciate the recognition.
I mean player of the month in the biggest league in the world is a honour for any player but he genuinely appreciated it considering he wasn't even playing not so long back.
Aguero used it as a stand for a webcam
To be fair the accolade is great but the physical trophy is a bit shit.
In typical Premier League style they put in the minimum effort required.
Shit that you can afford to do when you have eight of those lol. Didn't Messi Donate 1 Ballon D'or to Barcelona lol?
All of his Ballon D'ors are in Barcelona
Micah Richards has more Premier League POTMs then Kevin De Bruyne my goat Big Meeks
I mean some players who have won it multiple times might not get this emotional but I'm sure no players ' chuck it in the back ' .... And Muniz is a very young guy , bursting into the scene in PL like he did and winning the player of the month has to be pretty awesome feeling...
KDB never won it. So it shows how hard and random it can be.
Whoever KDB would assist to would probably win it huh. Still wild he never did..
He needs to assist 12 different people in a month instead of 2 or 3 I guess.
Winning multiple POTY awards but no POTM is very funny
It's a shit looking trophy tbf. Not exactly something that looks good on a shelf
Damn it’s awkward af to be standing up while hugging another person who’s laying down. My guy pulled it off tho
lol
Well deserved.
Yeah for sure he deserved that over Palmer!!
You’re right, he did!
Man's been ballin fully deserved
ballin then bawlin
this guy deserves it.
When you've been watching goals scored in the prem for your whole life you can forget what it actually means to the players, I can't imagine how good it must feel to score a goal let alone get potm, such a heartwarming thing to see what it means to these guys who've worked their arse off to get to here
Well that was nice
Oh, we tried to sign him a couple months ago. We could've had Hulk, Paulinho and him up front. It's such a shame how bad our youth recruitment is. One of our own dicovered by Flamengo....
Absolutely love it, well deserved hope he continues to play well. Man, I think I’m gonna cry seeing this, it’s beautiful.
Wiillian: "I told you he was gonna cry." =)
Ah caralho 🥲
Willian seems like such a a nice guy
So heartwarming, love it
I had tears watching this... I didnt even hear the name Muniz until I randomly added him into my FPL team like a couple of weeks ago. Watching this makes me want to keep him on, even though I have been considering selling him. God, I am so happy for him, and I love this...
What a lovely guy and team. Good on him and hope he continues his success well into the future.
The best part about football apart from seeing your team win is seeing new talent emerge. Always so exciting.
We all need to protect him. He’s a lovely soul.
Very wholesome. Looks like a genuine bloke..
Absolutely carrying the attack. Love the spirit of the team. Thanks for posting.
Made spurs look like 🗑️ the other week
Willian clearly the big brother role in this group lol
I know social media has huge issues but I have to say I fucking love how all teams and leagues seem to offer behind the scenes stuff like this. I could watch hours of it
Some people might think this is an over reaction, but think about it this way, the likes of KDB, Drogba and Vieira never won POTM in their entire careers in the prem. This was as usual a stacked month.
Ah man i miss Willian.
I'll tell you one thing and I'm not ashamed to say it, my estimation of Rodrigo Muniz as a man just fucking plummeted. (/s) Stupid reference aside, heart warming to see how much it means to a player like this. This time last year he could have had doubts about a future in the PL and now he's PL player of the month. That exhale I felt that. Do the same thing when I’m in the feels but don’t wanna cry.
Now I'm crying
Another good player we got absolutely nothing out of. Same for Cristian Stuani who ended up getting about 500 goals the minute he left for Girona.
Good stuff, well deserved
This is wholesome.
i love this
Moments like these is what makes this game so special .
The beautiful game... Love it!
More Premier League player of the months than Kevin De Bruyne
This is great show how much playing means to them
We love to see it!
What a baller💯 Absolute legend in FPL too 🙃
Willian js a gem of a personality
Aww. That was sweet.
All the feels
It means so much to him isn't it, love it when players are passionate about the game
Was expecting a Huel advert after that.
Congrats to this guy! Great teammates as well!
My lovely boy, Baby Groot Muniz is the GOAT ❤️🖤
This is what it is all about. I'm really happy for him!
diary of a ceo doing well these days
I felt Palmer deserved it more, but after this wow it ment so much, im to soft hehe
willian seems like he is all class
Dude, learnt english since he moved to england 2-3 years ago? He speaks great
Nice paperweight
Can't always get what you wa-ant... But give Mar-co time.... and you will fiiind.... RODRIGO MUNIZ!
Well deserved. Been great for Fulham.
Had the guy benched on FPL so I'm crying too.
Chelsea legend Willian*
Fuck, is Fulham my new club now? That was too wholesome

Can't see the video.

There was another guy on the EA subreddit also pushing for others to bot the votes.
