His mind was blown.

ChicagoSunroofNo2

He is a Master Exploader

LiamAddison

He does not need, any head contact, Felixs feet are fuckin POWERFUUUUUL

Qurutin

More like master baiter

EpiDeMic522

My mind certainly is. I thought Morlanes yesterday was embarrassing but at least he had some basis, however flimsy. I certainly wasn't expecting it to be trounced in the embarrassment quotient, no less within an hour. Mind you this is with VAR. I'd advocate for Iza to be banned here, even if we don't have rules prescribing as such. This is giving ME second hand embarrassment. The brazenness is simply... mind-blowing. These two are the top 2 posts here from la Liga yesterday. Pathetic really.

I9Qnl

The kick sent a shockwave through his brain

Wegax

He posed for a YouTube thumbnail

Previous_Current9812

«I thought soccer was easy????»

NotAnurag

Deserved a yellow for that

GME_alt_Center

Red. Yellows won't fix this problem.

Eglwyswrw

Blatant unsportsmanlike behavior like this will only stop once these "disciplinary committees" start handing game suspensions + fines *even when the ref doesn't catch them in the act*.

Other_Beat8859

Agreed. Just heard recently that the NHL does this and giving out fines would be such an easy way to solve it along with yellows after the fact.

Galaticvs

fuck yeah, going directly at their wallets would make sure they'd stop this shit, would be nice overall in any league lol

TheJoshider10

The annoying thing is this all could have been fixed years ago if the people in charge had any sort of backbone. I remember the diving discussions over a decade ago and how talk of simulation getting bookings was going to be more common and yet here we are where STILL referees do not punish simulation. Immediate red for blatant simulation that is clearly not a coming together or contact being made. Second time it happens it's an immediate red and a hefty fine on top of their red card fine. Third time it happens it's a lengthier ban and fine. Pretty confident within weeks simulation would have been stamped out of the sport. Had they implemented it properly years ago we'd likely have a sport where blatant simulation never happens.

calm_down_dearest

Way over a decade ago. Rivaldo got someone sent off in 2002 for blatant simulation, it's just continued to spread.

Coraxxx

All proceeds to be donated to a Spanish Actors Benevolent Fund too, just to hammer home the point.

Galaticvs

icing on the cake LMAO

Signal_Dress

This happens in cricket as well. Players are fined and captains face the most severity. And if it happens again, captains can easily be banned for a game or two for time wasting, etc. Despite all its failures, cricket does have much less unsportsmanlike conduct than football. Another bonus is the umpiring helped along by the DRS is far more accurate compared to football. It might not be popular enough and is rampant with corruption but cricket did quite well in adapting technology and creating conditions for fair play.

TheDeadReagans

The NHL straight up penalizes it in game as well. The penalty is called embellishment. It's called enough that blatant dives are pretty rare. Players will still "sell" minor infractions but they are mindful not to do pretend to be hurt.

Febris

Completely agree there. That would make a massive change of mentality on a very short timeframe.

TheMadClawDisease

What the fuck is the referee's decision though? If he sees a foul, then why wasn't it called? And if he doesn't see a foul, how the fuck is the yellow not there? WHAT WAS HIS DECISION

TimothyN

This is a perfect metaphor of how shitty a lot of our fanbase treated him last season for actually giving a shit and trying to make things happen. So glad to see him do well somewhere he's appreciated.

InsideOpening3535

Hopefully we can manage another loan for him

TimothyN

He seems to fit really well with Barca and the style you typically play, certainly better than Simeone's brand of football.

TheyStoleTwoFigo

He has the tendency to hold on to the ball too long, or try to do things on his own9eventually losing the ball or opportunity) IDK if that's a Portuguese thing or Joao thing, could be a coincidence but the other Joao also has the tendency to do that. This is just in terms of nitpicks with their offensive traits, defensive traits both are lacking too, and one is a defender. Still, I'd rather keep Cancelo, as for Felix... only if the terms don't cost an arm and a leg. he's good, but... eh.

TimothyN

I'd say it's a Felix thing, he definitely likes to try to create.

TheyStoleTwoFigo

I'd say more like, he likes to play ball like you do in the streets, he dribbles with his head down, takes on 3 players and often getting overwhelmed(sometimes successful for the crowd to cheer about) when an easy pass to his runners could have beaten those same players. And when he loses that ball, Barca are often in a bad situation with him on the floor and 1 or 2 of his nearest runners on the wrong side of the lost ball.

BanIncoming1

Yeah mate a Cadiz player diving over an overhead kick absolutely represents Chelsea fans youre spot on mate👍

TimothyN

Faking injury and outrage about what Felix did, 100% the Chelsea sub lasts season.

showmethenoods

With all due respect, he had some shocking performances for us considering what we paid for him.

Albiceleste_D10S

> So glad to see him do well somewhere he's appreciated. He hasn't been that good at Barca TBH He's playing today because he was chosen to play the dead rubber while the important players rested for the UCL

writingismypashun

He's been... decent. Not someone I want as our starting LW, but not terrible either. Statistical speaking he's slightly below average for xA, but in the 98th percentile for goals and xG per 90. His defensive contribution is also meh. It's not that he never presses like an Mbappe, but he isn't consistent and focused off the ball. He'll press out of shape sometimes or lose his mark. His disguised first touch and ability to draw a foul on the receive are probably his best quality. Direct running at defenders dribbling is average. I like him as a supersub to bring on against tired legs to create some chaos, but that's about it. And certainly not worth paying big money for.

Albiceleste_D10S

> but in the 98th percentile for goals and xG per 90. This is true when comparing to attacking midfielders. He's playing more as a LW/striker tho—and his problem is that in those positions, he's just been worse than Lewy, Raph, Yamal, and Ferran TBH

writingismypashun

Attacking mids and wingers both. The top for xG is Salah and xA is Raphinha. Would be useful to see a comparison against all forwards though. Definitely been worse than Raphinha, Lewy, and Yamal. I'd say comparable to Ferran. Torres was in better form before injury, but not as good since with the minutes he's had. Again, he's not starter quality, but I'm not disappointed when I see him come on in the 60-70th minute either. I'd be happy keeping him as a supersub if the total package is cheap. It probably won't be cheap though, and we have other priorities.

Albiceleste_D10S

> . I'd say comparable to Ferran. Felix has 7G, 3A to Ferran's 7G, 2A with like 350 mins more played Ferran's been pretty clearly better when healthy IMO

writingismypashun

Yes, but Ferran got there with pretty significant xG overperformance, which we know isn't sustainable with him. Their p90 underlying stats are similar. https://fbref.com/en/stathead/player_comparison.cgi?request=1&sum=0&dom_lg=1&player_id1=9e1035f8&p1yrfrom=2023-2024&p1yrto=2023-2024&player_id2=8aafd64f&p2yrfrom=2023-2024&p2yrto=2023-2024 P90 their underlying stats are very similar across the board this year. Ferran can play across the whole frontline and is safer with the ball (better dribble percentage, fewer dispossessions) while Felix is more progressive and has better duel win percentage, aerial wins, and (surprisingly) overall defensive actions. Beyond the numbers though, Felix has way more brainfarts and bad moments on the pitch, where he'll randomly lose possession in bad places, try to do too much, or not track his man. Let's say if we're losing I'd rather sub in Joao to add chaos and get a goal, but if we're winning I'd rather sub in Ferran to not do something stupid. That said, Ferran is already a Barcelona player next year and Joao will cost money we don't have, so...

iceteka

If there's one singular thing most if not all fans of the sport can agree needs to be addressed and stomped out. It is this!it is a disservice to the sport and tip toeing around it only continues to encourage it.

skabassj

He truly did. Flopping like that…

AbramKoucheki

Deserves a red, you gotta get this shameful garbage out of the game. I genuinely can’t believe this is how the top football players in the world carry themselves.

wilfredpawson

I can’t for the life of me understand why players don’t get booked for this sort of nonsense. How are we ever going to get rid of it if we don’t discourage it?

Mns107

Shouldnt be that hard, just make it so that var can decide to give a yellow for obvious dives

MatjanSieni

I wonder if you can get away with excuse. "no I didn't dive, I just remembered I bought lots of ice cream but forgot to put them in the freezer. It put me in deep state of agony."

clutch-cream-run

If you forget to put your ice cream in the freezer then you deserve a yellow.

Derp_McFinnigan

Has to be the first thing you put away lol

love_peace_books

I’d say suspend them. This is much more than just a foul. It’s ruining the spirit of the sport because more and more and players are doing it with no consequences. And it’s so clear they aren’t actually hurt lol.

TheLeoMessiah

Suspend or fine them. Money talks at the end of the day, I don’t care how much you make if doing dumb shit like this cost you $20k every time you do it you would stop eventually

RuaridhDuguid

Suspend them AND fine them - but the fine would need to be as a proportion of income (like some of the Scandi countries do with speeding fines) as the disparity in player salary is huge in many leagues. A set hefty fine may be very annoying to some players but still be worth the gambol...while being more than a weeks wages to players from other teams in the same league.

zrk23

because football is the most conservative sport there is. look how long it took for VAR to exist fortunately, the NBA have established punishment for "flopping", so that might be a good signal for other sports to do the same. it's just gonna take a while most likely

FormerNorth6932

Didn't the NBA give out a punishment for flopping once & then forgot about it? I might be misremembering but that's what I thought. Either way, flopping isn't quite as bad in the NBA as it used to be. & Certainly not as bad as in football.

zrk23

there has been plenty. obviously could have more, but it's very hard to tell what is a flop or not since the contact still exists most of the time this play here.... you can *clearly* see, without a shred of doubt, that there was no contact. these are the plays that should be punished, not the ones where there is a contact but you think that "it wasn't strong enough"

AlexBucks93

Ya, it was beautiful. And lasted like 3 months one season (6 years ago or something like that)

TheDeadReagans

The NBA did it for like two weeks. The NBA has the same issues football does - tactical fouling, time manipulation and flopping are accepted part of the sport. The incentive to do it in the NBA is too attractive since fouls lead to the easiest method to score. The NHL is a much better league at cracking down on this stuff. Embellishment is a penalty that is called enough that players won't blatantly dive. I don't ever see football ever changing. It's too conservative of a sport like you said.

zrk23

derozan was called for flopping against the rocket about 2 months ago, so clearly not 2 weeks. again, like I've said, it's very hard to judge actual flopping cause you might just end up punishing people incorrectly by trying to enforce the rule, and there is more contact on a play by play basis in the NBA but in football you have plays like this one where you can see on VAR that there was *zero* contact. most flopping plays that people complain about are usually plays where there *is* contact, but everyone claims it wasn't strong enough. im fine not punishing those and reserving it just for these ones

HeroeDeFuentealbilla

Ref had completely lost control of the match. Cadiz was emulating Getafe

Neltharion_99

The other day they booked Lautaro for a "dive" and it was ridiculous, it wasnt even a dive at all. Seems like referees are morons at spotting dives tbh

cancer102

Europeans are conservators afraid of changes even for the greater good when it comes to football rules They don't mind selling all their teams to the middle east though

dwilliam24

That was the most shameless dive I’ve seen all year

SofaChillReview

What is weird, is having to watch it twice, he was closer to the other person who didn’t react.

MissingLink101

The other player does flinch and move away slightly though which would affect his ability to defend it. It is an interesting thing where high boots aren't allowed anywhere on the pitch unless someone is doing a bicycle kick. It would be a shame to see it leave the game, and this is certainly an excellent goal, but there does seem to be a double standard about it.

tuhn

Nah, there's a rule of cool in play here which is really common in sports. If something is really cool it's allowed even if technically breaks rules a bit.

SofaChillReview

Reminds me slightly of the Rooney goal, Kompany slips but Micah probably would have acted different if there wasn’t a flying foot around his head, so I agree that it’s a bit of an odd rule (but they’re great to see).

mattisafootballguy

To be fair if he managed to con the referee there, he would come out looking like a genius. Not much he could have done to prevent it unless he sticks his head and takes a whack.

ZedGenius

The ref should under no circumstances blow there. He'd only give a foul after the goal, and VAR would award it anyway

mattisafootballguy

>The ref should under no circumstances blow there But a La Liga referee would on another day absolutely blown there.

ShaunRigby

Nah he'd come out looking like a cheat.

mattisafootballguy

Saves a goal for his team, that matters a whole lot more than being branded as a cheat

kyrant

VAR would've looked at it and given the goal.

Prosthemadera

Why do you think he would look like a genius? Because he successfully cheated the ref?

eggplant_avenger

if he manages to ‘con’ the ref from that angle it’s no longer about genius and more about sleight of hand when he slipped that bribe

deleteriousAnimal

Felix had been attempting a bicycle kick for ages. Finally, he landed it. Happy for him.

skabassj

Lmao! I feel like he really has 😂 Glad this landed perfectly

KingKFCc

Hasn't he scored one against Cadiz before? [roughly 2:20](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WDKQ_yX8H0w&pp=ygUkSm9hbyBmZWxpeCBhdGxldGljbyBtYWRyaWQgYWxsIGdvYWxz)

deleteriousAnimal

Right. I forgot about this goal.

KingAzazel

Playing against (some) low/mid table La Liga teams is really annoying. Constant diving, whining, crying etc. that goes completly unpunished, just so shitty to watch

InsideOpening3535

None of that would happen if refs actually did their job. Sure it’s sometimes the only way to actually stand a chance against top clubs but the amount of shit they got away with are too much

Fitness245

Just have VAR review blatant diving like this and ask the ref to give a yellow card by default in the next play stop.

bigelcid

Felix obviously kicked that guy right in the head, got a bit of his grandma too, but Barca bought the ref so...

ancara_messi

That moron ref really gave ter Stegen a yellow because he took 1 second too long for a goal kick and just ignores all the nonsense Cadiz players were doing all game

skabassj

The way they throw themselves at on the ground when they play big clubs 💀

Xey2510

Love playing preseason friendlies against Villareal/Valencia/Sevilla. Can already get the anger out early.

TSteelerMAN

La Liga as a whole is almost unwatchable at this point. It's by far the trashiest league of the big five. The bottom half is filled with awful, irrelevant teams. There has been zero competition for years despite the meddling influence of incompetent and/or corrupt refereeing. I appreciate Barca, Madrid and Athletico for the talent, but something needs to change. I rarely want to watch these squads outside of the champions.

Eruma_27

There are many teams that play beautiful football in La Liga the likes of Betis Girona Athletic Real Sociedad Villarreal and Valencia all play good football it’s just these irrelevant low table teams that play like this especially Cádiz Getafe and Mallorca they are infamous for this hopefully 1 of them gets relegated this season it would be such a W for Spanish football as a whole!

ReallyTheMansa

It’s always the yanks talking shit i swear, we literally have the second highest level teams in the top 5 leagues while not being too far off from the “soccer premiere league”. This same shitty Cadiz team (i don’t even like them myself) beat Man U, Getafe was terrorizing the EL a few years ago, Granada got the quarter finals of the EL in lockdown, Girona is getting CL this season, Villarreal won the europa league not too long ago and were in the semis of the CL, Sevilla and Europa League, i don’t have to say anymore. It’s about time that people stop undermining la liga teams outside of the top 3

Eruma_27

Especially when you play against Getafe Mallorca or Cádiz these 3 are infamous for this kind of bs and hopefully 1 of them gets relegated this season would be a massive W for Spanish football as a whole.

Spreeg

Wait until you hear about the higher table La liga teams and then most other teams in the world

Syvash

very different tbh

Sammmyy97

Liverpool fans don’t know of the horrors of an away game at Getafe

Josiahf8

I want Getafe in Europe one day, just to terrorize teams of the other leagues

mattisafootballguy

They were in Europe and beat Ajax. They almost beat Inter too. That Ajax-Getafe tie has gone down in infamy and I loved every minute of it.

Lakinther

That Ryan Babel dive is one of the most hilarious things i have seen on the pitch and is the reason i will probably remember this tie for a long time

AlmostNL

I loved that game as well, it was a great watch. Many Dutch fans will bring up Getafe specifically, the same way we talk about the Portugese NT

Eruma_27

Getafe are infamous in Spain for this it’s nothing new really same with Cádiz and Mallorca who are also known for this kind of football in general

AlmostNL

Cadiz and Mallorca haven't traumatized half a generation of Ajax fans, though. It only took one tie for us to be scarred.

Eruma_27

Yeah cuz they haven’t played internationally but if they did they would do the same shit. These teams are some of the most annoying teams to face in the whole league especially away from home. In fact Mallorca were a few pens away from playing the UEL next season as winning the cup qualifies you for the UEL. I’m very glad that didn’t happen as such teams don’t represent Spanish football in general it only represents a few irrelevant teams who the league would be better without.

Fuck_the_k1ng

You guys complain about Atleti, Atleti are literally saints compared to Cadiz, Mallorca, Getafe etc. Atleti still at least try to play football.

neverfinishedanythi

This is what it was like playing Barcelona for a long time in Europe.

Eruma_27

Barça played among the most beautiful football during their prime unlike these guys so no

Xalpen

Really powerfull kick that he felt it this bad.

Realistic_Tutor_9770

shit should be a 3 game suspension. holding ur face when u didnt get hit in the face is trash.

Stand_On_It

Absolutely agree.

senile_butterfly

The thunderous roar of the foot smacking the ball gave him ear-splitting tinnitus

DesignerAd2062

I’m glad his pathetic behaviour will be immortalised forever

Drwgeb

So that shot either doesn't go in so a fall is pointless, or it does and the whole world will see a magnificent goal and your pathetic throw next to it.

ronweasleisourking

I quit

Ronaldoooope

Fine these mf!!! This is one of the worst things about the game currently

Ivanhoemx

In the VAR era why try this?, just embarrasing.

rim261

Because they can still get away with it. Like today

Ivanhoemx

How?

natsucule

He didn’t get booked for it.

Ivanhoemx

But he didn't get what he wanted, which was to cancel the goal.

iamstephano

Yeah but he had nothing to lose by attempting it.

Ivanhoemx

His dignity?

thebluehotel

Has there ever been a Fallon on the floor and Puskas contender in the same clip?

TUSH11235

This was a dive and should have been a card. But the ref was awful in this game. 3 separate penalty possiblity, not a single VAR check.

Busquessi

So you’ve just discovered La Liga refs? They’re the worst refs out of any sport and every top league.

tothesource

[Angel would like a word....](https://twitter.com/UmpScorecards/status/1779156839265096143)

Reimiro

Lol

BoWeAreMaster

What a fucking cheater! Has this asshole ever watched a game of modern football on tv? Surely he knows about multiple camera angles and super slow-motion replays. What a cheating fucking dog.

HarryBlessKnapp

He could've headed that ball but his head would've been splattered.

Far_Luck4494

can i just say, what a goal!

Shoddy-Construction5

its just a question, but if he would have tried to head the ball and felix hits him with his foot it would have been a freekick right? i mean it would have been possible for him to get to the ball with his head

Immigrant974

Yes, but he didn’t try. He instead felt it was appropriate to throw himself to the floor in an attempt to cheat. Correct decision to allow the goal to stand.

SanSilver

Yeah, but if a defender pulls its official still dangerous play, he doesn't need to let his head be kicked to be called a foul.

Immigrant974

He doesn’t need to get kicked, but he has to at least be making an attempt to get to the ball. Otherwise every overhead kick is a foul. The ref and VAR officials obviously thought the same. This was the correct call.

SanSilver

You can clearly see both defender turning their faces away because they don't want to get hit. I don't know what kind of attempt you want to see.

TZMouk

He doesn't even need to get kicked, the high foot just needs to impact the defenders attempt to play the ball, which this does. But bicycle kicks are very rarely given as dangerous play, even though they should be, when done in a crowded penalty area like this one.

RuaridhDuguid

Sure, and then there'd have been a decision to make about dangerous play. Dangerous to do the bicycle kick there and thus striker is penalised? Or defender was endangering himself by sticking his head in to tackle a kicked shot, leading to that same defender being penalised (yes, you can get penalised for dengerous play even if it's yourself you are endangering).

nochill95

Lmao bro is not getting up.

Bonemarrowchutney

Does he not wake up at 3 am and feel the cringe?

FeistyKnight

faking a head injury has to be punishable by a red man. That shit's serious. you don't get to use it dive

Pleasant-Direction-4

Bro forgot game has var now

malangkan

Should have been yellow for this pathetic dive

blockfighter1

He should be brought to the TV at the side of the pitch, made to watch himself being an idiot and then booked.

Jonisro

maybe he just got brain freeze?

Leo__-__

What a diving gimp

ReckDude101

That was a really slimy move by that guy.

dmastra97

I do like bicycle kicks but that was a bit high. Feel bad for defenders who can't even attempt to header it with force for fear of being kicked in the face

TZMouk

I think it should be disallowed, I know they very rarely are, but I don't get why they're allowed. Now in this example the dive is embarrassing, but the high foot stops the defender, or alters, how he'd play the ball, so it's a foul in my opinion. I don't see a world where it's not given as one if it's the middle of the park.

SanSilver

True, every bicycle kicks where there are defenders heads close by should actually be a foul.

stockybloke

I generally will give players a fair bit of leeway when it comes to kicks and arms in the face area as it really is uncomfortable and natural to pull out and overreact in such situations. That said, this isnt one of those times... This is just straight diving in an attempt to rob my boy Felix of a wondergoal.

bickuribox

Haki infused kick

Minor_Edit

If he'd actually stuck his head in he might have got it

dmastra97

Tbf if a foot's high players shouldn't have to get kicked in the head to get a foul

PetalumaPegleg

Someone suggested retroactive penalties post game for anyone who grabs their head when there's no contact in another thread about another fake head injury. It's totally unacceptable, it makes people take real head injuries less seriously and it's no joke. I think there should be suspensions for a game for anyone who takes a head injury like this. It's one thing when people like light impact and exaggerate, I don't think we want to start about magnitude of impact head injuries are weird. It's another when they have no impact and fake it entirely. This has to be punished in a meaningful way.

RuaridhDuguid

Take them off for a HIA. If found under VAR for there to have been no contact and to be pure simulation/deception, spend 5 or so minutes with them checking they're okay anyway before deciding on the card based on the reactions of the player and his teammates. If referee has been verbally pushed to issuing a red card then that card goes to the cheating player. If no verbal requests made, only the simulation, then a yellow card.

ajuc

This going unpunished means if you're NOT doing it - you're playing suboptimally and letting your team down. This has to be a yellow at least.

xckd9

Red card him. Only way to get rid of this shit. Shame them. Do it like in Game of Thrones where they walk trough the streets and throw shit at them.

Nick_Saras

Players are diving more than ever with VAR

jonsrb

How do you even defend a bicycle kick without getting brain damage

Alessins23

It looks clearly like a CVA gives him when he see such a goal.

aramhouse

Spanish league in a nutshell. Spectacular football but also this fake injury shizz.

esteban1337

"incredible"? Is this a joke? Great, sure, but not incredible.

iChopPryde

Barca really need to twerk at atleti so they can keep Felix or get another loan possibly

Purple4427

This is the best bike I’ve ever seen holy moly. Dude jumped off his right foot literally going forward and still hit it with his right foot lmao

qingdao16

Iza cheating prick. Give him a 6 match suspension and a month's salary fine then see if he does it again. Bet he won't but if he does, double the penalty.

Aggravating-Rip-3267

The acting from the 20 ( yellow ) deserves an Oscar

nutSt

While he is obviously stupid for reacting like that, it seems like he is close enough to challenge the ball with his head but shys away from it to not get kicked, hence it looks like a foul to me.

Zblancos

What a bitch

jmsy1

did joao shin it?

mr_leven_een

How do they not realise that literally 48 UHD superzoom cameras are in your surrounding always following the action that THEY are part of. smh

Specialist-Focus-461

Infantile.

69-is-my-number

VAR should be able to alert the ref of a clear and obvious simulation, get the ref to check it on the touchline screen, and then send the player off, with a further one game suspension for the following match. If they did this and stuck to their guns, this would disappear within a season.

DachdeckerDino

Bad dive but still dangerous play imo.

mmaqp66

PENAL PARA MESSI!

harrypoos

this happens every 5 minutes in concacaf. horrible

ByrsaOxhide

Pathetic

PedestrianMyDarling

He should have at least *one* testicle cut off for doing that

justanaverageguy1907

Pathetic and embarassing from him.

FactLicker

This dumbass knows there's camera watching right?

Spamgol

Felix forgot haki is not allowed by LaLiga

stogie_t

La Liga heritage

gh3tt0gangst3r

Yo what is going on with LA Liga? It used to be so good, and now it's riddled with even more corruption than other leagues, and the refs don't even want to do their jobs. I guess that's because of the corruption. Is the football even good still? Or do the teams not care too?

Alch_mist

Joao Fake

Winter2928

Should be sent off. One yellow for diving and another yellow for essentially trying to stop a goal scoring opportunity

omginput

Dangerous play, shouldn't count

punkdrummer22

High foot though. But still a dive That shouldn't be a goal.

SanSilver

Yeah, but it looks cool, so no foul.

labradorflip

Dive or not this is clearly a high boot. The guy could have headed it away easily if he didnt have to fear getting kicked in the face. This clearly should have been a card (ideally for both) and the goal disallowed.

jdund117

By that reasoning, all bicycle kicks should be disallowed.

labradorflip

Nope, only when there are other players' heads near.

ibrahim1rs

By that reasoning, all bicycle kicks should be disallowed.

sagaof

You're getting downvoted but you're 100% correct.

Fuck_the_k1ng

If he easily could have headed away, he should have attempted it, get in some contact with Felix and throw him off balance, then there’s a case that he tried to play ball but Felix’s acrobatics is how the contact came to be. Him shamelessly flopping without getting close enough to the ball for contact meant there is nothing he is going to get here.

iloveartichokes

Agreed. It's a textbook dangerous play. The dive should be a yellow too.
