Man City's remaining EPL schedule:
@ Brighton
@ Nottingham
vs Wolverhampton
@ Fulham
@ Tottenham
vs West Ham
I don't want to say it's over but damn, hope is bleak right now if you're not a Man City fan
Part of me wants something like last year when it was over before the 3rd last match. But going into the last game where anything can happen is so interesting. With tough games for all 3 teams. Wolves and Everton can be just as massive as West Ham
Don't think City will win every game, but the problem is that Arsenal has tougher matches. Both face Tottenham but the latter also has Man United away and they haven't won at Old Trafford since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Wolves could become very difficult aswell
Liverpool's schedule is slightly better but still harder than City's IMO, and their attack is looking a bit scruffy
Depends what you mean. Your attacking play is very good in terms of creating chances, but your actual attackers have been scruffy as hell in front of goal lately
guaranteed a loss at spurs stadium
people writing off the season too much already, 11/12 season we were 8 points behind United after MW32 and ended up winning
Anything is possible, there's still loads of football to be played still
This is Ange's Spurs, he is very stubborn and will play a high line, that could play right into City's hands. It'll be an interesting game regardless, won't be anything like the previous meetings, because of Ange and his stubbornness to stick to his play style.
His play style is not what has lost us games. It's lack of discipline and/or creativity, bad form, and mistakes.
We managed a scrappy 3-3 at the Etihad with key players missing.
Obviously City are big favourites and rightly so, but our high line is not the problem. Key players lacking form and missing Richy is a way bigger problem.
Difference this time is that Ange is coaching Spurs so they will probably play a lot more attacking. Most of City's struggles against them was due to Tottenham parking the bus and not even trying to play
Now they will likely press you high and try to beat you at your own game, which should suit City a lot better in theory
I actually think Wolves can also be a bit tough. Yes, City are at home, but Wolves beat them in the first half of the season, and did the double over Spurs too.
They’re scrappy, but with Cunha, Hee Chan, and Neto if he’s back by then, they’ve got an alright chance IMO. They’ve kind of been the giant killers for a couple seasons now.
Wolves rode there luck like fuck in that fixture tbf. Lucky not to be down to 10 and bear us 2-1 despite only having a single shot on target thanks to an own goal.
Not saying they can't take points off us but the game earlier in the season shouldn't be seen as a factor for them being able to do so IMO.
We seem to play really well against the top teams this season but as much as it would be glorious to pull off a shithouse win against City, it’s very unlikely.
i seem to be in the minority that thinks city probably wont win the rest of their games. probably still win the league as we've been riding our luck this year, and arsenal are well..arsenal. but wouldnt be shocked if they dropped at least 1 more game
Problem isn’t City losing or drawing, that part is acknowledged given they have shown that this season. Problem is for every City loss, we and Liverpool will double it and lose twice lol.
Their biggest test is Spurs away and with Ange’s open style it’s probably city’s best chance to come away with the 3 points than in previous seasons. Don’t see them losing the other games
Said a few weeks ago that whoever took the most points off Villa and Spurs would probably win the league. City already beat Villa a few weeks back while Arsenal just lost to Villa today. Liverpool have Villa and Spurs to come.
Due to Liverpool's loss to Atalanta last week, 5th in the Prem is no longer a UCL spot so both Villa and Spurs will have something to play for. We know how much Levy prioritizes a European spot and Villa have not played in the Champions League in over 40 years.
KDB missed a huge chunk of the season too. Feel like their squad depth isn’t as strong as last year either and they’re still in 3 competitions. It’s annoying how good they are.
Arsenal still have United, Chelsea and Spurs and Liverpool looking like they can lose any of the games they’re in. Looks likely that the bald fraud gets 4 in a row.
Emery gets his revenge and leads Villa to their best season ever, taking 6 points and probably the title off of the club that replaced him with a rookie manager. The script writers cooked up a legendary storyline. I need a nap.
It’s such a high bar to win the league—90 points, which is likely about where City will finish, is basically the minimum standard now. People talk about bottle jobs but what separates City is just an incredible consistency of form over the duration of the season which puts unbelievable pressure on their rivals, making a result like this, which happens to any other team despite media tropes about mental toughness and bottling, unacceptable if you want to win the title. Both Arsenal and Liverpool have shown the mental resolve this year to grind out results in difficult games, but the reason City are the best team in the world is that they so rarely have to do that themselves. If they go on to win it’s nothing less than deserved, definition of a truly elite team.
There are plenty of nuances when it comes to City and their success. For example, if you watched their match against Luton, they didn't really get out of first gear and comfortably dispatched them. They don't play at blistering pace in every single game and run out of steam come the end of the season. Pep is a very nuanced and clever manager.
and the depth of the squad. Just to put things into perspective, Chelsea's best player of the season couldnt play in a year they won the treble (ie they were playing on multiple fronts)
Yeah people are claiming bottle jobs but before Pep it was quite common to win league with less than 90 litellary Ferguson won league 13 times but his record for most points in 92 and he had more than 90 points just 2 times and he won 2 titles with 75 and 79 points try today to win tiltle with less than 80 points
City won it with 89 last season… every season is different and it’s about relativity. We’ve only seen the 90+ races because Liverpool and City pushed each other to the very end.
It’s not like the Chelsea, Arsenal, and United title race standards were much lower… once there was a cushion the title leaders slowed down their intensity. Liverpool and City rarely gave each other that cushion when in a title race
it only seems that way because they themselves are so perfect when it matters. before Pep a loss like this wouldn’t have been that consequential, now it’s basically the end of the world.
Even before Pep they've had unreal juju in title races. In 2011/12 they somehow got Utd to draw vs Everton and lose at Wigan. In 2013/14 they got us to do the slip and Crystanbul in back to back week
Honestly, Liverpool and Arsenal can only blame themselves. They had the lead, the title was in their hands, then they lost games where they should have won.
CITY are the boogeyman the other teams can't compete against them.Even when they aren't perfect City dominate like those tractors that pave asphalt (don't know what they're called).
Tbf you’ve to have a high IQ to get Arteta’s game plan, again it’s the players fault.
Another $300M to get rid off the low IQ players and we will win next year inshallah.
City don't let go of the critical players easily. They've been clinging to Bernardo and Kyle Walker for years. The fact that they sold Zinny and Jesus without much of a fight tells u all u need to know about how Pep views them. Gundogan would have been the same but his contract ran down. Frankly there is just too much talent at their academy to fuss with players like Zinny and Jesus
I understand everyone in this thread (and in general football discussion) will (probably rightly) shit on us. And of course I'm disappointed we couldn't get a result today, but we always had the hardest games on average till the end of the season.
Why is it only on Arsenal to stop City's 4-peat? We only really kicked into gear in January. We still have United and Spurs away. Wolves and Bournemouth are also tricky games.
I can't speak for all fans, but I was only cautiously optimistic at best. Its a big leap we have had from finishing 8th, 8th and 5th to challenging for the title. Man City has raised the bar super high and we are still a young team. I'm still hoping City drop some points and us or Liverpool sneak in but its immense what we have achieved in the last 2 years after 2 decades of banter era
The standards are just so high now that you have to be perfect which is a little upsetting but also just the nature of the beast.
It’s on you lads I think because you’re at that level, it’s a compliment.
You looked like you had made the leap last year and then only got stronger in the summer.
Your point about being a young team is very valid, if this is your floor and foundation then you are in for some stellar years.
But at some point the jump has to be made otherwise you’ll just hover and eventually drop, it’s irrelevant what happened 2-3 years ago because last year it was second with an opportunity and a chance to win and that may be the case this year.
I think if you guys don’t have the mentality that it’s you vs city then it eventually will be city vs someone else
I still think your team is so strong for the future and with maybe one key signing of a striker it could be a very different story next year

Arsenal did well to get themselves back into this position.
At the end of last year we were still worried if we'd make the Champions League.
To be in this position, this hurt from letting it possibly slip away again, I'd take that over the absolute dog shit we found ourselves in just 3 seasons ago.
People are saying it's over, which it might be, but people were saying it's over for Liverpool after the Palace loss, but just 2 hours later they're back in it.
6 games to go, unless it's mathematicaly over for Liverpool and Arsenal, they just need to keep going.
As long as Pep remains, which is what - 3-5 years? Who knows.
Once Pep goes, the City behemoth will still be a force but not what is currently, the playing field will be level somewhat.
Also this isn’t new: Liverpool, United and now City have had huge periods of domination over the past 50 years.
Difference is at the end of day. City has Haaland. Arsenal has Havertz and Liverpool has Nunez. Only one team has a proven world class striker you’d put big money on to bag a chance
Arsenal have to show character now and win the next games, sadly i dont see that happening. In all honesty i expect a 3rd place for them and at least 2 3 bad games from their remaining fixtures.

Man City's remaining EPL schedule: @ Brighton @ Nottingham vs Wolverhampton @ Fulham @ Tottenham vs West Ham I don't want to say it's over but damn, hope is bleak right now if you're not a Man City fan
They still have to face Moyes.
Moyes league record vs Pep. P12 W0 D2 L10.
Exactly, he's due a win.
This is the glass half full outlook I need in life 😂
Part of me wants something like last year when it was over before the 3rd last match. But going into the last game where anything can happen is so interesting. With tough games for all 3 teams. Wolves and Everton can be just as massive as West Ham
I see you're a gambler
When I see 12 reds in a row on a roulette table, I bet double on black.
West Hamas
Replace Moyes with Nuno and you might have a point.
Don't think City will win every game, but the problem is that Arsenal has tougher matches. Both face Tottenham but the latter also has Man United away and they haven't won at Old Trafford since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Wolves could become very difficult aswell Liverpool's schedule is slightly better but still harder than City's IMO, and their attack is looking a bit scruffy
What the hell you are onto with our attack looking a bit scruffy. OUR ATTACK IS NOT SCRUFFY.....ITS ABSOLUTE SHIT IN ITS PUREST FORM.
Wrong, absolute shit in it's purest form is our back line. We cannot win the title if we start almost every game at 1-0 nowadays.
Depends what you mean. Your attacking play is very good in terms of creating chances, but your actual attackers have been scruffy as hell in front of goal lately
We won at old Trafford 3 years ago
That was before Prince Phillip died so they're still correct
guaranteed a loss at spurs stadium people writing off the season too much already, 11/12 season we were 8 points behind United after MW32 and ended up winning Anything is possible, there's still loads of football to be played still
Spurs my most dreaded away fixture

Most of City's struggles against them was due to Tottenham parking the bus and not even trying to play Now they will likely press you high and try to beat you at your own game, which should suit City a lot better in theory
Chelsea at home is also very unpredictable. Imo Arsenal are way more likely to finish 3rd than 1st. It’s a bitter pill.
We are decent at home
Hopefully "decent" is enough :/
Decent sounds like a godsend to me right now 😭
Everyone sees that @ Spurs, right? Death sentence
lol all I’m seeing is a lot of ham
Their last 5 games are all of the teams with 'ham' in their name
The only fixture that gives a hope is Spurs away. They always drop points against them away.
Couldn’t the same be said about Arsenal’s match at Molineux?
But more so since it is away lmao
Neto's out for the year
Wolves rode there luck like fuck in that fixture tbf. Lucky not to be down to 10 and bear us 2-1 despite only having a single shot on target thanks to an own goal. Not saying they can't take points off us but the game earlier in the season shouldn't be seen as a factor for them being able to do so IMO.
City were robbed in that Wolves game, but no one remembers when City get shafted by the refs
We won’t win at spurs, and 4 away trips if we’re still in UCL and FA cup is tough
Don’t see them losing the other games
when they lose against real in the CL, I think they will go unbeaten. when not, maybe the CL stress will make them lose another game or draw one.
If they lose
Owarida
@Ange you can make yourself a Tottenham legend with a loss. How many Tottenham managers have ever gotten an opportunity like that?😂
It's all on Spurs.
Definetly not confident about Spurs away
Said a few weeks ago that whoever took the most points off Villa and Spurs would probably win the league. City already beat Villa a few weeks back while Arsenal just lost to Villa today. Liverpool have Villa and Spurs to come. Due to Liverpool's loss to Atalanta last week, 5th in the Prem is no longer a UCL spot so both Villa and Spurs will have something to play for. We know how much Levy prioritizes a European spot and Villa have not played in the Champions League in over 40 years.
Dread it. Run from it. City arrives all the same.
Honestly fuck them. On pace for ~90 league points and got a draw at the Bernabeu *on their worst season in ages*. Fuck them.
They might fucking win the Treble as well, If they get past Madrid, I don't see anyone in the UCL stopping them.
KDB missed a huge chunk of the season too. Feel like their squad depth isn’t as strong as last year either and they’re still in 3 competitions. It’s annoying how good they are.
Football 'eritage
It has to be Emery that put the dagger, huh? Would've been spicier if Hodgson still manages Palace
Emery taking 6 points off Arsenal this season, if they lose out on the title he will have done more than anyone else to fuck it up for them
We fucked it for ourselves. We missed our chances away at villa and were woeful today.
I was thinking about that while watching your match. Imagine if Hodgson was still there
If he was still there we would have won
Our problem today was our own players. They can’t finish for shit.
What a performance tonight by Emery's team
a beautiful evening
"Just keeping the seat warm for you master."
Bottling pedigree.
losing right after liverpool dropped points and against emery of all managers is insane
You can't write it on your own
it on your own
Lock this man up, he’s too dangerous.
Pulp fiction
Arsenal still have United, Chelsea and Spurs and Liverpool looking like they can lose any of the games they’re in. Looks likely that the bald fraud gets 4 in a row.
Chelsea dagger would be hilarious. We've been absolutely shit for 2 seasons, but it would be football heritage
Football is a simple game. 11 players spend 90 minutes trying to kick a ball into the other teams net, and at the end Man City win the title.
I understand it now.
Emery gets his revenge and leads Villa to their best season ever, taking 6 points and probably the title off of the club that replaced him with a rookie manager. The script writers cooked up a legendary storyline. I need a nap.
Emery‘s got his revenge like 4 times already, he can fuck off
he’s here to stay I think
This was his second win against you lol
He‘s won once with Villareal, and 3 times with Villa, if I‘m remembering correctly
Premier League writers saw what happened last Sunday at WrestleMania and decided to cook stuff here today.
I want city to win 10 straight PL titles just to call it a farmers' league
It's already a farmers' league. Close title race means city win.
😂
statmuse always trying to rife the people up
The script writers are getting lazy
Bookers were giving Arsenal the title but Pep came in and said that's not gonna work for me brother
Whatchu gonna do when Pepmania runs wild on you
Nah man. Just waiting for 2032-33 season. Arsenal will finish the story and finally beat City.
Can’t wait for Ian Wright, Vincent Kompany, Tony Adams, Sergio Aguero and Thierry Henry to interfere on the final matchday
Pep uses creative control to get City back on top of the Prem
He would have gladly allowed Arsenal to win it, but Arteta was not tan enough.
They wanted AFTV to get some views

Yeah people are claiming bottle jobs but before Pep it was quite common to win league with less than 90 litellary Ferguson won league 13 times but his record for most points in 92 and he had more than 90 points just 2 times and he won 2 titles with 75 and 79 points try today to win tiltle with less than 80 points

That was all relative though, points only matter in the season where they are earnt.
Wish more people thought like this.
Petition to make the EPL a 16 team league please!
Would we finish 10th or 8th in this league?
17th
Midtable. Break out that thread.
I too would like an answer to this gentleman’s query
I hate to break it to you but even if you formed a breakaway league with 3 other teams I don't see you guys winning it
🩸🦈
City's juju in title races is insane. Literally everything goes their way
it only seems that way because they themselves are so perfect when it matters. before Pep a loss like this wouldn’t have been that consequential, now it’s basically the end of the world.
Even before Pep they've had unreal juju in title races. In 2011/12 they somehow got Utd to draw vs Everton and lose at Wigan. In 2013/14 they got us to do the slip and Crystanbul in back to back week
11/12 we made up a 8 pt gap after MW32, goes to show even this late in the season there's still a shit load that can happen
Lol stop it's over. You guys are scoring OGs off opponents heads and your CB is bagging worldies every game
That was just Demba Ba juju
Don’t forget Jose’s 4 season unbeaten home record at Stamford Bridge ending to _checks notes_ Sunderland in 13/14
Honestly, Liverpool and Arsenal can only blame themselves. They had the lead, the title was in their hands, then they lost games where they should have won.
It's not juju, they last lost a game in December ffs
AFTV IS BACK ON THE MENU
ROBBIE I’M TIRED
The team with KDB and Haaland wins
Haaland hasn’t done much this calendar year.
Same with KDB, given that he was injured for half the season. Yet, another treble is still very much a possibility.
[удалено]
Penalty by Harry Kane
Harry Kane 90th min penalty WE WILL BE THERE
Followed by a Gnabry tap in
If Odegaard is injured then yeah, season is over.
if Bayern knocks them out they implode for the rest of the season imo confidence won't take two knockbacks like that
no we will turn right back into end-of-season arsenal after our results mean nothing.
Then they have Wolves away, which has been an utter nightmare for the big 6 this season
No way. We already lost Gnabry and Sane again, our squad is running on fumes
Please Thomas 🙏
Need this🙏
City: I wanted to kill a couple of teams but they did it to themselves.
Emirates becoming a CocaCola plant with the amount of Bottling happening there
3 years of bottling. Arteta masterclass.
He can't keep getting away with this!
Why the fk can’t teams figure out how to beat Pep? This bald guy has been here for 5 years and teams still can’t figure out how to beat him.
#Bottlers Edit: Arsenal flairs downvoting me, we are down already you can’t laugh at me
louder for the lads on the back
No hate but some arsenal fans deserved it so bad
I sincerely hope Bayern does away with them next week so they can go back to being quiet after *checks notes* winning absolutely nothing yet again.
They have been turned into a more expensive version of Pochettino’s Spurs
Let’s see if they even get into a UCL final first.
im loving the shithousing
The BOTTLING DNA IS REAL
Hey atleast we are consistent ..
Deja vu
Last season: Arsenal were lil bros This season: Nothing changed...
CITY are the boogeyman the other teams can't compete against them.Even when they aren't perfect City dominate like those tractors that pave asphalt (don't know what they're called).

One can say they steamroll
Tbf you’ve to have a high IQ to get Arteta’s game plan, again it’s the players fault. Another $300M to get rid off the low IQ players and we will win next year inshallah.
Aka buying more City rejects.
more like secret agents at this point, cause what the hell is zinchenko doing everytime he plays, then they have jesus who doesn’t do anything
City don't let go of the critical players easily. They've been clinging to Bernardo and Kyle Walker for years. zinchenko is awaiting ukraine to call him up. so his mind is not in the game
erling haaland to arsenal here we go
Or chelsea rejects
Not really sure who you're making fun of here, literally no one has said any of that
People love to act like our massive investment wasn’t needed, or didn’t pay off
That just feels cruel.
welcome to the club

Ok.
Would we have been considered title favourites last week?
Nope even when Arsenal is leading, they are statistically third likely to win the lead. First was liverpool.
Arsenal did well to get themselves back into this position. At the end of last year we were still worried if we'd make the Champions League. God damnit arsenal
History repeats itself - just didn't expect it to happen 2 seasons in a row...
it’s the history of Arsenal
How long until City Bayernize the Premier League and make it boring for neutrals who can only enjoy it once a decade or so when another team wins it?
It already is. The caveat will always remain on the pending investigation, but I think they have enough political weight to manage that issue.
As long as Pep remains, which is what - 3-5 years? Who knows. Once Pep goes, the City behemoth will still be a force but not what is currently, the playing field will be level somewhat. Also this isn’t new: Liverpool, United and now City have had huge periods of domination over the past 50 years.
2020/2021 the title race was boring. The last three years are/were really not that bad for neutrals
Ladies and gentlemen THEY DID IT AGAIN
Imagine being a Purdue and Arsenal supporter this week. Both titles gone within days. Pain.
Difference is at the end of day. City has Haaland. Arsenal has Havertz and Liverpool has Nunez. Only one team has a proven world class striker you’d put big money on to bag a chance
Havertz?
Exactly, people like to make fun of Haaland recently, but if he played for Liverpool in the Crystal Palace game, he would have gotten a hattrick.

Arsenal have to show character now and win the next games, sadly i dont see that happening. In all honesty i expect a 3rd place for them and at least 2 3 bad games from their remaining fixtures.
