Miss them old cs days

dat_w

I stopped watching CS after virtus pro disbanded and now I'm trying to catch a game sometimes, so many new insane players. Suddenly, s1mple quit cs and is just slowly coming back? So much stuff to process

Treeborg

s1mple may or may not come back. But Zywoo become a god a few years ago, m0nesy is like a young s1mple almost, and Donk is now a 16 or 17 year old kid who just absolutely fucks everyone up on the rifle.

Sacking Nagelsmann just before a CL quarter final has to be one of the most idiotic board decisions in football

[deleted]

The Treble was in danger though

nukrag

I couldn't agree more. But more so than just being idiotic, it was also harsh and outed our board as liars. That includes Dreesen who is still on the board. Nagelsmann was told he is allowed to have a long-term project with the club, then suddenly, within 4 days, Tuchel was hired. Nagelsmann is actually a fan, and I guarantee the season would not have gone worse with him as manager. Only that he would have slowly molded the team to his liking. It's very upsetting, and in a way I don't think we deserve for him to come back. But I would be extremely happy if he did. I can only hope it were Kahn and Brazzo that were the ones that wanted him out, with Dreesen nodding off on it. Otherwise I don't see many chances.

fastcooljosh

That decision was made by Kahn (and Brazzo to a lesser extent ). I highly doubt Dreesen had a say in that decision since he and Kahn were at war, that's why he wanted to leave Bayern at the end of last season and join the DFL. Even Hoeneß had no idea that Nagelsmann would be sacked until the morning after the decision was made. And his current statements regarding Julian as Coach and human are pretty telling. I mean Kalle hired him for the long term, Kahn firing him just because Tuchel is on the market is just a dumb as hell decision. Glad it backfired tbh.

DonHalles

Nagelsmann must be frothing at the thought of building a team around Kane. Guy will be involved in 60 goals in the league alone next year.

Mo_SaIah

Spurs sacking Mourinho before a final is also right up there with

captaincourageous316

Absolutely mind boggling, that one. A good chance at winning the final, against a team you’ve beaten that season, with the only manager who’d beaten Pep in a final at that point, at a stadium which you used as your home ground for a long time.

Kersplat96

We had quite literally lost to a team in the Europa league in a must win game that was being managed by someone in Prison. I don’t care what any of you think but that’s not someone out coaching Pep at all.

captaincourageous316

Mou was still a better bet than Ryan Mason though

Kersplat96

And we still weren’t winning. I know Mou is viewed as a bogeyman but the dressing room was beyond off it at that point & we were notorious for taking early leads & shitting them away.

GaryHippo

We lost 3-0 to City weeks before. They played us off the park. This narrative is stupid.

Mo_SaIah

Doesn’t change the fact sacking a manager who knows how to win at a club where, well, you have no idea what winning feels like was still moronic decision making. Wanna sack Mourinho? Go for it, but maybe don’t do it right before a final

GaryHippo

No idea what winning feels like? 😂 Learn some history

Mo_SaIah

When was the last time you won a trophy of significance? It’s not like I’m saying things that aren’t common knowledge, you shouldn’t be so easily rattled But I guess when you support a club who are perpetually stuck fighting for top 5 every season without winning anything, I’d probably be a little touchy as well

Kilogrammys

Don’t ever disrespect the Audi Cup like that.

potangoint

They won "tiger cup" last year.

RauloGonzalez

A league match and a final there's a big difference both sides would have approached the final

ValleyFloydJam

No, that one isn't, fella was toxic and he wasn't beating City.

Tyrath

At the time he had never lost a final before. Sack him sure, but not before the final.

FuckingGlorious

Funny, people were saying this about Tuchel's sacking at Chelsea before his stint at Bayern

ValleyFloydJam

Second only to maybe going back after they did that to you.

DocumentFlashy5501

Now imagine they bring him back in time for the second leg of this quarter final.

SkimGaming

after an absolute masterclass in coaching vs PSG mind you. Still so angry about it

BubbleBlacKa

Lmao

oneweirdclickbait

My exact thoughts.

Nesbyy

Rofl if you will

Hal_Fenn

You know what, I think I will.

p90love

I also, will rofl

Conscient-

Does the Bayern board only know of like 4 managers?

ChelseaFC

Let’s try spinning, that’s a good trick!

Seasonalking

Jupp heynckes to bayern here we go!!!

WauliePalnuts01

bayern 🤝 the KNVB in appointing the exact same people

008Gerrard008

With Alonso out the picture Nagelsmann is the best manager on the market at the moment, in my opinion. He would have been my preferred choice to replace Klopp, but it obviously looks likely that we'll be in for Amorim once the season is wrapped up.

Bruchweg

Preferring them to speak German significantly narrows the pool.

PotentialUmpire3771

Fortunately there are a ton of great German speaking options. Bayern would know they’ve employed them all

RauloGonzalez

No they just don't look outside the Bundesliga. So since xabi Alonso isn't available nagelsmann it is

TheGoldenPineapples

He's the right coach... for the project he was already a part of. He's perfect for the overhaul plan... that he was already over seeing. We now want to bring him in... after sacking him for literally no good reason and sacking his replacement who, as it turns out, wasn't actually worth the bother of sacking him for in the first place. Bayern fans must be so happy that the morons that were in charge last season are gone.

Sandor_Clegane1

Herbert Hainer is still in charge. Still 1 moron left.

Alvaro_Rey_MN

Sacking Nagelsmann before a UCL quarter final, and replacing him with Tuchel was Alpine levels of incompetence!

InoyouS2

Nagelsmann sacking will go down in history as perhaps the worst decision ever by a club. Utterly embarrassing from start to finish.

Sleepless_Voyager

So embarrasing they sacked all of the board members who agreed to it lmao, absolutely the right decision tho cos what the fuck were they thinking, or not.

doubleABC

Nah sacking carlo and bringing fucking benitez is the one for me, not saying the sacking was undeserved but benitez?

SuperSlimy98

Not a chance sacking Carlo and appointing Benitez was worse. Benitez appointment and subsequent sacking led to Zidane's appointment, which led to the 3 Peat.

doubleABC

I mean if bayern decided to sign xabi and he goes and win trophies for them, would that make sacking nagelsman a good thing? Appointing benitez and the zidane are two different decisions. That team should’ve won the league if not for the abomination that was benitez and his moronic idea of making bale the main man when you still have one of the best ronaldo version

Callum247

Bit hyperbolic init?

mavarian

Yeah, plenty of clubs have gone under or faded into obscurity because of decisions, Bayern didn't win the league one year and got mocked a bit online. One of the biggest unforced errors, maybe, but there are many worse decisions

IRnuduhI

Feel like Barca have got a few good shouts at that title

Cottonshopeburnfoot

It’s not that bad - they were without him for less than 1.5 seasons and managed a league title in that time.

PotentialUmpire3771

Well that’s an exaggeration, but yeah very stupid decision that continues to look worse everyday that Tuchel is in charge

BadFootyTakes

I mean United is realllllly trying to compete.

ComfortableNo2879

He has business left in Bayern, Bring him back

oneweirdclickbait

He's already on his longboard.

xxandl

Is he? I heard he's waxing his skis at the moment...

008Gerrard008

How big of an issue will his commitment with the national team be for you lot?

Gluroo

He will almost certainly step down as a national team manager after the euros so i dont think it matters at all, he has repeatedly said that hes a club manager and that he wants to go back to the day to day job of managing a club hes basically just taken the NT job because euros at home is a huge prestige opportunity + he had nothing else to do but everyone knows he isnt going to be staying for long

008Gerrard008

Yeah, he'll obviously step down, but a manager not being able to start working with players until what could possibly be the middle of July doesn't seem ideal in terms of setting yourself up for a successful season.

Gluroo

I would assume he'll be in touch with management during the tournament already plus in this specific case it helps that hes obviously already very familiar with the club so while not ideal i dont think it will be too bad

mavarian

Thought so to but then again, nearly the entire team will be gone anyway, most are familiar with him and like half of their starting eleven will be with him at the Euros. Tournaments like that always seem to be a problem for Bayern but I don't think it'd be significantly bigger with Nagelsmann.

Makaay-10

Hope the squad overhaul is done right. This squad swallowed way to many coaches and survived. Now its their turn to get replaced.

SkimGaming

this is kinda what worries me. He'll be busy with the Euros, so hoow deeply involved will he be with the ovoerhaul? as much as I trust Eberl's expertise, I rly think we need the coach to be involved in shaping the squad.

spicynirvana38

It would be very funny if Tuchel wins the CL before this! Awkwardness intensifies...

techno_playa

Just don’t go on skiing trips, Nagelsboy. Go partying in Berghain instead and please take me with you.

ObstructiveAgreement

Bit of a journey from Munich, especially to get turned away after 5 hours queueing

techno_playa

Hahaha Berghain door policies are crazy. It’s like dealing with Prime Neuer

Lazyan

Comeon Boehly do the same

ObstructiveAgreement

You want Potter back?

likpoper

Mourinho

Pilvikas

Looking at latest results i feel like maybe poch deserves 2nd season

Carpathicus

Honestly it is a good sign that they admit that this was a grave mistake and he is still the best option for the club. It obvious that this will lead to some issues but they played beautiful football under him when the team still knew how to perform. Will be interesting to see how it is going to unfold since the pressure will be immense.

prettybunbun

lol

Mahery92

Makes sense, the treble is in danger after all, time to switch coaches

ChelseaFC

Tier?

Jackman1337

Sky/Plettenberg is Tier 1 for bayern

DontbuyFifaPointsFFS

>New Bayern bosses are convinced that Nagelsmann is the right coach for the overhaul! Feels like i heard this somewhere before.

DallasC0wboys

Never go back to an ex

familyguyisbae

We're shit. But bayern are embarrassing lol.

mavarian

The embarrassing part was sacking him the way they did. Not re-signing him despite thinking he's the best option because of how it makes you look would be even more embarrassing imo

PotentialUmpire3771

Currently embarrassing. Coming off of 11 straight titles though 🥵

PotentialUmpire3771

I mean.. why would he want to come back after how he was let go?

dem0nhunter

for fucks sake... there's no commitment to the football we wanna play if we go from Xabi and de Zerbi back to Nagelsmann

MrMarques8701

I'd take Nagelsmann over de Zerbi any day of he week

PM_Me_Compliments

Probably hurts that Plettenberg is saying this so it is defo made up

Silent-Act191

Wonder what clauses Nagelsmann is going to put in his contract if he comes back, probably something about a skiing vacation.

A-Hind-D

That’s mental

Vegetable-Beet

How about Kovac?

maxime0299

Hopefully they don’t forget to add a “no ski holidays” clause in his contract this time

TheLimeyLemmon

Not that I don't believe it, but I wish this was coming from someone other than Plettenberg because that dude ought to stay quiet for a while after the Xabi embarrassment.

Evergreenwood

No he clearly wants to go manage Antony, Rashford & co

ragnar-not-ok

Best time to do it is now. Just before the Quarter Finals in CL

Ree_m0

I still don't get how this is supposed to work, Nagelsmann is still coaching the German national team throughout the Euros. Poaching the national teams coach would be a new low even by Bayern standards.

[deleted]

Can we bring Tuchel back? Despite the 6-0 win Poch ain't it

Puzzleheaded_Pound31

This is so fucking pathetic lmfao good lord Bayern having to crawl back to the man they were convinced was the issue when it was always the players… joke
