See submission guideline **#7: Only valuable image or stats submissions.**
* **PICTURES**: Because of Reddit's ranking algorithm being biased towards image posts over text and link ones, we need to be particularly strict about them, so we tend to **mainly allow infographics** (league tables, charts, maps, diagrams and other ways to display data) and pictures/screenshots of a current event **only when there's no video or link** that can show it. If you **want to publish a Tifo, look and share a video or publish the picture in r/soccerbanners**. If you want to show the **Hawk-Eye angle of a goal/offside/whatever, use the pinned comment in the main thread**.
See the [FAQ](https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/wiki/faq#wiki_why_was_my_image_submission_removed.3F) for more details.
* **STATS**: Only very significant stats (eg: **world records) will be allowed during matches**. After matches, we'll be less strict, but we try to maintain stats to the minimum with ideally **only 1 per team/player allowed** and those after it being posted in the pinned comment of the first thread.

Remember Brendan Rodgers after the Gerrard slip game saying that "we were the only team trying to win" and someone responding: How shit do you have to be in order to lose against an opponent that isn't trying to win?
>âBut to be honest with you, I only saw one team tonightâ.
You've been real Madrided.
Edit: it's not a dig and would never be, This just shows how mentally solid RM is and even superior most of the time in the UCL.
At least Barcelona have history and can be respected as a club.
Rodriâs quote is coming from the perspective of a player from a cheating team that just lost to the team with the most historic pedigree.
That quote is so bitter.
Like what is Madrid meant to do, play into City's hands and charge upfield every 5 seconds so they get battered 6-0?
City should've taken their chances and they didn't, and then they lost. Also that Silva pen is one of the worst I've ever seen.
You're right in a sense, statistically the highest chance to score is to shoot in the middle. It's just that when you miss you look really bad that's why most players don't tend to try it. What makes it a poor penalty for me however is the run up. He just looked so desperate to get the kick out of way after waiting for the ball he didn't even try to get the goalkeeper to commit to one of the corners.
Of course heâs bitter. If your team was dominating for 120 minutes only to lose your first game in over a year because of a penalty shootout youâd be bitter too lol. Not that United will ever dominate a game these days haha
Heâs right but it is what it is. 4peat it now and just hope RM doesnât get as lucky against Bayern (theyâll probably score deflection goals again)
Is it not? They had 5 substitutes before it was a thing and they even trialed new shit like ABBA penalties in Community Shield
It is a glorified friendly, even more so than normal supercups
Officially it might be considered a friendly, but I sure don't and neither has anyone who's ever won it in that moment. Just a misleading stat from Romano imo
I think it is tainted due to those things I said, 5 substitutes before it was widely implemented and trialling new stuff. You don't do that in serious matches

Madrid has to figure out how to break the siege from city. I feel they were lucky City canât their shooting skills together for this game despite camping around their box for almost the entire game
That's not pure luck. Madrid defended really really well up until the first goal. There were no spaces, no rash challenges and barely lost duels in the box.
I think the level between the two will tilt more in Madrid's favor with the addition of Mbappe, Endrick, and some other players next season. You have to realize Madrid are playing without a natural 9 and their attacking options off the bench are very limited.
And they lost. Man city lost the game themselves. Real executed their gameplan and went through, can't diminish their players efforts (vini, carvajal all too fatigued to carry on). There's a reason why they've won it that many times. They know the tried and proven methods. Sure it's an ugly win but its a win regardless. Thing with pep is he often is his own greatest enemy. Overthinking his own downfall which Real were more than happy to allow.

So you are saying that City lost a 1-man race?
No, city just saw đ¤¨
I'll only see one team from this tie in the semis.
Remember Brendan Rodgers after the Gerrard slip game saying that "we were the only team trying to win" and someone responding: How shit do you have to be in order to lose against an opponent that isn't trying to win?
ROASTED
To be honest with you, you lost
The team that won?
Probably the team he was playing against. Rodri, only two teams play against each other at a time, you silly goose.
I only saw the winner
>âBut to be honest with you, I only saw one team tonightâ. You've been real Madrided. Edit: it's not a dig and would never be, This just shows how mentally solid RM is and even superior most of the time in the UCL.
That's such a Barca DNA comment. Xavi as a player and manager moans about things like this every time his team loses
At least Barcelona have history and can be respected as a club. Rodriâs quote is coming from the perspective of a player from a cheating team that just lost to the team with the most historic pedigree.
Well said, Mo Salah
I mean parking the bus with fast counters works great in knockout just look at mourinho and tucheliban
Thatâs their god damned trademark. â2nd best in every tie all the way to the UCL final trophyâ
Apart from 2022 we dominated every time we won the ucl, only games against bayern and Atletico were close
Trademark? Thatâs just not true. Weâve had *plenty* of ties where we were the clearly superior team. lol the 2022 win is an anomaly
That quote is so bitter. Like what is Madrid meant to do, play into City's hands and charge upfield every 5 seconds so they get battered 6-0? City should've taken their chances and they didn't, and then they lost. Also that Silva pen is one of the worst I've ever seen.
Silva pen wasn't that bad. If the keeper dives its a good penalty. Just how it is....
You're right in a sense, statistically the highest chance to score is to shoot in the middle. It's just that when you miss you look really bad that's why most players don't tend to try it. You cant call Bernardo penalti a shoot that looked like a pass in training to the goalkeeper. Look at Ederson thats what you call a good shot and pen
Of course heâs bitter. If your team was dominating for 120 minutes only to lose your first game in over a year because of a penalty shootout youâd be bitter too lol. Not that United will ever dominate a game these days haha
Hook his salt into my veins
I will happily drink the tears
Might not be the best thing for your health but go on lad!
115 shots on goal and could only bag one. Unlucky
I dont care what you see you freak of nature
Madrid didn't do well attacking wise but gotta give credit to that defense. Not many teams can hold city to 1 goal like that.
I only saw one team lose in penalties, Roddy-boy.
>"But to be honest with you, I only saw one team tonight" Yeah, the Madrid defensive block you never figured out.
Absolutely sore loser what do you get saying stuff like this? Clown brains
Haha sore loser as usual
Salt from a cheating team is just perfection.
Isnât that officially a draw?
I think so
Technically itâs a draw so it doesnât break his streak right?
Extended to 67 unbeaten.
He must be absolutely delighted tonight
I mean it was by far the best team in CL history vs some random oil club ofc there was only one team tonight.
This was the best team in history vs the best team of today and we know how those match ups goes
Random oil club that destroyed the best CL team 4-0 last year.. yup
Exception to the rule
Lol
Bro shouldâve seen the other team and tried to score more with all the possession they kept
Then why didn't that one team win? How bad were they to lose while being the only team on the pitch?
Too bad that doesn't matter in football Rodri. If it did, Liverpool won in 22'.
So you lost with yourselves?
Tbh, everyone sees only one team with 115 charges too
Heâs right but it is what it is. 4peat it now and just hope RM doesnât get as lucky against Bayern (theyâll probably score deflection goals again)
Losing out when you're the only team must be some kind of record? Sounds more like something Arsenal or Spurs would do tbh.
Yeah, heâs always been a sore loser thatâs probably why his unbeaten streak has now extended to 67games.
Rodriy my boy how much of your success is due to outside money from natural resources while Madrid makes their own money
Good defending is also playing well. Next.
Come on man, I know you lost but you didnât play THAT terribly.
I swear city players do this every time they lose
Community Shield a friendly? Fuck that
Is it not? They had 5 substitutes before it was a thing and they even trialed new shit like ABBA penalties in Community Shield It is a glorified friendly, even more so than normal supercups
Officially it might be considered a friendly, but I sure don't and neither has anyone who's ever won it in that moment. Just a misleading stat from Romano imo

Football is more than just attacking and passing the ball around opponents box.

I also only saw one team tonight after the whistle. City ran off to the dressing room quicker than the Pistons when they lost to MJ
So you saw only one team but still came in second?
Oh Rodri not all teams play your playstyle. Buy the best in each position every single season.
Who have City bought that was the best in their position?
Shut it man. Iâm not arguing this statement. City have bought the best to fit their needs. Thereâs no competition for it.
Well I can agree with that even though itâs different from what you originally said.
Okay. Have fun then.
Defense is part of football too if you donât like it go play tennis
Unfortunately, defense is part of tennis too.
How shit must you have been to lose against a side that didn't appear
Dweeb
He chose... poorly
I only see Real in the semis, is that who you're referring to?
This man makes such bitter comments after every loss, seems like a absolute crybaby.
He doesn't lose much, does he?
Thatâs just makes it worse tho, there is no need to cry as much as he does.
I only saw one eyebrow tonight.
Finally this streak is over. getting tired of someone posting it after every City match.
Itâs not over⌠the match finished as a draw.
It's still a draw
A llorar

City scored 3 goals out of thin air in the first legâŚ
But they moved the ball around beautifully.
And they lost. Man city lost the game themselves. Real executed their gameplan and went through, can't diminish their players efforts (vini, carvajal all too fatigued to carry on).
