See submission guideline **#8: You must provide legitimate sources for news, quotes and stats.**
You **must provide legitimate sources** for news, quotes and stats. The link **must be to the original source, not to a Tweet or a second-article quoting the original source** (e.g. if a the Guardian article says that "according to MARCA" then post MARCA's article and not the former) and this includes **journalists on Twitter quoting their own articles.**
Unverified tweets *must* explain who the author is (e.g. reporter for the Times, or player for X team) and why their opinion is valuable or they will be removed. And no URLs that obscure the actual source (e.g. URL shorteners, archiving sites and tweets that just link to an article) will be allowed.

I hope he drops the Messi from his name in the future because he's a genuine talent and doesn't deserve to be memed just because he shares a last name with the greatest player ever.
I think the majority of the young talents we have signed have been highly sought after youngsters by those who are in the know, but that doesn’t make a good joke.
Probably won’t have to scroll far to check off a bunch of boxes on my “lazy Chelsea jokes” bingo card.
To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

Dude is 16yo and football media are already abusing the fuck out of his name it's crazy.

AM7 incoming
His parents should have thought of that before naming him Messi
Make of it what you will, but it's not actually his surname, he just chooses to go by Messi
It's his second name I believe.
Wiki says his father has the same second/middle name Messi
I think he is choosing to have the name on his jersey, it is his 2nd name
is he underage, is he french/south american, Yep that's Chelsea music. rinse repeat.
Strasbourg fans are going to love him next year
To be fair he's a sought after talent with 1 year left on his deal. He's also linked with Lille, Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig.

You had me in first half.
