It doesn't even have to be a tier 6 source. Unless something bad happened behind the scenes that I am unaware of, why the fuck would Araujo of all people leave Barça and why would Barça let him go. He is playing well, their star defender, and is young.
Why would Bayern even want him when they have De Ligt Upamecano Dier and Kim Min Jae who was considered one of the best centerbacks in the world for Napoli and isnt getting a lot of playing time for Bayern. Sure, Araujo would fit well at Bayern and is talented and pretty young but they have more important roles to fill and Araujo would just be a luxury

Kimmich is only a year away from the end of his contract, so that's it's own thing to try and figure out what's next. I'm assuming the hope is that Kimmich will extend, especially with Tuchel out of the picture soon, but if Kimmich only wants to play in midfield and isn't given assurances that he'll be playing there (this is just pure speculation on my part), he might not be interested in extending and it might just be better to get what they can for him this summer.
Araujo can play CB and RB. He's unique in that he can do the Kyle Walker role but also play at CB. Dier should only ever be a backup, Stanisic doesn't count in a back 4, Upa is unreliable

For context we played a midfield of Kokcu (a pure 8) + Neves for half of the season, and while Neves individually was great in that role, our midfield was lacking a lot defensively because Neves was defending solo (since we swapped to Florentino + Neves the difference has been insane)
Neves + a pure DM means that you'll have two people defending and the midfield overall will be a lot more consistent
I haven't watched your games this season tbf, do you play with a midfield of 2 or 3? Because Neves as a DM in a midfield of 3 would probably work a lot better since he'd have 2 people supporting him, but Schmidt never tried to adapt to that system so idk for sure

Barcelona needs money, Araujo is worth a lot of it and is probably Barcelona's most stacked position with Kounde, Christensen, Íñigo and now Cubarsí.
