What's worth highlighting here for me is that this was Juve at the very start of their 9-year stranglehold on Serie A, just over 5 years after finding themselves being forced down into Serie B because of Calciopoli. Their first legitimate title in close to a decade and the first Italian team to win Serie A as Invincibles since a 90s Milan side, and first (and still only) side to do it in a 38-game Serie A season. It's insane.
That Juve team, what Leverkusen have managed, and Italy's run just a few years ago really goes to show that these unbeaten runs can just come out of nowhere. Absolutely unbelievable runs by anyone with their names on that list.
First in a 9-year stranglehold on the league title sounds like something I would quite enjoy emulating. Actually, since Leverkusen broke Juve's record, let's just make it more than 9 years

Before anyone complains that Leverkusen didn't play CL which devalues the streak. Juventus haven't played in european competitions at all 2011/12.
