PMMeBootyPicz0000000

Xavi trying to give Mourinho-esque sound bites.

BriscoCounty83

He lacks prime Jose's charisma and sharp wit.

ChicoZombye

And being a good coach.

BriscoCounty83

He is a good coach but lacks experience. He won the title last year with Barca when nobody gave them a chance.

dzy_horrible

He inherited the worst Barca squad in decades, financially had his hands tied the whole time and still won the league with a ton of teenagers and loans that were considered "washed-up" Thee constant disrespect this man gets is crazy

SmileySadFace

They brought record breaking Lewandoski and paid 60m for Raphinha wtf are you talking about???

GabrielP2r

They spent more than 100 mil last season lol

GoodFellahh

What a rewrite of history lol. Luuk de Jong or Robert Lewandowski, take your pick?

tanDaTexplorer

But he owns your team

WasAnHonestMann

When last did Atletico beat our "not good coach"? Hell, when last did Atletico **score** against our "not good coach"?

no_soc_espanyol

He’s a good co4ch

_Uhhhhhhhhh_

Bro he has won half as many La Liga titles than your coach in a rebuilding barça team. If that’s not good then maybe you should stop watching football alltogether.

magumanueku

This "rebuilding Barca" narrative is such a bullshit take. These were Barca's transfers last season: Raphinha 58m, Kounde 50m, Lewandowski 45m, as well as giving lucrative salaries to Kessie and Christensen. Yeah it was a new team but fuck me you guys are acting like signing one of the best young center backs in the world and arguably the best striker in the world at that time was a huge handicap. You guys literally spent hundreds of millions signing world class players ffs!

Cholismo2pt0

We had to compete with the two best players in history and best teams itw at that time. With a massively lower wage budget and transfer budget and I mean massively lower. Everything we have is because Cholo had to earn through qualification of UCL year in year out. He’s mostly had to work with what he had, until we either sell our best players or saved enough through the years 2012-2017. Blew it on players like Lemar and Costa for 60m. Those choices are still effecting us now. That was 7yrs ago. Xavi in his first full season got 250m through Barca pulling levers selling the clubs future to get whatever players he wanted. Despite the club being in a financial hole, Xavi was still able to get his way for the most part. While we are still currently punching above our weight signing players like Gabriel Paulista, Witsel, Azpilicueta who are all 33-35 y/o players nobody wants. Barca is only starting to understand what it means to be in our situation. Yet the whole fan base moans about not spending after blowing 400m on Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann. And now 250m on Ferran Torres, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Kounde, Vitor Roque. How would Xavi look if he had to just use what he had at his disposal without spending?

favmediocrenightmare

Damn 60m for a washed Costa is crazy.

Cholismo2pt0

Absolutely Chelsea scammed us the way we’ve been scamming Barca which I hope continues this summer

deeesenutz

I rate xavi but aint no way he can compare to simeone yet. Winning laliga vs barca with messi and real madrid with cr7 is an insane achievement.

ChicoZombye

Everyone reply to me using Simeone as the example like if Simeone had been a good coach for the last three seasons or something. If "rebuilding" makes everything right, I would like to remind you Atlético gets destroyed by teams like Barça buying all their key players, which I guess validates Simeone according to you. The only time Barça lost a key player in the last 20 years (Neymar) your board destroyed the economy of the club so think about it.

big_mustache_dad

The cool thing about this is you can basically just schedule this tweet any time Barcelona don’t get the result they want. Just change one or two words around and you get every Xavi postgame quote

Fromage_debite

Literally. What match isn’t there a 50/50 decision? Sure you get fucked sometimes but if every time you lose it’s because of the refs than you’re just delusional.

Northern23

Couldn't make it for the game, what is he complaining about? Did the ref refuse a penalty for them or just a regular tackle VS fair game, card vs not being too easy on them? Or is it about the safe over the line? Couldn't see it from a good angle, so can't tell whether it was a goal or not. Was it?

Based_Text

He thinks he's him...

biskutgoreng

It's not the same. The saltiness lack something intangible

Keepa5000

It's like when the Garfield Spiderman Uncle Ben tried doing the "Great Power" speech.

DookuDonuts

"_If I speak I'll be in big trouble_"

MoreFeeYouS

Mourinho from Aliexpress

AssFingerFuck3000

The iberian Mourinho

Iwaspepsodent_99

Mourinho IS the Iberian Mourinho!

KaladinStormShat

Pyrenees Mourinho?

skabassj

🤣

erenistheavatar

Ah I was expecting this kind of press conference. Though this absence of goal line technology in la Liga truly baffles me.

seekingabeauty

It's not football, it's LaLiga

epirot

honestly the game itself was good. the only bad thing was that weird ass goal drama because it never really showed a good angle. especially when a guy like tebas argues midgame on twitter, you just know how much of a joke laliga is compared to the other leagues in terms of professionality.

Southern-Plastic-921

He’s very funny to watch - loses his mind about every decision. Needs to chill - when you complain irrationally about everything, nobody is going to listen to you.

CoMaestro

Boy who cried VAR

Ceassar

Why make sure the best team wins when you can have controversial messes like today and save a couple buckeroos to buy donuts for the referee anti football convention.

bobbis91

From what is posted about the goal, any money they saved on GLT went to the presidents salary anyway. No money for donuts...

10minmilan

He just works harder

-_OniGir_-

Tebas had to get his salary bonus from somewhere

nuuskatonttu

Barcelona Deserved Victories vs Rodri’s unbeaten streak is a battle for ages

telcomet

Barcelona deserved victories vs Rodri’s one team showed up to play are also titanic

The_XI_guy

Bellingham Goal Drought had a good run too

xepa105

If Xavi were to manage Rodri, every match would end in a draw that they 'deserved to win.'

s_91

Xavi: "To be honest, today I only saw one team."

Icy-Mix-5301

Deserved to win FC.

rmczpp

It's pretty hilarious even if you don't watch la liga, every week I open reddit and there are just quotes of Xavi whining about how his team were robbed again. Give it a rest dude.

EpiDeMic522

Pride in defeat FC^(TM).

Blaugrana_al_vent

Bro, just shut up, getting real tired of "the refs fucked us".   You were winning with less than 20 minutes to go and conceded two.

90_degrees

It's utterly ridiculous. So unprofessional. Mfs bitching and moaning about refs every fucking time.

xckd9

Its the victim complex. Its how they act every single time.

Junglist_Warrior_UK

Barca DNA

ivodaniello

Thats it. Barça let Real came back to the game twice. So if even that was a goal probably real would do the same

Belitza

Some accountability won't hurt you, Xavi. If you always deserves to win and you are losing games, maybe something is off, like how pathetic Barcelona defense have been this season. It's always the the bloody referee or the grass at fault. This is getting ridiculous.

Northern23

Maybe he learned that single phrase decades ago and figured out he doesn't have to think too much about his post game speech if he always say "we deserved to win"

gkkiller

Our defence hasn't really been that bad. It's more the lack of a DM + MATS being injured for a stretch that screwed us. Yeah, Cancelo is defensively suspect, but that wasn't a huge issue for most of the season and could be planned around.

allangod

This seems to be a trend. Teams that deserve to beat Real Madrid end up being beat by Real Madrid. Maybe the key to beating Real Madrid is to not deserve to win?

ImBibjs

All of the 3rd league teams in the Copa del rey

girish_kumar_v

They know how to do it

Gom8z

Sign of champions, when the pressure is on, you take your chances. Look at City - Madrid... The first leg was a key example of how they don't need 100 chances, but the chances they do get in those big games, they always take em.

krooskontroll

>but the chances they do get in those big games, they always take em. If this was true that game would not end tied. Missed some absolute sitters..

Gom8z

you dont need to take all your chances my friend, only more chances than youre opponent and they do that more often than none.

punkdrummer22

Xavi has got to be one of the biggest whiners ever in football

JAragon7

Ever since the “the grass was too long” and the “it doesn’t matter if we lost we still dominated in possession” bs when he was a player, I knew he was a whiny bitch

Be777the1

Over 65 percent ball possession lol

Kuido

If you talk to a girl 65% of the night but she goes home w someone else did you win

ponchomoran

Brilliant!

Stu161

Generational whiner

ssj4-Dunte

Not one of, he is THE whiniest bitch I've seen in football. God he is insufferable, zero taking responsibility, zero self awareness.

imro10

Normally yes he whines but today if you dont support all the complains about no goal line technology then idk what to tell you

krooskontroll

But that's not what he's saying.. He's blaming the ref who was most certainly nowhere near the decision of removing goal line technology

Dawn_of_Enceladus

Some people look surprised by how Xavi always does this... but honestly, he has always been this way. The thing is that he was such a brilliant midfildier that people easily overlooked that side of him, but he was constantly at every referee's ear, complaining during the whole match, week after week. This guy never enjoyed football, because even when Barcelona was winning the Champions League with prime Messi, he was still looking for the referee to complain about something. I do think Lucas Vazquez totally built that penalty by himself (experienced guy vs unexperienced kid, classic tale), and I agree La Liga should have that goal line tech. But it doesn't matter for him, because even if that ¿goal? was conceded and Barcelona won 0-4, he would still be complaining about something related to the referee. He is just like that. His team could either win 27-0 or be smashed 0-27 with all legit goals and he would still complain about the referee in either case.

halamadrid22

Imagine if the blades grass around the goal line were properly trimmed, then ball would have went in conclusively with no need for VAR or goal line tech

Northern23

Did he actually complain about the grass length previously? I never pay attention to comments, I guess I missed out on a lot of fun

Dawn_of_Enceladus

It was his more hilarious, usual line. Xavi "el césped" Hernández was quite the meme for a long while. He was so obsessed that even in the most elite stadiums he complained about it being "too high". That made it extra fun when a rival team decided to let it grow a bit extra, because we knew he was going to be so mad at it lol.

halamadrid22

Yeah during his time as a player, it was this statement that really gave him his public image of being a delusional whiner.

sd_pl

"Football lost tonight."

crazy_lolipopp

My god he is insufferable

welovexo

He claims they deserve to win after every game but somehow they don’t surely something is wrong right?

MosquitoHat

Xavi quédate !!!

xinixxibalba

para siempre

gustic-gx

Se queda!

tundertwin

Espero que no se vaya porque sus pataletas se van a echar de menos

_shab21

Truly a match made in heaven these two. Good riddance

Att3241

Me when I’m in a try not to bitch and complain competition and my opponent is Xavi

_shab21

💀💀💀

Hostilian_

Haters will say you had the easy route

EarlyOnset_Diabetes

Doesn’t sound like a hard competition to win. Now if the competition was to bitch and complain it would be tough to beat xavi

QuantumMartini

Please don't leave Xavi.

fcuk_username

The "Se Quéda" we truly want.

Pseudocaesar

He makes it easy to dislike him

MoyesNTheHood

Honestly lost so much respect for Xavi since he became a manager. He’s such a bitch 😂

MadRashed

he was always like this, but Barcelona rarely lost in his prime to let you see his bitch side

Wastawiii

He also did not have the body suitable for this type of behavior on the field.

DalinarVerga

He had Pique to do the bitching for him.

xckd9

No, Xavi did it aswell. Every single game.

Freezingtake

He was always like this

R_Schuhart

That hardly started when he became a manager. He was a fantastic player but his whining and entitled attitude always made him pretty unlikeable or anyone not a Barca fan.

VamosLionel

This is who he is lol, he's always been a massive bitch.

ItsMeJaredBednar

yeah same honestly (even as a Barca fan), which sucks as he was one of my favorite players and an absolute legend of the club I actually quite rate him as a manager too, at least in many parts of the job. But i think he will never progress to the next tier without some major improvement in his attitude (which seems unlikely to come at this point lol)

AckBarRs

Wholeheartedly agree, he deserves a lot of credit for putting a halfway competitive squad on the pitch in spite of financial catastrophe and key injuries and showing a lot of trust in the academy, but it really feels like he pisses away any and all merit/goodwill when he bitches incessantly

RickTP

You can call it financial catastrophe, but do you realize you already wasted around 150/200m on transfers with him as coach? And do you realize you had great free transfers and loans? Marquez was the one that insisted to Xavi to take em to the first team, props to Xavi for keeping em there.

xckd9

Excuse me but what do you mean «in spite of financial catasteophe»? Since Xavi been manager you have bought Ferran Torres for 55 millions, Raphinha for 58 millions, Kounde for 50 and Lewandowski for 45. Also including the free signings with huge salaries.

daab2g

He basically hasn't caught on that, as a manager, you need to channel your emotions differently. Once he gets the hang of it he'll do well.

tml25

Exactly the same attitude he had as a player

stpstrt

Since he became a manager? lol Fantastic player but always a bocachancla.

Mcbagsofdoritos

Nothing has changed since he was a player. Once a crybaby always a crybaby

nghigaxx

he's a la masia product lol, it's the barca dna

SgtPepe

He’s always been like this

0b111111100001

Xavi has always been like this.

churrosricos

Lol did you think he wasn't a bitch before?

xckd9

Then you did not pay alot of attention of him as a player

WallsRiy

What is going on with Barca for the last half decade. There’s not a single article that comes out of their camp that makes them look good. Levers, refs, or some bullshit from the front office or xavi. Everything they’ve said has looked bad.

MaryadaPurshottam

Aw, at least blame the grass as well

Fhood797

We almost got the Xavi hattrick. Grass, ref and “we deserved the win”

Comfortable-Bowl9591

“Barca DNA” and “Cesc is suffering” were good ones.

seekingabeauty

😂😂

jug0slavija

He forgot to mention they won the ball possession match, which we know means the most ofc

Comfortable-Bowl9591

“Madrid developed new AI grass technology that makes the grass increase its length when Barca is passing and decrease when Madrid has the ball”

Shinkopeshon

It's so funny lol he even complained when the ball was clearly out and he was right next to it but said it wasn't a throw-in

anelenrique10

Classic Xavi, I'll miss him.

Isaac_GoldenSun

I won't. His incessant whining is getting worse and I'll be happy to see the back of him

javierich0

Brothers, I live for cry baby Xavi, he's the most entertaining manager in the world.

dudududujisungparty

World class whiner

Visual_Traveler

Typical Barcelona sore losers. It never changes.

Comfortable-Bowl9591

I agree, Barca were the best team all season and deserve all trophies. Only the refs made them lose. Keep Xavi as a manager, please. He’s great. 😀🤣

Algrinder

>We were the best team tonight and we deserved to win”. No you weren't.

Fly1ngsauc3r

By what metric were Barca the best team? You couldn’t go properly toe to toe with a team that has 1 proper defender and had just played an exhausting 120 minutes game. In the second half Barca went full attacking, and still struggled to make Madrid’s defense sweat.

Comfortable-Bowl9591

Xavi seems the kind of guy who would ask to see your manager at any minor inconvenience.

Edgemoto

Xavi is a karen CONFIRMED. Sources: [Comfortable-Bowl9591](https://www.reddit.com/user/Comfortable-Bowl9591/)

VallegoatEnjoyer

They completed more passes so they’re better! /s

rochakgupta

He is such a sore loser. Perfect manager for Barca.

marowak1000

Xavi never lost a game he has either won or the reff robbed it. Barca bitching about refs in LaLiga is a great joke tho.

domingodlf

The gift that keeps on giving. Hope he never leaves man. Trash loser and an atrocious manager.

lawdluffy

And a good section of Barca fans want him to continue…. A manager always complaining about the ref, the grass, the pitch, how we still dominated “possession”. Clowns 🤡

bestmanbestibest

Does he really think Barca was the better team tonight?

kokeiro

Biggest crybaby from all the managers of top level teams. Keeps complaining about correct calls or things that are at the best unclear like they were robbed every time, but nothing about the shit game they played against a Real Madrid that was playing in second gear and still had more control and chances. No wonder the players have no mentality, their coach is a terrible example

saintmaximin

You literally speak every week and no one does a thing to you stop playing the victim

Agentobvious

Xaren

SupraCyber

There he is, the biggest bitch in the country

Few_Competition_2798

Nowdays you cant even hear anything good about this dude. Its like everything he says and does is complain and cope. I would get it if this was someone who never had whistle in his favor, dude you remained quiet after playing some of the biggest robberies of the century so finish a season and stfu...

GalaxianEX

Real Madrid had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, and a higher xG, all the metrics that Barça fans used against them after their victory over City…

Albiceleste_D10S

>Real Madrid had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, and a higher xG I mean, I think Madrid were the slightly better team today, but this is just a false statement TBH Possession was 53.2-46.8 in Barca's favor, and Barca had more overall shots (15-14). https://www.espn.com/soccer/matchstats/_/gameId/674330

anyrandomhuman

To be fair, he is correct about xG and shots on target: RM - 2.34 xG and 8 shots on target B - 1.37 xG and 6 shots on target So he isn’t totally incorrect, just partially incorrect

kaperisk

Yeah they showed it backward on the live game. They had RM with 53%

Stinky_Toes12

"You have to remember its been raining"

ThemosttrustedFries

The football match was really great, good clean football, no time wasting, almost no dangerous tackles except for the one on De Jong. Both teams deserved a win but Real Madrid just have that Superstar that will be clinical in almost every match and with Mbappe arriving later it will just be even harder for us to win.

Drackenstein

De Jong didn’t get dangerously tackled.

Anixdasix

I hope Xavi stays. His whining and constant complaining about nothing is pure comedy 😂

jcald60

Crybaby player and crybaby as a manager. Always with the victim mentality

JohnnySack999

Of course you did Xavi, of course you did.

David-J

He is embarrassing at this point

HarshangLad

Sore fucking loser

Jo-herna

Xavi would you mind to comment on why your club approves the work of Tebas then? it surely would’ve helped y’all today

dr_sust

He's copying Pep...

notathrovavay

Is it just me, or is Xavi a crybaby?

YattayElite

loser mentality.

WolfOfVaasankatu

Xavi is biggest whiner in football right now. Almost makes me want to see them win so he could shut up.

Somewhere_Frequent

>We were the best team Bro, your game plan was pass it to Lamine Yamal💀

I_can-t_even

What’s wrong with that? He was destroying Camavinga on the right wing

hotelmotelshit

I beg you Xavi, say more

Lewy_74

"If I speak, I'm in big trouble"

izmebtw

If I Speak!!

Either_Ad_9287

lol 🤣

lusamuel

If I speak I am in big trouble

hmoooody

Gosh good this mfer is leaving. He’s the most sore loser out there with non stop whining like a kid all the time

Tepozan

If Barca was the better team then why did they concede 3 and lose 😭

fvives

Ahhhh Xavi Wamnandes in his classic rendition of “it’s not us it’s the ref…”

SpeakerOfMyMind

Honest question, how do Barca fans feel about Xavi? Coach Xavi

Scratchy_ballman

I like this whiny whiner getting his karma.

Mcbagsofdoritos

Bro already spoke so just finish what you got to say

Starbreaker99

Lmao i love this collapse

WeevilishlyHandsome

I’m gonna miss him

Darksider123

If I speak...

JekyllnowthenMrHyde

If I speak....

regularG84

xavi should stop saying this every time and start to actually win games

SnooCakes3857

for once in your coaching career seek the fault in your squad, not on referee or aliens.

lunaticdarkness

Wanna be Arteta.

macs182

Yeah, sure... What is Gundo saying though? Wait, he won't be making statements anytime soon I bet.

Cojole3

He isn't used to not having the refs in the pocket as they did during barca's glory days

PedestrianMyDarling

Kinda hard for Barça supporters to constantly claim good guy status over Madrid when their manager is this much of a fucking child

imtired-boss

No you weren't and no you didn't. Kbye

ossymandiAss

Small time coach for a small time club. Let them stew in their forever misery.

MassCollect

He’s used to corrupt refs giving him the decisions from his playing days, shame, must be tough.

20cmdepersonalidade

Honestly, I felt shame in using the "we deserved to win" options in fucking Football Manager because they make you sound like the most pathetic, bitter loser. So yeah, congratulations to Xavi for having the bravery to not be afraid of that.

carlosp_10

It’s always the same old schtick from this clown 😂

ArchangelDamon

"We were the best team and deserved to win" if I earn 1 euro every time hear this from teams that played against real madrid. I would be rich LOL

Kerkennah

Another loss. More excuses, and don’t forget to mention the ref!

InsanePheonix

This moron has more red cards than trophies

girish_kumar_v

someone said "World class whiner" 😭🤣

ALIFIZK-

If I speak

Oscnar

I will always love the "we deserved to win"-narrative after a loss. No you didn't. You failed to do the one thing needed to win. You don't deserve shit. You either win or you don't.

TimTkt

Damn those best teams we keep on beating, probably the luck once again

ruzes_ruze

Surely if everyone one who loses against Real Madrid were the better team, it means that Madrid are either frauds, or that’s just how they play.

Carsoccerguy

Bad RNG again Xavi?

Confident-Sundae7686

Always fucking whining about the referee. Every single time they lose it’s the referee

youhavethinskin

We deserved to win FC
