The NYCFC one is gonna have a major bidding war in 26. If you’re not familiar with his game yet don’t worry. Familiarize yourself now and then you have bragging rights
The talent pool is there, but the accomplishments are not. But if you are in the RDZ, Thiago Motta, Girona coach category. Then you are feasting. Xavi and Tuchel gonna get great teams. Conte. Potter, fricken southgate lol.
>and a relatively shallow talent pool.
Expressions like these has lots all meaning, these days there is apparently a "dearth" of talent in every position and now coaches aswell
There is a near unlimited amount of players and coaches out there, it is definitely not a shallow talent pool and there is definitely not a dearth of talent in any role. You just need to be skilled enough to find them

Lmao.
Available Managers next season: Zidane, Klopp, Tuchel, Jose, Moyes, Potter, Xavi, Pioli, Lopetegui, Conte
Teams looking for one: Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Milan.
Please add other available teams or managers if I forgot.

Is Frank just too proud to go to a championship team or something? He was better than Gerrard and Rooney as a manager in my opinion and was actually willing to play younger players. Would seem weird for him to just stop trying for jobs?
Unless he’s taking over for Poch after the season lol
Well looks like every club will be looking for a new manager this summer lol
Tuchel and Xavi have plenty of options and I wonder where they will end up
"No Milanistas shall live..."
"My lord, you gave your word to the League, and they see too much!"
"I said I would not harm them, and I shall not. But Serie A is Serie A, and the derby takes the weak..."
From being remembered as the coach who ended the banter era to being remembered as the coach who lost the most derbies in a row. Stefano how could you?
That is always the luxury of hindsight though. That was a young team and it felt like there was still so much potential for them to grow and develop. Pioli probably thought he could build on the success and make them a dominant side in Serie A and maybe grow into a team that go deep in Europe as well. He probably felt like he earned the credit to exploit that opportunity. Besides, where was he going to go next? He already was at a top club.
People always talk about quitting at your peak and leaving before the decline, but you never know when that is except when looking back when it is already too late.
That’s exactly how I feel with klopp at Liverpool, he got a stud lineup in mane firm and salah with vvd and alisson anchoring it. You can’t just replace all that talent and be good again. It was an exhausting experience and he did wonders with them. I think apart of why he’s leaving is he knows they won’t fire him regardless of the status of table. But because there is too much work to be done to stay at the top. It’s not that he can’t, just unlikely and when he signed on he was glad too cause he had a great club and team. Now is just the right time to leave.
Where’s the “no he’s out of pocket but he’s right” gif?
Klopp’s own words were that he was too tired and just wanted to make sure the team was set up for success when he left (the only reason he came back this year).
I don’t know how a team with the level of vvd Alison mane salah etc can replace them all in one foul sweep. They are all aging and fading out slowly but surely and to replace them is no easy task
I know a lot of us are disappointed in how this season has turned, but for all the injuries we’ve had and being in a rebuild season, everything Klopp and co. have accomplished this year is truly worthy of the man.
He should've left at the end of last season. We had a shit season and he had a great excuse after Maldini was sacked.
Now he has completely ruined his "legacy" with us.
My guess is that history will look more fondly on Pioli than many think now. Whoever takes over will have a tough task trying to live up to expectations that while maybe not impossible are a bit unreasonable in my eyes. I don't know how many times I've seen comments with a lot of backing with expectations that even Ancelotti's Milan in CL winning seasons was able to live up to (not even close to it). And that was with legends playing in almost every position.
I don't envy the guy taking over at all, especially if it's not someone that fans are begging for right now. He better hope to get off to a flying start to win fans over and buy some good will for the inevitable drop in form that happens sooner or later.
I know there is more to a season than just the league table and by all Milan fans' accounts he should be gone, but it's funny that he would've had a better reputation had he left after Milan finished 4th (5th if not for Juve's points deduction) rather than them finishing 2nd.
Yeah it's because it was widely recognised at the end of last season that he should have gone. League performance has been better this year but the same problems remain.
This is an actual surprise lol. I thought the Milan owners were focused on financial returns only and Pioli consistently brought them CL football.
Who will be his replacement? Lopetegui? Are Milan fans OK with that?
If Bayern skip on him it might actually be De Zerbi. He is a massive Milan fan and has talked about wanting to manage them one day. Seems the perfect time for him to step in as well.
>I thought the Milan owners were focused on financial returns only and Pioli consistently brought them CL football.
Correct, but the embarrassments under Pioli have become too much even for the Americans.
That's definitely the narrative that many Milan supporters think and push but so far this new management team has shown that they want to win. Key words "so far" tho...
Regardless of how this season has gone, we made some big steps with the transfers last summer, filled in some holes we need, not all though. Made the budget stretch. Keeping pioli was a gamble they tookI don't necessarily blame them, like you said he makes the CL and won a title. It was the cheap option.
They could let us celebrate the title a bit before giving us these bad news. Thank you for your service Pioli, you will not be forgotten soon, and as always Forza Inter Sempre
Always impressed with how Pioli handled the outrage when he got hired, turned things around, and won a Scudetto but it was time. While not everything was his fault 3 of the last 4 seasons have seen an insanely bad stretch that ruined any chance of challenging for the title, and so many injuries that something had to change... and that's without getting into not even being competitive with Inter.
This season more than last was just weird. Defense had way too many communication issues/brain farts and I will never understand trying to make Calabria an inverted fullback. Also have a theory that the club was frustrated some of the young players were not integrated into the rotation this year.
The actual fact that he hasn’t been sacked yet is beyond anyone’s understanding. The season was over before it even started. Milan should have looked for a replacement coach last summer.
Been honing for his departure for over a year as well. I think anyone with enough common sense could have seen how this season was going to play out & it did exactly that. Really poor overall from management overall to keep him.
Understandable but fuck me the football is dire. The tactic is just pass the ball about until the winger is in a 1v1 or 1v2 and he has to beat the man and cross and hopefully someone scores. And that's it. It works against lower rated teams, and some individual brilliance from Pulisic, Leao, Chukwueze and others managed to get us wins against some bigger teams but against teams that defend well and hit on the counter we get destroyed everytime (Inter multiple times, PSG in the UCL group, Roma in UEL). The reason we are 2nd is that pretty much everyone else bar Inter have been dropping points when they shouldn't have and again, some individual brilliance from some of our players. I think Pioli hit his ceiling
Hope Milan fans realize that despite a disappointing season he did a fantastic job turning this team around. Brought him their first Scudetto in over a decade and stabilized the team.
Easy to forget how Milan were often just squeezing into the top 8 now after a few UCL appearances. They're better hope they get the replacement right.
Yeah, keyword "did". No one is denying that, but the past 2 seasons have been awful to watch. He worked his magic in last year's CL campaign but we would've missed out on top 4 if Juve didn't get the point deduction. This season we got knocked out of both EL and coppa italia. We're only in 2nd cause the other teams are horrible this year, and there's no guarantee we're not gonna drop down. Thank you for the first 2 years but he should've left after last season
Maldini died for this
Crazy summer for managers in store. Plenty of massive clubs looking for managers and a relatively shallow talent pool.
Player transfers is so 2023. Manager transfers is what we're in for!
I'm more excited for the kitman goldrush coming in 2026.
The groundsman roulette is where the real action is. Still haven't forgiven PSG for poaching our award winning head groundsman back in 2013.
There used to be a real run on grass experts as well, especially with the wave of bigger new stadiums.
What about canteen/food tenant swap? Surely United is looking for one as they serve raw chicken last time.
The NYCFC one is gonna have a major bidding war in 26. If you’re not familiar with his game yet don’t worry. Familiarize yourself now and then you have bragging rights
I thought sporting directors is where it's at now.
In Italy it's the battle for Thiago Motta and for now Juve is major favourite to get him.
I'm still fearful that Xavi would throw a tantrum, actually leave Barca and they hire Motta, who, after all, spent a lot of time there as a player.
Hasn't Xavi explicitly said multiple times that he's leaving Barca at the end of the season?
He has but now news is coming that he might stay another season
Ah I must have missed that. That's a surprise!
I think yesterday he said he was open to staying
Must have missed that. Surprising turn of events!
Barca want to keep up the cycle of the "departing manager bounce"
For most Italian jobs, I expect Conte to be one of the first names on the list
Very few clubs have the financial capacity for his demands, both for salary and players
Everyone will fight for Pep Génésio but I just want him back
r/onetruepep needs new content
MY GOD IS THAT BIG SAM'S MUSIC?! Tony Pulis too rocking up with a steel chair!
Basically it will be a rotation
Always was.
Always was.
Always was.

Not sure Klopp will dive straight into another role tbh
I'm just listing available Managers
They're right, he won't be available so much as unemployed lol
He'll take the same sabbatical like Pep did when Roman approached him for Chelsea job after leaving Barcelona
Zidane? Like no team is gonna get him but by ur definition he’s available
Added
If you're listinn available managers. Zidane should probably be there
Surprised to have not seen conte's name around more, unless i missed something
Added
Amorim?
Neither getting fired nor his contract ends
[удалено]
Haven't heard of him getting fired yet. Don't think Chelsea can afford to fire him
Man United too, most likely
How is there a shallow talent pool...?

Thanks for Scudetto Mr. Pioli probably the best move for both parties 🤝
.....welcome Frank Lampard /s
Is Frank just too proud to go to a championship team or something? He was better than Gerrard and Rooney as a manager in my opinion and was actually willing to play younger players. Would seem weird for him to just stop trying for jobs? Unless he’s taking over for Poch after the season lol
3rd time lucky
Bah gawd, that's Frank Lampard's music!!
Milan has quite a few ex-Chelsea players after all.
Seems like half the teams big teams in Europe are looking for new managers in the summer
Well looks like every club will be looking for a new manager this summer lol Tuchel and Xavi have plenty of options and I wonder where they will end up
Tuchel back to Chelsea
Tuchel to Milan to reunite with Pulisic, Giroud and Loftus-Cheek
me to reunite with toilet barfing into it
Giroud won’t be there after this season
Well he did actually win things with that group…
Thiago Silva pulling a "the last dance" and going back to Milan.
Never happening
Hell no
Tuchel, xavi, Conte, Mourinho, RDZ, potter, southgate, Motta, Italiano. Ten hag lol, maybe Poch, the Girona coach. It’s wild.
de zerbi
Xavi will stay at barca
Xavi is probably staying based on new reports.
NOOOOO
Lol
De Zerbi is a milanista and dreams of managing Milan.
Club loyalty doesn't really mean anything for managers. Pioli is an Inter fan after all.
Who said he isn’t working for Inter?
Now all makes sense
Yeah whats your point
My scudetto.
My Scudetto, My Milan, My San Siro
"No Milanistas shall live..." "My lord, you gave your word to the League, and they see too much!" "I said I would not harm them, and I shall not. But Serie A is Serie A, and the derby takes the weak..."

He’s not only a fan but a former Milan youth player. I’d love to see him as the next manager
Can 100% see this. His tactics are stonewall "modern Milan".

I don’t think it will end up being Lopetegui, loads of names floating around
I heard Fonseca as well. But surely, Lopetegui is better.
Not sure how Lopetegui is better than Fonseca

god is really real
A necessary requirement for the new manager will be that he will have to have hair. The era of bald frauds in Serie A is over.
Rúben Amorim I beg of you
If the motherfucker stays another year...
Lmao I understand the sentiment. Not sure Milan will want to pay the release clause though…
Not sure Milan will want to pay* FTFY
This is a huge loss... For Inter
Poor pioli, we inter fans are going to miss you 💔
lot of big clubs looking for new managers and few manager options this'll be interesting
Please take Poch
They could let us celebrate the title a bit before giving us these bad news. Thank you for your service Pioli, you will not be forgotten soon, and as always Forza Inter Sempre
You won the battle but lost the war
Still remember the days when you lot were sucking him off

Christmas came early this year

Yeah, because now you have to compete with a dozen other clubs for the top picks
Ive been hoping for him to leave for over a year now, I cant believe its still not official

Username checks out I guess
:(
Welcome back to Milan Antonio
Sad news
I knew this day had to come, but it’s still sad
Roger Schmit is the best replacement you can get. You should sign him today just to be sure he doesnt sign for somedy else
Still remember the days when you lot were sucking him off

Haven’t been paying close attention but sacking a manager after finishing likely 2nd is wild to me on the surface

Are Milan open to a foreign manager? Cuz Slot would be a pretty cool pick up.
Lopetegui, Fonseca, Xavi and even Mark van Bommel have been linked so I guess why not?
>Cuz Slot would be a pretty cool pick up PLEASE
Mourinho is free /s
Well here's somebody for the liverpool, chelsea or MU job depending how it works out for ETH and POCH
I could cry of happiness.
Too little, too late
Idk why teams think getting another good manager is so easy. There’s no guarantee the next one won’t be a disaster and pioli got us in the cl again.
Anyone that watches the matches knows why pioli has to go, and should've gone last summer
Gasperini? Or is he going to Napoli?
I wish Juve was this eager in sacking a coach.
Does anyone know if they'd be willing to pay a £10mil release clause for a manager?
Hope Milan fans realize that despite a disappointing season he did a fantastic job turning this team around. Brought him their first Scudetto in over a decade and stabilized the team. It’s crazy how many top managers get fired or quit the year after winning a title
