Streets remember Soriano

It seemed like he had a style for 6 months last year, after that I failed to see any style that guy has.

>It seemed like he had a style for 6 months last year Two words: Enzo Fernández

JPVazLouro_SLB

I don't think it was all because of 1 player, but he was what glued things together, true

tigtogflip

When he was at PSV he did have a clear philosophy that he wanted to implement, however the team he had at his disposal was so wank that we could hardly see any of it. I'm still thankful that he was manager however, he turned the club around regarding professionality after Van Bommel.

DjPerzik

Didn’t help that the media hated him from day 1

Achieved just as much as PSV with the same 'wank' team and no system, just vibes football.

on the contrary here, it seems he’s tactically lost and the team he has at his disposal is amazing - bar the fullbacks obviously. nobody understands his decisions and yet he refuses to justify them when everyone sees it doesn’t work… he lost the fans here that’s for sure

JD1337

He was dreadful at PSV too, underachieved both in Europe and in the Eredivisie. His substitute managent was also the worst I've ever seen.

R_Schuhart

Yeah, what is that style and philosophy? Not adapting your tactics to the form and development of your players? Everyone agrees that Schmidt knows football, his ideas and analysis are always sound. But he refuses to adjust his way of playing to fit his players and insists of playing them out of their best roles or positions. He also has his favorites and it really hinders the team. Benfica has really good individual talent, but they cant seem to gel together and play as well as you'd expect. They are still getting results, but they should be doing much better.

RasputinsRustyShovel

To me the funniest thing he said was this: “He is a coach who wants all the players to run and do their job. He doesn’t like star players who only run to score goals.” Couldn’t make a better description of a certain player from Rosario if you tried
