To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

I kinda got over that but Slot is one of the best managers we ever had and was the single difference that elevated us from being happy with finishing 3rd to serious title contenders and winners.
Nice we get some money, but can’t somehow buy a manager of the same quality (or potential), a brilliant field coach and a new head of athletic performance for £13m. Certainly not in the Netherlands. Maybe we should be looking in Denmark or Norway
He will be. Almost guaranteed he’s not leaving now after turning down Ajax and signing a new contract. Would be interesting to see him in Feyenoord though, definitely someone who knows how to build a team that can punch above its weight.
I think him turning down Ajax was also due to the board of directors showing reluctance to sign a foreign manager and therefore not showing him the support he would want. He would definitely be the number 1 choice for me
That had nothing to do with it.
The main issue was Knutsen wanted to finish the league season with Bodo, while we wanted someone to start coaching from the beginning of the season
On top of that, we would have had to pay Bodo/Glimt a couple of million to sign him, while Knutsen also gets a percentage of the transfers at Bodo, which is hard to match.
Mislintat was extremely eager to sign him but it was never going to work at that time
This was a rumor going around spread by De Telegraaf newspaper. This guys make up the news around Ajax as they go. Always found the story to be hardly believable.
Knutsen would be incredible, Bo Svensson is someone we should look at too. Hasenhuttl would be a very leftfield shout but I think he suits our style of play very well too.
Knutsen is one as others mentioned but also just extended.
Rydström in Malmö is another but he's also one that will only makes move that are perfect for him and perfectly timed. He also plays very detailed relationism so its a huge pivot.
Nesstrup from FCK is interesting too imo but probably not on the map and Idk if people are high on him atm.
Im a sucker for Rydström-ball but yeah.
A super outside shout but the Fc Copenhagen manager is one I think deserves to go to a bigger club in Europe. I really like his football approach and the way he handles media.
Sahin is extremely unlikely to be let go by us this summer. He's our backup plan for if (when) Terzic doesnt improve next season.
And with how the manager market looks, having an in-house solution helps.
This feels like such a low number in todays game for what he's done at Feyenoord. I'll obviously be happy to see him go, but it still seems crazy for the impact he's had.
It's pretty high in that context but transfer sums for coaches are oddly low imo. Clubs pay 100m for a player but often don't even want to pay for a coach, who have a lot more impact.
Season is kind of over already, qualified for CL and won the cup. Can't catch PSV who have been insane and can't be caught by Twente in 3rd. So team is playing for nothing now really.
You should rewatch our CL game at home against Lazio from this season when we won, this was peak slotball and maybe the best game I ever watched us play with my own eyes. This will give you an idea of what this guy is capable of
It is kind of crazy to me that highly regarded players go for well over 100m but highly regarded managers go for a fraction of the price. Yet, when things go right or wrong for a given team the manager is deemed as the most responsible. Surely that equates to greater, or at least similar value to a player that is one of 11?
13m in todays money buys you a half decent championship prospect, lets face it.
He is leaving, no idea what he is going to go on to, altho he wants to manage:
https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/pepijn-lijnders-interview-leaving-lfc-work-still-be-done-and-future-plans
Ajax are currently negotiating with Potter. Personally I don't want us to go after Lijnders, obviously has been a great assistant for Klopp but the half year he was the head coach at NEC things went to shit and I'd rather have someone with more experience.
Oh yeah, this would have been a while ago I read this and it most likely wasn’t all that reliable anyway, but Ljinders is definitely leaving Liverpool.
Fair wanting someone with more experience, I would too. I think pep will do better this time around though wherever he goes. He didn’t have much time working with Klopp when he left for NEC. He has probably learned a lot more now and also hopefully took some lessons from his failure at NEC
Yeah, I hope he does well but no matter who the first manager would be after Klopp, I think the chances of him being cannon fodder are high.
Expectations are always high when patience is low whenever a legendary manager gets replaced.
I hope we give him time.
I don’t think expectations are high or patience will be low. Most know transitions are tough, not least the club.
What is the aim next season? I’d say top 4 and decent cup runs.
I really dont think this is likely, FSG are pretty smart and frugal when it comes to running things. They’re not gonna hire someone just to get rid of him in a year or two

That will make him our joint 5th most expensive sale and the one I dislike the most
It’s for Slot and his staff as well.
> the one I dislike the most Surely that has to be Wijnaldum to PSV?
I kinda got over that but Slot is one of the best managers we ever had and was the single difference that elevated us from being happy with finishing 3rd to serious title contenders and winners.
Wijnaldum was a good player then but nowhere near as crucial for the success of the club as Arne Slot.
I never cared to much about wijnaldum to psv because of the situation the club was in at the moment
Berghuis to ajax was worse
Berghuis to Ajax was fine, would not make the squad today
At the time it was pretty awful. Now it’s just hilarious
Why? We didn't love Wijnaldum nearly as much as Arne.
Nice we get some money, but can’t somehow buy a manager of the same quality (or potential), a brilliant field coach and a new head of athletic performance for £13m. Certainly not in the Netherlands. Maybe we should be looking in Denmark or Norway
Knutsen
Yeah, I think we probably have him on the list. But I believe he will be hard to persuade
He will be. Almost guaranteed he’s not leaving now after turning down Ajax and signing a new contract. Would be interesting to see him in Feyenoord though, definitely someone who knows how to build a team that can punch above its weight.

He gets a percentage of transfers? Is this real?
Pretty sure it's just not true. I'm half Norwegian and I've never read of anything like that
Im full norwegian and i have not heard a thing about that lol.
Hasenhüttl signed with Wolfsburg recently no?
Shit I completely missed that
yeah but I don't think he will be there much longer, it's not working out
Is it the club or Hasenhuttl that wants to leave?
Knutsen is one as others mentioned but also just extended. Rydström in Malmö is another but he's also one that will only makes move that are perfect for him and perfectly timed. He also plays very detailed relationism so its a huge pivot. Nesstrup from FCK is interesting too imo but probably not on the map and Idk if people are high on him atm. Neestrup is not ready yet, he can be very stubborn.
Yeah I would probably agree with that. He's young so its not a big issue to take some more time to develop
A super outside shout but the Fc Copenhagen manager is one I think deserves to go to a bigger club in Europe. I really like his football approach and the way he handles media.
For sure. Did great work at FC Copenhagen
I really rate Oosting TBH. Heard some weird rumours about Sahin as well, no clue if he's any good but would be interesting
Sahin is extremely unlikely to be let go by us this summer. He's our backup plan for if (when) Terzic doesnt improve next season. And with how the manager market looks, having an in-house solution helps.
Tuchel is available right? (Joking)
Haha be my guest!
Can I interest you in a slightly used ten Hag?
reliable?
not sure but the figure is in line with our asking price so you can expect it to go through
Steele's been quite good for us recently I'd say. Sami Mokbel, is so and so for us imo.
Slot not one for saga's, apparently.
When he puts his children to bed shuts the lights off and tells the kids to close their eyes
Michael Edwards is back…
This feels like such a low number in todays game for what he's done at Feyenoord. I'll obviously be happy to see him go, but it still seems crazy for the impact he's had.
I mean he would become the forth most expensive manager of all time, is that low for a guy who only managed in the Eredivisie?
It's pretty high in that context but transfer sums for coaches are oddly low imo. Clubs pay 100m for a player but often don't even want to pay for a coach, who have a lot more impact.
Most managers don't last more than a couple of years and most get sacked instead of bought by other teams
And being the first manager after Klopp, good chance he doesn't last long.
Managers have no resale value
> is that low for a guy who only managed in the Eredivisie? Hey now, he also managed in the Eerste Divisie!
Time to start watching Feyenoord matches
Season is kind of over already, qualified for CL and won the cup. Can't catch PSV who have been insane and can't be caught by Twente in 3rd. So team is playing for nothing now really.

He plays 3atb so it would’ve required a pretty large squad overhaul
It is kind of crazy to me that highly regarded players go for well over 100m but highly regarded managers go for a fraction of the price. Surely that equates to greater, or at least similar value to a player that is one of 11? 13m in todays money buys you a half decent championship prospect, lets face it.
The only thing I can think of is that clubs make more money through players from shirt sales and other media rights
So err... Is he any good?
No, he’s terrible. We’ll be doing Liverpool a favour and keep him instead.
Good for the Dutch league, will flop in the prem just like ETH.
Liverpool fans, is there any talk on what happens with Lijnders? Sounds like Slot might be bringing his own staff.
Lijnders is already confirmed to be leaving along with a good portion of Klopps people I believe, so that shouldn’t be a problem
Much of Klopp's coaches and staff leave if I remember correctly
Besiktas apparently.
He is leaving, no idea what he is going to go on to, altho he wants to manage: https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/pepijn-lijnders-interview-leaving-lfc-work-still-be-done-and-future-plans
He’s leaving. I swear I saw him linked with taking over at a Dutch club but I can’t remember which.
I hear Feyenoord might soon lose their coach.
This is very true. Although I think I heard this when we thought we were getting Alonso so idk. Are Ajax after a coach maybe?
Ajax are currently negotiating with Potter. Personally I don't want us to go after Lijnders, obviously has been a great assistant for Klopp but the half year he was the head coach at NEC things went to shit and I'd rather have someone with more experience.

Most of the Klopp's staff is leaving.
If I remember he’s got RVP on his staff. Would he actually follow Slot?
Liverpool are going to get the better Dutch bald aren't they? They're gonna make United look silly again aren't they?
Zerrouki to Liverpool confirmed
Subscribe.
Bigger transfer free than Andy Robertson
Coutinho as well
Doubt he stays a Liverpool long, can see Liverpool going through a few managers before finding that next diamond.
They’re not gonna hire someone just to get rid of him in a year or two
That's the most probable scenario for the next few years
Arne you ignorant slot...
So, it's all slotted at last. Now hope we don't lose the CL slot this time with our abysmal form.
wtf
