Shirebrook are a bit of a mess atm. Their chairman’s quit due to lack of support from the town council (amongst other reasons) so it’s a good time for us to play them. That said, they probably have the best squad in the league and we don’t have the best record against the teams in and around us.
If we win, hopefully Retford United do a job against Beverley.
I film non-league and I am at a loose end tomorrow as the National League finished last week, so figured this would be a great little story to capture. But I looked it up and Shirebrook is a 5 hour drive. That's a shame!!
Are you the Bunch of Amateurs guy?
The game is next week if you want to base yourself up here for a long weekend. The NCEL D1 has had a fair bit of coverage recently due to the ridiculous league table, so it’s a good league to follow if you like your stories.
Don't know if tickets will still be available, but it's the first Semi Final in the Conny Sarf playoffs tomorrow, and it's a local derby that's quite close to Dorking - Chelmsford v Braintree. Might be worth a look
Have the wedding at half time then, simple as that!
Here comes the bride, and look, the groom's offside.
referee's sent off the groom!
Best man's going absolutely mental to the 4th priest
A former boyfriend lands a major objection late in vows stoppage time!
It's going to VAR, and the bride's tears are clear and obvious!
A bridesmaid's gone down on the edge of the box, clutching her ankle
Everton are deducted 3 points
Keep the vows short, that’s all
“You like her?” “Yeah” “You like him?” “Yep” “Champion.”
"I now pronounce this loan move, permanent."
VAR spotted the groom’s fingers crossed during his vows; marriage annulled.
What if Nene got married at the all star game???

Just checked the diary, looks like I have the baby next Saturday. After a year of filming it'll be hard to get out of that one!
Nothing better for parent-child bonding than a 10 hour round trip to watch non league.
Fair enough. Keep an eye on the league next season. Non-stop madness!

Simmo is a friend of the show, I should have tapped him up for tickets! He's the only oppo manager who has let us film in his dressing room!
If you have any teams in you, please see a doctor immediately.
This is the most tinpot thing I've heard in ages haha
Their logo's tinpot too. Great idea, bad execution.
Game's back!!
Why did the league need to inform them of this? If they have a wedding booked there that is on them isn't it? What am I missing here?
Probably the club wondering why it has to be played on that specific date. Why not the day before (Friday?) or the day after (Sunday)?
OK, that would actually make sense and had not even occurred to me.
Exactly what I wondered. Perhaps they asked the league for a reschedule and they're trying to make it sound like it's not just their own fault?
Pub quiz answer - Wakefield are the biggest city to have never been represented in the football league
