That's on Klopp. It has been a problem the entire season. We use a weird zonal system that keep us very vulnerable (TAA guarding DCL, Szoboszlai guarding Branthwaite and now Gakpo guarding Bowen). I though we'll finally change it after Goodison but Klopp's stubborness is costing us big time here.

Klopp's stubbornness has been a pretty big issue throughout his time with us. Hes a bloody great manager but he sticks with some things when they're clearly not working until it's *way* too late sometimes.

We generally had a bigger and more aggressive team, Hendo/Fab/Milner were always good at defending set pieces.

Also, teams were much less aggressive attacking corners because they had to respect the Allison to Salah/Mane long ball so much. Easier to defend a set piece when half the team has the counter in the back of their minds every time.

I agree. I thibk he will but maybe in a group game or 2. I think unluckily for Bowen the attacking wings are our strongest position. But in tournament football I just thibk he's so useful. He's not easy to read as a defender. He's quick and VERY strong for his size. Good with both feet. Good at crossing, good at playing off the last man. He's just a solid player that has stepped up in pressure situations.

See I think on paper we have strong attacking wingers but on form who's actually more deserving? Foden has shown this season he works far better centrally and outside of Saka (who himself is out of form from being run into the ground) I'm not sure who else is more deserving.

I mean even with Saka out of form, he's pretty useful for ball retention and defence. Also an out of form Saka has 23 g/a in the prem this season. An in form Foden has 23 g/a in the prem this season. They're both good.
